The food was very good. The duck was especially delicious.

Wonton soup was a disaster, no taste at all, just water. The crispy chicken was okay, but the sweet and sour sauce was full of vinegar, and the vegetables... no way. Never again.

We've been regular customers for years, but unfortunately this time it was a complete disappointment. We each received our food one after the other, and I had to wait 1.5 hours for mine while the others had already finished. The service was practically nonexistent.

I ordered delivery through Uber, they had a 1+1 deal. I got the spring rolls, and there were only four of them in one serving, and they were tasteless. The chicken was okay, but too little. I was expecting to feed four people with two bowls of soup and two servings of chicken noodles. Two people ended up going home, and my friend and I were left waiting for the delivery. It was just awful! The soup looked like someone's vomit; there was so little of it that the two of us barely ate our fill with two servings of spring rolls, two servings of chicken, and two servings of soup. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially since the soup and the rolls were completely tasteless. I definitely wouldn't pay 30 euros for this. It's a good thing I got a big discount and got everything for 12 euros.

Today I had an absolutely terrible experience; I had to wait well over 45 minutes for my food! The appetizer (spring roll) with a single lettuce leaf from Lidl looked simply awful. Also worth mentioning is the lack of attention from the server; you wait ages for a new drink.

I've never had such a bad dining experience! The room was very cold; a jacket was necessary. The staff was unhelpful and spoke hardly any German. The Peking duck I ordered turned out to be little more than a glorified vegetable platter. Never again!!!

I ordered food from there. By far the worst I've had in a long time. I could count the pieces of crispy duck on my noodles on one hand, and my husband had the same experience with his crispy chicken. The noodles were dark brown. My husband loves Peking soup, but this tasted like dishwater...

A complete disaster from start to finish. We entered the restaurant, but no one from the staff even acknowledged us. When we asked if we could choose our own table, we received a curt "yes." Our first instinct was to flee, but we'd already been there, and the reviews were decent. It took about 30 minutes for our drinks and an hour and a half for our food. We felt that was a long wait—the restaurant wasn't even close to being full. That other tables were served before us—well, you never know. The food was edible. Nothing more, nothing less. Then we received a bill written in Chinese characters?! There was no receipt. We didn't bother asking about it, though. We just wanted to get out of there. The one waitress was trying her best, but she was clearly new and couldn't salvage the experience. I almost feel bad giving such a low rating—see my other reviews. But this was a complete waste of time and money. The restaurant is generally in need of repair in many areas (torn seat cushions, damaged wood trim on the sides, no toilet paper or soap...) - but that's just a minor point. Our priority is the food and service.

Absolutely not recommended. I waited over 1.5 hours for the food, only to receive the worst meal I've ever eaten. The waiter responded to the criticism by saying it wasn't his fault, the chefs weren't in the mood, and we should give it a bad review. I've never experienced anything like this before, and I feel compelled to write my first ever Google review.

We (four people) waited 1.5 hours for our food. Three meals were served. One didn't arrive for another 20 minutes. The appetizer came with the main course. The rice was cold by then. The atmosphere in the restaurant was somewhat tense, as so many guests had to wait a long time. The food itself was oily and not particularly special. The service was friendly and apologetic. We wouldn't come back.

I enter, no one greets me, I take a seat, no one comes to my table, a Chinese woman across from me is eating with her fingers, smacking her lips as she goes, there's no menu, and I, with my walker, don't want to eat from the buffet. I wait a moment, then I get dressed again and leave this unpleasant place as unnoticed as I entered, for the first and last time.

The food was cold and unseasoned. The mushrooms were rock hard; I was very disappointed. The chef here urgently needs to attend a training course.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. After a long day of walking around the city, the music in the restaurant was refreshing, and the meal was energizing. A perfect place to relax and recharge! There was also a good variety of dishes for kids, and our kids loved their food too. We’ll definitely visit again on our next trip!

We popped in spontaneously and were kindly given free wine, but unfortunately the previous owner's lipstick was still on the cup. Ordered a spring roll and was glad it even arrived. As they say, better late than never. We waited a long time for the main course, and the taste was very poor.

The worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I can't understand why there are so many positive reviews. The soup ended up in the trash after one spoonful. The chicken was completely flavorless.

What a disaster!!! There were two of us there around 5 p.m., and the restaurant was almost empty. Nevertheless, the waiter who served us was completely overwhelmed. We had ordered, but my colleague's appetizer was completely forgotten. Then the main course came, and we had to wait a very long time for the accompanying rice. The cutlery arrived long after the rice. They have special boxes with candles inside that are supposed to warm the plates and/or keep the food warm, but these candles weren't even lit. Not just at our table, but at all the other tables as well. At the neighboring table, a couple was completely ignored for half an hour, so they left, quite rightly sour. We left a zero-cent tip. Conclusion: Just try to get a seat in the restaurant to the left of the Mandarin. I think you're better off there at the moment. I hope the Mandarin returns to its roots and becomes what it was a few years ago.

Once & never again! 0 out of 5 stars. It was lunchtime, the restaurant was moderately busy, and yet we still had to wait over an hour for our food. It only came after we asked for it. No apology, nothing, and it didn't taste good at all. The ambiance was also dark and dated, and the service was terrible. Don't be fooled by the good reviews; it wasn't cheap either (as everyone here claims).

This place is the worst tasting chinese restaurant in Dresden, literally you will want your money when you order a food. I have ordered online and it was cold. The taste is the worst part, really bland and tasteless, it will taste like nothing. I can swear that chinese food never tastes like this bland. Their lamb meat was the hardest thing i've ever chewed and half of the meat just went to trash cuz it wasn't edible. Vegetables were really weird. I just literally puked, thats y i'm writing this. Worst food in town.

We really enjoyed the food. We were there for lunch; they offer affordable menus and generous portions. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Only the ambiance (the terrace) could be a bit more appealing.

Unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. The service/kitchen was very inattentive and brought the wrong food twice. When the correct food arrived, it was cold, and the duck was very dry. When we finished our meal, we wanted to take the rest with us, but when we unwrapped the food at home, we discovered that part of the portion (which we had paid for) hadn't been wrapped. All in all, a real waste of money and time!

I took a takeaway but the restaurant was quite busy. The service was still very professional and he was very friendly all the time. This was not the first time as i was here a few weeks ago and the same waiter was very friendly. Very good value for money compared with a few other similar restaurants.

Ordering through Lieferando was a disaster – over an hour of preparation time for mini spring rolls and a tiny Peking soup. For almost €5, you get a whole four mini spring rolls without any sauce. The delivery bag also contained crumpled old newspaper – I've never seen anything like it before. I strongly advise against ordering from them.

The simple ambiance makes you feel uncomfortable in the restaurant. But then again, the waiter isn't there either. If you want to pay, you have to look for him. The food is too bland. The taste is rather disappointing. You're used to something different from other Asian restaurants. It's a waste of money.

Both my rice and the baked duck tasted of nothing. Very disappointing. The waitress was very nice and the food came quickly. The ambiance is rather dated, and some of the seating is damaged. I would advise against visiting here.

The lunch specials were very good, with soup included. Everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed it. The service was friendly, and the relaxing music in the venue was perfectly matched.

A friend and I wanted to try some "authentic" Chinese food and chose this place. We were greeted with a bowl of plum wine, which was very pleasant, but the starters were the first disappointments: The Szechuan-style beef salad was a bit pale, but tasty, with a very nice texture. The baked platter (I think that's what it was called) was the first act of ridiculousness. An obscene amount of an unidentifiable sour sauce, mini spring rolls that were definitely from a frozen mass-produced package, and to cover it all, a mountain of prawn crackers. A questionable amount of it was homemade. The sauce, perhaps. We ordered three different main courses, but could only distinguish them by the smallest details, as the contents and flavors were almost as alike as two peas in a pod. The extra-hot sauce was exactly 0.00000000000000% hot; I've eaten spicier white bread. The meat texture was very good again. That was the second act. It culminated in the third act, when the table collapsed halfway during dinner, beer spilled, pants got dirty, and the food almost fell to the floor. The waiter seemed unimpressed, and we customers then evacuated the dishes from the table to avoid broken glass, as the table continued to sink. We were simply accused of "must have messed around with our feet underneath it." So it seemed to be our fault that they provided dilapidated furniture. There was no apology, of course. (We then noticed that a nut was missing on the side where the table was sinking, and if you put your foot too close to the crossbar, the connector slips out of the rod, which the waiter seemed to be aware of, as he immediately targeted our feet.) We then abandoned our food, had it packed up, and said we wanted to pay. Unfortunately, no one came with a bill or a wallet; everyone just stood around with their smartphones. I then went in and "demanded" to pay. We were actually planning to leave if they weren't interested in our money, but we didn't want to commit a crime. Dear restaurant: I would have liked to have voiced this criticism verbally and in person, but I won't let myself be fooled/trolled or taken for a fool. If there's no interest in a minimum of service, I'm not willing to accommodate you. I can't answer whether the food is authentically Chinese, as I haven't been to China yet. If you like very tender meat, you can give it a try. Perhaps we were unlucky with the service, furniture, and seasoning, but I can't imagine that so many coincidences coincide. I advise against a visit.

The food is not tasty! We paid by card. The waiter did not give us the bill or the receipt. He said that he only gives it to us if we pay in cash!

We managed to get a table even without a reservation. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and attentive. The value for money is excellent – we'll be back!

We visited the Chinese restaurant "Mandarin" and were more than satisfied! We were particularly pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable pricing policy – ​​the portions are large and generous, and most importantly: all the dishes were delicious, harmonious in flavor, and perfectly balanced. A true culinary experience! The red interior creates a cozy and warm atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made our evening even more enjoyable. We can say with certainty: We will definitely be back! Another personal thought: Places like this are rare – where price, quality, ambiance, and service fit together so well. A clear recommendation!

Horrible food, reheated vegetables, sweet and sour sauce tasted like gravy, rice was overcooked, and chicken tasted like nothing. The waiter was very nice, though.

Asian here and we needed a quick noodle/rice fixed. Huge portions but mediocre standard. We had vegetable glass noodles and duck stir-fried noodles. Duck was tough and dry, both noodles was ok-flavoured. The restaurant was really warm because it's summer, but the air-conditioning wasn't turned on. Rather unpleasant having a meal while trying to fan off the heat.

The food was not great and took a long time to prepare as they prioritised the larger groups that came after us.

Super great restaurant, we ended up here by chance while walking through Dresden. Mega large selection of dishes and desserts. The prices are totally reasonable. Simply top👍

So while virtually looking for a place to have dinner, I came across this little restaurant and I have to say, it's worth the trip. We both chose a dish of the day, i.e. with starter soup. You can sit inside and outside, the service is fast, friendly and very accommodating. The food was very tasty, I love Asian and was very impressed. The selection is very large and there is something for every taste. Price/performance ratio is very, very good, 11 euros for lunch (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and many dishes for 13-15 euros the rest of the time. If I lived in Dresden, I would be a regular guest there.

Wieder mal geschmacklich seeeeehr leeeeckeeer. Einfach TOPP. Eine sehr große Auswahl. Preislich ist es mehr als angemessen. Bei jedem Dresdenbesuch sind wir hier und haben noch kein Asiaten gefunden, der geschmacklich nahe kommt.

The restaurant is so dirty that you lose your appetite. I still gave it a chance because the rating was quite high - which I absolutely cannot understand in retrospect. I felt extremely uncomfortable, chairs and tables were dirty and stained. The taste of the food ranged from OK to completely tasteless. Not too expensive in terms of price, but the food is absolutely not worth the money. I strongly advise against visiting - extremely unhygienic and mediocre food.

First time here and expected more in terms of food. The food is plentiful, there's a wide selection, prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, the taste is lacking. It's just like any other restaurant. But I still recommend it.

We had the Peking duck menu, and it was truly highly recommended. As a small treat, we were offered a delicious plum wine and soup to start with. The typical Chinese way of eating duck skin was demonstrated and explained to us during the second course, which was very interesting. The main course with lots of vegetables and duck meat was truly delicious. To finish, you could choose between baked banana or pineapple with ice cream and honey, sweet but so delicious. 😋 Another very positive thing to mention is the incredibly friendly staff!☺️ I do give a very small deduction for the decor. It has a typically Chinese decor, and three large round tables with rotating tops are perfect for dining with a larger group, but the tablecloths and other items could use a refresh. 😉

I am so grateful that this restaurant brings traditional Chinese cuisine to Germany. If you have someone with you who can recommend good dishes, then you can really feast here and eat your fill. (This afternoon, after a long and tiring journey, I satisfied my hunger for the whole day with the spicy Mapo Tofu and the fiery sweet Hui guo rou!)

You could make a reservation here at short notice. Even though it wasn't busy, it took a while to get a menu. Large selection of dishes. Reasonably priced. Food: The hot and sour soup needed more salt, and the rice tasted like water. You had to ask for dessert, but it was forgotten.

If you don't have any demands when it comes to taste, you've come to the right place. Everything tastes like the highway, so it's nice and straight. The prawns from the “spicy menu” were probably just carried into the kitchen past the chillies. Neither the crispy duck nor the "spicy" shrimp had the typical Thai taste. The chicken tasted like chicken, but the rice was also highway, there wasn't even any salt on it and that's actually the only thing that should be on it. 🤷🤷🤷

Although Chinese food is certainly more delicious than German food, the cooking techniques for the taste and taste of the dishes need to be improved!

Not recommended at all. If you're looking for good Chinese food in Dresden, better luck elsewhere. I came with some friends for dinner, and the food that we ordered was average at best. We had their duck special, hot and sour soup, fish in chili oil, kung pao chicken and some veggies - everything was mediocre, and the rice was of a cheap quality. Food came really quickly and service was okay, but we were very disappointed because of one incident: One of us (she) was using the bathroom and a man 'accidentally' opened the door as it could not be locked properly. We suspected it was one of the staff as the person muttered something in Chinese, so we complained to the waitress about it. She shrugged it off and did not offer any help to investigate the matter. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed with both the meal and experience.

Really bad experiences. The waiter was breaking into female toilet without knocking on the door. Disgusting! The food was just on average. Highly not recommend! I went to have dinner with some foreign friends and used the restroom. The women's restroom is on the first floor. Because the lock handle is very tight, I thought it was locked after I twisted it. Suddenly, a man speaking Chinese came in. It's really disgusting 🤢I reported it to the waitress, but she didn't care about it. There was only one Chinese man at the front desk in the lobby. I couldn't see his face clearly at the time, so I wasn't sure whether it was the man at the front desk or the man in the kitchen. However, there were no other Chinese men in the dining hall. It's clearly written on the toilet door that the first floor is the women's restroom and the men's restroom is on the second floor! The waiter barging into the women's restroom is really disgusting. No one responded to my feedback, not even an apology. It's so disgusting🤢

Top authentic Chinese restaurant. ATTENTION: There are two cards. 1 x the typical “A3 chicken and sour card” and a Chinese card, which you then have to translate with a camera translator. We had various very good dishes, and I particularly liked the cabbage with bacon. 100% recommendation if you ask for the “right” card.

I loved the Place and they could take us even as walk in as it was during christmas time.

We found this restaurant on the Google map and they did not disappoint us! The waiter welcomed us with a great smile and he is the only one running the show! He took out our and brings us hot tea which is great enjoyment in the very cold day when we visit the Dresden! All three dishes are delicious and very well seasoned, not too salty, just right! This is the place that you have to come when you visit the Cathedral and museum here for a change of dining option from the very heavy and salty German cuisine!

Waren gestern mit 6 Personen vor Ort, leider waren alle Gerichte sehr schlecht, das Fleisch war minderer Qualität die Saucen ohne Geschmack und der Reis verkocht, die „knusprige“ Ente war in der Sauce geladen und total wabbelig und hatte einige fett stellen.

I’m a Malaysian Chinese who has traveled to Europe many times, and I enjoy trying Chinese restaurants in different cities and countries. Unfortunately, I can only rate this restaurant 2 stars overall. The curry beef was quite good, with tender meat, but the bean curd dish was terrible. Perhaps other dishes are better, but I didn’t try them. As for the service, I would give it just 1 star. The waitstaff were extremely disappointing. When I tried to ask one of the Chinese waitresses about the chef’s signature dishes, his response was simply, “I don’t know.” I then approached another waitress, but he was even worse—completely ignoring me and showing no interest at all. he had bad body odor. The only reason I came here was because I’d been eating Western food for several days and wanted some Asian cuisine, but sadly, this experience was very underwhelming. Would I return to this restaurant? The answer is no. I hope the owner reads this review and takes steps to improve both the service and the quality of the food.

Phew, unfortunately too many things didn't go well, so unfortunately I can't leave a good review. First we made a reservation and obviously it was planned. We had to wait over 10 minutes for "our" table (doesn't sound like much, but eight of us had one person with us who can no longer stand and that just wasn't nice). Then something went wrong with our order, we had to order again and therefore had to wait quite a long time for everything. To understand: ordered a table at 6 p.m., ordered food and drinks from 6:20 p.m. and finally had food at 7:45 p.m. Then we ate and before we were all finished, one of us cleared away our plates and everything, some of which hadn't been eaten properly, changed our drinks and pointed with his fingers at the plates he wanted. As I said, we were still eating and my friend had to keep sliding around because the clearer was standing right at his side. It was all so unpleasant, disturbing and not nice at all. We didn't feel comfortable. When you think about what money you're leaving behind... Two people at our table had a menu that included dessert. We then had to ask for it because it wasn't brought by itself even though everyone had long since finished the main course. The food was tasty and a waiter who also served us and was quite friendly justifies the two stars...

Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined significantly. The "duck ala Mandarin" was dry and the sauce was full of flavor enhancers. The staff is still very friendly... but that's about it. Update October 24, 2024: We went there again for dinner today and were very satisfied. My duck was crispy and tender. Really good!

The first impression was good until the food arrived. Despite the extensive menu, the ordered dishes were monotonous. I especially don't recommend it Dishes containing mushrooms. And when you come to a Chinese establishment they don’t even give you chopsticks - disappointment.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The shop is very well maintained and tidy. The food tastes very delicious. :-)

We made reservations online for dinner. The reservation was confirmed and we even received a reminder email an hour beforehand. When we stood in front of the restaurant, we didn't look bad as we stood in front of the closed door: closed today due to "technical problems". In the restaurant itself it looked more like an internal company party had been held the day before. At least a timely cancellation of the reservation would have been appropriate here.

For 10 euros, the Mandarin Duck was big and tasty plus it came with a free soup. The Gebackene Starter food was a disappointment. The staff taking a break before serving us (without telling in advance about it), the lack of photos on the menu, and the odd smell inside the restaurant should all be improved.

Not worth a single star. Of all the foods I have eaten since birth, there is one radish that has no taste.

An extraordinary place to eat. Very fresh ingredients and good service

The waitresses don't understand the dishes you're ordering, so instead you have to show them so you can order anything at all. Then come the Chinese conversations, which can only be described as loud, disturbing and shouting. Even after showing you the dish, the wrong food is brought to you. The appetizer "baked plate" is just a joke, is more shrimp chips like the actual appetizer. Conclusion: I would only recommend the restaurant if you can understand the conversations and join in, are deaf and mute or if you simply don't care about not being able to den in peace. No visit recommendation from me.

I can recommend duck. Not fried to death.
