Beautiful interior. Delicious and inexpensive. But it's a long wait.

It is a pleasure to have lunch in this restaurant, a variety in the menu, with an always pleasant attention.

Average food, service, clean bathroom

The service attitude is poor, the customers' requests are ignored, and the quality of the staff is low.

Not recommended at all. If you're looking for good Chinese food in Dresden, better luck elsewhere. I came with some friends for dinner, and the food that we ordered was average at best. We had their duck special, hot and sour soup, fish in chili oil, kung pao chicken and some veggies - everything was mediocre, and the rice was of a cheap quality. Food came really quickly and service was okay, but we were very disappointed because of one incident: One of us (she) was using the bathroom and a man 'accidentally' opened the door as it could not be locked properly. We suspected it was one of the staff as the person muttered something in Chinese, so we complained to the waitress about it. She shrugged it off and did not offer any help to investigate the matter. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed with both the meal and experience.

Really bad experiences. The waiter was breaking into female toilet without knocking on the door. Disgusting! The food was just on average. Highly not recommend! I went to have dinner with some foreign friends and used the restroom. The women's restroom is on the first floor. Because the lock handle is very tight, I thought it was locked after I twisted it. Suddenly, a man speaking Chinese came in. It's really disgusting 🤢I reported it to the waitress, but she didn't care about it. There was only one Chinese man at the front desk in the lobby. I couldn't see his face clearly at the time, so I wasn't sure whether it was the man at the front desk or the man in the kitchen. However, there were no other Chinese men in the dining hall. It's clearly written on the toilet door that the first floor is the women's restroom and the men's restroom is on the second floor! The waiter barging into the women's restroom is really disgusting. No one responded to my feedback, not even an apology. It's so disgusting🤢

Top authentic Chinese restaurant. ATTENTION: There are two cards. 1 x the typical “A3 chicken and sour card” and a Chinese card, which you then have to translate with a camera translator. We had various very good dishes, and I particularly liked the cabbage with bacon. 100% recommendation if you ask for the “right” card.

I loved the Place and they could take us even as walk in as it was during christmas time.

The Peking duck was super tasty. Highly recommended. But there was no atmosphere like that in a Chinese restaurant. It was very empty.

A little cold, but lovely food and fantastic service

We found this restaurant on the Google map and they did not disappoint us! The waiter welcomed us with a great smile and he is the only one running the show! He took out our and brings us hot tea which is great enjoyment in the very cold day when we visit the Dresden! All three dishes are delicious and very well seasoned, not too salty, just right! This is the place that you have to come when you visit the Cathedral and museum here for a change of dining option from the very heavy and salty German cuisine!

Waren gestern mit 6 Personen vor Ort, leider waren alle Gerichte sehr schlecht, das Fleisch war minderer Qualität die Saucen ohne Geschmack und der Reis verkocht, die „knusprige“ Ente war in der Sauce geladen und total wabbelig und hatte einige fett stellen.

Unfortunately negatively, long waiting times for drinks and food, even though there wasn't very much going on. No service to take further drink orders. You can be lucky to get at least one drink in the evening. Nothing special in terms of taste, communication difficult. Expected more. Unfortunately, host qualities and good service cannot be found here.

I’m a Malaysian Chinese who has traveled to Europe many times, and I enjoy trying Chinese restaurants in different cities and countries. Unfortunately, I can only rate this restaurant 2 stars overall. The curry beef was quite good, with tender meat, but the bean curd dish was terrible. Perhaps other dishes are better, but I didn’t try them. As for the service, I would give it just 1 star. The waitstaff were extremely disappointing. When I tried to ask one of the Chinese waitresses about the chef’s signature dishes, his response was simply, “I don’t know.” I then approached another waitress, but he was even worse—completely ignoring me and showing no interest at all. he had bad body odor. The only reason I came here was because I’d been eating Western food for several days and wanted some Asian cuisine, but sadly, this experience was very underwhelming. Would I return to this restaurant? The answer is no. I hope the owner reads this review and takes steps to improve both the service and the quality of the food.

Food wasn't very good, cold...and didn't taste that good.

Very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Wide range of food and drinks. Gladly again at any time. Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. also menus for 10 euros!!

It's a shame that the food was cold and the plates. Even though it was almost empty, the waiting time was also very long... between the time the sauce was brought and the main course, 5 minutes passed. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed 😞

Phew, unfortunately too many things didn't go well, so unfortunately I can't leave a good review. First we made a reservation and obviously it was planned. We had to wait over 10 minutes for "our" table (doesn't sound like much, but eight of us had one person with us who can no longer stand and that just wasn't nice). Then something went wrong with our order, we had to order again and therefore had to wait quite a long time for everything. To understand: ordered a table at 6 p.m., ordered food and drinks from 6:20 p.m. and finally had food at 7:45 p.m. Then we ate and before we were all finished, one of us cleared away our plates and everything, some of which hadn't been eaten properly, changed our drinks and pointed with his fingers at the plates he wanted. As I said, we were still eating and my friend had to keep sliding around because the clearer was standing right at his side. It was all so unpleasant, disturbing and not nice at all. We didn't feel comfortable. When you think about what money you're leaving behind... Two people at our table had a menu that included dessert. We then had to ask for it because it wasn't brought by itself even though everyone had long since finished the main course. The food was tasty and a waiter who also served us and was quite friendly justifies the two stars...

You get assigned a table quickly, but it took a long time to be served. Only when we asked did it go quickly.

Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined significantly. The "duck ala Mandarin" was dry and the sauce was full of flavor enhancers. The staff is still very friendly... but that's about it. Update October 24, 2024: We went there again for dinner today and were very satisfied. My duck was crispy and tender. Really good!

The first impression was good until the food arrived. Despite the extensive menu, the ordered dishes were monotonous. I especially don't recommend it Dishes containing mushrooms. And when you come to a Chinese establishment they don’t even give you chopsticks - disappointment.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend mit authentischer chinesischer Küche, unsere Wünsche wurden problemlos umgesetzt, xes war sehr angenehm und lecker. Preis-Leistung passte auf jeden Fall!

We had the lunch menu which was very tasty and plentiful. The restaurant was sparsely attended and the inventory could use some updating. But all in all, recommended

Very helpful and friendly staff. The shop is very well maintained and tidy. The food tastes very delicious. :-)

We made reservations online for dinner. The reservation was confirmed and we even received a reminder email an hour beforehand. When we stood in front of the restaurant, we didn't look bad as we stood in front of the closed door: closed today due to "technical problems". In the restaurant itself it looked more like an internal company party had been held the day before. At least a timely cancellation of the reservation would have been appropriate here.

For 10 euros, the Mandarin Duck was big and tasty plus it came with a free soup. The Gebackene Starter food was a disappointment. The staff taking a break before serving us (without telling in advance about it), the lack of photos on the menu, and the odd smell inside the restaurant should all be improved.

Not worth a single star. Of all the foods I have eaten since birth, there is one radish that has no taste.

An extraordinary place to eat. Very fresh ingredients and good service

The waitresses don't understand the dishes you're ordering, so instead you have to show them so you can order anything at all. Then come the Chinese conversations, which can only be described as loud, disturbing and shouting. Even after showing you the dish, the wrong food is brought to you. The appetizer "baked plate" is just a joke, is more shrimp chips like the actual appetizer. Conclusion: I would only recommend the restaurant if you can understand the conversations and join in, are deaf and mute or if you simply don't care about not being able to den in peace. No visit recommendation from me.

I think the authentic Chinese food restaurant in Dresden. Attention there is a German and a Chinese map. So if you miss something, just ask the friendly waitress.

I can recommend duck. Not fried to death.

Although the shop and the boss's appearance could suggest a “better” or more sophisticated restaurant, we didn't find it particularly special. Duck itself was okay, the sauce and fried rice tasted better at most other places in the area. A glass of Chardonnay that I ordered was also inedible, as if the bottle had been open for a long time. Had to let him go back, which I almost never do

Great traditional Chinese food!

I expected more. The restaurant was almost empty, but even the spring roll took 20 minutes. Not to mention the main course. The food tastes good, but the dishes are difficult to recognize and the photos in the menu confuse rather than help. Half a liter of Spezi 5.50 euros is common here but still outrageous. An employee attaches lamps to the parasol and then continues to serve without washing his hands. A pensioner with crutches sits in the Ecle, coughing up mucus from his lungs every minute. can happen sometimes, but after the 10th time the team might ask him to use the bathroom. All the guests were horrified. To pay with a card you have to go inside to the counter... in the 21st century this is just an indication of the owners' stinginess to buy proper equipment. Overall, not a terrible experience, but a questionable experience for the price.

We ordered crispy duck and chicken. The duck was tasteless, bland and dry, and was not crispy. The chicken was also so-so. I don't know why such a high rating on Google, maybe they cooked better in the past? Currently, I do not recommend it, there is no reason to return there. Prices quite high. The only positive thing is the friendly service.

We decided on the daily menu. You can get them between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for around €10. There was a very tasty starter soup each. For the main course we had 2 x chicken in curry sauce, 1x fried noodles with chicken strips and 1x crispy chicken in Mandarin sauce. Everyone enjoyed it very much and everyone was satisfied and full.

The food was very good. Each order comes with one plum wine per person. However, if you want to eat spicy food, you should say so clearly and clearly, otherwise you will probably get very mild dishes here (even if the dish says extra spicy). At the beginning everyone gets a plate and a fork + spoon and a kind of warming plate is placed in the middle for the different dishes. You can only get chopsticks here upon request. I don't know to what extent this had anything to do with our Bio-German appearance😅 In summary, the food was good, but unfortunately really not spicy. The tea is highly recommended.

We wanted to spend a nice evening here today. We wanted to take advantage of the warm weather to sit outside. 4 tables free but very dirty with leftover food. We chose an indoor table. Unfortunately no one came to bring us the card. After we got the menu and made our choice, we had to draw our attention to order. Communication was a little difficult but we were finally able to order. The starter didn't come at all. Main course mixed up and wrong ingredients. At one meal we waited in vain for the pasta we ordered. Half of it is now cold. The outdated warming plates were not turned on. Finally, two lollipops for the children as an apology. Very bad and a shame. Of course we talked to the waitress about it to give you the opportunity to do better in the future. Unfortunately, I didn't have the impression that this was received in any way. That's why this review on the internet. By the way, the tables outside were still dirty when we left. Although we had already criticized it at the beginning of our evening there. Maybe just an exception, but our lovely evening was unfortunately very marred.

Shredded Duck Noodles with Mustard Pickled Vegetables and Pickled Vegetables are super delicious and very affordable. I had a great time eating them.

Ate mushroom and chicken with rice. Delicious food. Top service and a good experience.

The food is horrifically disgusting.

We came ro Dresden to locate this Chinese restaurant. We ordered three dishes for us two and a pot of green tea. To our surprise, it's quite good and let us feel eating at home. Thank you!

Unfortunately, it's not like it used to be, as can be seen from the recessions. I used to be really happy to be back in the office in Dresden to eat the delicious fried noodles with chicken at Mandarin. However, this time I was very disappointed. First of all, I really just wanted to take the dish with me because I wanted to get back to the office quickly, but apparently I came during their lunch break and instead of helping me, they just passed it on and put me off. If you sit there with 4 employees, no one finds the time to finish something quickly and then you would just keep eating (you were the only customer). After I waited for a while, which was very unpleasant to watch while eating (employees sit outside in a large group and have lunch), the fried noodles were finally prepared. These were finished very quickly and I was able to get back to the office quickly. The noodles are no longer the same as they were a few months ago. The chicken wasn't fried but was flaky. All of the pasta had no roasted aroma and you won't find anything green like spring onions used to be. Everything is dripping in sauce and oil and tasteless. Well I guess the owner changed or the chef changed, but that was the last time I was there.

Service was great, very accommodating, but unfortunately the food wasn't good. Fried noodles tasted burnt and unfortunately the breading on the crispy baked chicken wasn't cooked through and ran out after being cut.

The restaurant was recommended to us and after having lunch there we honestly wonder why. After we were served a plum wine as an aperitif, we waited excitedly for our lunch menu. Before this arrived, we were served a Peking soup, a nice gesture, but disappointing. The iron aftertaste and gel-like consistency gave us a sense of what was to come. The Mandarin Duck and Sweet and Sour Chicken came with two huge bowls of rice (enough for a football team) and two pots of sauce, lovingly garnished with freeze-dried chives. The sweetest part of the chicken was the half can of pineapple in the sauce, the tastiest part of this feast was the shrimp chips. If you want to get your culinary fix, you should give the restaurant a wide berth.

Very authentic, delicious food. The restaurant is in high demand, so it's very busy and yet the service is fast.

We stayed at the hotel across the little plaza. We went there on March 29 Easter Friday at 6:30. Restaurant was packed understandably but when we wanted to walk away the boss came out said he could accommodate. He led us to a small table at a niche between 2 sections of the restaurant. We then waited almost 20 min to get table set up, another 15 min to have someone took orders. We ordered tea. It still have taken another 15 min to get the tea! How hard to get a hot water teapot dumped some tea leaves and bring them over with 2 teacups?! By then we have sat down almost an hour already yet we just got our tea! We should just get up and leave but we foolishly waited to get our foods which finally come after another 45 min and they were disasters. We ordered a scallion lamb, a seafood delights with celery, a pan fried dumpling. All very basic dishes. The lamb changed to beef, the scallion was sub with white onion. Worse yet, the onion was boiled NOT sautéed. They put it on hot tap pan to pretend it was fried but it wasn’t. Then the water poured the sauce over the dish then stir everything over to mix to create how a normally done tap pan dish would look like! Waiter told us in Chinese that the kitchen had only 2 burners! What?! A good size restaurant that can seat close to a 60-70 guests plus a section on the side apparently set up for tour groups only have 2 burners in the kitchen!? The so-called 3 seafood delights basically were all chewy frozen calamari slices. The rest were unidentified “seafoods”. The dish was very fishy. Only celery was edible essentially. The crown of this disaster had to be the pan fried dumpling. It came out completely burned to the char at the bottom. I mean, in black color char! The meat filling inside was Sooo salty that can jump your blood pressure by a few degrees. We only had a bite each and gave up. For this horrific meal we spent 48+ euro that included 1 or maybe be 2 euro of the “cover charge” per person. A very costly mistake for us, another successful money grab by the cheating restaurant. We would have a much happier meal at the Osteria a few steps away. They do very good pasta at reasonable 13 to 17 euro range. A shrimp pasta is only 16.50 euro. Nice size tasty shrimps with right sauce. Hugely better than this Chinese restaurant’s “seafood delights”. The latter used unfresh ingredients. For the rest 4 nights of our stay we ate dinner at the Osteria on 3 nights. Not disappointed each time plus at roughly 1/2 the cost!

We recently ate at Mandarin and were unfortunately a little disappointed after reading good reviews on Google! The starter was good, but the main course was unfortunately very disappointing. The duck crispy with sweet and sour sauce was unfortunately just a dry duck sour! No trace of sweet! The sauce was the worst sweet and sour sauce I've ever tasted, it was way too sour and you couldn't finish it! Furthermore, there were far too few vegetables under the dry duck and far too dry or partly watery, there was no taste! For 17€ for this dish per person, that's a disgrace. However, the service was good and the employees were friendly. You could still work on the ambience, especially outside on the terrace.

Fast and friendly service, good prices, but very indifferent food.

We had ordered Peking duck for 6 people, which was a real disaster for the price. For the details: 1. Starter soup was good. 2. You could eat duck skin with dumplings...the skin wasn't crispy at all and it was a shame when it was cold. 3. Duck meat with vegetables... scraps of meat with peppers and a few worn-out bean sprouts and so over-seasoned that you couldn't define what kind of meat it was supposed to be. It really seemed to me as if they had thrown all the leftover chilli in together and stirred it again in the pan. For dessert there was baked banana, which I didn't eat, but my colleagues thought it was good. About the ambience: Dirty dishes stood at 3 large tables for hours...chairs should be replaced (clear signs of wear) The staff was helpful and friendly, but it was also very busy. CONCLUSION: If you want to spend a lot of money for little quality, this is the right place

The food was delicious and we had booked a rotating table. I can only recommend it if you go there with the family and what surprises me is that there are very few people there (in the evening) even though the food is very tasty. The waiters are nice and the interior is very beautiful and customized.

We have had many lovely family gatherings here, fast service, delicious food and reasonable prices for everything.

Wir waren Mittags zum Essen und hatten beide ein Tagesmenü mit Suppe. Das Essen war sehr köstlich und der Kellner wirklich sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Wirklich empfehlenswert und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt

Ohne Vorbestellung Samstagabend Platz bekommen. Bedienung freundlich und schnell. Ambiente typisch asiatisch. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und die Gerichte sind lecker.

Das Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Das Essen war super lecker, ich hatte die Ente und Huhn in der Pfanne mit der pfeffersoße. Ich muss sagen das war eines meiner besten asiatischen Essen!

Schlimmste chinesische Restaurant in dem ich seit langen war.! Peking Suppe unter alles sau einfach nur schrecklich. Aber das schlimmste war mein Hauptgericht.. Gebackene Hähnchenbrust süß sauer. Die süß sauer Soße war verdünnter Ketchup mit etwas essig, Fleisch unter alles sau einfach einer der schlimmsten restaurant besuche seit langem.!!!!!! Nie wieder.!!!!

Authentische Chinesische Küche mit nettem Service und Ambiente

Endlich mal wieder ein Asiate wo auch Asiaten essen gehen. Das ist immer ein gutes Zeichen wenn Leute in einem Lokal essen wo ihre Wurzeln liegen.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht von unserer ehemaligen Lieblingsrestaurant, wir sind vom Zirkus Piccolino kommen schon über zwei Jahre her und lassen immer für mehrere Euros Geld da und sagen, stimmt so und heute zeige mir für drei kleine Schnaps 18 € bezahlen, obwohl wir ihn schon längere Zeit schon kennen

Sehr schön eingerichtet, der Service ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist gut aber nichts Neuerfundenes und auch nicht sehr authentisch. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und beruhigend mit einem schönen Blick auf den Vorplatz. WICHTIG: Große Frühlingsrolle beinhaltet Fleisch und auch sonst ist der Laden eher ungeeignet für Vegetarier.

Nothing out of the ordinary but it is okay and reasonably priced. Beware of the MSG if you are sensible to it. The menu clearly indicates dishes with MSG and it is almost everything.

Service was good. The staff was really nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, we ate from the daily menu. The food was so bad that I had to eat blanc rice. The rice was also low quality. The worst was the peanut sauce that did not look nor taste like one.
