Rarely have I felt so disruptive as a guest/customer. But only waited 20 (!) minutes for a cappuccino. And then the annoying guest also wants sugar. He can just say it. Eye rolling and sighing are definitely not part of the service. The service worker should look for another job. And then a snotty srin because the stupid guest doesn't give a tip. Well then: we certainly won't be eating anything here anymore and therefore won't be exploring any more furniture.

We'll be back - it's really nice on the roof terrace.

Had breakfast at the power plant. Basically tasty and fine. The bacon, however, was coal black in places. Service unfortunately quite inattentive. Long waiting times. Almost 40 minutes passed between the first order being taken and the drinks being served. Way too long for my taste. That's how it went on throughout the morning. Nevertheless, everyone was friendly and the food was tasty.

Everything is just right here. A lot of homemade food, attention to detail and the service is very attentive. You're welcome to keep it up!

I had the pleasure of having breakfast at The Kitchen in the Kraftwerk restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The breakfast on the roof terrace was simply fantastic. **Atmosphere:** The roof terrace offers a breathtaking view, making breakfast a special experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, perfect for a cozy start to the day. **Food:** The breakfast offering is varied and of high quality. Fresh rolls, a selection of cheese and cold cuts, fresh fruit and delicious egg dishes - there is something for every taste here. Particularly noteworthy are the homemade jams and freshly squeezed orange juice. **Service:** The service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive and always tried to fulfill the guests' every wish. You really feel welcome and in good hands here. **Conclusion:** A breakfast in the restaurant “Die Küche im Kraftwerk” is definitely recommended. The combination of delicious food, great service and the beautiful roof terrace makes it an unforgettable experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Great restaurant with excellent food. The ambience is very appealing and the roof terrace is certainly a dream, unfortunately it was raining during our visit. We thought the table we got was great because we could see into the kitchen and assess the food at the serving table. The service was perfect and very friendly. We even got dessert shortly before the end 👍👍

Unfortunately the kitchen is very inflexible! I came here specifically for a dish (10:45) and when I ordered I was told that the chef can only make it from 11:30. When I asked if the chef could make an exception, he politely said no... it's a shame ☹️ ... very inflexible

When the weather is good, the terrace is very nice. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The food is of high quality. Desserts can still be improved. Salads fantastic.

(Revisited in July 2024) Dinner course on the rooftop in summer The pleasant scenery was also a treat! ️ (February 2024 - first post indoors) A mysterious restaurant inside an interior furniture store building I got it on a pre-ordered course for a group, but it came out a little late. The food was very delicious, both main and dessert. I especially liked the fish (trout) I chose for the main dish as it went well with the sauce.

Very tasty food and a nice roof terrace. There is always something special, last time I had chanterelle bratwurst. It's more of a gourmet temple than a restaurant in a furniture store.

A well-thought-out menu and excellent purchasing of goods is counteracted here by an amateur game of disinterested holiday jobbers in the service. After breakfast stood under the heat lamp for so long until the sausage and cheese plate dried out, it only took a quarter of an hour to wave at a waiter and beg him to finally get cutlery. The hot drink was served after the waiter had waved it over three times (45 minutes). By the time the missing sugar and milk arrived, it had not been a hot drink for a long time. The bread basket never arrived. Further orders also had to be ordered three times and then arrived cold, very careful on such a hot day, especially with scrambled eggs. In order to protect the tables in the 3/4 empty location, nothing was cleared away for hours, which aesthetically completed the feeling of being at a used car dealer with the fluttering ribbons on the veranda. The plates at the neighboring table were even served espresso - the guests had already left half an hour ago. Anyone who feels mentally balanced in ZEN has a place of strength here to fight against it.

After over an hour there are still no drinks waiting. We've asked 5 times now and decided to go. Many other guests also leave the restaurant. The service is unacceptable.

I called specifically today to ask if they still had space for two people and I was assured of it. When we both arrived, we were told by a very overwhelmed and unfriendly service person that they were full and that we should leave. When I told her that I had called specifically to ask, she didn't care. Clearly untrained service staff, so I didn't learn how to deal with guests in my training! I recommend Hans im Glück up the street with top service :)

To charge 19€ for a goulash that is totally salty and tough like the sole of a shoe is a disgrace. Especially if the waitress passes it on to the kitchen and there is no response, that is really weak and says a lot. In general, everyone seems pretty arrogant. Unfortunately for me it's the last time.

Prices high, service unfortunately subpar

Delicious food and good views with a terrace. However, service was very slow and disorganized. After we were finished, no one came to clear up and we weren't asked if we wanted anything else. We also had to wait quite a long time to order.

The food was very tasty and also a lot. Good cheese. From the terrace you have a view of the Alps. Unfortunately the service leaves a bit to be desired. Waited 15 minutes to be able to order, no spoon for the muesli was brought until we asked. About an hour after we had finished eating, we were still sitting with the things that no one had cleared away.

The restaurant and the house are almost a sight. Restaurant you will find a wonderful roof terrace. The view over Munich is definitely worth seeing. The food has a vegetarian flavor and is very delicious. Service modern, eccentric but endearing. I can recommend the Caesar salad with goat cheese and chicken on the side. Lunch like this is not cheap.

I had dinner with friends twice in the evening - I can't say much negative about it. Good food, nice service. Today, however, I finally wanted to try breakfast/brunch on the roof terrace with my mother. Unfortunately it didn't come to that. Yes, we were 10 minutes (!) early, but the opening times weren't advertised at the bottom of the door and a nice "Hello, we're sorry but we're not open yet" would have been enough. At 10 minutes we could have been offered to go to the terrace and take a seat. Especially because the entire staff was already present. Unfortunately, we weren't even looked at, or rather were skillfully ignored. But then the staff noticed us because we could loudly follow the discussion about us. "How did they get in here? Well then they'll just have to wait." Thank you for not being there and for these kindnesses. I am aware that we were too early. But the opening times were not advertised and it was only 10 minutes. It's a shame, I won't come again.

Restaurant with great attitude and food, not the typical thing you find in the city.

The glass elevator takes you to the restaurant with roof terrace on the 4th floor. After closing time, take the side entrance to the furniture department store. The interiors of the restaurants and the product sales rooms are modern and attractively furnished. Of course the highlight is the roof terrace. The service is friendly and the food was very good and attractively prepared. In the evening the tables are set.

Here modern and excellent food meets great views and courteous service. It's not just worth visiting at the weekend for breakfast, you can also find a great sundowner here after work. A creative and high-quality kitchen with exceptional dishes such as truffle pasta. Simply elegant and fine in taste. Lovely again!!

We were there on a Sunday without making a reservation and got a seat on the terrace. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu has a good selection of breakfast and lunch options. The food was very good. Price-performance ratio is great.

First of all, the location is very nicely done, the view is wonderful. But: the service is completely uncoordinated, there are around 7 people walking around but everything takes forever. The first starter took over 30 minutes even though there was almost nothing going on. The second starter was completely forgotten and then arrived cold with the main course after almost 1.5 hours... a lunch for two people for over €80 with such service is kind of sad... oh, and in case you're wondering why there are so many tables Order breakfast “in the afternoon” at 2 p.m.. some cards only contain the breakfast menu. We noticed after we swapped cards three times and there happened to be a real card at the beginning... All in all, more than expandable!

It's a shame it ends like this. Good start, nice service, food quick and excellent! At the beginning we wanted to order dessert, it wasn't necessary, they said. Unfortunately, 30 minutes after the main course and patient waiting, nothing came, even though the neighboring table was served several times. A little magic phrase “if you had one more wish” would have rounded everything off with 5 stars. So you leave with a frustrated woman who was denied the hot chocolate cake.😫

Very good food, very original recipes that really inspire. Both the starter and the main course were outstanding and I can totally recommend it. The only thing I already told the waiter was that the sauce for the ravioli contains far too much fat, which destroys the taste of the ravioli. In addition, other dishes are really excellent and also very nicely served

Great restaurant for a long brunch with good friends

This restaurant is located above a furniture display center. The building itself is an old factory renovated, so you can take a stroll around, which is quite interesting. According to a local colleague in Munich, this restaurant will develop new dishes and is a new-style German restaurant. If you are tired of eating pig's feet in Germany, you can try this place.

The food is tasty, but a little more expensive and the portions are not particularly large. I would deduct 1 star just because of the price-quantity ratio. The drinks were also good. The service was friendly but unfortunately more busy talking to each other than actually doing their job 🫡

First of all: I am disappointed. After I was able to enjoy the cuisine in the summer, my last visit was quite sobering. I'll leave the food out here, there are hardly any objections to that. What is absolutely not possible is the service that I expect here when you spend around 50 EUR per person in the restaurant for one evening. It can't be the case that you reserve a table for 8 people for the evening, then have to wait half an hour until you are registered and can order your first drinks and then wait another good hour until you get your food Then, when ordering dessert, it is pointed out that the kitchen has already closed for 10 minutes and you are politely asked to leave. I understand the technical problems that apparently caused the delay, but not how to deal with them afterwards and certainly not for unexpectedly too many guests. You should be happy in the restaurant. But it's probably more problematic and undesirable here. Three friendly apologies don't help that in the end the evening was a disappointment and a return visit is no longer an option. I hope that the management here will coordinate with the service staff in the future about what to offer guests in such cases, or will point out possible canteen closures in good time. A drink on the house would probably have calmed the mood more - but unfortunately no one thought of that. It's a real shame how the work of good cuisine and the ambience is ruined with such an appearance.

We were guests in the Kare's kitchen for breakfast. It was ok, but won't be my favorite place for breakfast. The service was nice and attentive, but unfortunately far from good. Unfortunately, the processes in the entire concept are not smooth and take a very long time. Drinks and food arrive at the table lukewarm because no one can keep up. The quality of the food itself is TOP. The bread is amazing and extremely delicious! But all in all, the price-performance ratio doesn't quite match. There's still something going on, dear team :)

Everything perfect. Had a dry age steak - it was cooked to perfection and tender as butter. My wife's truffle noodles were also great. The service is very friendly and was always present. Ambience at its best anyway... We'd love to come back

Very snobbish, pretentious restaurant, the portions are shockingly small for the high prices, and the goulash tasted as if it had been frozen, which I don't think is acceptable for such a price range.

Food on Valentine's Day was great. The wine selection is excellent. The service was 1a.

I wanted to have a nice meal with my partner in front of the spa, but it was a complete disappointment. I had steak, it was totally dry, I've never eaten anything so bad, it was grilled vegetables that consisted of carrots and broccoli, which were just raw without salt. They didn't taste like anything. The carrot pieces were so big that I had to cut them again. And that for €28 + €5 for the vegetables. I've never experienced anything like that before - the carrots were so hard that you could hardly get them on the fork. For dessert there was chocolate soufflé which was hard on the inside, had no liquid core, was dry and had been in the oven for too long so that it was slightly burnt at the end. Super disappointing, I actually should have asked for the money back, but my evening was over and I was extremely served and disappointed and just wanted to leave. Afterwards I felt really bad and vomited because of the raw vegetables Charging outrageous prices like a 5-star restaurant and delivering something like that is a rip-off And the rooftop, well, is on the 4th of the 10th floor, so you don't see much of Munich there Trust me and don't go there under any circumstances, that was the first and last time, thank you for ruining my evening and charging €70 for a meal like that, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Optisch nette Location, aber schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Speisen-Qualität nicht überzeugend. 14,90€ für eine Vorspeise die aus einem trockenem Muffin (Quiche lt. Karte) mit kleiner Salatgarnitur besteht - selbst für Münchner Verhältnisse unangemessen. Wir kommen leider nicht wieder!

Wir waren spontan ohne Reservierung zum frühstücken dort. Der Cappuccino mit Hafermilch schmeckte leider nicht. Dafür waren das Kraftbrot und das Rührei sehr lecker und toll umgesetzt. Der Service war in Ordnung, ein bisschen mehr Aufmerksamkeit wäre nett gewesen. Es ist sicherlich noch schöner im Sommer aufgrund der Terrasse, aber auch so war die Aussicht von innen top.

Mini-Portionen für viel Geld… die Quiche hatte max. 5 cm Durchmesser, inkl. 3 Salatblättern und 3 Scheiben rote Beete … 15 € Brot zur Suppe kostet extra. Geschmacklich OK. Spaß macht das aber nicht. Schönes Ambiente. Nette Bedienung.

Update: 2023 Immer noch eine tolle Adresse, wenn man gut essen möchte Update 2022: Das neue Konzept geht meiner Meinung auf! Am 4.3 haben wir uns einen Secret Dinner gegönnt und wir sind begeistert! 8 Gänge mit Weinbegleitung, einmalige Ambiente, hervorragendes Service = unvergesslicher Abend! Das Cafe und die Küche fand ich Klasse auch wegen der Kinderecke...die ist aber jetzt fast weg...sehr klein ist die geworden und langweilig. Nur deswegen ein Stern weniger.

Da mein Hotel ein bisschen vom Schuss war, hatte ich die Befürchtung heute im Imbiss oder MC zu essen. Was für ein Highlight doch dann der Aufenthalt in diesem Restaurant letztendlich war, hat mich sehr gefreut. Perfekter Service und das dry aged steak mit Trüffel hat hervorragend geschmeckt

Sehr aufmerksame,freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Die nette Dame ging auf Individuelle Kundenwünsche ein.

Exclusive Lokalität, außergewöhnlich mit schönen Ausblicken. Die Kellner vom Fach und sehr erfrischend freundlich. Leider sind auch die Preise eher hochpreisig. Das Essen war ganz okay. Ich würde das Lokal im Sommer zu einem cocktail mit außergewöhnlichem Ausblick empfehlen!

Frühstück ok, Service leider nur mittelmäßig. Uns wurde anfangs sehr aufmerksam gleich Wasser angeboten, was leider trotz Erinnerung nie gekommen ist. (Stand später aber trotzdem auf der Rechnung) Croissants wurden auch vergessen. Dann kam noch ein falsches Getränk an den Tisch, das wir ablehnten, weil nicht bestellt, aber die Dame bestand darauf, dass es an unsere Tisch gehört. Alles in allem keine Empfehlung, zumal bestimmt alle gezielt dorthin fahren müssen.

Nette Leute, angenehmes Ambiente, gute Verköstigung, reichlich zu trinken und gute Loungemusic - alles hat gestimmt zur gestrigen Roof Top- Party. Die Mitarbeiter (Küchenmädels) waren sehr bemüht, alles so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Danke für die Einladung, Herr Reiter und Toto!

Ich war vor über einem Monat in Ihrem Restaurant zum Abendessen. Das Personal war bemüht, das Essen für Münchner Gastronomiebetriebe im Vergleich maximal mäßig - nicht schlecht, aber mäßig. Der Preis im Vergleich aber ordentlich - nicht zu teuer, aber für Münchner Gastronomiebetriebe ordentlich. Insgesamt macht Ihr Restaurant mit der ausgwählten Location einen ansprechenden Eindruck. So über den Dächern der Stadt, das ist ja vergleichbar vielleicht mit Restaurants, wie in der Printmedia-Akademie in Heidelberg, oder Andel's Loft 14 in Berlin. Leider wird daraus aber zu wenig gemacht. Das ganze Restaurant gleicht eher einer Mittagskantine, die Abends mehr möchte, als sie kann. Man merkt eben an allen Ecken, dass das gesamte Engagement eher semiprofessionell ist. Den Bogen, den Sie mir in ihrer Antwort im Ohr Restaurant geraten habe, darf ich daher empfehlen, den rate ich allen Lesern gerne weiter, denn man kann für gutes Geld in München noch sehr gut Essen gehen, ich allerdings nicht mehr bei Ihnen.

War heute mittag richtig lecker. Tolles Ambiente. Preis/Leistung absolut top. Und bei schönem Wetter eine unschlagbare Aussicht auf der riesigen Dachterrasse. Mein persönliches Lieblingsgericht ist der Caesars Salat mit Ziegenkäse, oder das vor Ort Dry Aged Beef. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hoch oben, im Freien, am Heizkraftwerk an einem warmen Abend bei einem Augustiner Bier... das lässt einen Träumen. Meine Käsesuppe und der Salat (super Soße) mit Ziegenkäse waren sehr gut. Leider konnte das Gulasch da nicht mithalten. Der Service war sehr gut.

Sehr freundlicher Service und gutes Essen. Optisch sehr gut angerichtet und schmackhaft. Zwar etwas hochpreisiger, aber Qualität kostet halt ein bisschen mehr. In der Sonne zu sitzen und über die Dächer von München zu schauen, ist dann noch das i-Tüpfelchen.

Der Besuch im Restaurant war eine ganz besondere Überraschung für mich, die ich in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten werde. Ich kann dieses besondere Ambiente und das wirklich gute Essen nur jedem empfehlen, der einem entspannten und leckeren Abend genießen möchte. Es gibt eine sehr gute Weinauswahl und vor allem auch ein engagiertes und besonders freundliches Servicepersonal, was mittlerweile sehr selten geworden ist und ich mich daher auch speziell für den guten Service bedanken möchte. Sicherlich ist das Restaurant eher im höheren Preissegment einzuordnen, jedoch sollte man sich meiner Meinung nach auch mal etwas Besonderes gönnen und es dann auch genießen. Das Essen war qualitativ sehr hochwertig und mit Kräutern und Blüten aufgepeppt. Wir hatten mehr als nur einmal einen besonderen AHA-Moment und gerade solche Situationen zeichnen ein besonderes Restaurant aus. Leider waren auch am Abend sehr viele Wespen unterwegs, die bei einigen Gästen für Unwohlsein gesorgt haben, jedoch sind diese zum Sonnenuntergang dann auch nicht mehr anwesend gewesen. Als Betreiber würde ich mir jedoch eine Lösung dafür einfallen lassen, damit diese sich eher an einer anderen Stelle aufhalten. Zusammenfassend kann man aber nur von einem wirklich perfekten Abend sprechen, den ich sehr lange in Erinnerung behalten werde und auch sicherlich bald diesen besonderen Ort wieder besuchen werde. Sehr schöne location! Das Restaurant ist auf der Dachterrasse des Kare Heizkraftwerk. Loungige Musik und nicht zu enge Bestuhlung. Die Weinkarte lässt sich sehen und ist preislich mehr als in Ordnung! Äußerst aufmerksamer und sehr freundlicher Service. Die Qualität der Speisen ist auf einem Ordentlichen Niveau und ebenfalls Preislich im Rahmen. Hier war ich bestimmt nicht das letzte mal und werde nächstes mal auf jeden Fall bis zum Sundowner bleiben! Update 3.8.23. Erneuter Besuch, wieder nicht enttäuscht worden! Herzliches, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, dass authentisch und liebevoll rüberkommt. Das Essen schmeckt einfach unfassbar gut und bei schönem Wetter ist die Aussicht von der Dachterasse wirklich schön!

The ambience of the place was very nice. They have the open kitchen and good rooftop open space for sitting. So if you are looking for something different than usual restaurants and cafes, definitely visit. Just keep in mind to make reservations in advance

Alles ist sehr salzig, sogar das Kindermenü. Die Gerichte schmecken sehr einfach, ohne jeden Schnickschnack. Ich habe einen Seibling für 29 Euro bestellt und nur zwei kleine Stücke bekommen. Die Reste, die meine Begleitung nich aufgegessen hat, wurden nicht zum Mitnehmen verpackt. "Aus Gründen des Umweltschutzes"... Im Falle einer Beschwerde verspricht der Kellner, diese nur an den Chefkoch weiterzuleiten sonst nichts. Die übliche Rechnung wurde nicht gebracht. Sie brachten gleich den Kartenautomaten.

Der Service ist toll von den Empfehlungen die ausgesprochen werden. Was ich mir nur wünschen würde, das öfter jemand vorbeischaut, da ich des öfteren auf dem Trockenen saß.
