We've eaten here twice. Everything was very good and the service was friendly. Good value for money. 👌🏻 We'll be back.

A beautiful historic inn with super friendly service and excellent food. You should definitely reserve a table in advance, as it's a very popular restaurant. The outdoor seating in the beautifully landscaped courtyard in front of the restaurant is heated (per table) during the cooler months, which we think is a really great idea. The overall ambiance is very harmonious, and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome.

Great ambience - especially in summer in the beautiful historic courtyard. But also very cozy inside in winter. The staff very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastically tasty and always beautifully presented. Price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. If you want to be on the safe side, please pre-order, even during the week! We really enjoy coming to the Dornspachhaus.

Incredibly beautiful restaurant, great ambience, nice attentive team and the food is all homemade using high-class cuisine and seasoned to perfection. A visit that makes you forget everyday life. We always enjoy coming back. Particularly rare in the world of gastronomy...still consistently great after a year!!!

Very nice inn. We were there at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and there was only room for four outside. So to be on the safe side, you should make a reservation! The food was very good. The goulash in particular was interestingly seasoned. Various dishes from the area (Czech Republic and Poland) were offered. The house has an interesting history. There was Zittau beer, which was also very tasty. Recommended!! Prices are quite good for such a quaint inn. And there is a season ticket. In one photo you can see the asparagus scrambled eggs! There are two vegetarian dishes and one or two extra on the seasonal menu. :)

Ich kann das Dornsprachhaus ohne Abzüge absolut empfehlen. Normal bin ich zu faul Bewertungen zu schreiben ;-) aber hier mache ich das. Super Preis-Leistung und eine sehr schneller und netter Service auch ohne Tischbestellung. Wir haben im herrlich, urigen Innenhof gemütlich unterm Heizpilz gesessen. Ich hatte das gefüllte Bauernbrot und würde das allen empfehlen, die gern deftig essen und einen guten Hunger mitbringen. Schon lang nicht mehr in einem so guten Restaurant gewesen. Hier hat alles gepasst.

I can only recommend this restaurant! However, it is better to reserve a table, as the crowds are large even during the week. The ambience is dignified, a mix of old and new: I like it. The food was simply delicious 😋. The service is very friendly and attentive. Gladly again.

Went there last night with our dog and received a very friendly welcome. Very quaint, great restaurant, the food was super tasty at an unbeatable price. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

The service was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was excellent, you immediately felt at home. The selection of dishes on offer was great. There is really a coherent concept here. The food itself was very good, no finished products. The only criticism is the long waiting time. However, I was only there once and you don't know what was going on that day. In short: thank you very much and we will be back.

Very good and inexpensive guesthouse in the center of Zittau. Through the small tunnel you come directly into the cozy inner courtyard, where you look forward to the warm days. The rustic ambience with vaulted character fits perfectly. Courteous, polite service staff and great regional and Bohemian cuisine make you want to visit again. Unfortunately, there are only a few restaurants left with such a good overall package.

Winteröffnungszeiten von 11:00 bis 14:00 ! Wir waren um 13:25 vor Ort und wurden harsch abgewiesen -- " wir sind zu spät, um zu essen " . Wir sind zurück in unsere Ferienwohnung und ich habe was leckers gekocht . Die Gastronomie soll pleite gehen, wenn sie zu faul ist .Ich habe kein Mitleid. Ich brauche nun keine Gastronomie mehr . Bei Corona haben wir auch " überlebt " ohne Kneipen.

Everything perfect Food was very, very tasty. Everything from our own production. (2023) We were back at the Dornspachhaus after two years. What can I say, the food was very tasty again. (2025) We will definitely come back to Zittau to the Dornspachhaus.

A real insider tip, we have been coming to Zittau for years, but we have never visited this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, nice service and really very good Bohemian & regional cuisine.. I had really freshly cooked potatoes in the restaurant for a long time.. the food was very tasty. Prices are rather higher, but for the quality it's totally fine. Definitely worth a visit...

A stop that left nothing to be desired. A very tasty meal from a diverse menu. Extra requests were in no way a problem. The extremely friendly service rounded off the evening. The cozy atmosphere made you feel good. We have fond memories of the stop, thanks to the culinary calendar. Reservations are strongly recommended.

My mom ate here more than 20 years ago and was always full of praise - I was there in January 2025 and also very, very satisfied!!! , except the knives - the goods are not sharp...

A very good restaurant in a historic house in the middle of Zittau. Friendly and courteous staff, freshly prepared food. Should be part of every Zittau visit. Reservation recommended.

You immediately feel at home: cozy furnishings, a great selection of down-to-earth dishes and particularly friendly service. The farmer's bratwurst including the side dishes was perfect, the braised rib was a little too dry, but the Stupperle with the delicious sauce and the remaining side dishes made up for it. The Silesian poppy seed pies as dessert were a great surprise. In short: highly recommended!

Bicycle tour Görlitz - Zittau - Görlitz. Hunger in Zittau. We were welcome with dogs, and while my battery was being charged at the Zittau town hall, we recharged with culinary delights. Very pleasant service, very tasty food. Prices are completely OK in my opinion. I recommend without any reservations.

This restaurant is highly rated, and so we thought that this would be a great place to have a mid afternoon meal. The courtyard is a very nice feature, and diners can either eat out here or inside. The waitresses were mostly very friendly, although one server did seem a bit put out when she came out with our bill, only to have to return inside to get the card machine. The schnitzel that my friends ordered was delicious. However, I ordered the 3 small steaks dish, and unfortunately, the beef steak and the pork were both very dry. Other than these slight negative comments, I would recommend the restaurant for its ambience and generally good service.

Were there for dinner today with a dog. The first thing you notice is this flair, this beautiful, unique ambience. Then a very nice and courteous waitress! First of all, water for the four-legged friend. Very good. A wide selection of food, something for every taste .Our choice, schnitzel with chanterelles and Jäger style. Both with fried potatoes. Was served after a short time by our nice waitress. Everything was hot and freshly prepared. The taste was great, there was nothing to complain about! Afterwards a coffee that lives up to its name. Our conclusion. Food that is worth every cent. Ambience that cannot be beaten and the i point is a friendly service that the owner can be proud of. We will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Zittau. Thank you for visiting us on site.

I celebrated my birthday in a small group (12P). The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious - I have an extra ⭐️ for the kitchen. Price - performance 👍 An all-round successful evening for us!

We go on short vacations in the Zittau Mountains once or twice a year. Every time the path leads us to the rustic inn. The food is delicious, plentiful and has something for every taste. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and always have a smile on their faces. We can only recommend the inn and thank the staff for the lovely little break. We'll definitely be back. Thanks.

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful courtyard. The dishes look pretty good, but you can clearly see that the ingredients used are of average quality. Unfortunately, the taste component is not convincing.

Great courtyard with cozy separate rooms and bubbling fountains. The brawn, thanks to the recommendation from the nice waitress, was phenomenal (maybe a bit too much remoulade on top) and the fact that you could try the pelmeni as a starter was great. Thanks for the stay.

+ Very nice service, there were no problems in communication + great location and wonderful atmosphere, peace and quiet, greenery - everything fits together + very good food, fresh, juicy meat, fantastic puree and cabbage. Very good portions. The menu is very rich and varied, great beers. A very good place for dinner, you can feel that the cuisine is old and has a sense of taste. I ordered a sausage with puree and a triple steak with potatoes and mushroom sauce.

A beautiful, cozy and romantic inn! Thanks to my desire for solyanka and the fact that many other restaurants were closed on Mondays, I was lucky enough to visit this inn. I would have loved to order the entire menu!! I enjoyed the unique atmosphere with a glass of homemade cucumber-lemon lemonade and a large bowl of solyanka! I would give 2 more stars for the ambience ;-)
