Dorle in Schwäbisch Hall

Just wanted to eat there! Our son still had a bubble tea in his hand. Unfortunately we didn't even get into the restaurant because we were greeted really rudely at the door. Thank you for the nice service.

Not recommended. Neither the food nor the service nor the ambience. It's a shame, it was very disappointing.

A meal was served frozen in parts. No apology from the kitchen.

Lammspiesse nicht frisch gegrillt sondern nochmal in der Mikro erhitzt, entsprechend strohtrocken und zäh. Kartoffeln mit Gouda auch direkt aus der Mikro. Gyros strohtrocken und aufgewaermt, Salat in Öl ertränkt. Grausam, niewieder. Der Gastraum war leer als wir kamen, jetzt wissen wir warum. Die Bedienung hat uns nicht einmal begrüßt. wären wir nur zu zweit gewesen hätten wir alles sofort zurueckgegeben!

Found a black hair in the salad right at the beginning. Coleslaw with no taste. I then ordered vinegar and salt - which came immediately. Unfortunately the containers were so dirty that I didn't touch them - really disgusting. The white bread served with it was not fresh. I had the food returned.

Ein ordentliches griechisches Lokal, freundlicher Service, ordentliches Essen ohne wirkliche Höhepunkte und ein netter Platz.

On a beautiful summer evening it's nice to sit outside on the edge of the pedestrian zone. There were two of us and we happened to pass by. There were still a lot of free places, other bars were already very full. Now we know why: the food was terrible. The meat (lamb and pork) was completely dried out, as if it had been warmed up in the microwave, and a herb mixture was carelessly sprinkled over it. The salad was quite muddy. Only the tzatziki was great. We both left over half of the plate, it just looked unappetizing. No question from the service, it was removed without a word.

Probably the worst example of Greek hospitality ever(that they would serve such poor quality food in the first place......a cremated Lamb souvlaki ,at best reheated from a previous service ; at worst ,what might be expected from a malnourished mountain goat) and an insult to the "Greek kitchen" generally. Having travelled extensively in Greece and its islands for over 40 yrs and lived in a Greek area of London for 15 I can say that this is the worst example of Greek food that I've ever eaten.....not that I was able to eat much of it as it got the better of the knife and gave my jaw an impressive, not entirely successful workout!

Das Restaurant ist sehr übersichtlich. Die Stühle sind unbequem und auf den Tischen liegen keine Tischdecken. Die Kellnerin wirkte lustlos, lächelte nichts oder so, aber ich denke, der Hauptgrund war, dass sie nicht gut Deutsch sprach. Ansonsten war das Essen sehr, sehr gut. Wir haben viel Fleisch bekommen und es war alles super weich. Wir haben nicht lange gewartet und der Preis war fair.

We have been here several times and the price-performance ratio is really good. Schnitzel and spaetzle weren't a big hit, perhaps we should concentrate more on the Greek dishes. The service is super sweet and nice, but unfortunately she is the only service person apart from the boss and is therefore often overwhelmed and the constant arguments with the boss are difficult to ignore. We are very sorry for the lovely and courteous woman! The fact that she doesn't speak German perfectly is, in my opinion, a completely unjustified assessment!! Considering that she has only been in Germany for a few years, she speaks surprisingly good German and does her utmost to please her guests! Remember that she is the only service person!!

Unfriendly service! Not even a hello to greet you. After the meal there is no question as to whether you were satisfied. Gyros totally dry, you couldn't really eat them. Even one star is still way too high. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

One star is actually rated too high here!!!! We were there as a family for dinner and had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. When the drinks finally came, my daughter's was missing (she had ordered an iced tea). I pointed out to the waitress that the iced tea my daughter had ordered was missing. The answer I got was that they didn't have any iced tea (🙊🙈 why doesn't she say that when ordering). After about an hour the food finally came, out of 6 orders only 5 came to our table. An order was simply forgotten and only came when asked when we were all almost finished eating. The schnitzel was inedible and the fries were cold and unsalted. When I asked the would-be bodybuilder that the schnitzel was not edible, he said: It was a shame but I had no idea about food and I didn't know what quality meat was. Unfriendly, bad food and also more than bad service. Once and never again!!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this Restaurant!!!!!

It's a shame that you are greeted so indifferently. I had the impression that we were inconvenient to the waitress, especially since we were the only guests. Luckily I only tried the dessert, which was really horrible. A piece of old cake with loveless vanilla ice cream was served for 9 euros. My husband had gyros with mashed potatoes!!! Apparently he had to go. Nope, I absolutely can't recommend it. Actually, one star is too many. Meal 🥴

Food and service not very good.

We were assigned a table in a completely unfriendly or unmotivated manner by a young lady who could barely speak German. The service didn't deserve the name and was subpar. The food was exactly on that level. Poor quality, terrible taste, quantity just enough, prices too high for it! In summary....never again, especially since it was our second attempt!

Sehr gutes Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Empfehlung für Leute mit großen Hunger und großen Magen 😉. Die Portion war mehr als ausreichend und der Preis angemessen. Urig, nett, lecker 😋

I'm surprised that restaurants like this still exist today. The waitress tried hard, but wasn't really trained for such a job. No proper greeting or assignment to a table. Waiters and kitchen staff wore inappropriate clothing such as sweatpants and worn T-shirts. Ambiance was not contemporary, but not comfortable either. My gyros was very strange, the like of which I have never eaten in a Greek restaurant. You shouldn't actually call it gyros, but rather sliced ​​meat. It consisted of thick, dry pieces of meat in a mixture of spices. Fries, salad and tzatziki were fine. I wouldn't go there again and for that reason I wouldn't recommend it.

The waitress didn't change her face, let alone look you in the eyes. The meat from the souvlaki was dry, the potatoes baked with cheese were almost puree. Positive - Tzatziki was plentiful but bland. No question as to whether it tasted good. Despite a tip, no thanks! That really wasn't worth the money!!!

Eating moderately. The service was very unmotivated and disinterested.

My favorite restaurant in Sha! The food is excellent and served in a friendly manner, the prices are okay. I'm already looking forward to the next time 😁

Wir waren das erste Mal im Dorle. Gemütliches, schönes Lokal. Sind sehr freundlich bedient worden. Salat und das Essen waren lecker. Da gehen wir wieder mal hin!

Sunday night. A lot is closed. This one looked fine from outside. A few tables inside, seemed a welcome place. Then came the waitress. I felt horrible for her. Was her life so terrible? A concrete robot that nothing could make her smile. The food? Very average except the tomato soup. The calamari, the souvlaki below average. Same for the wine. The price? Should be half what we paid for. The crowning? No credit card payment. The waitress was by herself, no manager around. Please take a few more minutes to find a better restaurant.

Einfach schrecklich!,das essen konnte man nicht essen. Die Kartoffeln waren vom Vortag und die Pommes überhaupt nicht gesalzen oder überhaupt gewürtzt. Sogar der Salat hat nicht geschmeckt. Der Schafskäse im Blätterteig war nicht essbar. Der Service berufverfehlt. Katastrophe!!!

Wir hatten ein Schweineschnitzel mit pommes und Gyros mit Pommes zum essen. Das Schnitzel war sehr trocken und ohne jeglichem Gewürz. Das Gyros war das schlechteste Gyros das ich je gegessen hab... das Fleisch sehr Trocken und Dunkel und alt... Fleisch Ungenießbar... man kann es als Ganmelfleisch bezeichnen. Wenn es geschmeckt hätte passt die Menge nicht zu 18,50 Euro Bitte geht dort nicht essen

Das Essen ist hervorragend und die Bedinung ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Güros und das warme Brot mit Zaziki sind extrem lecker.

Wir waren gestern in der Gruppe zum Essen, war wieder sehr lecker. Die Bedienung bzw. Wahrscheinlich der Chef, auch sehr freundlich.. Ich selbst kenne das Dorle noch aus meiner Jugend vor 55 Jahren... Nur wenn man älter wird und muss zur Toilette solche Treppen überwinden ist für manche Menschen schwer.

Wir haben hier sehr tolle Erfahrungen gemacht. Der Kellner war freundlich und aufmerksam und das Essen kam schnell und war wirklich lecker. Die Menge war auch genau richtig und wir waren am Ende mehr als satt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Der äußere Eindruck täuscht. Kein Schickimicki, die Küche ist gut und sorgfältig, der Service leger, aber aufmerksam. Ich wählte ein als Tagesangebot außen vor dem Lokal auf einer Tafel angepriesenes griechisches Gericht und war hochzufrieden.

Sehr schmackhaft . Freundliche Bedienung. Unkompliziert . Einrichtung eher etwas in die Jahre gekommen wer es Urig mag fühlt sich hier sehr wohl . Man kann rundum nicht meckern !

Gathering from the looks from outside, I was expecting to dine at a German "gasthof" kind of restaurant. However, it turned out to be Greek as we sat down. Well, it was no problem for me either way. To my certain surprise, there was no checking on our COVID vaccination certificate or no requirement to provide our contact information. It probably was due to Schwäbisch Hall being in a different state from where we live in Bavaria. I still felt like some German food, so I ordered schweinschnitzel with fries and salad. My wife opted for their house special salad with chicken. My side salad was well-dressed with onion-heavy dressing. It tasted fine. Schnitzel could've used some more flavoring like salt & pepper, but accompanying sauce/gravy added some more flavoring. Meat was cooked well and tasted just fine. Fries were not salted or had a minimum amount of salt which I couldn't detect. I took care of that with ketchup. My wife enjoyed her salad though she gave me her peppers, olives and some feta to add to mine. She said her chicken was OK. I tasted one piece, and it was grilled alright, but it could've used more flavoring. The service was rendered with a smile by a nice man. To summarize, a better than average restaurant--nothing really special, but the price and food quality were certainly just fine. As is often the case with these type of establishment it's cash only. It'll be helpful if you spoke some German.

Essen schrecklich, der Inhaber war unfreundlich und ungepflegt ,sehr schlechter Service... die Details möchte ich nicht erwähnen, ich persönlich werde diesen Laden nie wieder betreten.... das ist für mich als Griechin "Fremdschämen"

Essen richtig gut. Typisch griechisch aber auch mit besonderen Gerichten die man bei anderen Griechen nicht bekommt. Wirklich empfehlenswert.

Essen war okay. Chef unfreundlich u arrogant nachdem er aufgefordert wurde eine offizielle Rechnung zu stellen. Zudem wurde er auf einen offensichtlichen Fehler beim Abkassieren hingewiesen (rundet wohl gerne um 10 € auf). Keine Empfehlung!
