Great family restaurant with activities for children. This type of place is sorely lacking in France.

A very good meal after a short hike - game is highly recommended here!

A lovely restaurant by the Windgfällweiher lake, skillfully blending traditional influences with modern elements. The furnishings present time-honored pieces in a contemporary yet inviting way. The restaurant has an open layout and offers a beautiful view (across the road) of the surrounding forests and, of course, the lake. The service is efficient, friendly, and attentive to each guest. The food was delicious, the portion a bit too large, but the price was perfectly reasonable. Highly recommended, for example, after a hike on the Black Forest Shepherd's Trail or at Schluchsee or Titisee. I'll definitely be back!

We went out to eat, and it was simply beautiful! The food was prepared with so much love and creativity—truly artistic and incredibly delicious. You could tell the heart and soul of the chefs here. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive. A place where you simply feel at home and can enjoy yourself. 🌿✨

Lovely restaurant! Very nice for kids, with a great marble run. Amazing, super-good, fresh, homemade fries! Unfortunately, that's it...the rest of the food tastes the same, like nothing at all. The salad was prepared a long time in advance and straight from the fridge; the cucumbers were really soggy. The spaetzle still had no flavor after adding salt three times. I wouldn't call the food bad, because the quality of the ingredients was certainly decent! However, the chef seems to have completely different tastes than I do.

The value for money is no longer good. We've been there many times, but it's gotten worse since the renovation. The staff don't even look at you when serving the menu or food. The service is rushed, the tables are nasty with worn tabletops, and the glasses are scratched like in a snack bar. The food is good and beautifully presented. A mushroom rice dish for €25 had very few mushrooms. Lots of lettuce leaves, and hardly any Parmesan cheese. Still tasty. The napkins are about half the size of usual. It used to be nice there, but it's a shame they had to go from 5 stars to 2 stars today. The staff makes a big difference, and that's not good. The sun terrace faces a parking lot and a street. Trains drive in reverse. The view of the lake is, of course, beautiful.

We were only there for coffee, conditions very friendly

The waitresses weren't in the mood for their job from the start. So, if you're not into rude service, this is the place to go. Overall, the food was just okay and not good for the price. Unfortunately, we were charged an additional €10 for the risotto because I allegedly hadn't mentioned that I wanted the appetizer. I even pointed, and all our dishes were from the appetizer section. If this is going to happen, then complaints should be handled differently. We definitely won't be back!!! ✌️

We were nearby on our motorcycles and stopped there for a break. Beautiful view of the pond, very friendly service, drinks came promptly, and the food (sausage salad with cheese and potatoes) was some of the best I've ever had. The price was right, too, so I definitely recommend it.

We ate here four times. The chef actually deserves a star. So fresh, so authentic, seasonal produce, absolutely everything homemade, from the Rinderkraft soup to the ice cream. Excellent. If I'm ever back at Schluchsee, I'll definitely stop by again. Thank you so much for this delight.

This restaurant is highly recommended. The dishes, especially the bread dumplings and cheesecake, were simply divine. The kids could purchase a wooden ball (€2) from a vending machine, which they could roll down a long and exciting ball track. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake while we ate. The ratio of quality and portion size to price was well-balanced.

My girlfriend and I stopped in to enjoy a piece of meat and a piece of fish, and we were delighted with the experience. The service was excellent, the staff attentive and friendly. The plates were beautifully presented, the cooking was perfectly mastered, and the flavors were spot on. The restaurant has ample parking, which is very convenient. The terrace, meanwhile, offers a calming and magnificent view of the surrounding Black Forest region. This really adds to the experience, especially when you want to enjoy a meal in a relaxing setting. One small drawback, however: the wines aren't up to par. The selection is too limited, and the white wine we tried almost seemed slightly sparkling, which really didn't go well with the fish. It's a shame, as it contrasts with the quality of the dishes. Finally, a word of advice: it's best to arrive early, as in Germany, kitchens close quite early in the evening.

Very good and lovingly prepared food!

We were there today and took a walk around the pond. The location and the outdoor terrace are, of course, very beautiful. I wanted to have a drink there with my partner. Unfortunately, we weren't served. The sun terrace was busy, but there were also five waitresses on site. We weren't greeted or even given any attention. We left after 18 minutes without any reaction from the waitresses. It's a real shame. Guests who arrived after us were served. We weren't even given a glance. You're happy to wait when it's busy. Of course, they understand. However, there were enough waitresses on site. The lack of attention and total ignorance was pretty weak...

Absolutely delicious, we were just there for dinner. Every dish was beautifully presented: regional game, vegetarian, vegan 💚 lovingly decorated with edible flowers, gluten-free ❤️, (but also Schniposa and sausage salad...). There's something for everyone.

We had a wonderful visit last Monday. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, making you feel immediately welcome. The food was excellent – freshly prepared and cooked with lots of love. The homemade dumplings were a particular highlight! We had the Cordon Bleu and a beer roast with dumplings and vegetables. The location is inviting: you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoor area. It's ideal for families, as there's also a playground for children. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, and dogs are also welcome. Payment is easy – both in cash and by card. All in all, a place you'll be happy to return to!

At first glance, it looks quite nice with a lake view, but directly between the main road and the terrace is a giant metal ball track, producing a background noise like the production hall of a metalworking shop. Conversation is impossible. Relaxation is out of the question. The waitress called over claims to be the manager and calls the demand ridiculous. If you're looking for very expensive, mediocre food and arrogant, bad-tempered staff, this is the place for you.

We went there for dinner today. It was a very nice location. Unfortunately, my meal, green spelt patties, was very greasy and had a bitter taste. The plate was very nicely presented, but unfortunately (except for the carrots) it didn't taste good. My complaint was dismissed with the statement that no one had ever complained. I paid the full price of €25. It's a shame; that's not how you treat guests.

A nice place for a snack or coffee and cake, even if you're coming back from hiking or swimming at the small pond across the street. The portions are generous and the terrace is nice. The indoor restaurant is quite cozy, with fast, friendly service. One minor drawback: The coffee served was unfortunately subpar.

Super nice view from the terrace to the lake

Highly recommended! The food was great, and the service was very attentive! You can come here for a Sunday outing with grandma or a little sweaty in your hiking gear – everyone is welcome and you feel equally at home here! It's also a great place for families, as the kids can romp around on the super nice playground until the food arrives, or if they're just finishing it quickly ;) There are also beautifully designed ball pits – the kids loved it!

We ate here two evenings. The food was always delicious, the atmosphere inside and outside was lovely, and the staff was very attentive and friendly! We can 100% recommend it, and it certainly won't be our last visit.

We stayed for 1 night. The rooms were very clean. We also had dinner at the restaurant. It was a bit expensive but delicious and they usually prefer regional products. Breakfast was also included in my stay and was very nice. The room also had a lake view.

Hello, I only review the restaurant. After a very nice hike around the lake, a top restaurant in a mix of Alpine / / Industrial styles awaits you. A very nice location and very modern and well maintained. There is a nice large children's playground with excavators. The service and food are worth 5 points. We liked it.

The restaurant is our absolute recommendation, not just for hotel guests. We come from the area and enjoy working at the charcoal burner. Everything good about the food has already been described. Nevertheless: stay away from the plum crumble cake... Otherwise there may be nothing left for us. We would particularly like to emphasize the people's sense of service for their guests. You have the feeling of being at home. Simply “real”. We actually chatted a bit that evening and even after the restaurant officially closed, our sense of humor remained. Just great. Highly recommended for a short trip! After a short hike around the Windgfällweiher (approx. 2.8 km and almost at ground level) there is a delicious piece of cake (homemade). The cappuccino is also very tasty there

We were just in the restaurant. Beautifully located on the edge of the forest and on a beautiful lake. Nice decor in the restaurant. Good quality, beautifully presented food. Now the crux of the matter, the taste was a bit lacking! The food was barely salted (had to add a lot of salt!) and the veal cheeks weren't as tender as they could have been. The red wine sauce should naturally taste really strong, but that wasn't the case. The dessert also lacked a certain oomph. Actually good food, but just too expensive for the price and the lack of seasoning. Service was so-so, could have been a little friendlier.

So, I'm reviewing this restaurant. Fantastic location, stunning view, and great atmosphere. Make sure you make a reservation! The food was delicious, and the portions were more than generous. A true explosion of flavor! You could practically taste the freshness of the main ingredients and side dishes. A definite recommendation, I'd go back anytime ☺️

We are very satisfied. The hotel has been beautifully renovated and is great value for money. The food was amazing (it's vegetarian) and our two dogs are absolutely welcome. We didn't hear the trains at all. In the morning you can start straight away with a walk around the pond, Feldberg and Schluchsee are a stone's throw away. We really liked the small sauna, you can book slots in writing and it worked really well.

Great food, good portions and the inside of the restaurant is really nicely done. Staff are also friendly. Would just be good if they had a door between the kitchen and the restaurant. The noise and cigarette smoke are not necessarily something all guests enjoy.

We took a Black Forest weekend break In foggy November and accidentally stopped here. Enjoyed the good food. They serve seasonal food and local beer and Baden wines. We had the Cordon Bleu, Kürbis Lasagna and Trout and can recommend the quality and environment.

The venison ragout is wonderful, a coincidence today because the big brewery around the corner (once again) had no more seats (although there seemed to be a lot available), I'll definitely be coming back with the family...

Good restaurant with a seasonal menu (game, pumpkin and mushrooms in October), VERY friendly service and an overall cozy atmosphere. In addition to some meat-based dishes, there are also good vegetarian options such as pumpkin soup and lasagna. The only complaint is that the dishes are all 20 percent too expensive for what I personally think is appropriate. For the price, I wouldn't eat here again. In total that means 4.5 stars and as we all know, you round them up. 😉

Auch Vegetarier kommen hier voll auf Ihre Kosten und haben eine echte Wahl. Das Essen war bei uns allen fantastisch und liebevoll dekoriert. Wir können das Restaurant absolut empfehlen.

I can only repeat my good review from 2 years ago. The freshness and quality of the products is great. The prices are more than reasonable. We were able to eat outside again this afternoon, which was very nice. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Still a good and recommended restaurant for us.

We ate there with a group of 14 people after walking around the beautiful Windgfällweiher pond right next to it in beautiful weather (approx. 50 minutes). Very nice, newly renovated dining room, the food was super tasty, everyone actually enjoyed it, a small, clear menu, with additional seasonal dishes, but in a higher price range.

I traveled alone for 3 days and really had a really nice time. Checking in at the Hotel Schlehdorn was a bit unusual for me, but everything went smoothly and the route between the two hotels is less than 5 minutes away by car. I had a really great room plus a balcony with a view of the pond. The breakfast was sensational and really had everything your heart could desire! The staff was more than friendly and very accommodating. The ambience at breakfast with the view of the pond was fantastic. The entire hotel with the restaurant was very well maintained. The dinner was also very tasty. The only criticism: Unfortunately there are no dedicated parking spaces for hotel guests. But all in all I was extremely satisfied and can only recommend the hotel!
