Food tasted very good, but a bit too expensive for the portion size

Was here last night (Abendgold event) with friends. I've been here several times before!!! But this time we had to wait 15 minutes for a request, and it took another 30 minutes for our drinks to finally arrive. Our ordered food arrived almost an hour later, and everything was lukewarm! It's a good gift!! At an event, you should ensure a good team and not have requirements that bring everything to the table individually. E.M.

The service was inattentive. We had to wait a long time, and only after being asked did they come to the table. Clearing the table also took a long time, and we weren't asked again. Even after being asked again, we were able to order again. The service is a different story! When we wanted to pay, we were told to come inside and wait until the young lady had time. When paying, we pointed out that the service was poor, and in response, we received an unfriendly and snippy "I'll pass it on." No thanks for being there, and not a pleasant evening. That's how you alienate your guests and don't get any recommendations. The service was completely out of place! The food was very tasty and good, as were the drinks.

Gave myself a €7 tip, forgot three drinks and was asked to pay twice - no thanks!

I went there for the first time a few days ago and was absolutely thrilled. I'd never tasted the food like it before, and I was amazed. I love fish, so it was like a paradise for my taste buds. Highly recommended, great service, I'd love to come back 👍

Unfortunately, the food took forever, and I was the last one to arrive. The price/performance ratio was poor. I ordered a salad. It was a small portion. No bread. It was incredibly expensive.

Beautifully located restaurant in the old town. Very hospitable service. The food was fantastically delicious; we ordered ceviche, arroz de marisco, and trio de causas. A true culinary delight, just as I had hoped. Highly recommended and certainly not my last visit. Many thanks for this fantastic experience...

It's a Peruvian restaurant with common Peruvian food but designed nicely on the plate. It's a bit expensive but it is delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is no parking space right across from it but since it is in the old city center there are a lot of parking opportunities around for which you have to pay.

Ordered 2 wheat beers within 45 minutes, waitress was there twice, beer was coming right away, boss came once, do you want to order something, ordered again after another 20 minutes of waiting we left because nothing came, simply unprofessional 🤷

We passed by the restaurant on the weekend and spontaneously stopped in with friends. The restaurant is very cozy. The menu is unusual and a bit exotic. We tried everything from fish and meat to vegetables. Everything was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Die Kellner hatten keine Ahnung, was jeder bestellt hatte. Sie berechneten einer Person das Essen einer anderen Person, manche verlangten die doppelte Rechnung oder das Essen vom anderen Tisch. usw. The food was very disappointing, worst Lomo Saltado I have ever seen. The ceviche was not properly marinated, and the fish was a bit hard. Also, I consider it was very expensive! we have "trilogía de causa" and that was good. the restaurant was basically empty and took lot of time to get the diches. The pisco sour doen't taste at all as peruvian pisco sour.

It is a very nice restaurant and is very reminiscent of Peru. The food can be improved, the ceviche is not served with Petersilie, but with cilantro, it would be much better and it would be good to integrate this into the seasoning, the salt was not very representative in all the dishes, here it can also be improved. The anticuchos were well cooked and to taste, but there was also the issue of salt here. The grilled chicken did not look like the typical Peruvian grilled chicken, the seasoning could also be improved here. In conclusion, if the seasoning improves in all these points, it would be very good.

I had a starter that was beautifully prepared and very tasty. Cold mashed potatoes that were rolled like a sushi roll. Was terrific. The service was a bit overwhelmed that evening but super friendly.

Really disappointed, I didn't quite understand if they were empanadas or Teig wantan stuffed with ground meat, where in Peru do you eat these empanadas? Peru is characterized by its gastronomic quality and we really didn't find it here last night.

Super delicious food, we had the fried trout and a quinoa bowl with chicken. Every bite is a new taste experience. Wonderful variety of flavors. The staff is very friendly, quick and accommodating. We'd love to come back.

The food was quite good overall, but the ceviche juice was disappointing and didn't have a good taste; I've tried much better ceviches. I was also looking forward to a good pisco sour, but the drink served was more reminiscent of “sour water”. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the waiter explained that it was because the drink was shaken by hand. As a Peruvian, I know Pisco very well and know what an authentic Pisco Sour should taste like. Unfortunately, this experience was a huge disappointment.

We were really looking forward to the visit but were unfortunately disappointed. We were there without a reservation and took advantage of the voucher book. At the time, only two tables in the restaurant were occupied and everything else was free. Although almost the entire restaurant was free, we were seated right next to one of the two occupied tables. Neither the guests nor we were particularly enthusiastic because the distance was minimal and the conversations were inevitably traceable. The food wasn't particularly good or big. The waitress took a lot of time serving and the food was served far too quickly. In the end we had to pay in cash and there was no invoice (due to the voucher book). We won't visit it again.

I found it far too loud and restless to eat together. The food was tasty but the price was high.

In principle we had a nice evening at Dona Eva. The shop is a bit smaller but nicely decorated. However, the premises are not recommended for people with disabilities or a stroller (toilet and seating area can only be reached via stairs)! The food was OK. I would say value for money rather mediocre. We had to add salt to all the dishes afterwards. The portion size was ok, as you can see from the pictures, the shrimp or octopus were more of a garnish than really a meal (even if they were tasty). Therefore 1 star deducted here. The cocktails were very tasty! Otherwise 1 star deducted because unfortunately we didn't get the dish we ordered. This affected the starter. We also asked more frequently what we ordered (when taking the order). Of course we could have said something about the starter, but unfortunately we only noticed the mistake afterwards when we read the dishes again (we had also paid for the more expensive dish). Otherwise the service was nice. So kindly meant 3 stars :-)

It is a Peruvian restaurant where you can find different typical Peruvian dishes, an incredible variety of cocktails. The attention is very satisfactory.

We had a very tasty meal here. We had empanadas, ceviche, arroz con mariscos & vegetarian causas & torta de tres leches. All highly recommended. There is Cusqueña, which we were very happy about. Chicha Morada is also on the menu, but we missed Inca Cola. Overall, Doña Eva is recommended, the food is authentic and the service was good. This was certainly not our last visit.

Was surprised and was also delicious. The meat portions were a bit too small and the vegetarian dishes were very simple, but very tasty. The meat had a delicious flavor, but was tough throughout and therefore tough, but I know from countries like this that the meat tends to be cooked through. Gladly again.

Coming from Peru and living in Frankfurt, I always try out Peruvian restaurants wherever I go. I heard about this place and a friend praised its food to be really good and the portion (compared to restaurants in Frankfurt) really huge. So far so goods unfortunately, the food was very salty and other from that not spicy / original at all. Empanadas were nice in taste but not empanadas and more resemblance of a wantan. The ceviche did not have any aji and was therefore not spicy…the yucas, something I love, did not come with the typical huancaina sause but with a salty mayonnaise. The link saltado was, again, very salty and the meat a little on the chewy side. We had a couple of more dishes like seco and also calamari frito, all too salty. And unfortunately, the tres leches cake was a disappointment - not a tres leches at all. Service was very nice and attentive…but the food did not live up the expectations (of a Peruvian or of people knowing Peruvian food).

The German waiter was so rude and despotic. In a celebration of national holidays you cannot only have a few tables knowing the influx of people that may arrive. Even if you have to reserve a table with an anteroom, the consumption of drinks could not be done due to the fact that there were no tables, really terrible... The celebration was so timid, like a school... I just arrived from Lima and with high expectations to observe this event and I went ahead with everything. The people celebrate, but there is no real joy on the part of the compatriots, as in Lima with hubbub, noise and dancing... We couldn't consume it like that, those who reserved left... It was truly a terrible experience. I hope they improve, but I would definitely never go. Again, an hour from my house... I would give it a 3 out of 10 and that's being generous.

Very nice bar, nice staff, great atmosphere. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, but we celebrated my farewell to my bachelorette very nicely.

I got a tip from a friend that there is delicious Peruvian food here. I have to say, she was right. From the ceviche to the anticuchos to the tres leches, everything tasted fabulous and actually deserves 6 stars. The price is super cheap for the quality. Our waitress, who according to the receipt was called Chef ;), was always friendly and attentive. It's super rare these days to have such great service. The location is very nicely located and you feel like you are on vacation when you sit here and the time flies. Everything is super clean and the menu is appealing and very personal, which makes you feel even more than just a guest. All in all it was a successful evening and I will now go there more regularly.

Oha...or reaching into the toilet... Either way, you could describe the evening in a similar way. Overwhelmed one-man service when the restaurant is full. Unfortunately, communication between the guest and the service didn't work at all and the first drinks only quenched the first thirst more than 25 minutes after ordering. Apart from the fact that the order was pathetic when served and there was hardly a glimmer of hope that what was mentioned was actually recorded. Oh well...! The surrounding tables were also looked after very sporadically and some of the guests were now loudly demanding. Then, after waiting for over an hour, starters and main courses were served synchronously and the collapse could no longer be disguised... meanwhile the boss plus two other people were involved, but that didn't bring any improvement. From then on there was no sense of enjoyment anymore and so I would have preferred a Japanese bento box. So the warm starter and the "still" warm main course had to be eaten together in no time at all so that everything didn't get cold again straight away. Just disaster! The cleanliness also leaves something to be desired and open power lines adorned the toilet area, which is positioned directly adjacent to the kitchen. The restaurant seems loud and makes conversations at the table very tiring. The crowning achievement was that the invoice was somehow entered into a cash register, but upon request it was not possible to print out the invoice... the rest is silence...!

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our last visit to Dona Eva. The service was half-hearted, rather clumsy. The price-performance ratio borders on outrageous. When we were served the Plata de la Finca for two, we were amazed. Half a chicken, a few strips of beef with potato wedges, 3 small empanadas, that's it! For 52.50 euros! Craziness! As a fan of the Peruvian national drink Chicha Morada, I was disappointed. I know the taste exactly, it tastes of cloves and spices and has a deep purple color. What was served didn't even resemble the original in color. All in all, the Dona Eva is no longer recommended for us. Pure rip-off, very unfortunate

Great bar to enjoy the evening with friends or just unwind. The food is very tasty and, with the right ambience, authentic (as far as I can tell). The friendliness of the employees cannot be surpassed. The small bar Doña Eva is probably my favorite bar. A beautiful atmosphere, super nice staff and great food! Only recommended

The service was nice and the food was good, but I probably wouldn't go there again. It's been a few days since our visit and I'm still kind of annoyed. We had asked for a mixed starter platter and also ordered a mixed platter for the main course, which we did on the tip of a friend. Almost the same thing was put on the starter plate as on the main course plate, which I think is a real shame. Personally, the price is just too high for me. The food is delicious and the quality is certainly good, but the price-performance ratio was simply not there for me during our visit. I also find the price for the mixed platter for the main course, which is standard on the menu, much too exaggerated for what you actually get. In addition, the plates were put down and we only received plates when we asked.

Great host! My food was very tasty. My two companions enjoyed it. The dishes they ordered were probably not to their taste. However, we will definitely come back to try more.

Correction: It worked on the second try! Compared to the first visit, this time we reserved a table that was actually free for us. We had a very nice evening, sat very comfortably, had very nice service, and drinks were also really tasty. The food was also good - although the portions were a bit small and the ceviche was a bit tough and sour. I would still highly recommend it - something different! It's best to order 2 starters instead of a main course, then it's definitely worth it.

A really great little place. As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel at home in the cozy atmosphere, which is topped by the friendly (and fast) service. The dishes were all incredibly tasty (especially the empanadas!) and the selection of drinks was also really impressive. Nothing was left to be desired and the quality is worth every cent! Kurzfristige Reservation hat bestens geklappt. Leider klebrige und abgegriffene Speisekarte. Cocktail sehr gut. Die eine Vorspeise top, die andere extrem salzig. Service leider sehr unprofessionell, keine gastronomischen Fähigkeiten gespürt. Selbst das Gedeck musste verlangt werden. Hauptspeisen waren gut, man weiss jedoch nicht recht was man bestellt da es relativ dürftig in der Karte beschrieben ist. Man lässt sich überraschen oder Google hilft. Fazit: für ein Cocktail in lustigem Südamerika-Ambiente empfehlenswert.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes und ansprechendes Lokal! Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, man wird sehr herzlich empfangen und gut bewirtet. Das Essen ist hervorragend, man merkt sofort die Qualität. Frische und peruanische Kochkunst! Absolut empfehlenswert für Genießer, die gerne gut essen und neue geschmäcker entdecken! Werden bald wieder kommen :)

Doña Eva ist ein peruanisches Restaurant in Hanau, das authentische peruanische Küche serviert. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Ich habe das Glück gehabt, das Restaurant vor kurzem besuchen zu können, und ich war von dem Essen absolut begeistert. Die Zutaten waren frisch und von höchster Qualität, und die Gerichte waren perfekt zubereitet. Der Service im Doña Eva war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, und sie haben sich sehr bemüht, uns einen angenehmen Abend zu bereiten.

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Essen ist sehr lecker und zum Teil sehr gut gewürzt, was aber positiv immer neue Geschmacksnerven anregt. Teilweise sind die Portionen etwas klein, hier wäre für das Essen von richtige Männer vielleicht ein Nachschlag empfehlenswert.

This Peruvian restaurant is fantastic!

Als ich die Lokalität betreten hatte wurde ich sofort herzlich begrüßt und direkt gefragt ob ich was zu trinken möchte. Direkt wie mein Glas leer war wurde ich gefragt ob ich noch ein weiteres Getränk haben möchte. Ohne zu wissen bin ich 45 min über die Mittagspause sitzen geblieben ohne das ich aufgefordert wurde das Lokal zu verlassen. Das ist ein absoluter 100%iger Service. Nicht wie im Nachbarlokal! Ambiente sehr schön plus schöner Biergarten. Essen habe ich noch nicht ausprobiert aber das werden ich sicherlich noch tun. Macht weiter so, dass ist Customer Focus! Die Speisen wurden mittlerweile auch probiert und sind sehr gut 👍. Wir kommen wieder!!
