Actually -- no not actually -- I'm definitely used to better food here. My spiced meat was hot and also had cheese, but I could count the pieces of meat underneath - there were exactly 5. !!! Everything else was thin sauce --- and that for €8. I think - no more words are needed - more than sad!!!

Unfortunately this time I was very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. It was the celebration of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We had 3 smaller children with us and waited 1 1/2 hours for the main course. The waiter seemed stressed and sometimes unfriendly. The mashed potatoes for the fish fingers were made from powder. My salmon was dry and every meal was inappropriately decorated with pineapple and melon. The lamb was from a goat and therefore had this unpleasant taste. Unfortunately there was no time for dessert as everything took a long time. The only positive thing was really the ambience. A single room for and and the courtyard is beautifully decorated.

We were in Heidenau for a family reunion and twice here for dinner 👍 Despite many guests and orders, we always had a lovely evening here! The food was always fresh and delicious! The service is always very friendly and customer-oriented! A really good address!!!

Wir hatten für heute Mittag reserviert und wurden gefragt ob wir draußen oder drinnen sitzen möchten. Wir hatten uns für drin entschieden und das war wahrscheinlich die falsche Antwort. Wir sollten die Treppe hoch gehen und 2mal nach links in das Zimmer. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und hat ins auch zügig bedient. Ich hatte mir Bauernfrühsück bestellt, weil beim letzten Besuch hat es super geschmeckt nur diesmal war es ungenießbar, da zuviel Pfeffer dran war. Darauf hin bin ich runter, da ja keiner hoch kam um zu fragen ob es schmeckt und hatte es dem Restaurantleiter mitgeteilt und der war sichtlich sehr genervt. Er kam dann hoch und hatte meinen Teller mitgenommen und brachte mir in 5 min. ein neues Bauernfrühstück mit dem Kommentar, meine Frau hat ein neues gemacht. Das war ebenfalls nicht essbar. Das mit dem Essen das kann passieren , aber gleich 2mal hintereinander und nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung. Ich komme selber aus der Gastronomie, aber sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Zuvor hatte ich 2mal gefragt ob wir für unsere Tochter paar Stifte und Papier bekommen könnten, der Kellner meinte er kümmert sich dann bin runter und hatte nochmals höflich nachgefragt und da hat mich der Restaurantleiter mit einer Art und Weise zurecht gewiesen ,das er gerade zu tun hat und ich mich noch etwas Gedulden soll, ich war sprachlos. Vor allem wir er mit seinem Personal umgeht und wie er sie vor den Gästen schlecht gemacht hat. NIE WIEDER Nie wieder

I like old inns like these that have a flier like they used to. It feels like you are traveling back in time. The food is also so rustic and absolutely fits the ambience. We got there on our bikes and I have to say, it's worth leaving the Elbe cycle path because of this inn.

85th birthday, courteous service despite the heat.

Went there for mom's 85th birthday. Food was great and there was a lot of it. You can't find a secluded courtyard with a cozy atmosphere and good food everywhere. Highly recommended

Our travel agency Korfi Tours once again held a travel lecture with appropriate hospitality in this beautiful ambience, run with a lot of love and passion. From the planning of very special dishes - it was a Sinhalese evening - to the willingness to treat a fairly large number of guests (100 people) with a 4-course menu, to the perfect execution, everything was done to our complete satisfaction . Some 4 to 5 star hotels can't do that, and we have a lot of comparison options here. Our thanks go to the kitchen, the service staff and of course also to the "Chef of det Janze", Mr. Hammermann, who, together with his team, has been an absolutely reliable support for us and our events for many years. A slightly different restaurant. The courtyard is impressive. Historical and modern are harmoniously combined. The service is nice and friendly, the food is freshly prepared and delicious. It's great that there are still places like this.

The Drug Mill is a small, nice inn with a rustic atmosphere. The beer garden is beautifully decorated with numerous green plants and invites you to linger. The food is home-style, just like mom's. We have also celebrated several festivals here. These were always great. You feel very welcome. Clear recommendation for the mill.

If you're in the mood for undercooked pork fillet, lukewarm fried potatoes and soggy dark brown mushrooms, this is the place for you. And when almost full plates are cleared away without asking, you seem to know the problem. It's a shame because the atmosphere was very inviting.

It's a shame you can't give zero stars for the food. I don't know if I've ever eaten so badly.

Tastes quite good. My tagliatelle with the salmon were in the water a little too long - it wasn't quite my thing. The other dishes looked good though. But the prices are really a bit too high. The atmosphere is nice and the service staff is friendly.

This object has also survived history in Heidenau, difficult times in different eras. But there was always someone who, on the outside, at least understood how to maintain it despite the prevailing zeitgeist and changing architectural views. Now, today, when experienced and enjoyed as a cozy restaurant, one can only appreciate this in retrospect.

Schade, wir waren bis jetzt immer vom Essen in der Drogenmühle bis zum vergangenen Freitag total begeistert. Schnitzel war nicht frisch, sondern aus der Friteuse. Bratkartoffeln zur Sülze schwammen im Fett. Meiner Mutter ging es den restlichen Tag sehr schlecht.

Kann ich nicht empfehlen. War als Kind Mal mit mein Eltern (18 Jahre her) da gab es Sülze mit Zaziki... Nach all den Jahren wollten wir es heute Abend Mal mit Freunden wieder versuchen. Schnitzel war soooo fettig!!! Das hat nur nach fett geschmeckt. Hollandaise war diese Tommy soße (schmeckt leider mir persönlich auch gar nicht) gemüse war roh! (Kalt innen) Pommes waren gut. dafür 19 €? Nein! Ich musste es zurück geben. Nach fast einer Std Wartezeit wieder hungrig zu gehen ist mehr als nur ärgerlich :( Bauernfrühstück mit Curry und ohne Gewürzgurken kam auch nicht gut bei meinen Freundinnen an. Geflügelleber war gut. leider werde ich kein 3tes Mal kommen. Schade!

We found a spot outside in the beer garden. The food came quickly and tasted very good. Price/performance is also great, we paid 46 euros for 2 main courses, 2 starters and 2 large drinks 👍🏼 We'd love to come back.

As always, we were there for the fourth time at Pentecost. The food is tasty, the staff is very friendly (and also the boss) I can't understand the negative reviews. Only the cat didn't want my fried potato 😀 .

It was great there, I could imagine that it would be very nice outside in the summer. Because there is a very beautiful (probably old) vine growing all over the yard. Food, service, prices and ambience are very good, we will definitely go there again on our next visit to Dresden.

We celebrated a wonderful 60th birthday in one of the drug mill's historic party rooms. The arrangements for preparation (food selection, program with our own DJ and show act) and the resulting event went smoothly. Our wishes were creatively addressed (based on our party theme “Caribbean”), be it at the drinks bar in the courtyard or at the buffet. The buffet was coordinated with the boss and implemented wonderfully - everyone enjoyed it! In addition, the owner personally gave a cultural introduction, which was very interesting and humorous. He then introduced the buffet and opened it. A very friendly, attentive waitress accompanied us the whole evening, so that everyone was completely happy. All in all, it was a really successful evening that we will look back on fondly... and it certainly won't be our last visit/celebration either :) A big thank you to the entire drug mill team! There's not much to write about. Super friendly very nice delicious An absolute must on every holiday. Unfortunately, we live far too far away to eat here several times a year. Not a crowded menu. A feel-good place with very nice and friendly service.

A very cozy place. The food was very tasty and the service was very good. The waiter was friendly and also very funny. You immediately felt very comfortable. The price-performance ratio was right and if we didn't live so far away we would come back very quickly. It's definitely worth a trip.

Went to “our” drug mill again today with people we knew for a long time. Despite being busy, friendly hospitality and delicious food, fresh and tasty. It's nice that there is still a restaurant like this in Heidenau. Good luck to the drug mill team!

A very nicely restored yard. However, I have the impression that the innkeepers don't seem to be afraid of coming into contact with right-wing parties and associations. They can always hold events there. Addition to the drug mill's answer: Why should facts be character assassination? Others can know who meets in their bar. This may also help with local searches and ratings. For years, the JLO (Young Country Team East Prussia, now East Germany) was able to meet in the drug mill and hold information events. The same is true with the AfD. This currently meets regularly in their restaurant. And you don't want to know that or have known that? But it's nice when you can invoke freedom of expression, when you are free of opinion, give space to the enemies of freedom and self-determination and then confuse that with neutrality. The main thing is that the money is right. 2024: The Free Saxons now also come and go and can offer events in the drug mill. Shame yourself!

We've eaten here several times, for dance workshops, Christmas parties... very competent and fast service, great location, great events! Can only be recommended.

Food is always fresh and seasonal. Highly recommended is “susi’s brawn” and “goat cheese bread”. We are always warmly welcomed. Price performance is unbeatable. Best restaurant in the area.

Dear drug mill team in Heidenau On Sunday, February 18th, 2024, I celebrated my 60th birthday with my family. I had booked a table for this. I had to increase the number of my guests twice, but this was received very kindly. Ultimately we were 18 guests. Your team prepared a beautiful table in the room to the right of the courtyard. As we sat, a young, nice employee was concerned about our well-being. The orders came quickly and the food we ordered, a la carte, also came quickly. After we were rudely brushed off by the waitress, we were about to leave. Luckily we didn't. The food was outstanding and the young man was able to score a few points with his style. But the food and the ambience were really great!

Here you can eat well and celebrate with friends. It's all straightforward.

Tolle Gaststätte mit gutem Essen.

Liebes Team, ich hab ne Weile überlegt ob ich schreibe, aber es ist doch wichtig diesmal für mich. Ich, wir gehen öfters zu ihnen essen... Wir waren immer zufrieden, allein, zum Elternrat und zu vielen Feiern. Das Ambiente auch wundervoll. Vorige Woche war ich mit meinem Vati, ich wollte uns was Gutes tun, nach einem schweren Schicksalsschlag..... Wir freuten uns auf unsere gebratene Leber, ist bei ihnen immer traumhaft lecker. Wir sagten bei der Bestellung "bitte wieder kross die Leber " Die Bestellung kam...... Bedienung war schnell weg. Unter ziemlich heller Zwiebel war die Leber, sehr hell...nur ein laar braune Ecken...... es lies sich leider lange niemand sehen (Gastraum war auch leer). Innen war Leber nicht durch, zähe Sehnen leider auch ein kleines Stück gallelastig....... Als Bedienung kam bemängelten wir, es kam nicht wirklich eine Reaktion, nur wollen sie einen Kaffee, nein ich trinke keinen. Die Bedingung kam aus Küche und meinte der Koch hat st gekostet, nichts bitter...... Glaub ich schon, wäre ja schlimm, wenn die ganze Leber bitter wäre..... Kartoffelpüree war gut. Leider kam sonst nichts.... Keine Entschuldigung, kein Rabatt........ Nichts......... Einfach traurig und regt zum nachdenken an, und das an so einem Tag...... Und bitte die Worcestersauce von 2023 vom Tisch ersetzen. Trotzdem wünsche ich ihnen weiter viele Gäste..... Da diese schöne Gaststätte erhalten bleiben soll, auch wertvoll für die ziehenden Zimmermänner.

Ein kleines uriges Restaurant. Es gibt aber mehrere Räume in denen man feiern kann. Ich war im Raum im EG, dort ist es klein und gemütlich. Das Personal war freundlich, trotz Stress.

Wir waren heute zum ersten mal in der Drogenschänke Abendessen. Es ist ein sehr gemütliches wärmendes Ambiente mit sehr netten Personal. Essen war sehr lecker, nett angerichtet und die Ente der absolute Knaller. Ein wirklich schöner Abend in toller Umgebung. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder .

Wir haben gestern Abend (08.01.) einen Geburtstag gefeiert und hatten den besten Kellner. Ein ganz großes Lob an den jungen Herren (dessen Namen wir leider nicht wissen), der den Service offenbar im Alleingang geschmissen hat, und das nicht nur in der Gaststube, sondern auch noch bei einem Vortrag. Wir hatten zwar dadurch längere Wartezeiten, aber mit seiner freundlichen, kompetenten und witzigen Art, hat er das komplett wettgemacht. Wir hoffen das Lob wird weitergeleitet.

Sehr leckeres Essen und schmackhafte Cocktails. Eine große Tee und Hauptspeisenwahl gibt es auch. Ich hatte das Schnitzel mit Pommes, Blumenkohl und Sauce Hollandaise. Das Schnitzel war ein wenig ölig, wodurch ich den Rest der Hollandaise nicht aß. Es gibt viele kostenfreie Parkplätze direkt gegenüber und die Servicekraft wahr sehr nett. Das Essen kam echt schnell, aber es war auch nicht sehr viel los. Die Musik wahr perfekt. Passende Lautstärke als Hintergrundmusik und auch bei der Auswahl war für jeden was Dabei. Die Preise sind, wie durch die erhöhte Mehrwertsteuer zu erwarten, ein wenig höher als auf den Bildern hier angezeigt, aber trotzdem noch im Rahmen. Dieses Restaurant sieht mich auf jeden Fall wieder!
