If you want a decent schnitzel, this is the place for you. The selection is fantastic. At the Schnitzelschmiede, I enjoyed an excellent veal schnitzel – crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy on the inside. The sweet potato fries were the perfect accompaniment: crispy, sweet, and just the right amount of seasoning. The service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy. A definite recommendation!

A really nice and rather “bourgeois” restaurant/restaurant. Since I was in the mood for schnitzel, I thought nothing could go wrong with the name “Schnitzelschmiede”! And that was the case! Had a schnitzel “Viennese style” (there were even 2!) + croquettes, one to take away please. And I'm more than full and it really tasted so good that I will definitely come back!!! So carry on as usual.😋😊

Went to the Schnitzelschmiede today. Enjoyed lumberjack veal schnitzel. Perfect with fried potatoes. It was worth a trip by bike from Giesenkirchen when it was minus 2 degrees. I'd love to come back soon.

Our schnitzels were delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. The vegan schnitzel alternative was very well received by our vegans and tasted really good too. We would come back at any time.

The food and service were very good. Unfortunately it was very cold. An additional heater was provided for us. Apparently this wasn't okay as it wasn't getting any warmer. All in all recommended.

Nach missglückter Tischreservierung woanders und vielen nutzlosen TelefonatenNach einem Ersatzrestaurant hatten wir tatsächlich letztendlich Glück im Unglück. Obwohl eigentlich noch gar nicht geöffnet war, wurde uns telefonisch ein Tisch, angeboten. Wunderschön geschmückt. Alle sehr freundlich. Das Essen reichlich, schön angerichtet und sehr lecker Preisleistung super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

The food came after 90 minutes. The delivery service was very friendly. After consultation, Köfte was delivered instead of Adana, but they looked like flat frozen citizen slices. The rice pan wasn't particularly Indian, but OK. The salad was rather small, little pineapple and ham but a lot of iceberg lettuce. The coleslaw tasted good. There were also fries that we hadn't even ordered. Overall it was okay, but maybe you should concentrate on what you can do, namely the schnitzels. At least I wouldn't place our order today again.

Ekelhaft...... essen bestellt um 18:20 Uhr um 19:30 kam das Essen also die schnitzel an, nach mehrmaligem nachfragen, der Gurkensalat wurde nicht mitgeliefert, aber abkassiert. Nach mehrmaligem nachfragen versprach man uns den Gurkensalat nachzuliefern. Dieser kam dann um 21 Uhr an und wollte dann noch extra bezahlt werden worauf wir sagten das alles bezahlt sei. Mega schlechter Lieferservice. Zu allem Übel befand sich im überbackenem schnitzel ein Graues Haar. Einfach widerlich und das war auch das letzte mal in diesem Laden.

The atmosphere was very pleasant and our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. The boss also took care of our satisfaction, which we really appreciated. A cool restaurant with its own charm!

After a break of many years, we had dinner at the Schnitzelschmiede again yesterday. Our order included a coleslaw, a cucumber salad, a Holstein-style pork schnitzel and a veal schnitzel with Balkan sauce. Finally there was a brownie for dessert. The service was very friendly and polite, the food came to our table very quickly and was also very tasty. The quality has not diminished at all. The portions were also very large, so one portion wasn't completely eaten and we took it with us. The hot brownie was also delicious. After the meal there is always a delicious nightcap. We were very satisfied and will definitely eat there again more often.

The ambience is deceptive. At first glance it's a quaint old pub, a bit dated. The food and service change everything. Main courses, side dishes were all great, had different tastes and nothing to complain about in terms of portion sizes, just delicious and plentiful! The side salads (had cucumber, cabbage and a mixed side salad) were all fresh, crunchy and tasted great. Great, warm service, very accommodating and great in dealing with our little daughter. We had a lovely evening. Ate very tasty, sat comfortably. All in all, very! recommended!

A very nice, rustic restaurant, the schnitzels were really crispy and super tasty. The service was also very attentive and friendly, even if something went wrong, it was taken care of immediately and everything was perfect again. I will come again, I really enjoyed it.

We (2 adults, 11 year old child) were in the Schnitzelschmiede for the first time. There is no typical counter area to approach someone. You linger in the entrance area and wait to be welcomed. Takes getting used to but OK. We chose a cordon bleu with fried potatoes, Jägerschnitzel and a schnitzel bar-style with fries. Positive: The food was warm and the sauces were all in a separate gravy boat. I think it's great when you can decide for yourself how much sauce you want and that way the schnitzel stays crispy. What I also like is that the schnitzels are offered in two different sizes. The lady from service was attentive and friendly. In terms of taste, the schnitzels alone can be rated positively. Negative: We are very disappointed with the sauces. Apparently none of the sauces are prepared in-house, they are all ready-made products. There are cans of mushrooms in the hunter sauce. It tastes like most sauces from a chip shop. The Balkan sauce tastes like Homann's finished sauce. Unfortunately, this “French fry” feeling runs through all the side dishes. Ketchup and mayo are served to us in small sachets. Service: As mentioned, we were there for the first time. Outside in the entrance area we saw that you can also pay by card. We noticed from our table neighbors that the card reader wasn't working. Our table neighbors were also only informed when paying that card payment was not possible. Unfortunately this was not advertised or mentioned when ordering. Conclusion: The schnitzel alone is good. Unfortunately, the side dishes are like most chip shops and the service is friendly, but there should be better communication regarding payment.

The restaurant was a real insider tip! Of particular note were the turkey schnitzel and pork schnitzel, both of which were excellently prepared. The meat was tender, juicy and breaded wonderfully crispy – simply a delight. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the start. The ambience also contributed to the cozy atmosphere: rustically furnished, with lots of wood and loving details, the restaurant seemed very inviting and authentic. Everything is just right here – the food, the service and the ambience. Absolutely recommended!

Went to you for the third time now and each time we ordered a different schnitzel and they were all very tasty, as was the salad, which is always crisp and fresh and with a delicious dressing. The side dishes, whether fries, croquettes, Fried potatoes, everything in sufficient quantities, we recommend the baked potato with homemade herb quark. We will definitely be back

It was quite OK. Nuggets were bland and overall lacked salt. Service was mixed: an older gentleman was unfortunately not competent, later a friendly and helpful lady came along...

We made a reservation with the fork, because of all the good reviews. The welcome was warm, told we had a reservation under my name and we could choose a table. Right after us a group of 6 arrived. After ordering the main dish, we needed to wait for about 25 min. They forgot that we ordered 2 big schnitzels and served a small portion. We tried to order another schnitzel, but it took quite some time for the waitress to notice that. After ordering, we ate the food that was already almost finished. Than the waiting started. The table next to us got their order and than they realized they forgot ours. Another 10 minutes later it arrived. We immediately ordered desserts. The brownie needed the chocolate sauce because it was quite dry. The tiramisu so had a lot of chocolate sauce, not what I expected. If you want a cheap dinner or snack, and don't mind waiting, a nice restaurant.

Since we discovered the Schnitzelschmiede a few years ago, we have only eaten schnitzel from the Schnitzelschmiede outside. The meat, no matter what type of meat, is always cooked to perfection, tasty and plentiful. .

Things used to be much better. The schnitzels were okay, my side dish was wrong and the correct one only came after I had already eaten my schnitzel with two breaks, despite reordering twice. Even my wife, who eats slowly, had already finished her meal. We were very disappointed. Don't eat there anymore.

Very last order, I was a regular customer and I paid different prices (once €11.90, then €12.90, again €11.90 and today €13.90) but still the same dish. I asked the driver why there were always different prices, he said he would clarify with his boss and it was new prices but I didn't believe him. I have the internet and catalog and it says €11.90. I was ripped off!!!

Looks like an old pub and the furnishings are also very old-fashioned. The schnitzels are very tasty and are available in many variations. We added sweet potatoes, which were also very tasty, and there was also a small pasta salad. The drinks took a while, we had the food first and then the drink.

A restaurant that seems rustic at first glance. Two of us were guests and enjoyed a 3-course menu. We were treated kindly and courteously from start to finish. I really enjoyed the meal and the hot brownie with ice cream at the end was an absolute highlight. The fries were delicious and I would also like to emphasize them. Price/performance ratio was absolutely fine, and I'm looking forward to trying the delivery service soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.
