Service was very friendly and helpful. The food was actually good. But I had some difficulty cutting my schnitzel, and it wasn't the knife's fault. The salad was good. The fries were very good. The burger unfortunately didn't live up to the quality of the fries. We'll definitely be back, but we wouldn't order the schnitzel or the burger again.

It's a shame, a real shame, that we can only give 15 stars here. We held our wedding reception on August 8, 2025. With 60 people, we were limited by space. Nevertheless, there was plenty of room for all 60 people, even though the DJ had a much tighter schedule! Still, not a star deducted! There was plenty of room to dance. The food was exactly as agreed, down to the last detail. The service (thanks to Doreen and Marice) was perfect! The manager and his wife were perfect, the evening was perfect. And now for the money. We stayed well under the estimated price! Conclusion: We would definitely go back! Many thanks to the entire team, including those working behind the scenes. 👍👍👍👍👍

April 25: Rustic, cozy restaurant. I had venison with spaetzle, which was appealing with some minor flaws. Good value for money👍 Service could be more attentive. July 25: I had oven-roasted lamb with green beans, which was very appealing. The salad didn't exactly fit the plate. Good service and value for money👍 I'll be visiting this restaurant again!

Great atmosphere, you can feel at home there. The wait for food was also perfectly acceptable. There are guinea pigs to admire at the entrance. The food, however, wasn't particularly special...the schnitzel was rather tough and greasy, and the "farmer's breakfast" with zucchini and peppers was rather habit-forming. The portion sizes were perfectly acceptable.

Once again, Google directed us to a great restaurant. The Drogenmühle was busy, but we found two spots in the quaint courtyard. There was also live music to accompany our meal. The service was super friendly, and we had a delicious meal. So, a really good recommendation.

The food was only half as tasty, small portions, e.g. lachs with pasta and spinach costs €20, but the atmosphere is great!!!

We spontaneously decided to eat here and have absolutely no regrets. The food was first-class, excellent, and absolutely delicious. We've rarely eaten so well and would love to come back. By the way, the staff is also very friendly and funny. So if you want to eat truly good, home-style food, this is the place for you.

At the Drogenmühle, you can enjoy truly excellent food in a rustic atmosphere. The portions are generous, and the food is delicious and freshly cooked. Even without a reservation, you'll easily find a seat. The service staff are very friendly and attentive. There's free parking, and access is largely wheelchair accessible. Rooms can be booked for private events. A few years ago, we had a wonderful celebration for my aunt's wedding here. Highly recommended!

Terrible experience. Food came one after the other (there were 5 of us). One dish had the wrong side dish (listening helps). All knives are blunt. Toilets dirty. Food below average. Staff doesn't seem trained. Chairs uncomfortable. Overall: not recommended. Regarding feedback from the owner: Check your sentence structure. What exactly do you want to communicate? And no, I'm not 2 people. You may not think it's possible, but there are actually more people who don't feel comfortable with you. And by deleting it, you apparently maintain the apparently only good rating status.

Ich war im April 2025 zur Jugendweihe meines Sohnes dort und auch gleich noch ein zweites Mal mit Freunden, weil es uns so gefallen hat. Incredibly unprofessional. 5 people ordered food. A starter was forgotten. Came to memory. One main course was wrong. Was corrected with the result that we had to eat separately. Drink requests were only asked before we set off. Knives could hardly cut asparagus and schnitzel. The dish “rosemary potatoes with bacon beans and lamb” was a complete disaster. The beans were not placed on the plate but rather slapped onto the plate like with a ladle in the canteen. Including liquid. The lamb was not presented on the plate in slices or pieces, but in tattered leftover parts. Rosemary potatoes, meat and beans lay on top and underneath each other. The rosemary potatoes had never seen rosemary and - worst of all - the potatoes and a mini salad garnish were in the sauce. Disgusting. We immediately drew attention to the fact. A man in a band shirt and three-quarter length trousers appeared to be in charge. He was obviously not experienced. Not even when addressing customers. He leaned on the back of the free chair and immediately objected. “This is our salad garnish.” Oh no, we see and know that too - but you don't put them in warm sauce! The meat is released for the customer. Yes, you write that down on the card and even if it's detached, it doesn't lie on your plate like a pile of leftovers. Rosemary potatoes are also not served in sauce. The whole dish was a disaster and truly inedible. We've never experienced anything like this before. Since there was no answer and he seemed very overwhelmed, the gentleman was asked to give the feedback to the kitchen. Then the service person came and asked if it (obviously) didn't taste good. We explained to her that the colleague knew. Then came the bill including the lamb dish. We asked if they were serious about charging for this dish. Yes, the boss said so. The lady couldn't help it. She had neither the style nor the sovereignty to come to the table herself. She shirked instead of seeking a conversation (not an opinionated discussion, like the three-quarter length trouser wearer) with the customer. Zero professionalism and even less customer focus. It is more of a pub than a pub or inn. Every kebab shop does lamb better. Criticism is an opportunity to improve, but here this opportunity is not taken.

The restaurant has a really rustic and cozy atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the stay pleasant. Unfortunately, there were a few points that marred the dining experience. The children's burger was cold, and both the meat and the buns were quite hard. In addition, the beef goulash contained a lot of fat, which affected the taste. The large peppercorns in there were also rather annoying as they were very intense when biting on them.

A very cozy, quaint little taproom. The food was very good. The prices are okay. Something for every budget. The portions are normal size and well prepared. As a drink I ordered a tea for €2. It was a very large glass with loose tea in a practical “tea strainer” and there was enough rock sugar and a lemon wedge to squeeze on the small tray. I thought it was very good that the tea wasn't brewed with a plain tea bag. Top.

The drug mill is nestled in an ancient farm. The atmosphere is rustic and therefore cozy. A small Guest room invites you to linger. However, there is always a place as a few rooms can still be made accessible to the guest. Nice service with no frills. Good home cooking at a moderate price. On the menu for every palate something ........ please keep it up ..... 👍❤️

We were invited to a golden wedding anniversary celebration and were very impressed by this great atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the staff was very quick and friendly. Everything also went well with the wedding cake, which we organized in advance and was then presented really well. All in all, a well-rounded affair. We'd love to come back.

If you want to experience classic Saxon cuisine in a cozy atmosphere in Heidenau, you can't avoid the drug mill. In addition to the very good cuisine, the restaurant also offers numerous events with live music and lectures. Always great, my favorite pub.

The first impression is very nice, we came into the restaurant, waited for the waitress, who was visibly shocked that someone was coming to eat at 7 p.m. She first has to ask the boss if we can sit down, after all, there are New Year's Eve preparations to be made and she would sometimes run out of steam... just keep the door closed if you have too much to do. We are now very disappointed with the Vietnamese restaurant, here they are happy to have nice guests…

You can sit here comfortably and enjoy the chef's delicious dishes. A good menu with selected good dishes. There are different rooms, and if you book in advance you can get a space here. It is possible spontaneously, but it is rather difficult to get a place. Top host and highly recommended.

Actually -- no not actually -- I'm definitely used to better food here. My spiced meat was hot and also had cheese, but I could count the pieces of meat underneath - there were exactly 5. !!! Everything else was thin sauce --- and for €8. I think -- no more words are needed -- more than sad!!!

Unfortunately this time I was very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. It was the celebration of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We had 3 smaller children with us and waited 1 1/2 hours for the main course. The waiter seemed stressed and sometimes unfriendly. The mashed potatoes for the fish fingers were made from powder. My salmon was dry and every meal was inappropriately decorated with pineapple and melon. The lamb was from a goat and therefore had this unpleasant taste. Unfortunately there was no time for dessert as everything took a long time. The only positive thing was really the ambience. A single room for and and the courtyard is beautifully decorated.

We were in Heidenau for a family reunion and twice here for dinner 👍 Despite many guests and orders, we always had a lovely evening here! The food was always fresh and delicious! The service is always very friendly and customer-oriented! A really good address!!!

Wir hatten für heute Mittag reserviert und wurden gefragt ob wir draußen oder drinnen sitzen möchten. Wir hatten uns für drin entschieden und das war wahrscheinlich die falsche Antwort. Wir sollten die Treppe hoch gehen und 2mal nach links in das Zimmer. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und hat ins auch zügig bedient. Ich hatte mir Bauernfrühsück bestellt, weil beim letzten Besuch hat es super geschmeckt nur diesmal war es ungenießbar, da zuviel Pfeffer dran war. Darauf hin bin ich runter, da ja keiner hoch kam um zu fragen ob es schmeckt und hatte es dem Restaurantleiter mitgeteilt und der war sichtlich sehr genervt. Er kam dann hoch und hatte meinen Teller mitgenommen und brachte mir in 5 min. ein neues Bauernfrühstück mit dem Kommentar, meine Frau hat ein neues gemacht. Das war ebenfalls nicht essbar. Das mit dem Essen das kann passieren , aber gleich 2mal hintereinander und nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung. Ich komme selber aus der Gastronomie, aber sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Zuvor hatte ich 2mal gefragt ob wir für unsere Tochter paar Stifte und Papier bekommen könnten, der Kellner meinte er kümmert sich dann bin runter und hatte nochmals höflich nachgefragt und da hat mich der Restaurantleiter mit einer Art und Weise zurecht gewiesen ,das er gerade zu tun hat und ich mich noch etwas Gedulden soll, ich war sprachlos. Vor allem wir er mit seinem Personal umgeht und wie er sie vor den Gästen schlecht gemacht hat. NIE WIEDER Nie wieder

I like old inns like these that have a flier like they used to. It feels like you are traveling back in time. The food is also so rustic and absolutely fits the ambience. We got there on our bikes and I have to say, it's worth leaving the Elbe cycle path because of this inn.
