The food was good and plentiful.

We received a warm welcome and were shown to a table. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious :)

This was by far the worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. I was aware that as a vegan, I couldn't expect much from a Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, there was nothing on the menu that the server said could be changed, so they offered me a baked potato with vegetables. I enjoy potatoes with vegetables, but an overcooked potato with a handful of reheated, unseasoned frozen vegetables, without any oil, for €16.90 is simply unacceptable. A small suggestion: frying a few onions and adding them to the potato would have made many vegans happy.

I love gyros in Metaxa sauce; I've been ordering it at Greek restaurants for over 20 years. At Dionysos, we were served sliced ​​pork in meat juices, which was passed off as Metaxa sauce. I've never had anything so tasteless in a restaurant before, not even cream sauce or anything like that. My husband ate both of our plates out of sheer hunger.

The restaurant offers good food at a relatively reasonable price. The service is good, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We also ordered some Metaxa sauce with our meal. If you often order Metaxa sauce at Greek restaurants, or like gyros with Metaxa, you should probably avoid it here. It's nothing like it. The consistency and taste are more like a sauce from a packet. We left it. But that's just our opinion of the sauce! If you want to go to the smoking area or the restroom, you use the stairs upstairs. The stair railing is stuck to the handrail. That's not ideal. The decor is a bit dated, but still okay and cozy. We give it 4 out of 5 stars.

A very friendly welcome! We were immediately given a table of our choice, and with our two dogs, it was no problem at all. They even provided a water bowl. We started with a salad, and shortly after, the hot, delicious, and generous portions of gyros and mixed grill were served. The seasoning was good, not too strong, with medium-spicy red onions. The large fries were probably homemade – excellent! 👌 The staff was very attentive to us and the other guests. We were completely satisfied, and to finish, we were offered a choice of ouzo or coffee and cookies. It couldn't have been better! 10 out of 10. We were in Lübeck for a client meeting and were craving Greek food. We ordered the "66," a grilled platter for two. The liver was green, the fries had been in the fryer too long, the rice was bland, and the meat itself tasted old and dry. The salad was dressed with a packet of dressing. The ambiance was also last updated in the 70s/80s. What a shame.

We were surprised by the reasonable price, but the portion was rather small. We would also like to point out that we don't think it's appropriate for guests to be reminded or instructed to carry cash.

Stopped by at noon. Dry meat, reheated mousaka. Not the best Greek restaurant we've ever had.

The restaurant has fantastic staff and delicious food. We come every year on our way home to Sweden.

The lunch special is highly recommended, although they could have done a bit better with the tzatziki. Otherwise, it's very tasty.

I went there with a friend around 2 p.m. on August 9th. We opted for the classic gyros with cheese (€14.90) and the gyros with cheese and Metaxa sauce (€16.50). Unfortunately, we couldn't tell the difference in taste. Why did my meal cost €1.60 more? We couldn't understand why. Nevertheless, we both enjoyed it, and the salad that came with it as an appetizer was fresh and delicious. The fries that came with the portion were also very good (large, thick fries; rice would have been an alternative). Overall, a decent portion for the price, which we both just about managed. There was no ouzo, but I would have declined that anyway given the temperatures during the day. In the end, the "bill" written by hand on paper irritated us. Our meal and drinks would have cost €41.10 (small Duckstein €3.90, large Duckstein €5.80) together, but we were charged €44.10, even though everything was correctly listed on the bill. So, obviously, there was a miscalculation. We only noticed this afterward, but since tipping would have matched what we gave anyway, it was still fine for us. It can happen to anyone. But doing the math can generally be worthwhile for the guest. Otherwise, the service was very friendly and courteous. And the "tiled side rooms" of the establishment, i.e., the restrooms—I can only speak for those for the men of creation—were clean and well-maintained and absolutely didn't smell of the usual odors. I've had worse experiences at larger restaurants. All in all, a very nice restaurant where you can sit outside and at very reasonable prices. I was really surprised, because I expected to spend more money in that area due to tourism and other factors. I'd happily go back, but with a different dish and a better eye for the bill. ;-)

The food was delicious. It was a good value for money. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'll be back next time we're in Lübeck.

Highly recommended – Greek hospitality at its finest! We visited Dionisos in Lübeck with our young daughter – and what can we say: We felt completely at home and welcomed from the very first moment! The welcome was incredibly warm and friendly, as if we were coming home to good friends. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting, just like the entire team. We would particularly like to emphasize the exceptional child-friendliness – our daughter was not only warmly greeted, but also lovingly cared for. It's not a given to be welcomed so warmly as a family with a small child, but here you can feel that hospitality is not just a word, but a living tradition. The food was – as expected – excellent. Authentic Greek, prepared with love, and every dish was a delight. We will definitely be back and can warmly recommend Dionisos to every family (and of course to all other lovers of Greek cuisine). Thank you for this wonderful surprise!

Bifteki baked with cheese, rice, salad, sheep's cheese cream as a starter. The taste was okay, the service was Nordic cool. Toilets are on the first floor and there is also a smoking area.

We visited here again with our Netwalking regulars' table on Friday, March 28th. However, unregistered participants spontaneously arrived. The boss quickly added another table and took the orders very organized and quickly. The waiting time was bridged very well with the drinks and side salads etc. that were ordered first. Although there were 22 of us in total (instead of 15 registered), we had our very tasty meal pretty much at the same time. The drink service also went very well after the meal. Thank you very much for that. I can highly recommend the restaurant if you want down-to-earth, delicious food. In short: good service, tasty food, good value for money

I can't recommend it. Cheese is barely gratinated, so it sticks liquid-solid. The sauce tastes like nothing and seems far too watery.

I give an extra star for trust. It was Sunday evening, around 9pm. around here they are already ready to go home. Anyway, attentive service from the ladies but the quality of the food was hit or miss. Pretty much everything tasted the same, from the Gyros, to the Moussaka, from the grilled liver to the lamb cutlets. Everything the same. He knew little. Come on gentlemen, we can and must do better. It's always nice to experience a little break from the stressful everyday work routine here. Maria and her team are always very hospitable and strive to fulfill their guests' wishes. The food tastes better here than in any other Greek restaurant. And we've already been through a few of them. Definitely a recommendation.

The food was cold at first. Then I had to order again so that the food was warm. However, complications arose as I ordered rice but received something else. Then it took another few minutes for the rice to arrive. The restaurant itself is nicely built. The service was relatively friendly but a bit stressful, which was probably because there was a lot going on.

Unfortunately we didn't eat that well here. On a board outside the door, the lunch dish was "Gyros Offered with Metaxa sauce. We were very disappointed with the taste - namely none. The meat was cut into small pieces and was swimming in a thin, bland sauce. No trace of spices. The salad wasn't dressed with oil and vinegar either, just water. You could then season yourself with salt and pepper, which were in glasses on the table, which was already done several times at the next table. It's a shame, we were so focused on this distinctive, otherwise usual, Gyros meat Taste pleased. The price-performance ratio was definitely not right here. We actually only liked the wine.

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. There were large pieces of cartilage in the two biftekis we were served. The whole thing was “baked” with cheap cheese that didn’t even melt under the single slice of tomato. The whole dish was only lukewarm and absolutely carelessly prepared. To top it all off, we both had to go to the toilet very quickly after eating it.

Out of “embarrassment” I stopped at Dionisios, I actually wanted to go to the Italian restaurant opposite... The lunch - on Saturday - was MEGA. The service was super attentive and friendly, the food was really good! Many regular guests who ordered: As always! Recommendation with a clear conscience.

It's just wonderful to be in this Greek restaurant that I've known since I was a child. The nostalgic atmosphere brings back so many wonderful memories. Today I enjoyed the Giro plate with fries, accompanied by their delicious house beer. Each bite was like a trip back in time, a feast of flavors that warmed my heart. The friendly service and authentic Greek cuisine make this restaurant a special place that I enjoy visiting again and again.

I always thought you couldn't go wrong with Greek, it tastes pretty much the same everywhere. Unfortunately, this restaurant is an inglorious exception. Three of us ate here and we all agreed. We've never had such bad Greek food before 🙁

Für mich eines der besten griechischen Restaurants in der Lübecker Altstadt. Herzliches Personal und immer leckeres Essen. Zuletzt hatten wir die Platte für 2 Personen, sowas von lecker. Auch die Vorspeisen und das Gyros ist sehr zu empfehlen. Da das Restaurant nicht so groß ist, empfehle ich zu reservieren.

Wir haben spontan einen Tisch bekommen. Sehr nettes Personal und Gerichte Speisen wie man es kennt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Freundliche Bedienung und die Getränke + Essen kommen recht schnell. Der Laden scheint gut organisiert zu sein 😊. Mit dem Essen…. - Ne, leider nicht so 😔. Nicht schön angerichtet ( obwohl es schmecken könnte/ leider ißt das Auge 👁️ aber mit) Und what ! Warum wird der Vorspeisen Salat mit dem Essen serviert 🤪? Restaurant hat etwas von einem Bahnhof Restaurant 😟. Tische stehen eng beieinander, so dass man keine Privatsphäre hat. Fazit: kein Restaurant, wo man ein zweites Getränk bestellt 🥸

Wir haben bei Sonnenschein draußen gesessen und das Essen genossen. Die Preise sind angemessen und nicht überzogen; lediglich die gebratenen Garnelen mit Metaxasoße sind 10 bis 20 Prozent überzogen.

Klein aber fein,gibt aber leider nach dem Essen keinen Ouzo

Gyros war nicht das beste aber okay etwas überwürzt, dafür fehlte dem Reis die Gewürze. Fleischspies war lecker.

Frygtelig mad. Fik Moussaka og lammeribben. I Moussaka virkede kødet grynet og gammelt. Øverst var noget der lignede en æggestand, men den smagte nærmest af kagecreme. Ribben var seje og næsten ikke til at skære over, selv når de talrige sener var fjernet.

Vollkommen zufrieden! Wir durften sogar unsere Hunde mitnehmen!

Ein extrem guter Service! Man ist auf meine Extrawünsche sofort eingegangen. Ich habe das Essen zum Mitnehmen geordert und sogar ein Glas Wasser in der Wartezeit erhalten. Sehr aufmerksam! Das Zaziki mit der Leber war sehr lecker. Der griechische Salat hätte noch ein wenig mehr Feta haben können. Kann ich empfehlen!

While we were looking at the menu, the lady serving tried to push drinkables on us, as to catch us. After we ordered, she came with an seemingly opened halfbottle of the wine we ordered a full bottle. On next try she came with a full bottle, wrong wine and cork removed! The contents was a sweet, disgusting wine, barely drinkable except for the alcohol. By now we should have left, but were instead served our dishes which looked quite similar. After a while, we understood the lady had mixed them. Not that it mattered much. The best was the tzaziki and the salad, but as an other contributor writes; " den Salat, der hat mit Cocktailsauce nichts mit Griechenland zu tun". Finally we had to pay in cash. She should have told us before pushing the drinkables. Don't You ever think this has anything to do with Greek food — like it might have tasted on one of Your visits there — except for the bill.

Die Speisen und Getränke sind gut. Die Portion könnte etwas größer sein. Aber der Geschmack zählt! Oben ist sogar ein Raucherabteil!!

Mit einem hervorragenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis kann man hier lecker in Lübeck griechisch essen. Wir hatten die Bohnensuppe und die gegrillten Auberginen und Zucchini mit einer Tomatensauce mit Knoblauch und Gewürzen als Vorspeisen und Gyros mit Pommes und einmal mit Tomatenreis und Salat als Hauptspeise. Dazu wurde jeweils Brot gereicht und auch gerne nach gereicht. Zum Gyros gab es Tsatsiki und alles war schmackhaft. Auch der offene und trockene Weißwein war gut. Zum Abschluss gab es einen Ouzo auf´s Haus. Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und man fühlte sich als Gast willkommen. Klare Empfehlung!

Der Mittagstisch ist gut und reichlich, das hat unsere Familie jetzt schon das 3.Mal erfahren. Sehr lecker, toller Salat, fairer Preis, nette Bedienung, gehen dort sehr gerne wieder hin!

Estuvimos en este restaurante mi esposa y yo en septiembre de 2019, buscando comida griega, en general la comida fue buena, el servicio no muy amable, la camarera no hablaba inglés, cometimos el error de no preguntar si aceptaban tarjeta de crédito y aunque yo creo que si lo hacen nos lo negaron así que tuvimos que pagar en efectivo cosa que no nos es muy agradable. Los precios son adecuados, la localización muy buena, el horario de servicio normal para la región.

Vi hadde et kjapt måltid her. Deilig gyros og hyggelig betjening. Tror eierne serverte selv, et hyggelig ektepar :-)

Herauszuheben ist die enorme Gastfreundschaft und Servicebereitschaft des Personals. Hier fühlt man sich gleich sehr wohl. Essen war in Ordnung, das Tzatziki super... Preise sind auch ok. Alles in Allem also durchaus einen Besuch wert.

Sehr nette Bedienung, findet noch ein Plätzchen, wenn doch so alles besetzt erscheint. Griechische Speisen bis auf den Salat, der hat mit Cocktailsauce nichts mit Griechenland zu tun. Das Ambiente eher mit Nippes sehr überfüllt - hinten im kahlen Stübchen kommt fast wieder griechische Stimmung auf. Klassisch die Ouzo's offeriert ... sehr sympathisch! Die Souvlaki mit Poulet wunderbar.
