Don Via Restaurant Stuttgart in Stuttgart

Wir hatten hier leider keinen zu empfehlenden Aufenthalt. Als man sich an den Tisch im Innenbereich gesetzt hat merkte man schnell die kalte Zugluft, wir haben uns daher an einen Tisch im oberen Stockwerk gesetzt. Nachdem wir den Tisch wegen der kalten Zugluft getauscht haben, folgten die 2 weiteren besetzten Tische aus dem Erdgeschoss mit der selben Begründung nach oben. Die Bedienung machte einen überforderten Eindruck, diese hatte uns am Tisch platziert und wahrgenommen aber dennoch erst nach ca. 25 Minuten die Karte gebracht. Der Cocktail hatte nicht die Qualität, die wir sonst gewohnt sind. In der Karte werden als Vorspeise u.a. Riesengarnelen angeboten, man erhält aber kleine Shrimps schwimmend in Fett, eine Soße wie ebenso angegeben, war dies leider nicht. Der Kellnerin wurde die falsche Ausschreibung erklärt und dass dies irritierend sei, ganz abgesehen von dem qualitativen & preislichen Unterschied bzgl. Riesengarnelen & Shrimps. Die Shrimps wurden teilweise gegessen, das restliche Gericht wurde zurück gegeben. Eine Preisanpassung wäre fair gewesen, wurde bei der Rechnung allerdings nicht berücksichtigt. An sich handelt es sich um ein schönes Ambiente, leider haben wir aber das wesentliche (Essen, Service & Sauberkeit) nicht für gut empfunden. Die Scheiben innen sowie außen sehen aus als wären diese lange nicht gereinigt worden, auch die eigentlich schönen Leuchtbirnen im Lokal sind verstaubt und nicht gereinigt. Das Glas von dem Kerzenlicht war ebenso am ersten Tisch sowie beim zweiten, als auch an den Nebentischen mit Wachs verschmiert und machte den Eindruck als würde man diese nicht reinigen. Da unser Besuch enttäuschend war, werden wir hier kein weiteres Mal sein und Restaurants bevorzugen welche bisher positiv überzeugt haben.

Trotz Reservation im Voraus war leider kein Tisch frei. Wir mussten selber Tische zusammenschieben. Service war unfreundlich und schlecht. Das Essen war ok. Schön wäre gewesen wenn alle 6 Personen ihr Essen gleichzeitig gekriegt hätten. In den Calamares hatte es Pommes Frites drin.

Der Schlemmerblock wurde nicht angenommen. Es wurden uns lediglich 5 Mittagsgerichte (verbilligt) Ich werde das Restaurant nicht mehr aufsuchen.

Leider lauwarme Lasagne gehabt, Essen generell nicht auf hohem Niveau. Fleisch war trocken, Preis/Leistung gut. Allerdings kriegt man für einen geringen Aufpreis deutlich besser gekocht und qualitativ bessere Speisen in der Umgebung. Sind aufgrund der guten Google Bewertungen (4,7) hin, was uns letztendlich enttäuscht hat

Hervorragende Atmosphäre. So ein leckeres Essen habe ich in Stuttgart noch nie gegessen. Und riesige Portionen. Das Personal ist übel nett und hilfsbereit. Sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen immer wieder gerne.

Essen war sehr gut und kam schnell :) Im Innenraum leider schon sehr heiß, vielleicht kann man hier mit Ventilatoren nachhelfen. Draußen sitzen war für uns keine Option weil Raucherbereich. Online-Reservierung ging ohne Probleme obwohl sehr kurzfristig. Nachtisch kam zum Geburtstag sogar mit Wunderkerze. Schöner Abend gerne wieder.

Leider lässt das Restaurant Google Bewertungen systematisch löschen und Google macht das mit. Wir hatten vor Ort keinen schönen Abend. Der Service war mangelhaft, das Essen kalt, das Ambiente oben ist schön im Keller leider nicht. Ich empfehle jedem mal die aktuellsten Google Bewertungen anzusehen. Diese sind oft noch nicht gelöscht und zeigen die ehrlichen Ergebnisse

Das Essen war hervorragend. Ich mag das Don Via sehr. Aber der Service war eine Katastrophe. Wir haben alle drei unser Essen zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten erhalten. Und meine Beilage kam 15 Minuten später. Als mein Gericht bereits kalt war. Ich weiss allerdings nicht, ob es der Kellnerin geschuldet war. Da ständig ein Kellner kam und ihr Essen für die Shisha Bar in die Hand gedrückt hat. Obwohl sie an unserem Tisch beschäftigt war. Sie tat mir ehrlicherweise leid.

Es war sehr voll, laut und der Service war nicht aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr gut!

Restaurant très correct et pas cher !!! Nous étions une table de 25 personnes et la serveuse qui parlait un peu français était très disponible pour nous. Les pizzas étaient bonnes. Merci encore .

Es war ok, nicht mehr und nicht weniger… Wir hatten an einem Samstag Abend zu 7 einen Tisch reserviert und alles in allem einen guten Abend. Am Ende ist ein Abend in einem Restaurant immer ein auch ein Gesamtergebnis von Speisen Ambiente und Service. Das Ambiente passt schon, oben ist es sehr schön wir wurden leider im Keller platziert, das ist es nun nicht Hässlich aber insgesamt halt einfach auch nur ok. Die Speisen waren insgesamt auch eher nur ok. Wir waren zu 7 und zwischen dem ersten und letzten Essen das uns geliefert wurde lagen ca. 15 Minuten (auch ein Service Thema) gemeinsam essen sollte in einem Restaurant mit diesem Anspruch aber eigentlich die Regel sein. leider waren bei den beiden letzten Essen (grillteller) einzelne Komponenten schon kalt, andere kamen frisch aus der Pfanne. Das zusammenstellen von grillteller ist ziemlich cool, die Preise sind für die Lage absolut in Ordnung (fast günstig) und insgesamt waren alle Speisen lecker aber auch nicht aussergewöhnlich, also alles irgendwie ok. Der Service war auch nur ok. Auf der einen Seite waren die beiden Damen die uns über den Abend bedient haben wirklich nett, wenn sie denn da waren… auf der anderen Seite wurden wir sehr oft sehr alleine gelassen… Leere Teller wurden ewig nicht abgewöhnt, Gläser eigentlich gar nicht. Zumindest wusste meine Frau beim zahlen direkt wieviel Aperol sie getrunken hat da alle 4 Gläser leer vor ihr standen… Wir werden dort nicht mehr essen gehen. In einer Stadt wie Stuttgart ist die Konkurrenz einfach groß und es gibt viele Restaurants wo das Gesamtergebnis gut ist und nicht nur „ok“

I've been there a few times and I have to emphasize that the service in particular is extremely poor. I waited 1h 10 minutes for my food (we were the only guests). There was no response from the service staff: no apology, no justification. In addition, the table was not set and even after repeated requests for napkins, none came. (Until you had to get up to get some yourself) there was no excuse for that either. Prices too high for such poor service. I observed others missing food and someone almost getting burned with tomato soup. Clumsy unfriendly waiters. Tip: Management should be on site more often!!

Service rude. Food cold and 2 hours late. Nobody wants to help.

Unfortunately, after frequent visits to Don Via, I have noticed that the service is getting massively worse. Long waiting times, poorly trained staff and no professionalism. Drinks and a cheese plate were ordered for €20. After the drinks came we had to wait more than an hour for the long-awaited cheese plate. When we received this, we were horrified. Setting up the platter was sad for €20. The price-performance ratio is definitely not the same. We also asked several times for napkins, which were 2 meters away from us. But here too, it wasn't a given until we had to get it ourselves. We were able to enjoy the ambience in a cold state because the door was wide open. Please be sure to train the staff or hire suitable people. For a restaurant with almost 5 stars, you would expect friendly and professional staff.

Everything used to be perfect! A great team, ordering worked great. The service was always so friendly. Unfortunately there is nothing left of it. We were there yesterday with the girls, the service was simply overwhelmed and unfriendly. When we complained about her behavior, the lady was in no way forthcoming or willing to apologize. Even the “boss” just asked if everything was okay, but didn’t take any action when the waitress was so rude. Normally we always spend the evening eating and drinking, but in this case it was too stupid for us to pay and leave. Maybe the staff here should be trained in how to deal with customers. After almost two years at Don Via, the store has been given a wide berth since yesterday evening. It's a shame, it was always great there!

Essen sehr lecker, Getränke auch. Der Eistee war richtig richtig gut. Der Service könnte besser sein. Bestelltes Wasser wurde vergessen, Bedienungen kam nur bei Aufforderung an den Tisch. Mit besserer Bedienung sehr gerne wieder! :)

Konnten kurzfristig für 10 Personen buchen und waren begeistert vom Essen und dem Ambiente. Leider kam unser Essen nicht ansatzweise gleichzeitig sodass die eine Hälfte schon fertig war bevor der Rest kam.

Pizza was okay, but unfortunately the base wasn't crispy. The waiter was friendly, but rather haphazard and had to ask the boss for everything. Loading is nice.

Very nice atmosphere. The truffle pasta made from the Parmesan wheel was great in itself, very cheesy but unfortunately it hardly tasted like truffles. The truffle didn't really taste truffley and seemed old. The Mafaldine with truffle sauce were super tasty.

Were there for the first time. The reviews convinced us. The occasion was a friend's birthday. Food wasn't bad either, you can't say anything about that, big selection and not bad in terms of taste. Unfortunately, all the waiters had probably gotten off on the wrong foot that day. As soon as we arrived we were rudely taken to the table, we continued with the waiter who was probably having a bad day and was very rude to all of us. But the highlight came after the meal. We wanted to pay and have the rest of the food packed. The waitress picked up our plates and dropped the cutlery on one of the plates. No problem, we picked up the cutlery, put it back on the plate with exactly the food we wanted to take with us and continued towards the kitchen. We told the waiter this and had the food given to us anyway, but then fed it to the animals at home. A pity. During the checkout process (everyone had paid individually), two of our friends were chatting with each other as the others paid. When the others were finished, the waiter shouted at the two friends who were talking and asked who else wanted to pay. I then told him not to scream like that, to which his answer was: He had to keep working and didn't have any time. This continued from the beginning to the end of our visit. Once and never again. Feel free to gather your experience, I think on other evenings people are in a better mood and do their work better, but for us it's just one visit.

Unfortunately not at all enthusiastic about the store. The ambience is quite okay and the best thing about the place. Staff was friendly, but we had to wait forever for our order and bill (it wasn't full). Food was a disaster! Had a grill plate - chicken meat tasted okay, the rice was just not good (no idea what spice was used there), the potatoes were burnt. The food was pretty heavy on my stomach until the morning. Prices are still okay. So all in all, I can't understand the reviews with the best will in the world, there's just too much missing. I definitely can't recommend the restaurant more.

Absolutely disappointing! We had reserved a table a week in advance for a birthday party of 5, but when we arrived there were apparently no available tables. It was frustrating to see that other groups who had made reservations before us also had the same problem. Lack of professionalism and rudeness from the staff made an already frustrating experience even worse.

Unfortunately, our visit to Don Via yesterday was not a very pleasant experience. We had to wait a long time for our order to be taken, then we waited about 30 minutes for a drink and a total of about 1.5 hours for our food. We were compensated for the waiting time with dessert on the house. So that's balanced. However, I have the following criticisms that were simply not ok, which is why we definitely won't be coming back and won't recommend the restaurant: - My mother came a few minutes later. When she went in she was literally asked in a rude tone whether she had made a reservation. She then explained that we were already sitting at our reserved table and that she was part of it. Only another unkind comment followed. Is this how you want to greet your guests? - After our food came after 1.5 hours, the grill plate was basically cold. Only the zucchini was warm, the steak was lukewarm, everything else was cold (rice, potatoes). My falafel wrap was the worst I've ever eaten. Bitter and not spicy at all. The falafel itself wasn't good either. But it was warm because it was in the contact grill. Unfortunately, the (iceberg?) lettuce in the wrap was completely wilted and warm. Not a nice, fresh experience. -But what made the difference: We were sitting at the bottom under the stairs. A waitress tripped on the stairs and dropped plates of cleared food. Some leftover food fell on us and all around us. Nobody came to check whether everything was ok with us, nobody came to check whether we had anything and - throughout the evening, the leftover food that was spread around our table was simply not cleaned up! It was truly an incredible experience and I really regret that we didn't just get up and leave like the table next to us. It was one of the worst restaurant visits I've had in a long time. Unfortunately, I can't understand the positive reviews at all. Never again.

From the outside the store looks very nice. Once inside, we were seated as a couple at a table between several groups. I found it extremely inappropriate because in the online reservation you could add information about the occasion and for us it was the anniversary. So we asked if we could go to another table, for example the one behind us. The waiter then said that this was only for 3 people, then we were taken to another table that was shaking and looked completely different to the rest of the furniture, probably Ikea or something. Food was quite okay. In the end we sat with empty glasses for 30 minutes and no waiter made any attempt to come to us during that time. When we went out we discovered that there was only one couple sitting at the table for three. Accordingly, I wouldn't go there again because the service is terrible. Great anniversary experience.

Von außen sieht der Laden sehr schön aus. Drinnen angekommen wurden wir als Pärchen an einen Tisch zwischen mehreren Gruppen gesetzt. Fand ich extrem unpassend da in der Onlinereservierung man Angaben zum Anlass hinzuschreiben konnte und bei uns war es eben der Jahrestag. Haben deshalb dann auch gefragt, ob wir an einen anderen Tisch können, zB den hinter uns. Daraufhin meinte der Kellner, dass dies nur für 3 Leute sei, dann wurden wir doch noch an einen anderen Tisch gebracht, der wackelte und komplett anders wie die restliche Einrichtung aussah, wahrscheinlich Ikea oder so. Essen war ganz okay. Wir saßen dann am Ende 30 min vor leeren Gläsern und kein Kellner machte in der Zeit die Anstalten zu uns zu kommen. Beim Rausgehen mussten wir dann feststellen, dass an dem Tisch für „Drei“ dann doch nur ein Pärchen saß. Dementsprechend würde ich dort nicht mehr hingehen, da der Service unter aller Sau ist. Tolles Erlebnis am Jahrestag.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Das Essen ist sehr gut zubereitet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Insgesamt ein sehr guter Abend dort gehabt.

The cocktail drinking experience at Don Via Restaurant Stuttgart was average. The service was partially motivated and also partially friendly. The cocktails tasted okay, but nothing special. Overall an average experience for a relaxed evening drinking cocktails.

If you reserve in time, you are sure to get a place. The service is friendly and quick. If it's full, it may take a while for the food to arrive. The wait is worth it because the food is delicious. The pizzas are decently sized and well topped. For Stuttgart conditions, the prices are absolutely fine.

We had reserved a table by phone and were then sat outside in the cold in the evening. The employee said we could go in if something became available and she turned on the heater. Shortly afterwards another employee came to our table and we told her again that it was very cold and that we had made a special reservation. She promised to check again to see if there was anything free inside and told us that the heater at our table wasn't working. Then she didn't come back - after waiting 15-20 minutes we left the restaurant shivering without ordering anything.

Das Restaurant ist schön und modern eingerichtet und das Essen ist nicht schlecht. Jedoch ist der Service mehr als überfordert, Wartezeiten über eine Stunde und einige wütende Gäste haben das Lokal aufgrund der langen Wartezeiten vorzeitig verlassen. Die beiden Tische drinnen, neben dem Eingang sind eine Frechheit. Unbedingt bei der Reservierung beachten, dass man einen Tisch weiter drinnen im Restaurant bekommt. Denn ansonsten hat man echt einen unangenehmen Durchgangstisch an dem alle Neuankömmlinge stehen bleiben da es keine richtige Rezeption gibt. Zudem ist die Tür dauerhaft auf weil die Kellner mit dem Tablett durch müssen, was weniger schlimm wäre wenn sie den Kunden verbieten würden direkt neben dem Eingang zu rauchen. Denn der Hochtisch direkt am Eingang wird als Raucherspot missbraucht was dazu führt, dass der Rauch rein zieht.

Very nice and modern restaurant. The pizza was by far the best I've eaten in a long time. Food came quickly and was great. The waitresses were very nice and accommodating... We'd love to come back!!!

Very nice and stylish restaurant in a prime location. The food was solid, the cocktails and sodas were delicious. Unfortunately, the gentleman at service wasn't very friendly and always took quite a long time, even though we were the only guests in the restaurant half the time (early Monday evening).

Service is too long + the waiter was showing insistent expectation for tip which honestly was not deserved at all.

A nice little restaurant/bar in downtown Stuttgart. We had a whiskey sour and mojito. They were solid, but nothing more. Prices are fair. The atmosphere is a little stiff, without being classical. Service is average in terms of speed and friendliness.

When I come to Stuttgart, I always eat at Don Via. This is my favorite restaurant with a very beautiful atmosphere and very tasty food! The service is also top notch! There is a summer terrace where you can relax with delicious wine or ice cream. I recommend!

We were there on a Saturday. The ambience is not particularly inviting and the menu is not entirely clear in which direction it should go. The grill plates on offer are a successful idea, but the taste can be improved. Unfortunately we would have to wait 80 minutes for the food. wait and unfortunately the service wasn't great either. We wouldn't come back again.

Sehr angenehm dort. Samstag früher Abend, es war gut, dass wir einen Platz reserviert hatten. Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Karte nicht zu groß, genau die richtige Auswahlmöglichkeiten an Speisen und Getränken. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Kommen gerne wieder.

Despite a reservation, we couldn't get a seat and then they wanted to offer us a seat outside even though we had a 3-month-old baby with us...very disappointing

Simply cozy, very tasty and incredibly friendly. We were there around lunchtime. A great lunch special, everything your heart desires. From pizza, pasta to vegan/vegetarian but also meat and fish and oriental. Salads, wraps, everyone will find something here. We had 2 small children with us and they received a very warm welcome. The seating is comfortable. So an absolute tip. Certainly very comfortable in the evening.

We always have great promotions to order (2 for 1 etc.). They also taste really tasty.

Unfortunately, our visit to the “Don Via” restaurant on February 17th, for which we had made a reservation for eight people via OpenTable at 8 p.m., did not go as hoped. The anticipation of a cozy evening with friends was clouded by several aspects. First we had to wait 27 minutes before the service even noticed us and handed us the menus. This delay continued until finally our food wasn't served until 9:30pm - a full hour after we ordered. The quality of the beef salami dishes was particularly disappointing. Everyone in our group who chose this dish felt unwell afterwards, suggesting that the ingredients may not have been fresh. In addition to the disappointing food quality, the service was far from what you would expect in an established restaurant. The long wait for the menu and the food was never addressed or apologized for by the staff. In addition, the atmosphere in the restaurant was more tense than welcoming due to the tone among some employees, which further worsened the overall impression. We understand that things don't always go according to plan in the catering industry, but we hope that this feedback is taken as constructive criticism. There are many outstanding Italian restaurants in Stuttgart, and we are convinced that with a few improvements, Don Via can satisfy its guests.

LOTS OF AIR FOR UP Unfortunately, the service seemed extremely overwhelmed on Saturday late lunchtime - understandable. As I remember, there were four other people behind the bar and yet she was solely responsible for the dining room. After the order was taken it took at least half an hour for the food to be delivered. We waited another 10 minutes in total until everyone had received their cutlery so that we could enjoy the food while it was still somewhat warm. At my request, the drinks were served during the meal. The portions were very small and the price was gourmet. My gaze wandered to the surrounding guests who also felt the same way as us. No cutlery for eating and drinks only much later. Very disappointing and a shame as the ambience and furnishings are very stylish.

Food: OK, but not good enough for the price and far too little. Service: Horrible, food delivered before drinks and even before cutlery. Staff runs unnecessarily. Some staff don't work at all. The ambience is very nice, the only plus point but the least important thing when you go out to eat, I think. Not recommended. Doner around the corner is better.

Since my boss took me with her about 1-2 years ago, we have regularly had team dinners at DonVia, but we also come here privately at least once a week because we love the food here! The waiters are always very nice and the waiter today in particular was extremely personable and humorous - great staff at the place! We look forward to future visits and I recommend the Gamberetti Al Forno to everyone 😁

Great food, a bit chaotic but still...

The experience at Don Via was unfortunately unsatisfactory. The wait for the food was unusually long, and the quality of the pizza left a lot to be desired in terms of taste, especially with regard to the beef salami, the dough and the presumably inferior cheese. Service proved inattentive, with it taking 30 minutes before we even received a menu and another hour passing without any information or apology regarding the delayed order. The tone between some employees seemed unpleasant and unprofessional. Overall our Saturday evening was ruined. It is to be hoped that future visits and disappointments can be averted by this criticism. Stuttgart has great Italian cuisine, save yourself this experience!

Delicious food with lots of variation.

The mixable grill plate is perfect so that everyone can choose what they like. The service was attentive and very friendly. We will be back :-)

Wir hatten auf 19:00 Uhr einen Tisch reserviert. Leider mussten wir trotzdem 30 Minuten warten. Dann kam der Kellner weitere 30 Minuten später erst an unseren Platz. Wir hatten unsere Vorspeisen vor den Getränken. Ingesamt ist leider zu viel falsch gelaufen.

Unfortunately disappointing! We reserved online and specifically stated that we would get a table inside. However, we had to get out. The puny heating lamps don't help either. Unfriendly staff like waiting 1 hour for food is also added! Overall a 2/10 or whatever!

Leider hatte ich kürzlich ein Geschäftsessen im Don Via, bei dem wir an einen sehr kleinen Tisch im Keller platziert wurden, sehr nah an anderen Gästen. Die Kellnerin verschüttete Wasser, fragte dann unbeholfen, was zu tun sei. Der Rotwein schien verdünnt oder von minderer Qualität. Die Portionen sind geschrumpft, unzulänglich geworden. Zum Valentinstag erhielt meine Begleiterin eine verwelkte Rose, während andere Gäste frische bekamen. Kein Willkommensgetränk wurde uns angeboten, Personen hinter uns schon. Obwohl diese Details für mich nicht entscheidend sind, beeinträchtigten sie die Stimmung bei einem geschäftlichen Treffen erheblich. Das einst hervorragende Don Via kann ich nun weder geschäftlich noch privat empfehlen.

Really great place! Super nice service and really good food. The restaurant itself is really nicely decorated and the food came quickly. We'd love to come back.

Delicious food - whether pasta, pizza or fish. Everything has tasted very good so far, including starters and desserts. When there's a lot going on, it sometimes takes a while. Unfortunately, as everywhere, staff are scarce - but people are happy to wait for quality.

Large multi-level restaurant with outdoor sidewalk seating. There are nice seats by large windows facing the street. We had two Don Via Premium plates and found the individual composition of the individual components great. Everything was appetizingly prepared and tasted delicious too. Fair price. Very friendly service. Some stairs to the toilet. WiFi free of charge. Child friendly. Reservation via the website is easy.

I go to Don Via very often. Delicious food and great service especially the one with the Nike tshirt!! Always my pleasure
