Excellent food, very courteous and attentive staff and a particularly beautiful interior design and atmosphere - definitely a great dinner experience!

We were at the Bogenhauser Hof on New Year's Eve and spontaneously got a place. The quality of the food was high quality, the bouillabaise for the starter was very tasty, and the duck breast for the main course was also successful. The selection of open wines is manageable but high quality. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff, very accommodating and warm. When we're back in Munich, we'll stop by again.

Staff and service attentive and friendly. Very nice interior design. The food was good. We had the schnitzel and dessert. Price/performance okay. We were a bit surprised about the bill: cover was served without asking and charged at €3 per person. A 0.75l water bottle cost us €9.80. Just under €20 for two bottles. We were happy, but it had a strange aftertaste towards the end.

Had Christmas dinner here, food was ok but the old blonde German waitress’ face pretty much ruined our appetite because she looked so miserable and angry, I think she should look for a different job.

We were visiting Munich and had our family Christmas lunch here. We had a the Christmas menu, which was a selection from the a la carte menu, and it was just fabulous. Exquisite meal and exceptional service.

Service was too pushy, every 2 min interruption to ask us something (if food is fine, if need water..), it was so annoying. At the end, when the tip was apparently not as expected, the waitress was annoyed and openly disturbed. If I would be coming here again, it would be only because of the very good food

Wir hatten mit fünf Personen einen netten Abend. Auch der Service war zunächst äußerst zufriedenstellend ! Beim Begleichen der Rechnung (vierstellig!) hatten wir ein Trinkgeld von 6% vorgesehen . Daraufhin wurden wir dann allerdings gefragt, ob wir mit dem Service unzufrieden waren, da hier eine Servicecharge von 10% üblich wäre! In Deutschland haben - im Gegensatz zu USA - die Servicekräfte ein Festgehalt, Trinkgeld ist ein add on für guten Service! Insofern sind 10% Forderung für den Service m. E. nicht unbedingt gerechtfertigt, um nicht zu sagen, unverschämt! Wenn dies nun in gewissen Kreisen üblich wird, werden wir uns zukünftig Lokalitäten suchen, deren guter Service ein gutes Trinkgeld zu honorieren weiß! Dazu wird der Bogenhauser Hof nicht mehr gehören!

Everything is just right. The prices are quite reasonable for Munich with this quality. Finding a parking space is often not easy.

Perfect experience for all senses

Ich möchte sagen, dass ich meinen Aufenthalt im Restaurant genossen habe, wohin ich mit meiner Frau und einem unserer Freunde gegangen bin. Ich mag die Atmosphäre des Lokals, und der Service hat mir gut gefallen. Ich muss jedoch zugeben, dass ich persönlich nicht so begeistert vom Hauptgericht war (ich hatte Wild), und ich glaube, dass die Kartoffeln meiner Frau überkocht und fade waren. Bei einem Preis von fast 100 Euro pro Person hatte ich mehr erwartet.

We had a nice evening with five people. The service was initially extremely satisfactory! However, when paying the bill (four digits!) we were asked whether we were dissatisfied with the service, as a service charge of 10% would be common here! In Germany - in contrast to the USA - the service staff have a fixed salary, tips are an add-on for good service! In this respect, in my opinion, a 10% demand for the service is not necessarily justified, not to say outrageous! If this becomes common practice in certain circles, in the future we will look for places whose good service can reward a good tip! The Bogenhauser Hof will no longer be part of this!

Das Tatar vom Rinderfilet war eines der Besten, die ich jemals gegessen habe, der Rehrücken ebenso und auch die Käseauswahl zum Abschluss war sehr gelungen. Das Wiener Schnitzel meiner Begleitung hatte mit einer etwas ungewohnt schmeckenden Panade Luft nach oben - Geschmackssache einfach. Angenehm überrascht war ich ebenfalls von der Weinbegleitung, abseits von 08-15 Standardweinen. Darüber hinaus sehr nettes Ambiente und ein sympathischer, aufmerksamer Service.

We were at the Bogenhauser Hof yesterday, the starter, the bread with the cream and the Vitello Tonato and then the schnitzel, everything was very good. The Kaiserschmarren was even better, we've never had one as good as this one. Service was also very friendly. We will definitely be back, it was a wonderful evening

Excellent food (recommendation: the best schnitzel in the city!), service very attentive and friendly, great atmosphere. Prices are completely reasonable for the quality An unmistakable sign of quality - the restaurant was completely full during the week! Be sure to reserve and as a tip: state the occasion (birthdays etc.), there was a nice, culinary surprise... We will come back soon. Thanks

We felt very comfortable during our visit. Since we come from the catering industry ourselves, we can say: the food was good - just like at home. The service was also very courteous, even though we, as young guests, do not correspond to the typical audience. We were made to feel as valued as any other guest. Only the furnishings are a matter of taste. We'll be back.

It was just fantastic. We had a great birthday and were well served by our host Christian. We had a 4 course menu with a matching wine recommendation. All dishes were well explained and all requests were taken into account. At the end there was our favorite tequila as a recommendation, a charming tour of the whole house and a surprise cake, which was super delicious. The restaurant is centrally located in Bogenhausen and has a lovely garden. The food was much better than expected and a significant improvement compared to my last visit two years ago. Large selection of wines and very friendly service!

Modern and elegant, the cuisine at Bogenhauser is characterized by deep flavors and beautiful food presentation. The burrata starter was fresh and sitting in a tart sauce that gave it lots of brightness. The main course was a lamb shank on a bed of polenta. The meat was tender and had deep and rich flavor from the wine sauce. The plum tart dessert was light and paired beautifully with the ice cream and sauce. The restaurant is beautiful with very attentive service.

Lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Intriguing menu. I had Wiener Schnitzel, it was nice enough but wouldn’t order it again. The experience was above average and so were the prices.

A lovely afternoon with delicious food in a fantastic ambience. Absolutely perfect service. The restaurant manager Stephan is really a gem. When I made a telephone inquiry about a specific dish, I was called back straight away and my inquiry was answered warmly. Everything was perfect on site too. Christa was extremely kind and attentive, and provided us with some excellent recommendations. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we have decided to return for lunch for more culinary delights! The place for good food, great service and a wonderful ambience. Ended up in the store by chance - but didn't regret it. Just the very limited selection of open wines and the very, very expensive ones Wine list somewhat spoils the impression. Still 5 stars - the food is excellent and worth every euro!

Unfortunately the quality of the food is poor and the service is sometimes unprofessional. Location and map alone are not enough to impress the experienced guest.

Unfortunately, our dining experience was disappointing. The tartare was sorely lacking in flavor, and the cabbage accompaniment was not able to satisfy us. We shared our thoughts with the waiter, but instead of receiving an understanding welcome, we were treated to an inappropriate discussion, where he insinuated that we lacked taste discernment. To top it all off, this same waiter attempted to “jokingly” refuse to serve a Coke to a member of our family, behavior that we found completely inappropriate and unprofessional. It's a real shame, because this establishment has a lot of charm, but the attitude of the staff tarnished our visit.

Everything is very nice, well decorated in every detail! The outside area is also professionally roofed. But in summer something airy would be better! So that the air doesn't stagnate, but we don't have that long of a summer! :) The food, the service and the ambience there is nothing to complain about. Some time ago we were at the Bogenhausener Hof for the first time after it reopened and had a wonderful evening in the restaurant, which is what we wanted to do on August 14th. repeat. We also had a wonderful time sitting on the terrace, even during a summer thunderstorm, and this ambience deserves 5 stars - as does the kitchen. Starters and main course were impeccable, the starters in particular were as creative as they were skillful. On the other hand, the service last night was a complete disaster and deserved at best 1 star given the level of disinterest and inattention shown. We were not offered an aperitif and the wine list only came when we asked. Although our waiter often walked past our table empty, we had to ask several times to have our empty wine glasses refilled. When the bottle was empty there was no question as to whether we wanted to drink something else, but the bottle was cleared away without comment. Even when our water bottle was empty, it was removed without comment as we passed by and we had to order a new bottle of water with a show of hands. Same with the espresso - it was placed in front of us without comment and without sugar and the waiter ran away before we could ask for sugar. We then organized it ourselves. We had actually both planned dessert that evening, so after clearing away the main course we sat at the table for quite some time, waiting for someone to acknowledge us again. But the wait was in vain. We ended up skipping dessert and asked for the bill. But even this required us to ask 4 times before the waiter was comfortable enough to put the bill on the table. He wisely omitted the obligatory question as to whether we were satisfied or was probably not interested in it anyway.

Absolutely outstanding dining experience at Boganhauser Hof. Food, atmosphere on the outdoor patio, service were all excellent. Our server, Christa, was really fantastic, giving us great advice on menu options and pacing the meal really well. We will definitely be back to Boganhauser Hof.

Das Restaurant Bogenhauser Hof in München ist definitiv einen Besuch wert! Der Service war ausgezeichnet – unser Kellner war äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und professionell. Er hat uns das Gefühl gegeben, bestens umsorgt zu sein. Das Essen war hervorragend, jeder Gang war geschmacklich auf den Punkt und wunderschön angerichtet. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Qualität und Frische der Zutaten. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt war die Wartezeit zwischen den Gängen, die etwas länger war als erwartet. Allerdings war das Restaurant an dem Abend sehr gut besucht, weshalb das durchaus verständlich ist. Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderbaren Abend im Bogenhauser Hof und können das Restaurant wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit erstmals nach der Wiedereröffnung im Bogenhausener Hof und verbrachten damals einen wunderschönen Restaurantabend, das wollten wir gestern wiederholen. Auf der Terrasse saßen wir auch wunderbar, selbst bei einem Sommergewitter, und dieses Ambiente verdient 5 Sterne – ebenso wie die Küche. Vorspeisen und Hauptgang waren tadellos, insbesondere die Vorspeisen waren ebenso kreativ, wie gekonnt. Dagegen war der Service gestern Abend eine einzige Katastrophe und hat bei dem gezeigten Maß an Desinteresse und Unaufmerksamkeit bestenfalls 1 Stern verdient. Uns wurde kein Aperitif angeboten und die Weinkarte kam erst auf Nachfrage. Obwohl unser Kellner öfter leer an unserem Tisch vorbeilief, mussten wir mehrfach darum bitten, unsere leeren Weingläser nachgeschenkt zu bekommen. Als die Flasche leer war kam keine Frage, ob wir noch etwas trinken wollten, sondern die Flasche wurde kommentarlos abgeräumt. Auch als unsere Wasserflasche leer war, wurde diese kommentarlos im Vorbeigehen entfernt, eine neue Flasche Wasser mussten wir per Handzeichen ordern. Gleiches beim Espresso – der wurde kommentarlos und ohne Zucker vor uns abgestellt und der Kellner enteilte, bevor wir um Zucker bitten konnten. Den haben wir uns dann selbst organisiert. Eigentlich hatten wir an diesem Abend beide ein Dessert fest eingeplant und so saßen wir nach dem Abräumen des Hauptganges noch eine geraume Zeit am Tisch und warteten darauf, dass uns nochmal jemand zur Kenntnis nehmen würde. Doch das Warten war vergeblich. Wir verzichteten schließlich auf das Dessert und baten um die Rechnung. Doch selbst dies bedurfte einer 4-maligen Nachfrage, bevor sich der Kellner bequemte, uns die Rechnung auf den Tisch zu legen. Die dabei obligate Nachfrage, ob wir zufrieden gewesen wären, unterließ er klugerweise bzw. hat ihn das vermutlich ohnehin nicht interessiert.

Wonderful quiet outdoor spot to dine in - feels very high end. Plenty space between the tables. Strong wine list. The appetizers we each ordered were fantastic. Only minor qualm was that the Wiener Schnitzel in the B-H style was OK but shy of expectations. Nevertheless - highly recommended!

I loved this place. The atmosphere and the interior are stunning! I loved the chocolate mousse that we had at the end. It was so carefully decorated, one could tell! The bouillabaisse was sumptuous, tempting. The truffle pasta was amazing. Definitely not the last time here, would be coming back again!

We went to the Bogenhauser Hof restaurant for the first time last week. Every single course was a pleasure, both for the eye and for the palate, because there was an absolutely fantastic coordination of the individual flavors. The recommended wine accompaniment was a perfect fit. The service was very friendly, attentive and you just felt comfortable. Because we were so excited, we made a new reservation straight away and so we can look forward to another wonderful evening this evening with excellent food and a great ambience.

The waiter very unfriendly. They "joked" that the place costs an extra €25 per person just to see if we could afford it and then laughed. People need to have respect for everyone, whether they look "rich" or not. Tip for the future: Just have respect and have humanity in you😘. Tipped despite very inhumane comments.

We had a very pleasant and lovely evening, we really enjoyed the food!

Το προσωπικό μας κοίταζε υποτιμητικά και μας έκαναν πλάκα ότι χρεώνουν 25€/άτομο επειδή καθήσαμε σε συγκεκριμένα τραπέζια που υποτίθεται είχαν χρέωση. Όταν είπαμε ότι δεν μας πειράζει μας απάντησαν υποτιμητικά ότι κάνανε πλάκα και δεν υπήρχε λόγος να αγχώνουμε. Δεν θα ξαναπάω γιατί δεν αξίζει καθόλου τα χρήματα για μια τέτοια αντιμετώπιση.
