A nice way to eat out, but you should reserve earlier. A nice service. The beer is very good, the food is not top-notch, but not bad either. The prices are reasonable.

Staffs are friendly and Taste is ok. but for 14.50euro schnitzel has no salad?....also no ketchup served 😅 You cannot expect normal Biergarten because here is extremely quiet.

Price/performance/quantity just unfortunately bad, we had the Brauerschnitzel with bad potato salad (16.90 euros), the Brauerschnitzel were 2 small, thin normal schnitzels, potato soup (6.00 euros) only tasted like cream. We're not coming anymore.

A bit difficult to find but very cozy with a view of the brewery. Very good food at reasonable prices. It was very stormy on the day of our visit, unfortunately it threw the umbrella at our table, but luckily no one was injured. And we had already finished eating.😅

Spent an atmospheric, lovely evening with delicious food. On the way to Lake Maggiore from the Hamburg area we interrupted our journey due to the heat and snowed in this small town. Although all tables were reserved, we were allowed to sit at a table with a single gentleman. The conversation was so lively that we all sat together longer than planned. Nice evening in the Diestelhäuser Brauhaus with delicious house beers, otherwise we wouldn't have lasted so long :).

Unfortunately we were asked to move because they didn't want to walk that far. Good thing we got the last place in the sun. Some guests had to go inside despite the sunshine. And that in a beer garden. We actually really enjoy coming here, but this will probably be the last time. Too bad.

The food is good but a bit low for the prices.

It's been a long time since I've had such a good meal. Very clean and very modern furnishings. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. 100% recommended.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed by either the service or the food. The service staff were rude and didn't have a smile for their guests. The taste of the food was okay, but it wasn't a taste experience and the portions were entirely too small.

The taste of the food was good, but the portions weren't exactly generous. I was also hoping for a little more in terms of ambience for a brewery. The service was largely friendly, but could have been a little friendlier. All in all ok, but not outstanding.

Beer garden was almost empty everywhere Reserved signs were posted. No more kitchen at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.🤷 Tavern schnitzel with horseradish, was without horseradish taste on a large wooden plate, looked lost. The potato salad on the board was in the beer glass slipped around.(Loveless) Waiters, well... In this day and age not learned, a mess.

The service staff was so welcoming, even though the store was full to the brim. And we came in with our sweaty motorcycle clothes on…whatever. The food and especially the beer selection was brilliant... We'll definitely come back here.

I came to sit at the table at 8:28 PM. Unfortunately the kitchen is closed at 8:30 PM. But it's not yet 8:30 PM 🤷‍♂️. Still, I could only get a wurst salad, which is a bit of a shame after a hard day's work....... And then you see complete meals coming out of the kitchen that were served later than my wurstsalat 😡. A pity ..... Oooja, beer tasted good 👌

The food was more than just good, there was something for everyone and it was very tasty! Service was top, food and drinks arrived immediately after ordering. Light and cellar beer very very tasty! All around perfect visit, highly recommended

Good selection of beer and friendly service

The brewery restaurant is located directly at the beer supplier parking lot. After the beautiful one The destination of the 8 km long beer hike was the Distelhäuser Brauhaus. We were therefore thirsty and ordered the beers. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't adhere to the calibration rules for mine (0.3 l in a 0.2 l glass and significantly too little). When the complaint was made, about 5 ml (1 tbsp) was added - with grumbling without apology and still too little. With the unfriendliness of the staff, I lost my appetite for food. In my opinion, a slow food fan should at least make a better selection of staff. That was not correct service!

The food was sometimes too little for the price. The bratwurst with sauerkraut was little and the bratwurst was only briefly grilled and therefore almost cold. There was also not enough bread and when we asked for bread and mustard it simply took too long for supplies to arrive. It gave the impression that the service was overwhelmed. The service and quality urgently need to be worked on. Price-performance wasn't right here.

Modern brewery in a small town. There are around 5 different beers for €4.10/half each. The service was very competent and friendly. We had Märzen, dark beer, cellar beer, wheat beer and malt beer. All very good and tasty. Eating at the neighboring table also says very good. Be sure to stop off on the Tauber cycle path.

As always when we are in Tauberland, we visit the Distelhäuser Brauhaus. The restaurant doesn't yet have the right ambience, but the beer here tastes unique. During our visit last Sunday, we encountered stressed staff because the brewery had introduced an online reservation system that completely overwhelmed the service staff. This was particularly evident in long waiting times for space allocation. We think introducing an online reservation system in a brewery restaurant that should actually be cozy and rustic and where guests like to bring their beer is totally wrong. As long as this system is maintained, we will no longer enter the brewery restaurant. That's a shame, but you don't have to go along with every nonsense. Rupert J. Maier

The beer was good. Food is rather simple and too expensive.

Distelhäuser is a brewery that is not only known regionally. There is a brewery and restaurant on the factory premises in Distelhausen near Tauberbischofsheim, near the motorway. The beautifully furnished, cozy indoor area is not particularly large, but when the weather is nice there is a slightly larger outdoor area. The quality of the food is good to very good. However, the portions are not particularly large and are more in line with what you would expect from fine dining than from a brewery. Prices are reasonable and OK. Service very attentive and friendly. Recommended!

We spontaneously planned to go to the brewery restaurant for dinner. Were rudely rejected because all tables were supposedly already reserved. A seat at the counter would have been enough for us.

We were celebrating an 80th birthday. The small hall was very nice and cozy. The food was very tasty and the waitresses were friendly and attentive. We would celebrate there again at any time 👍😃

After we didn't get anything in Dittigheim, we called the brewery and asked about a reservation. We were very friendly given a table and received a very friendly welcome. The food and drinks were very good and reasonably priced. It wasn't the last time we were there. This location is a must on the next tour in the Taubertal.

A beautiful evening in the Distelhäuser Brauhaus; Beer tasting with 3-course menu, everything was delicious and I would highly recommend the restaurant for that reason alone. But the crowning glory is the service. Even though it was packed, you had the feeling that the service ladies only had one thing in mind: to fulfill EVERY wish of the guests. Thank you very much for that!

The “beer garden” and the brewery are located on the brewery’s premises. Of course it's not quite as romantic and idyllic as being under the trees in the countryside, but it's very interesting to see! There is a small playground with a climbing frame for children. Reservation was not required (Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m.). The menu was very varied and creative and significantly more "exciting" than the home-style standard. Everything tasted delicious and fresh and was very attractively presented. The prices were completely reasonable. The service responded friendly and quickly. The food also came to the table quickly. You can order a beer sample and try out the various Distelhäuser beer specialties. The dessert - rhubarb tiramisu with malt drink caramel sauce was also super good. Highly recommended - e.g. after a visit to the wildlife park in Bad Mergentheim.

Nice brewery restaurant with a daily changing menu. We received a warm and friendly welcome in our group and were served quickly. There were two small greetings from the kitchen One beer 0.1 at the reception A cup of soup for everyone as a starter. Food and all drinks were served quickly. However, there wasn't too much going on here during the week (although later all the tables were occupied). We have definitely decided to come here again in the summer.

We were there for a beer sommelier evening, hence the higher price. As expected, drinks (as many as you wanted) and the 4-course menu were flawless and super tasty. The thematic tour through the world of beer was also well designed and contained interesting knowledge about the art of brewing and everything that goes with it. Only one or two jokes that were told there could be taken for granted in this day and age.

Had the schnitzel with fried potatoes, 16.90 euros is a lot. 2 thin small schnitzels, dry fried potatoes. The knuckle was OK. Beer was delicious 😋 Tried the light country beer cellar beer. We wouldn't come back for food!

We had a very interesting tour of the brewery followed by a beer tasting and a snack. The whole thing developed into a very nice sociable evening. Thanks to Mr. Bauer and the entire team involved. Just great, thank you very much.

Great brewery in Franconia. Unfortunately the beer is regionally limited. So if you are near Tauberbischofsheim, you should drive to the brewery in Distelhausen and take something with you. The brewery also operates a restaurant. We weren't in it.

schönes Ausflugslokal, die uns spontan einen recht großen Tisch geben konnten, als wir während einer Wanderung im Taubertal Hunger hatten. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und schöne Brauerei-Speisen-Auswahl. Auch die Zöliakie-Leute in unserer Gruppe wurden kompetent bedient, was nach wie vor nicht Standard ist.

Das gut gelegene Distelhäuser Brauhaus ist eine echte Empfehlung wert. Neben dem tollen Brauhausambiente gibt es auch noch einen prima Service dazu. Es gibt einen Gruß von der Theke mit einem kleinen Biergläschen vom Winterbock und einen Gruß aus der Küche mit einem Obazdabrot. Das Essen gibt es frisch zubereitet. Schaut mal vorbei, es lohnt sich - nicht nur für Bierliebhaber 😁

Es war wenig auf dem Teller und es fehlte die würze. Die Ambiente ist sehr schön. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Wir hatten eine Radtour vom Vitalhotel König in Bad Mergentheim mit einem Schaltrad gemacht. Leider kamen wir eine Stunde vor der Öffnung des Brauhauses auf dem Gelände der Brauerei an. Die Bedienungen 2 freundliche Frauen waren total begeistert weil wir nicht mit einem E-Bike gefahren sind und boten uns 2 Biere unserer Wahl aufs Haus an. Wir waren total begeistert über soviel Gastfreundlichkeit.

De rondleiding was interessant, maar wel wat lang. Op een gegeven moment krijg je dorst als ze aldoor over dat biertje praten.

...Nein, ich war nicht vor Ort! 🤷, hatte aber die Gelegenheit das alkoholfreie Pils von Distelhäuser zu probieren... Selten so ein feines, einem "richtigen" Bier, geschmacklich in nichts nachstehend, genossen! Auf dem alkoholfreien Biermarkt ist ja so manch grausliger Tropfen unterwegs, Distelhäuser hebt sich hier komplett ab! Ein dickes Lob! Weiter so!

Top Führung bei der so viel chemischen Details erzählt wurden, das hatte ich noch nie. Die Dame hat sich so richtig Zeit genommen. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Leckere Speisen und das gute Distelhäuser Bier, schneller Service: meine Bratwürste mit Sauerkraut schmeckten, wie die anderen Gerichte auch! Gegenüber eine Mariensäule aus dem Rokoko - gute Brauhaus Tradition, die überzeugt: die Portionen waren mengenmäßig gerade richtig!

Habe das Tagesessen genossen, war eine Kartoffelsuppe mit Apfeldooz, sehr lecker. Der Service war freundlich und sehr aufmerksam - war nicht das letztemal dort.

Ganz spontan kehrten wir relativ spät abends nach einem Fußballspiel hier zu dritt ein. Wir bekamen ohne Reservierung einen Tisch und wurden prompt bedient. Ruckzuck wurde unsere Bestellung aufgenommen. Und es dauerte auch nicht lange, bis Speis und Trank geliefert wurden. Sehr lecker, sowohl Essen als auch das Bier und alles in einer sehr gepflegten Atmosphäre... 👍🏻

Hervorragende Küche, höchste Qualität, absolut frisch zubereitete Speisen. Das Brauhaus Team erfüllt von Anbeginn seine eigenen hohen Ansprüche an regionale und saisonale Zutaten. Ich esse hier bei jedem Aufenthalt in TBB und bleibe ein treuer Gast, denn es ist eines der allerbesten Gasthäuser im ganzen Taubertal. Nicht zuletzt wegen der feinen Biere die hier gebraut werden. Ich nehme immer einen Kasten mit in meine zweite Heimat Frankfurt a. M. und empfehle die Distelhäuser in meinem Freundeskreis. Danke! Weiter so!

Beim ersten Anruf würde mir mitgeteilt dass ich jetzt (12:30 Uhr) keinen Tisch für den Abend bestellen könne da momentan zuviel los sei... 15 Uhr erneut angerufen die Dame hat Namen, Personenzahl und meine Telefonnummer aufgeschrieben. 18 Uhr Vorort wusste niemand von unserer Reservierung. ..... Über 20 Minuten am Tisch gewartet dann habe ich mir selbst eine Speisekarte geholt. Weite 10 min später dürften wir Getränke bestellen. Bis hier wäre es eine unterirdische Bewertung geworden. Aber eine sehr nette Dame im Service welche alle meine nervigen Fragen ( Herkunft des Fleisches, Brauarten, unterschiede ...) Hervorragend beantworten konnte, hat es verdient eine gute Bewertung zu bekommen. Dazu das wirklich leckere Essen welches dann nur noch gut 20 Minuten Zeit genommen hatte bis es an unserem Tisch angekommen war. Hoffentlich nächste Mal besser organisiert.

Wir haben hier ein Bier getrunken auf die Außenterasse. Super location, einfach auf dem Betriebsgelände. Wenn Ich wieder in die nähe bin werde Ich nochmal anhalten.

Speiseangebot weit über dem üblichen Brauhaus-Niveau. Alles in sehr guter Qualität, mit Kreativität. Seeehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
