It's a really quaint old inn. You feel like you're in the Middle Ages. Very nice staff and really great food. Highly recommended! You feel really comfortable. We are in Zittau for another 2 days and definitely want to go there again. 👍👍👍

Bicycle tour Görlitz - Zittau - Görlitz. Hunger in Zittau. We were welcome with dogs, and while my battery was being charged at the Zittau town hall, we recharged with culinary delights. Very pleasant service, very tasty food. Prices are completely OK in my opinion. I recommend without any reservations.

This restaurant is highly rated, and so we thought that this would be a great place to have a mid afternoon meal. The courtyard is a very nice feature, and diners can either eat out here or inside. The waitresses were mostly very friendly, although one server did seem a bit put out when she came out with our bill, only to have to return inside to get the card machine. The schnitzel that my friends ordered was delicious. However, I ordered the 3 small steaks dish, and unfortunately, the beef steak and the pork were both very dry. Other than these slight negative comments, I would recommend the restaurant for its ambience and generally good service.

Were there for dinner today with a dog. The first thing you notice is this flair, this beautiful, unique ambience. Then a very nice and courteous waitress! First of all, water for the four-legged friend. Very good. A wide selection of food, something for every taste .Our choice, schnitzel with chanterelles and Jäger style. Both with fried potatoes. Was served after a short time by our nice waitress. Everything was hot and freshly prepared. The taste was great, there was nothing to complain about! Afterwards a coffee that lives up to its name. Our conclusion. Food that is worth every cent. Ambience that cannot be beaten and the i point is a friendly service that the owner can be proud of. We will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Zittau. Thank you for visiting us on site.

The inn is a wonderful stopover on a stroll through the city. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The food was very rich and tasty. We liked it.

We stayed longer than planned. Very nice atmosphere, comfortable chairs, very attentive service and very tasty food. Barrel soda with different flavors, homemade lemonades. All very pleasant.

Very nice service, the waiter spoke Polish 😄 the food was great, there are local dishes typical of historic Silesia, Upper Lusatia and the Czech Republic. I recommend delicate matias or Silesian Heaven 👌😋 interesting atmosphere of an old inn.

We go on short vacations in the Zittau Mountains once or twice a year. Every time the path leads us to the rustic inn. The food is delicious, plentiful and has something for every taste. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and always have a smile on their faces. We can only recommend the inn and thank the staff for the lovely little break. We'll definitely be back. Thanks.

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful courtyard. The dishes look pretty good, but you can clearly see that the ingredients used are of average quality. Unfortunately, the taste component is not convincing.

Great courtyard with cozy separate rooms and bubbling fountains. The brawn, thanks to the recommendation from the nice waitress, was phenomenal (maybe a bit too much remoulade on top) and the fact that you could try the pelmeni as a starter was great. Thanks for the stay.

Very good portions. The menu is very rich and varied, great beers. A very good place for dinner, you can feel that the cuisine is old and has a sense of taste. I ordered a sausage with puree and a triple steak with potatoes and mushroom sauce.

A beautiful, cozy and romantic inn! Thanks to my desire for solyanka and the fact that many other restaurants were closed on Mondays, I was lucky enough to visit this inn. I would have loved to order the entire menu!! I enjoyed the unique atmosphere with a glass of homemade cucumber-lemon lemonade and a large bowl of solyanka! I would give 2 more stars for the ambience ;-)

You're doing everything right here! An ambience that you look for in Zittau and can only be found here. The food is excellent and more than sufficient. The service also leaves nothing to complain about. Just WOW!

Highly recommended. Unfortunately no photo. I ate Matjes Silesian style. That was first class cooking. The salad in particular was fresh and something completely different, creative with lentils and selected lettuce, carrots and everything freshly prepared ourselves. Plus the homemade lemonade. Easter Sunday 2022 and we were very satisfied here. Ordering by phone was uncomplicated. The service is exemplary. Our three dishes tasted great and the price/performance ratio was reasonable. A clear recommendation from us.

Wonderful. If you're looking for traditional food and drinks, you've come to the right place. Silesian and Bohemian cuisine can also be found here. The service is top. If you want to sit in the courtyard, you should ideally make a reservation. Recommended without exception.

I am thrilled by the ambience of the inner courtyard. The Spreewald-style schnitzel is 👌😋👍, only the start failed, there were no conditions. Only after I went into the restaurant did I notice that someone was in the yard.

An excellent location. The food was super tasty and freshly prepared. I had garlic soup as a starter (a must try) and Krakow-style smoked sausage as the main course. A table reservation is an advantage, but we were lucky and managed to get a spot.

Wir waren im Sommer 2024 spontan abends in Dornspachhaus. Obwohl es schon sehr ausgebucht war, haben wir noch einen Tisch bekommen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es gab eine vielfältige Auswahl an Speisen aus der Niederlausitz und Böhmen. Wir hatten vier verschiedene Gerichte und alle waren lecker & kann man sehr empfehlen. Sitzplätze gibt es im Innenhof oder in der urigen Stube.

My wife and I have been in Zittau from time to time for tens of years. It is a must for us every time to have dinner there. So, as always, we weren't disappointed, on the contrary, very tasty food, courteous service, despite a lack of staff and the prices these days are moderate. We look forward to having a good dinner there again on our next visit to Zittau.

On Sunday evening we had dinner at the Dornspachhaus and felt completely at home there. It was a rainy but warm evening and thanks to the patio heaters and rainproof roof we were able to sit comfortably in the beautiful courtyard. Despite being full, the service was very friendly and attentive. The dishes were perfectly cooked and really tasty. We had the redfish with fried potatoes and the Bohemian goulash with dumplings. We were accompanied by Soljanka and the Silesian Kingdom of Heaven. Everyone was very happy and, above all, well fed. I can recommend it without reservation!

To avoid stress, you should definitely make a reservation. We didn't do that and had to beg the waiter to give us a table. A beautiful, traditionally furnished restaurant with good food and - for us in July 2022 - only two waitresses who also had to prepare the coffee. No wonder they weren't really relaxed.

We went to the restaurant for dinner. The food was very good and everything was fine until then. Unfortunately the evening came to an unpleasant end! At around 8.15 p.m. one of the two service staff asked us if we could pay, they were already trying to figure out which of the two could go home... The restaurant is open until 9.30 p.m.!!! Since we had just ordered drinks and were well supplied, we agreed. Shortly after 9 p.m. the remaining service staff came and let us understand that they would now like to close slowly because there was nothing going on anymore...Besides us, there was another table occupied. We still drank our wine in peace and then left at 9:20 p.m.... shaking our heads because the lovely evening was ruined by the behavior of the service staff!
