An absolute nightmare – aggressive and rude waiter I never imagined I'd have such an absurd experience in a restaurant. When I was paying, an elderly waiter (around 65 years old) demanded a tip – in an arrogant and almost threatening manner, even though he had done absolutely nothing to deserve it. When I refused, he completely lost his temper: He started shouting loudly, insulting me and my friends in the most vile ways, and exhibiting aggressive behavior that is completely unacceptable for someone in the hospitality industry. Despite his disrespect, I neither raised a hand against him nor uttered an insulting word – not out of fear, but because, despite being young, I have more decency and manners than he does. To top it all off, he threw us out of the restaurant and shouted at us never to come back – as if he owned the place. Absolutely disgraceful behavior. I will never set foot in this place again and I honestly can't recommend it to anyone. If you don't want to ruin your evening, stay away from this restaurant.

The waiters are very personable and give the customers a nice smile. The food is superbly prepared and tastes very delicious. The interior is just as great. I couldn't be happier!

The Doreedos impresses with its modern and open design - the entire guest room is surrounded by large, floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a wide view of the street and the hustle and bustle around Kurt-Schumacher-Platz. The corner location means you have a clear view in two directions, which gives it a particularly bright and airy atmosphere. The waiters are very attentive and friendly. The prices are really affordable. The meat didn't entirely convince me - but I'm also quite picky, especially when it comes to the way it's kept and where it comes from. Nevertheless: For the price-performance ratio, this is absolutely fine. I particularly liked the vegetables - the beans were very tasty and the broccoli was nice and fresh. If you want to eat cheaply but well, this is definitely the right place for you.

Unfortunately, I can't understand some of the good reviews here at all. It starts as soon as you come in, then you take a seat and the tables are sticky, the service is disinterested, they talk about the guests and suddenly five waiters look at you... the quality is inferior in my opinion. The presentation is also very bland. The food is brought to the table, but not cutlery. The meat was completely cooked through and had to be chewed about 150 times. If you don't give an appropriate tip (€0 would be appropriate, but there was still more!) you won't get any schnapps or espresso in the end, like some other guests. I just don't like the store! And there are definitely better food options.

There is an update update below! Last time: A steakhouse/pizzeria with very reasonable prices compared to classic steakhouses. The staff is extremely accommodating and polite. There were four of us and we paid 95 € for rump steaks 250 g each, 1x fries, two baked potatoes with sour cream and a "Frutti di Mare" salad along with various drinks. That's not even €25 per person! The wait was less than 20 minutes in the well-filled restaurant. As a farewell, everyone was treated to a little “nightcap” of their choice. The fact that we also found a parking space right “in front of the door” really impressed us on Sunday evening. I can't estimate what the parking situation is like on the other days/evenings. By the way, in the warm season over 100 guests can eat outside. Update 3/31/25: Today we had another meal with our family. Unfortunately, this time it wasn't as great as last time. The fillet steak doesn't deserve the name. It was "tattered", i.e. not in one piece and partly tough and not "medium" as ordered, just like another steak which we even had to return so that it could also be grilled medium. The drinks and sauces we ordered were sometimes forgotten and only arrived later after we asked. We will eat there again soon. Let's see if the owners have taken the criticism to heart. 🤔 We give them a second chance! 😉

Great food, although my main course was brought a short time after the starter. But my waiter sent it back, which I thought was very good. However, the chicken wings were ice cold afterward and were probably left on the side. The meat was very good and to the point. Still happy again.

I like to go here often for dinner or lunch. The service is friendly and the food comes very quickly, even though it is a fairly large restaurant on 2 floors, which is always very busy. Despite the many guests, it is not a hectic or loud atmosphere, but always relatively relaxed. There is a very large menu. Lamb, beef, pork, fish, pasta, salads and much, much more. There is actually something for everyone. I always try something new and haven't been disappointed yet.

We were in Berlin yesterday and our accommodation was close there. We actually wanted to go to another restaurant, unfortunately the public transport was on strike. However, we were lucky in misfortune and ended up here. We came with 21 people. It took them just 10 minutes to set up a long table and we were then able to sit down. The price-performance is insane. I had 300g lamb fillet, there were green beans with onions, bacon and as a filling side dish I also chose a baked potato with sour cream. The portion was huge and very tasty, of course you had to add a little salt to the potato and the meat, but the meat was exactly to the point I wanted (medium rare). All this for €18.50. The beer prices were also great at €3.50 per half liter and from Monday to Thursday each cocktail only costs €4.90. I had a Mai Tai and a Plunterspunch, they would have been good mixed together. Unfortunately there was a bit of a problem with the service. Empty plates and glasses stood on the tables for 2 hours and were not cleared away, and people rarely asked if anyone would like anything else. But at the end there was something positive: there was a round of schnapps on the house and everyone was well fed and their thirst was also quenched.

Disappointing experience – not recommended Unfortunately, our visit to Doreedo was disappointing. Some of our orders were forgotten and my steak wasn't cooked as requested - instead of "well done" I received it "rare". Our polite request was not really answered. The atmosphere was also unpleasant: the sun was shining directly in our faces, and our request to adjust the blinds was refused. Overall, the service was not convincing. Unfortunately not an experience we would like to repeat.

The food is delicious, the beer is good. However, it is a bit noisy, the space in the hallway is too small and the cleanliness of the room leaves something to be desired.

I had shrimp curry. Large portion for 15 euros. Lots of shrimp in a very tasty sauce. Absolute recommendation. The only drawback for me was the volume in the restaurant was a bit too high.

I have rarely experienced a restaurant that places as much emphasis on quality, taste and atmosphere as Dorredo's Steak House. From the first moment you feel welcome - friendly welcome, cozy atmosphere and attentive service that leaves nothing to be desired. And then the food: simply a dream! The steaks were prepared exactly as requested - perfectly grilled on the outside, wonderfully juicy and tender on the inside. You can immediately tell that only the best cuts of meat are grilled here. The side dishes were also excellent: crispy fries, fresh vegetables and a fantastic selection of sauces to top it all off. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail - be it the presentation of the food or the recommendations from the staff, who really know what they are talking about. We found ourselves at Doreedos after Christmas. It was very busy. After ordering food and drinks, everything arrived relatively quickly, hot and very tasty and also affordable. I can only recommend it in this day and age when going out to eat has almost become a luxury . Keep it up and I'll be happy to come back. The only drawback was that the background noise was very loud and at some point you almost had to shout at each other to have a conversation

My son (18) went to Kutschi in Doredos today. He ate there for around EUR 21. The waiter wasn't very friendly and told him when he was paying that he had to tip 10%. My son rounded up, to which the waiter said: that's not enough tip! Something like that is very unkind! I would NOT have given a tip for this behavior!

I have the most pleasant impressions. It's nice to come here for a romantic dinner, a family dinner or a friendly meeting. Delicious food, friendly atmosphere, affordable prices. This is now my favorite restaurant.

Lot of different food to choose from. Veru good quality. The menu mentiones proces are same as before 20 years, but that is not correct. Similar prices as in other steak houses. Nice steak.

We stayed at Doreedos on a Tuesday following the recommendation of Blocki030. I have to say my expectations were not disappointed. Appetizer: Home style carpaccio was good. Unfortunately, chilli con carne was just ok. It wasn't spicy but bitter. Corn on the cob is great. Main course: 400g rib eye served on a hot plate with a baked potato and beans. I liked it. Unfortunately, the pot with shrimp was only ok and the sauce was bitter here too. Service: Was always present. Overall very good price/performance. But expectations should be average. But we'd love to come back.

We are regular guests at Doreedos and are thrilled by the quick and friendly waitresses who are always keen to fulfill their guests' every culinary wish. The restaurant is usually very busy and seats are rare. Nevertheless, we always got a place. Whatever is possible is made possible. The food always looks delicious and appealing. Since I'm a vegetarian, I usually order the vegetarian fajita, which is highly recommended. All in all, the restaurant is a real “insider tip”.

The only thing that can be criticized from time to time are the fries, which are not always crispy with the meal. Otherwise the price-performance ratio is great. In and of itself it is a very easy to reach location. The prices are exactly what they promise, value for money is top. Personally, I can say the curry is just not my cup of tea. It was just very bitter for my taste because of the green pepper. Somehow a taste that is not 100% definable. The selection of drinks is really very balanced. Also a nice selection of cocktails, unfortunately only very limited. The Caipi is pure lime with rum. The Pina is exactly the same, just very hard stuff. All in all, I may have had a bad grip. My friend enjoyed his meal. He particularly praised the sauce. The waiters do a good job and always have a smile on their faces. All in all highly recommended except for the curry and the cocktails. 😅

We were in Berlin today and ate there on the recommendation of a friend. It was excellent. The steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it. Plus prices like 20 years ago. Simply recommended to everyone... Very, very happy again.

Ambiance was neat & clean. Service was sometimes nice and kept us waiting a lot. Rump steak 250g was well fried and tasty. Fried potatoes were delicious. The price definitely catches the eye here. Price performance ratio is very good!

I am deeply disappointed with my last visit to this steakhouse. Even though the place was almost empty, I was served the wrong food and both starter and main course arrived at the same time, resulting in everything getting cold. The potato was cold, slapped directly onto the aluminum foil with sour cream - unappetizing and carelessly prepared. The steak was also cold and rubbery, even though I ordered it medium. When I politely asked if I could exchange the steak, I was met with incomprehension. The waiter showed no insight and an unbearable discussion ensued. Particularly shocking was the behavior of a young waiter who became so aggressive that a colleague had to restrain him. This completely ruined the evening and the atmosphere was just unpleasant. After many years as a loyal customer, I have to say: the quality and service have decreased dramatically. I definitely won't be coming back.
