DO's Vietnam Street Food in Stuttgart

The only male cashier is a racist. He smiled to white guests and said thanks. But when I ordered my food, seemed like I owned him money, only showed his poker face and even picked up a call while I was speaking. When white guests left, he said goodbye and thanks. But when I asked him where the chopsticks are, he said nothing but only pointed the chopstick box with his cold face. Won’t go there again as an Asian person, even though he’s also Asian.

I had a Pho with beef and chicken. The brew was very fresh and lovely in taste. Meals in different sizes available. Atmosphere is uncomplicated. Paying only in cash!! Toilets very clean. Staff very friendly.

Snack bar, quality is okay. It was much better before the coronavirus pandemic (e.g., no sweet rice).

(On photo - Medium portions of Pho with beef, and beef&chicken) It’s a small, family-owned restaurant, with nice authentic kitchen and welcoming, uncomplicated atmosphere. The food is tasty and qualitative. Prices are affordable, and in my opinion - price-quality is great! Perfect place to grab a lunch or dinner on the way to/from work, sit down with friends. I especially appreciate the option for “medium” Pho portion size. Perfect for 80% hunger :) Wish the restaurant many years of prosperity!

🥰 Do's gets 5 stars from me, no question! I still remember the first time I went there, around 2013/14 with a dear friend. We happened to be walking past the restaurant and were curious. 🍜 I've been coming back ever since. The menu is rather small, but varied. I usually get pho or summer rolls. I can also recommend the chicken skewers! The ingredients (meat or vegetarian) can be swapped for almost every dish. You order and pay at the cash register, choose a seat, and then your food is brought to you. The service was and is always friendly, the preparation is quick, and the food is fresh. 💶 Do's is not a restaurant, but a snack bar. There are about 10 tables and a few seats on the street in front of the restaurant. Depending on traffic and the weather, it's nicer inside. I think the prices are reasonable for the dishes. There's always a cheaper daily special. Unfortunately—my biggest criticism—you can't pay by card. 🚲 By car, you can park in the Gerber underground parking garage, for example, and it's easily accessible by public transport. The entrance is somewhat hidden between a clothing store and a kiosk near Globetrotter. I think Do's is unique in Stuttgart and hope it stays open for a long time!

We paid for our meal with a restaurant voucher, which requires a difference to be paid at the end. Unfortunately, the owner had a hard time calculating the correct remaining amount, which resulted in a higher price for us. After repeatedly calculating, the owner became even more unfriendly, but finally relented on my behalf (my colleague had to pay a higher price). As a thank you, our order was not fulfilled. All the guests after us were served and received the same dish before us. After about 25 minutes of our precious lunch break had been wasted at this location, we called it quits and demanded our money. That's not how you treat your guests, even if we had miscalculated, which wasn't the case – it's simply rude and tasteless. This place is permanently removed from our restaurant list. We supported this kind of thing even during the pandemic...

The owner could really be friendly. The food is okay, but a beef dish has very few pieces of meat. My neighbor didn't like it either. It could be better.

Very nice and relaxed owner. Always in a good mood and up for a laugh. The food always tastes good, no matter what we order. Our favorites are the spring rolls and the pho.

There was a hair in my food. I got a new one, and there were two hairs in it. I lost my appetite and told them they didn't need to give me a third one. It was a good thing they made me pay upfront, because they weren't willing to accommodate me.

Delicious, fresh, and affordable. The glass noodle salad is great. Edit: Unfortunately, I had the worst Asian experience ever when I picked it up a day later and ordered items 102, 62, and 50. The sauces all tasted watery, like they were made for seniors or children. Nothing spicy. With a lot of fish sauce on top, it was okay, but you won't see me again.

I ordered the green curry and the pho chay. Both were really bad. The green curry was close to drinking water, could only taste the diluted coconut milk. Zero creaminess and zero taste/scent of basil/ herbs, unlike usual green curry. The champignons were half-cooked too Seriously overpriced for this quality of food. Regretting for spending 20+ euros here, never coming again!

I spontaneously went to eat here. My choice was on Pho with chicken. It was super tasty and even though it was busy, the food came in just a few minutes. With today's weather, of course you like to sit outside. Unfortunately it was a bit stuffy inside! Still highly recommended 👌🏼

I've been to this store many times. However, the old male shopkeeper always smiles and talks to Europeans regardless of gender and is friendly to them, but when I look like an Asian woman he doesn't make eye contact and doesn't greet me as if I don't exist. I feel like I am being racially discriminated against. How sad that this old male shop owner discriminates against other Asians even though he looks like an Asian himself. If you do not want to be racially discriminated against, please do not go to this store.

Was really craving Vietnamese after eating German food for a week and this place really didn’t disappoint. The depth of flavor was so good. Can’t say I was expecting awesome Vietnamese food a short walk from our Airbnb but I was pleasantly surprised. Cash only. Small but you can eat in. Highly recommend.

Average food, the Pho Bo is over peppered. Order at the counter, so “half self-service”, but you don’t notice that in the price. “Practical” and furnished with little love, therefore mediocre ambience.

We were looking forward to a delicious meal. There was also a free table outside that we wanted to grab immediately. The boss sat at the entrance and greeted us with the words: “It’s that way to the kebab shop.” Food okay. A pity.

No card payment possible 👎🏽 The reason: “I then have to pay fees”. At a price of €9.50 for food, the cost of goods is less than €3 and the fee of 1.5% is around €0.14. Let it be €0.20 in total with acquisition costs etc. The default rate of card payments, which will be relatively high, means the store will make a lot more loss if it doesn't accept card payments. Without foresight and only the cash turnover in mind, it is a loss-making business. And unfriendly at that.

Very tasty food for anyone who would like to enjoy Asian and fresh food. Very friendly service and a good selection of food and drinks. Served on plates or in bowls, there are a few variations of salads and pho. Summer rolls with peppermint and coriander are homemade and really, really good. Definitely worth a visit. We will go again. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. A chilled aloe vera drink goes well with it for a street food feeling on the seats along the street.

DO's Vietnam Street Food is not real street food, not a restaurant and not a snack bar. But somehow a mix of everything. Food & drinks must be ordered at the front of the counter. Once these are prepared, the food is brought to the seat. You take the drinks with you in the form of a small bottle. The service is nice. I had the red curry with crispy duck. The taste was okay, but I had imagined it to be more authentic. It is very much adapted to German taste. In summary, one can say that the price-performance ratio here is good.

I ate at DO's Vietnam Street Food every now and then during breaks. The food was delicious. I used to buy summer rolls to take home as a snack. They have always been very fresh and tasty. The homemade Hoi Sin sauce with peanuts tasted great with it. I can only recommend. The Thai soup Tom Kha Gai with chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, coconut milk, gaganga and lemongrass with a citrus flavor also inspired me personally when cooking. The ambience fits perfectly with the street food charm. Value for money is right. Thank you very much. Conclusion: If you want to eat Asian food quickly, you are well served here.

We got there around 4:30 p.m. Late. But it fit. Not that busy, hungry people arrived little by little. Very tasty, the daily meal can be varied with or without meat or shrimp. The duck is good but sometimes the crust is too hard. You can choose something at any time or don't say that, please.

On Tübinger Straße for years and always well attended, that says it all. Personally, I like the mild, thin curries without glutamate and binding agents. My favorite, however, is the lukewarm rice noodle salad, incredibly good. The ambience has a snack character, but fair prices for the drinks too.

The atmosphere was cozy and nice, the food looks nice but is nothing special. We have eaten in many Vietnamese and Asian restaurants so in comparison the food is okay, the sauce was more than water and not a real sauce so the taste is not too strong. We ordered shrimp and duck with rice so duck was okay but also very little sauce, shrimp is very small and very little. So there was room for improvement. Service is okay, they are funny with customers, not too respectful but they were still nice to us

Hearty meals served here. Being vegetarians, we enjoy eating here as we have many vegetarian options. Hot meals with a lot of vegetables served, what more do we need in cold winters. It's already been on our go-to restaurants when we are in Stuttgart ❤️❤️

Bin hier oft. Frisches und authentisches Essenserlebnis. Schöne Auswahl aus klassischen Gerichten die einfach immer schmecken. Man kann hier auch für wenig Geld absolut satt werden. Freundliches Personal. Das Ambiente ist einfach aber passt perfekt zum Streetfood Charm. Immerwieder gerne :)

Ziemlich sicher mit die beste Chicken Phở, die man in Stuttgart bekommen kann - wahrscheinlich DIE beste. Dasselbe gilt für die Sommerrollen und definitiv für die Banh Baos (so es welche gibt). Auch die Banh Mi sind gut und vor allem das vegane sogar sehr (weil mit veganer Paté was die anderen veganen Banh Mi meines Wissens nach selten haben) - leider ist das Brot selbst nichts Besonderes, sonst wäre es das Beste Banh Mi in Stuttgart. Dafür ist es groß, zu einem sehr guten Preis. Es ist meist sehr viel los, deswegen klappts mit dem Sitzplatz nicht immer, außer ist's zumindest im Sommer drinnen ziemlich warm und eng. Aber das ist ja irgendwie auch recht authentisch vietnamesisch ;) Bedienung/Besitzer sind nett und das Essen ist in der Regel fix fertig. Definitiv mein liebstes vietnamesisches Restaurant in Stuttgart. P.S. Das Bun/Com Ga darf man auch nicht vergessen - sehr gut!

Essen war sehr lecker und frisch, Personal freundlich. Das Ambiente könnte etwas schöner sein, aber passt zum Konzept Streetfood. Kommen gerne wieder.
