Dolce Vita in Isny im Allgäu

One Sunday evening, I was craving an Italian-style flatbread. I used the internet to satisfy my craving. After completing my online order, I waited for a full hour. After an hour, my doorbell rang, and I went downstairs to meet the delivery man. He duly handed me my food. When I finally wanted to satisfy my craving for the said dish, I discovered that the pizza hadn't been sliced, so I had to quarter it with my own tools. After this act, I wanted to eat the product immediately, which I did. While I was munching on it, however, I was negatively affected by the consistency of the dough and the temperature. The dough resembled the texture of a tire from a motorized cab. Unfortunately, I wouldn't order pizza again, but I would order pasta, as it has always been delicious :)

Despite asking whether my pizza had South Tyrolean ham on it—which was confirmed with a yes—I got a pizza with spicy salami…

We had a strange experience. We arrived at the restaurant shortly before 2 p.m. Four tables outside were occupied. After asking the waiter, we were allowed to choose a free table. Unfortunately, the waiter didn't mention that the restaurant closes at 2 p.m. He dutifully took our drink order – and a little later, our food order. The drinks and food arrived quickly and almost simultaneously… and also the waiter's request to pay immediately, as the restaurant closes at 2 p.m. It would have been nice if the waiter had mentioned it right away, because some of the pasta was cold. We just managed to catch the waiter to have it reheated. The pizza was… let's say okay. Based on this experience, we won't be coming again. Taking €40 out of a customer's pocket in a hurry and then leaving them sitting alone in front of a locked door is – to put it politely – not customer-friendly.

We had a very good pizza at Dolce Vita, and the starters and aperitifs were also very tasty. The atmosphere is very cozy, and sitting outside in the city is also perfect.

Picked up takeaway food. It costs more to pick up the food yourself than from Lieferando. I don't like that. It tastes very good.

Dolce Vita used to be very good and popular. The service and quality have declined considerably. We've ordered several times now, but this is an absolute disaster. The food is cold, takes two hours to arrive, and 99% of the time the wrong dish arrives. The pizza is soggy, and the pasta portions are tiny and tasteless, and the price is really high. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this pizzeria (anymore).

The pizza tonno was very good and tasty, but the price was stable at €14. Prices are comparable to those in big cities! Charging €7 for a bag of salad with a few fresh cherry tomatoes is a bit excessive. The ambiance and service were fine. You can visit, but you don't have to.

A delightful Italian restaurant in Isny. The meat is delicious, the pasta and sauces are excellent. The desserts are also truly impressive. It's a place I love and always go to. I'd like to thank Mehmet and his team from the bottom of my heart. And I highly recommend it... 👍🏻

The four of us have been to this restaurant several times. We ordered two pizzas with asparagus, there wasn't a single asparagus on the pizza, instead the topping was wild garlic pesto and mozzarella. In response to the complaint, only the asparagus was placed on top. Now we complained again because the pizza was cold. I ordered rigatoni myself and it didn't taste like anything at all. The kitchen has deteriorated badly in recent years. But today was definitely the last time we were in the “restaurant”. The quality and service have only decreased each time. There are better things in Isny.

In the evening we had pizza, a pasta dish al forno and a side salad delivered to Maierhöfe (via Lieferando). It was confirmed in 1 hour and delivered after almost 2 hours. The pizza was at room temperature and the pasta dish was at most lukewarm. Since it was al forno, the cheese was already solid again, and the portion wasn't exactly generous for the price. As if that wasn't enough, there was a real gross motor skills at work on the side salad. The lettuce was accompanied by thumb-thick slices of cucumber and a halved tomato. It was definitely the last delivery from there for us. There are better ones in the area. I can't judge what the restaurant looks like.

Ordered 3 pizzas today with the information delivery time 30-45 minutes. The “pizzas” arrived after 1.5 hours. Unfortunately, all three were like rubber. I have no idea how long the pizzas had to wait before they were delivered. When we asked the restaurant by phone, we didn't get an answer and the "complaint" was, so to speak, ignored. We used to be there often and ordered more often. But today was definitely the last time for us in the “restaurant”. The quality and service have only decreased each time. There are better things in Isny.

The selection on the menu, but also the food, is convincing and conveys an authentic Italian feeling. The spaghetti ai vongole must be highlighted, which unfortunately is far too rarely found on the menu in this country.

Food would be good if it wasn't delivered 2 hours after ordering. Rigatoni was lukewarm, pizza cold. Given the prices, not okay. I was most annoyed with myself because we had a situation like this before and I ordered there again. But that was it once and for all.

We ordered food at 6 p.m. with delivery at 8 p.m. The food arrived almost 50 minutes later and only after we asked. The food was probably driven around in the car for an eternity. The salmon, chicken and potatoes in the salad were ice cold and so was the garlic bread and it was just like rubber. Pizza was still lukewarm. There was no apology or anything from the driver. I am very disappointed, especially since the food is more expensive than other delivery services and would certainly have been very tasty warm

Hello, We have now ordered twice within a very short time. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was delicious both times, but unfortunately one was cold and the other was lukewarm. Could be improved 😊

The server was really good. Had the lasagna, it tasted like nothing and was swimming in sauce.

When I felt hungry yesterday I decided to order there. The spaghetti with porcini mushrooms was so-so but still nice and hot. The lasagne was a disgrace, looked like cat food and tasted just wrong. I hope it was just an accident.

I cannot confirm some of the negative reviews here. There were four of us at dinner today. The pizzas were very good, the wine too and the service was quick, friendly and attentive. Price performance also fits. A clear recommendation from me. 👍🏻

Unfortunately, the delivery service is not recommended at all! I wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but unfortunately the circumstances still haven't changed. I ordered a Magerita, a lasagna and once foil spaghetti. The lasagna costs 13 euros and the bowl wasn't even half full, a disgrace considering the price. Of course the pizza was cold and rubbery again. The best thing is that you have to wait 1.5 hours for your order. I ordered there last time!

The meals were very tasty. Well prepared and simply a pleasure. Highly recommended. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the service. We were a group of 11 people and were served rather poorly. Very long waiting time for the food without any communication. Unfortunately unfriendly service. Well maybe she was having a bad day. Would come again because of the delicious food.

We are currently on vacation in Isny. My choice a lot on this pizzaria. We had two dogs with us and I called in advance to see if they could come with us. That wasn't a problem at all and water was provided straight away for our furry friends. Super super friendly and great food! 10 stars out of five - we felt really comfortable - thank you very much!!!

New review from October 2nd, 2024 Yesterday we were invited to eat here again at Dolce Vita and what can I say: It was GREAT! Best pizza in a long time. A decent amount of topping but not too much cheese, crispy and yet still soft - the dough even bubbled. The salad was also very tasty, as were the small rolls with it. We were all thrilled except for the person who ordered lasagna ;-) The service was quick, accurate and he was very friendly. Thank you very much - it's fun and we'll be happy to come back. Old review from 2022: Unfortunately very disappointed this time. Have 2 pizzas delivered within Isny. Pizza arrived on time, but cold. The bottom was extremely dry, not deliciously crispy or soft (only in the middle). We had pizza without cheese and then the tomato sauce was extremely cheap, almost no sauce at all. Actually there was just a bit of tomato sauce in the middle. A fresh roll with nothing on it really tastes better. And that at 10 euros per piece. The 1 star now goes to the mushrooms, which I think were relatively fresh - but they could have been more. So we're off then!

Tables not wiped or not cleared, even though there was little going on. Ordered a Bardolino. €6.20 Lam from the 1.5 l screw cap bottle. .. Was asked if I would like a glass of water with it. Appeared on the bill with €3.70, is it still okay? Pizza was warm not hot, the ingredients were very good. This restaurant has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with Italian flair. Mi dispiace!

You have to wait a very long time to order, the waiters are not attentive, the food is so-so, it’s not for everybody. I have no desire to visit this place again.

We waited over an hour for the pizzas and some of the pizzas had fewer ingredients than stated because it was “easier”. But the price was the same. However, pizzas taste very good!

Best Italian restaurant in the Allgäu

We went for lunch with four people without a reservation and got a table without any problems. The food is very good and the service was very friendly. We would love to come back here.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about here! We munched our way through the menu in 6 days and everything was delicious. Ambiance: we always sat outside with our dog, who always got kicky.

The three service guys were great Nice, courteous and on the ball. The food was excellent! Homemade and simply recommended!

I ordered a pizza and a small salad to be delivered. It took a good half an hour...but the pizza was there after just 25 minutes.👍 Unfortunately, the quality of the base was disappointing: soft, not a baked base. However, the topping was lush and the salad was also tasty.

Pizza was really hot, really tasty. Pizza was also delivered, unfortunately the driver didn't have any change with him. Very annoying for me. Yes, it's only 2 euros but that's not how you treat customers. And then to say yes I have to clarify it with the Cehf. So sorry, is it my fault as a customer for not having change? I find it more like cheeky. Tips will simply be withheld.

Lecker Bruschetta sehr gut belegt, das Brot hätte etwas angeröstet besser geschmeckt und hätte die Flüssigkeit nicht so aufgesogen.

Die Pizzen waren spitze. Vor allem sollte hier der sehr gute Service hervorgehoben werden. Es wurden alle Sonderwünsche berücksichtigt. Auch das glutenfreie Angebot ist hervorragend. Die Pasta (Gnocci) waren leider nicht nach unserem Geschmack. Trotzdem definitiv eine Empfehlung, da auch hier die Preis/Leistung stimmt.

Das Essen, war sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Der Service war zwar freundlich, allerdings waren wir als Gäste ein wenig irritiert über das abkassieren, während wir noch am Essen waren, weil die Pizzeria "Mittagspause " gemacht hat. Mit dem Satz, das wir noch in Ruhe unser Essen und Trinken zu uns nehmen können, wurden die Türen geschlossen. Wir saßen noch vor dem Lokal in der Fußgängerzone. Irgendwie kam es uns wie ein Rausschmiss vor, halt vom Gefühl her.

Ich bin eigentlich immer gern ins Dolce Vita gegangen, aber leider ist das Niveau drastisch gesunken. Die Speisekarten sind ekelerregend schmantig. Die Pizza war OK. Der Wein war gut. Aber leider gibt es keine einzige vegane Speise...hallo 21. Jahrhundert. Echt traurig diese Entwicklung.

Wir waren hier bereits öfter zu Gast, sowohl zu zweit als auch mit Freunden und Familie. Das Essen (vor allem Pizza) war immer gut, der Service nichts besonderes, aber akzeptabel. Als wir uns jedoch neulich mit Freunden dort zum Essen treffen wollten (Tisch war 3 Tage im Voraus reserviert worden), fand in der Straße gerade ein "Feierabendmarkt" (kleiner Mottomarkt) statt. Alle Tische waren vergeben worden. Nachdem wir dem Personal im Restaurant mitgeteilt hatten, dass wir eine Reservierung hätten, wurden wir mit "Eine Minute noch" vertröstet. In den nächsten 20(!) Minuten standen wir wartend neben der Theke, während laufend Getränke zum mitnehmen an Laufkundschaft vom Markt verkauft wurden oder das Personal sich mit alten Bekannten unterhielt. Immer wenn wir einzelne Angestellte auf unsere Reservierung ansprachen sagte man uns, man würde nachsehen, danach sahen wir diejenige Person nie wieder. Nach einer halben Stunde sah sich ein Angestellter auf unsere Nachfrage hin tatsächlich nach einer Sitzmöglichkeit für uns um, kam dann jedoch mit der wenig hilfreichen Aussage zurück "Sobald der nächste Tisch frei wird". Sowohl die Tatsache, dass unsere Reservierung einfach ignoriert wurde, einfach weil gerade genug andere Kundschaft greifbar war, als auch der unprofessionelle Umgang mit der entstandenen Situation hat uns sehr enttäuscht, unser nächster Besuch hier wird mit Sicherheit nicht so bald stattfinden. Dementsprechend kann ich mir vielen anderen hier nur anschließen: Essen ist gut, Service/Organisation eine Katastrophe.

Vorweg: das Essen ist super. Aber der Service lässt extrem zu wünschen übrig. Alles dauert ewig. Karte bekommen, bis man dann bestellen kann, bis das Essen kommt. Man wird nicht gefragt, ob man noch etwas trinken möchte und eine Bedingung ist weit und breit nicht in Sicht. Die Bedienungen wissen nicht, ob man schon von jemand anderem bedient wurde oder nicht. Ein bisschen System täte dem Restaurant gut. Muss jeder selbst wissen, ob er so lange warten möchte.

Im Restaurant war der Service und das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis immer in Ordnung, die Lokalität ist empfehlenswert. Leider kränkelt es im Bereich des Lieferservices mit dem Zeitmanagement bzw. der Info auf Wartezeit. Ich hatte nun schon das zweite Mal diese Problematik. . Für mich leider im Lieferbereich nicht empfehlenswert.
