Die Werkskantine in Frankfurt am Main

We were pushed to take business menu which cost us 70 eur for person without dessert and only one glass of water. We were not allowed not to order the starters 15 eur per person, which for sure was nothing special. We were informed that the starters were prepared in advance and we have no choice, though we never ordered anything in advance. We did not receive a receipt with a summary of the costs. Waiters seemed upset that we did not charge tips, repeating loudly the amounts. We left tip in cash though… Gnocchi tasted very normal for its price.

The service and the atmosphere is great. The service in particular is very child-friendly and brought over a box of painting supplies and games. The food was OK but had a bit too much salt for our taste.

Absolute taste explosion! The vegan burger was perfectly seasoned and a true symphony of flavors – juicy, full-flavored and made with fresh ingredients. The highlight at the end: the Kaiserschmarrn, which was simply heavenly with its fluffy consistency and slight sweetness. Friendly staff and a modern ambience complete the experience.

The Sunday roast was delicious and the service was extremely friendly

We had a family celebration with 16 people, we felt very comfortable, great professional service, very tasty food and the matching drinks were simply great. Can only be recommended 👍 We'll be back.

A very atmospheric restaurant with a name that confuses many people. The company canteen is located on the premises of a former factory. Delicious steaks and unforgettable desserts, the flavors of which are enhanced with good wine.

The factory lantine is perfect for everyday needs. There is a daily special for lunch every weekday and the menu offers a variety of carefully selected dishes. A large selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks complete the offer! The ambience is also reminiscent of a (high-quality) factory canteen, although I would rather use the term “restaurant” here, as canteens usually do not have such a stylish ambience…

Ended up there by chance (more or less). Cool location, racing paddock atmosphere, great facility! The service was absolutely exemplary - fast and in a good mood! We also brought hot water etc. for our little one, almost a year old. I can really recommend it! We sat inside (temperature) but also outside and made the winter garden very comfortable! Beautiful Valckenberg sparkling wine, delicious hand cheese with red music, gravlax with rösti, shrimps in a spicy marinade. Everything was very tasty, with good jazz music in a classic city atmosphere. You just have to like the many cars.

This evening we were celebrating a 35th company anniversary with 9 colleagues and chose the beautiful rooms of the company canteen in Frankfurt's classic city. An impressive building with incredibly valuable vintage cars and sports cars. The clinker brick building in industrial style offers plenty of space for group and family celebrations. After an aperitif, we had the Frankfurt starter platter with various typical Hessian specialties to share, including hand cheese and semolina sauce as well as tarte flambée and graved salmon with mustard sauce. We ordered the main courses individually. There was e.g. B.vegan burger, colorful green bowl and tagliatelle in creamy wild mushroom cream sauce. Everything was very tasty and appetizingly prepared. The loving and attentive service from the dream team Pero and Kenni made our special evening an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended! Thank you very much and we will definitely come back to the next anniversary dinner.

The location of the restaurant is simply something very special! A highlight for young and old! This time we sat on the terrace in wonderful weather and although there were two coaches with Asian car enthusiasts, we were offered perfect service! The changing seasonal dishes are worth mentioning. Tastes great and freshly prepared! Highly recommended!

A nice place that we enjoyed going to regularly. UNTIL TODAY 9/8/24! I have NEVER experienced such behavior as a customer and guest! Stopping here spontaneously is probably no longer welcome! Without a reservation, we were immediately told the original sound in an unfriendly manner "If it were up to me, I wouldn't give you a place" and, if we know that we're coming, we should make a reservation because he would have sent employees home now... That was definitely the last visit! Drink a coffee and eat cake and let yourself be fooled beforehand!? No way, I won't leave another cent in the factory canteen! All other employees are very polite and courteous. The quality was always very good. What a shame!!

Works canteen. Yes, what can you say: Canteen is really technically good, well located, but the waiter who was there today on September 1st at lunchtime, not one of the young temporary workers but the one who was responsible for the outside area, should urgently complete another training course. Was at the table once to bring the menu and then went back with the order. When I read here about a “complex” filter process to “prepare” the tap water and it tastes like stale water containing lime, then even overfull bottles with a capacity of 750ml are not worth €6.80. Edit: I didn't know that something like this would come when I ordered a bottle of mineral water, maybe I should have looked better. Surely no one comes here to drink water, but rather cocktails, beer, wine or other things, but why do you add such ungodly margins to stale water, especially in summer. It's not even refrigerated; it's sitting inside at the bar, partly uncooled. Eating totally greasy convenience stuff, Viennese style schnitzel (pork) with spaetzle and chanterelles was so greasy, why do you do that? Especially with the temperatures. Maybe it has something to do with the weekend and no events that the service is so poor and the quality of the food leaves something to be desired, but I won't have a business lunch here anymore because I'll embarrass myself in front of friends and colleagues. Too bad. Oh right. Although there are disabled parking spaces, the restaurant is not barrier-free. The toilets on the upper floor should also be looked after throughout the day, there were towels hanging on the windows, 3 toilets weren't flushed or couldn't be used. Disgusting. Afterwards you leave with a bloated stomach, possibly from the flavor enhancers or whatever was wrong.

Delicious cuisine, the service okay - depending on who is there. Water prices are not fair. The factory canteen is not for a quiet evening - there is a lot of activity and background noise. The terrace is great, but we didn't manage to get a seat despite several attempts. Reservations would be good!

Great praise! Admittedly, quality has its price here, but I found the food really good and the service particularly attentive. We were guests with a group and had a small menu, but different requests could still be taken into account.

We ordered: 1) Matjesfilets „Hausfrauen Art“ - 18.5 € 2) Großer Frankfurter Marktsalat - 16.5 € 3) Green Fit „Veggi Bowl“ - 19.5 € 4) Original „Wiener“ Schnitzel vom Kalb - 29.5 € along with two types of lemonades and a tap beer. The service was quick, friendly, and decent. The food portions didn't quite match the price point. The Green Fit Veggie Bowl was nothing extraordinary and tasted too sweet with all its ingredients. The ambiance is super cool, set in an old industrial space surrounded by vintage car collections. A few more vegetarian or vegan options would be more appealing to the young, alternative crowd.

Super delicious food from start to finish, great starters, great steak and delicious Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. The service was also extremely friendly and attentive. We were there yesterday and it was a really nice evening and we were completely satisfied. Highly Recommended !!

The service is great... but today we had to wait a little longer at the entrance and otherwise we would have consumed even more drinks if we had been asked more often. We stopped for lunch. Amazing ambience, attentive service, cool decor. The food was 10/10. The kids tomato pasta was the best I’ve ever tried. I’d even order it myself next time 😀 we had the schnitzel, the tartar and the Leberkase. All of it was faultless. We’d definitely recommend this amazing place.

The waiter in a beige turtleneck sweater from Hugo Boss was very unfriendly and, with his casual manner, referred to an upscale target group. Our family no longer consumes anything here.

Overall it’s a great experience. Good is delicious. Service is super nice. The atmosphere is great. But why is there no baby changing station in the male toilette? Why does it have to be such a typical sexist thing? please change this! ASAP!

There were four of us and we had a really great evening! Everything was right. The food was excellent, high quality, well portioned and absolutely reasonable in price. The service (we were served by three nice gentlemen) was extremely nice, courteous and CHARMING! :) Thank you very much, at the end of the evening we all agreed that we had rarely been treated so hospitably. And the food was fine all around. We'd love to come back.

The factory canteen offers a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious coffee and cake. Unfortunately, the service left something to be desired as no one came to the table after the food was served. In addition, the Kaiserschmarren was very oily, so unfortunately I can't recommend it as it was.

We were here today with our colleagues and had a delicious meal. I really enjoyed the vegan burger. The ambience is also great!

Great location in an old factory hall, in summer also with a beautiful covered terrace, varied menu with large and small items, always a special daily offer, very tasty desserts. The classic for us is the real Wiener Schnitzel. The terrace is also heated in the evenings with radiant heaters.

Excellent upscale pub cuisine, deliciously prepared from fresh ingredients and brought to the guest's table by helpful and friendly service. The ambience in the over 100-year-old brick building of a former agricultural machinery factory, the corresponding interior and the view of the classic cars of the classic city make this location additionally special. We were warmly welcomed and felt completely at home. We will be back! 100 points!

We have been here again for a long time. The food was very tasty, the menu offers something for everyone. We had the Frankfurter Schnitzel, the vegan burger with fries and a starter salad. This location is unique. Cars from the heyday that remind me of my youth. The craftsmen who use their passion to prepare wonderful vehicles. This whets the appetite and joy of hospitality. Today we visited the classic city in Frankfurt am Main and I can only recommend every car lover to stop by there. One of the best restaurants in Frankfurt am Main, #Die Werkskantine#, is certainly particularly recommended. Discovered in the culinary magazine *Frankfurt goes out*, we can only agree with the very good recommendation of this magazine. The grilled ribs from the region were fried first-class, and the very well-seasoned sauerkraut as a side dish went very well. The mashed potato and pumpkin mash was delicious, but for me personally a little more seasoning would have been good. Tip from me, it would be interesting to refine the mashed potato pumpkin with a few drops of good pumpkin seed oil. My companion really enjoyed the excellent, fresh gratinated goat's cheese, it is certainly a special kind of pleasure, this dish with its small selection of salads is a real poem for the palate. We really had a very nice and enjoyable stay here. Very friendly service with natural friendliness. The homemade lemonades/citron and currant ginger are also fresh and very tasty😋. We will definitely come back. Great location! Great cuisine very good service!

Unsere Weihnachtsfeier hier war sehr gut. Essen, Service und Ambiente stimmen.

Traditionelle aber auch moderne Gerichte kann man hier finden - dazu auch eine gute saisonale Karte. Die Bedienung war schnell, superfreundlich, mit guten Getränketipps. Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden, beste Wahl abseits des Stadtzentrums!

Trotz vieler Reservierungen machte man es uns möglich, mit 2 Personen ein Essen zu genießen. Das Essen (Frankfurter Schnitzel) war bis ins Detail top. Wir haben seit langem in einem Restaurant nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Endlich ein Lokal, welches mit frischen Zutaten kocht. Der Service war ebenfalls genial. Das Ambiente ist für Autofans sehr schön und gelungen.. Der Dank dem gesamten Team. Wir kommen wieder.

Posto bello, curato e pieno di dettagli che ricordano l’anima del locale, mangiato bene e bevuto bene, però a parere mio prezzi esagerati antipasto di formaggio di capra lenticchie e insalata 16,50€ wow, acqua da 70 cl 6,80 fuori prezzo totalmente, incredible!!!

Heute wurde uns der Wintergarten empfohlen. Hintergrund eine größere Veranstaltung. Für uns kein Problem da man dort wunderbar die hereinfahrenden Fahrzeuge beobachten kann. Das Wiener Schnitzel sehr lecker. Die extra Portion Preiselbeeren kam prompt nach. Der Cappuccino im Nachgang so wie er sich gehört. Der Service pfiffig und trotz des Business gesprächig.

Sehr schönes Restaurant welches ein sehr interessantes Ambiente bietet. Cooler Service und eine Hervorragende Küche. Die Köche kochen mit Fingerspitzengefühl und sehr viel Liebe. Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und bietet sehr viel Vielfalt bei Speisen und Getränken in ungezwungener Atmosphäre. 2 Aussenterrassen. Sehr faires Preis/Leistungsverzeichnis.

Tolles Ambiente gegenüber dem Oldtimer Museum..Absolut authentisch

Coole location, prima geeignet sowohl für private als auch Business Anlässe. Übersichtliche, aber durchaus kreative Speisekarte mit einigen modern interpretierten Klassikern. Preise für Frankfurter Verhältnisse noch okay. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden durch die Klassikstadt auf dem gleichen Gelände. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Waren früher sehr oft in der Werkskantine, jetzt nach längerer Zeit mal wieder. War vom Essen echt sehr positiv überrascht. Als Vorspeise hatte ich den roten Handkäs mit Musik (sehr lecker) und dazu das gegrillte Rippchen. Auf den Punkt und sehr lecker - leider extrem durchwachsen. Was weniger gefällt ist Leitungswasser mit oder ohne Kohlensäure für 6,80 € für 0,75 Liter. Die Preise für das Essen sind angemessen. Aber die Enttäuschung kam zum Schluss. Nachdem wir bereits bezahlt haben, kam ein neuer Kellner zu uns am Tisch und fragte, ob wir noch einen kleinen Digestif möchten. Nur zwei von uns 5 haben sich "Übereden" lassen und haben einen ganz kleinen bestellt. Wir dachten das wäre eine nette Geste des Hauses (hatten auch 2 Flaschen Wein). Beim Verlassen der Terrasse wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass wir noch die 13,50€ für die beiden Schnäpse zu zahlen hätten. Für mich war es eine absolute Abzocke und man wird mich/uns dort nicht wieder sehen - eigentlich sehr schade!
