Ich war an einem Dienstag im Drübbelken und hatte kurz das Gefühl, ich wäre versehentlich in einen Tiefsee-Dokumentarfilm geraten – nur ohne Kamera, dafür mit sehr realistischem Geruchserlebnis. Offenbar traf sich an dem Abend der legendäre „Fischdosen-Stammtisch“. Und sagen wir mal so: Die Dosen waren offen, die Stimmung auch – und der Duft… nun ja, der hat mich eher wie ein gestrandeter Wal am Strand abgeholt als wie ein Gast in einer Kneipe. Humor haben die Leute dort auf jeden Fall – das Konzept ist irgendwie absurd, aber auch unterhaltsam. Allerdings wäre ein kleines bisschen „Lüften wie ein frischer Nordseewind“ keine schlechte Idee gewesen. Fazit: Originell wie ein Fischmarkt um 6 Uhr morgens, gesellig wie ein Schwarm Heringe – aber olfaktorisch eher nichts für zart besaitete Landratten. Wir setzen die Segel und nahmen Kurs auf geruchsneutrale Gewässer.

Das Drüb ist ein absoluter Place to be in Recklinghausen. Urige Kneipe, Restaurant, Treffpunkt für jung und alt. Diverse Biere vom Fass, aufmerksamer Service, nettes Team. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder :)

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Die Livemusik war sehr gut.

Heute war ich nach langen Jahren mal wieder im Drübbelken mit 8 Leuten Essen. Es war sehr schön und das Essen sehr lecker 😋. Meine Pizza war gut belegt, Cross und geschmackvoll. Das Service Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preisleistungsverhältniss stimmt. Die Geräuschkulisse ist natürlich bei den hohen Räumlichkeiten sehr laut und es ist schwierig mit 8 Personen eine gute Verständigung zu bekommen, aber so ist das nun mal in alten historischen Gebäuden!

Das Drüb ist uns zu teuer geworden, dazu ein Aperol wo nur noch Eis und Wasser drin ist zu diesem Preis! Nein Danke, wir sind Raus.

Zurecht die Lieblingskneipe von vielen Recklinghäusern. Souveränes und sympathisches Personal und ein Chef, der seinen Laden liebt. Gute Veranstaltungen und in der Speisekarte ist an alle gedacht. Klare Empfehlung!

Leider waren die Schnitzel TK Ware letztes Jahr war es besser. Wir kommen leider nicht wieder. Personal top👍👍👍👍👍

Wir sind eher durch Zufall im Drübbelken gelandet und waren froh darüber ;-) Altanmutende Kneipe mit nostalgischem Baustil und Charms. Essen war TOP, Bedienung superaufmerksam und sehr nett. Kleines Manko, was hier aber die Qualität nicht schmälert. Wir wären fast nicht reingegangen, da auf der Karte außen kein Vegetarisches (veganes)Gericht angegeben war. Hatten dann draußen den Tipp von einem Gast bekommen das es hier gutes Essen, auch vegan und vegetarisch gibt. Solltet Ihr unbedingt draußen auf der Karte vermerken! Lg Jens

We had reserved a table for three at Drübbelken in Recklinghausen a week in advance – plenty of time to expect at least some kind of preparation. Instead, upon arrival, we were seated at a far too small table in the aisle, wedged between two sides, so uncomfortable that we felt like decorations, not guests. It would have been too small to eat in. When we asked, a bald employee told us we would be given a "larger table for eating." After waiting 45 minutes and receiving a lame "There's nothing we can do about it," we'd had enough and left. Simply disappointing – this is no way to treat guests who have made a reservation. Definitely not recommended.

Traditional pub. A few years ago, the food was good. Now the quality has declined significantly, which is a shame. The salmon and spinach pizza was bland. The dough was too thick. The schnitzel was deep-fried. There was far too little pepper sauce. The service was very friendly and good. We won't be eating here again.

Pub with a small vegan menu, staff extremely friendly and accommodating, would gladly come again.

I went to Drübbelken with my aunt before the Recklinghausen Lights festival, and we immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is really cozy, almost like a little retreat in the middle of the city. My meatloaf with egg and fried potatoes was delicious, and my aunt's pumpkin tarte flambée was a hit with both of us. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. It was a wonderful start to our evening. We'll definitely be back.

Great food (we had pepper schnitzel with fries and a side salad), good beer, and after a somewhat bumpy start, the service was friendly. Everything was really fresh and arrived piping hot. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is really lovely. Thank you!

Pub or restaurant? Yes. Solid food – perfect for anything less than a romantic dinner date.

We spontaneously visited Drübbelken and managed to snag a table. Although our time was limited as it was reserved, we had plenty of time. The service was extremely friendly and the food was good too. We were initially surprised that the restaurant was already quite busy from 5:15 pm, but after spending some time there, we understood! A meeting place for young and old. Good quality with excellent service.

Probably the best place in Recklinghausen to meet friends, drink a few beers, and have a good time. The service is always very attentive and well-coordinated.

Hello I was with you this evening (August 17, 2025) for the chanterelle mushroom menu. I already knew the delicious Kellerbier from asparagus season. The food today was amazing (chanterelle schnitzel)!!! Enough for me for two days and delicious. I'll definitely be back. ...and special thanks again to Laura for the attentive "senior care"!! A quaint pub. A lovely, trendy local with cult status. A wide selection of German dishes. A great atmosphere. The Drübbelken still cultivates German pub culture. It's cozy and welcoming.

We often meet here with our regulars. It's a very nice location with friendly staff and delicious beer. The food is also impeccable. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

Friendly, rustic pub somewhere in the Pott. Getting a table without any problems on Saturday evening, super friendly service and the food was there in less than 10 minutes. The kitchen is still four stars, but the ambience and the great service make up for it. Thanks Zoe 😊

Nice old place. A little too loud due to the large, high room. And also cold due to frequent opening of the entrance door. The curtain only provides limited relief and is certainly not worth mentioning in warmer temperatures. The menu is clear but there should be something for everyone.

We meet here once a month with the knitting girls. The service is super friendly and attentive. So far I can only comment on the delicious potatoes, which were good and crispy.

This place has cult status, great atmosphere, cozy, very interesting guests, great atmosphere, and delicious food and lovely, friendly service. Just go in.

Nice party location, The food, especially the salami pizza, was unfortunately below average. But drinks and service were great.

The red wine was ice cold. The vegan kale with smoked tofu is very good. But the portions could be larger for the price.

Top pizza, nice service, not too expensive

We were there for dinner for the second time now. We had various schnitzels with fries and salad. The food was very tasty, unfortunately there was a misunderstanding with my order, it wasn't the schnitzel that I actually wanted. This can happen quickly because the music was already loud and communication was therefore not that easy. Regardless, the waitresses were nice, the food and beer were delicious. It's a quaint restaurant and well attended. Arrive early or make a reservation.

Super pleasant with cult status and a lot of friendliness. I had mussels in a green pepper sauce, they were really good. I had the choice of pizza rolls... didn't want to stop.. with a cold beer and all was right with the world again.

The food is absolute bullshit, looks like gauze and tastes like gauze but you can wash the snot down with a few glasses of beer

Finally open again. Not quite the same as before, but still good. The staff used to dress in traditional costumes and serve authentic German cuisine. It's not as traditional now, but I was still impressed with the food and service.

After more than thirty years I'm back in Drübbelken. Great shop with very tasty food 😋, great beer 🍺 and super nice service (all the best in Austria). Unfortunately you can only give five stars 🌟🍲🍻🥩 for this great pub 👍

Now they had an espresso martini and that was an unexpected highlight. Really. Great foam, bitterness and sweet tastes. Scratches my all time favorite which is at the Ritz Carlton in Perth.

Went there spontaneously to meet a few people and have a beer. It's a quaint pub, it was very loud and crowded, so it was well attended. The selection of drinks and food looked good. The service was a bit slow, it took more than 30 minutes to order and receive the drinks. A second round also took a very long time. Basically, I would go there again if I were to visit Reklinghausen.

Were in the restaurant on the last day of Recklinghausen. The reservation for 6 p.m. went smoothly despite the high number of visitors. Also, kudos to the staff for the fast, friendly service. Had three different dishes, all of which were very tasty and of a filling size. Despite the hustle and bustle, we were able to chat.

We have already eaten at Drübbelken several times. Every time we are very satisfied. The service is top, very attentive and extremely friendly. The food is very tasty and the ambience is exceptional and the wall decoration changes regularly. We always feel welcome.

Pizza was well.......unfortunately I barely had time to eat because ordering took forever! Unfortunately, employees are too slow and inexperienced for larger companies. In addition, almost everyone is billed incorrectly! Coincidence???🤔

We felt very comfortable, the food tasted great and the service was very attentive. On a Friday evening it is very loud and conversations are difficult. But the rustic atmosphere makes up for it.

Cool location. A bit noisy early in the evening. But that comes around as time goes on. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was okay. That's how we wanted it. 😃

I enjoyed very tasty and vegetable-filled PENNE RATATOUILE. For little money. Top thing, nice pub atmosphere. A local of locals, it seems to me, with the tricky name DRÜBBELKEN. More about this on the homepage.

You have to like Drübbelken, for me the pub in Recklinghausen with the most charm, good down-to-earth food, fair prices, great old location with a wonderful high ceiling Update May 2024: Unfortunately, the food quality has really suffered due to the increase in prices. My schnitzel with fries was normal french fries quality, the salad made it a little better. But just under €30 for schnitzel and 3 small beers, phew. Unfortunately, the fish and chips on offer are also very simple. We'd love to come, but...

Please don't go, otherwise there will be no room for me. Super nice service, delicious, inexpensive food and overall a nice atmosphere, with live music every now and then.

Eating a bit bland. But probably the exception: otherwise always neat. Great atmosphere!!

Good beer of different types (Bit, Jever, Alt, Helles). Always freshly tapped and in a nice pub atmosphere. The menu is small but all dishes are good value for money! Service generally just as good. With live music you should come for the music - it's always quite loud.

Very nice, rustic pub, very comfortably furnished. There are always changing art pictures on the walls. Food top, service top! I have known the Drüb for over 35 years and for me it is Recklinghausen history.

Another restaurant that I know from the old days, I was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was. It was a Wednesday, early evening and we were lucky that because we arrived early we were able to eat at a table reserved for a later date. What can I say, there were three of us, everyone had something different and yet everyone enjoyed it. By the way, I've known the drübbelken from the old days since I started working at the Festspielhaus in 1972, what a change, certainly for the better.

Urige nette Location mit gewissen etwas....wir waren zum späten Essen und Trinken dort. Pizza...alles okay, sehr schmackhaft..alles OK. Preise ebenfalls okay...

Das letzte Mal war ich mit einem Freund hier, davor zum Klassentreffen. Das Drübbelken ist gemütlich. Speisen und Getränke schmackhaft. Ich bin gerne dort.

Freundlicher Service, Essen gut zum fairen Preis, Momentan sehr leckere Muscheln in 4 Varianten, mein Favorit mit Tomate. Wein 🍷 auch gut. Bin immer wieder gerne da.

Eine der Traditionsgastros in Recklinghausen. Leckere Küche, auch für Vegetarier. Ein Stern Abzug für die laute Kulisse bei gefülltem Raum. Da müsste der Akustik-Fachmann 'ran. Ansonsten,..... weiter so👍
