Today we went to the Greek restaurant for the first time based on recommendations. The food tasted very good. Gyros and souflaki with fries and salad. I have the feeling I know the boss and her employee every guest by their first name. People know each other and greet each other. The lovely employee, who used to be a customer herself, is, like the boss, very nice and has a lot of heart ❤️. We'll be back... kind regards from Charlotte and Holger..

The food here always tastes really good, as always. I've been eating there for over 20 years. The friendliness is always very good. If you have any questions, you'll always be helped.

Great gyros, good fries. However, you can leave out the coleslaw; if you use cabbage, then it has to be good.

I was born in Detmold, half Italian and now 41 years old. I can't remember ever having eaten so well in such a family environment. Always in a good mood, she knows all her regular customers and there are more and more of them. So I don't know of any other comparable shop in Detmold that consumes its meat skewers every day like the Greek woman does. Therefore, it can happen that at 9 p.m. there are no more gyros and you have ridden 6 km on your bike for free 😊 But it would be better to ride a good bike than to have a bad meal somewhere else!!!!

We came from Bielefeld and spontaneously stopped at “the Greek woman”. We received a very friendly welcome and decided on 2x Gyros Pita. As gyros connoisseurs, we can say that it was by far the best and most authentic gyros we ate in Germany. Please keep it up, we'll definitely be back!

Gyros was neither dry nor greasy, just to my taste. The tzatziki seemed homemade to me. We enjoyed it, the best gyros I've ever eaten.

Classic Greek. The gyro is perfect. The women have exactly the Greek warmth that you would expect. Gyros Pita is straight out of a picture book and super tasty.

We chose the restaurant while passing through because of the positive reviews. The hospitality was super nice and totally attentive, unfortunately you rarely experience something like that anymore. The food was super tasty. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip.

A top address for me in Detmold for more than 15 years, formerly on Lemgoer Straße, now for several years in the larger snack bar on Lageschen Straße... The ladies are always friendly and customer-oriented & the food is simply delicious 😋 I have never had the GyrosPita as good anywhere Eaten like at "The Greek", it's best to see for yourself on site!!!

I was passing through and got something to eat here based on the good reviews. (Gyro plate - gyros / tzatziki / coleslaw / fries). Gyro plate with a 0.33l Pilsner €14.50 to take away. The food is served on a paper plate. Place a sheet over it to separate it and wrap it in aluminum foil. Here I would prefer decent containers. Aluminum foil is a no-go for me personally. The portion was good for me. I eat a lot and feel full afterwards! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Unusually, I found the coleslaw missing a bit of sweetness, but otherwise it was fresh and tasty. The meat (whole pieces/lobes on the skewer) was crispy on the outside and also tasted very aromatic from the grill. But I have to say that the meat wasn't dry, but it wasn't that juicy either. Perfect with the tzatziki. But unfortunately there was only a "blob" of tzatziki. My conclusion: Highly recommended for snack food! Large portion, good taste and normal prices for current standards. Unfortunately I forgot my beer because I thought it was put in the bag. Going back was not an option.

Detmold's best kept secret. Real Greek imbiss. Very pleasant staff. Best gyros ever. Definitely recommended, also for the real souvlaki sandwiches like in Crete.

Such a great shop!!! Very good menu, great quality of food, impressive service in the rush hour in the evening. There was a lot going on and everything was routine, it couldn't have been better. Ouzo was even offered to those picking up and guests at the tables. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Many thanks to the 3 highly competent ladies who have this Greek snack bar more than under control. You can feel the passion for what they do. We are excited!

We had a very tasty and good meal here. Good portions, almost impossible to eat. Very cheap prices. You don't pay 12 euros for a grill plate. Two very nice women who run the restaurant, cook and always have a nice saying to say. We'd love to come back.

We traveled an extra 30 minutes because all the reviews were so good; and were not disappointed! Extremely tasty (the gyros was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside), the operators were super nice and friendly, and even the dog 🐶 got a portion! Highly recommended, would love to come back next time!

I have known the Greek woman since my childhood. I got a gyrospita from her for free (because I was hungry and stood in front of your shop the whole time) There is no better Gyrospita in all of Detmold! The taste has not changed to this day. And the prices are more than humane. Clear recommendation for anyone who loves something hearty. Will always be number 1 in my heart.

Anyone who orders here will quickly get to know the Greek temperament - in a positive way. Super nice ladies, really tasty food, which is always freshly prepared. You also remember faces when you're there a little more often. Everything looks very clean and is definitely cleaned every day. Tastes just like you would imagine a Greek mom would taste!

Die Griechen gibt es in meiner Erinnerung schon immer früher nur an einem anderen Standort. Das Essen schmeckt noch genau wie früher einfach fantastisch und wird schon jahrzehntelang von derselben Dame zubereitet welche sehr freundlich zuvorkommend und vor allen Dingen sehr sauber ist. Ich habe selten nein Imbiss gesehen wo der ganze Arbeitsbereich einfach glänzt keine Fettspritzer aufweist oder eklige Dinge an der Lüftung. Es ist immer sauber ordentlich und die Preise sind auch angemessen. Beste griechische Imbiss in der Umgebung

War letzte Woche dort und muss sagen okay war in der Mittagszeit das Gyros Fleisch war Super richtig Knackig schön durch gebraten kann man natürlich nicht erwarten wenn 20Kunden im Imbiss sind aber ich hatte Glück und das Essen war mehr als Perfekt

Alles war rund um super. Das Essen war super lecker und die Inhaberin war total nett. Wenn wir das nächste mal in Detmold sind, kommen wir garantiert wieder.

Via Google dit Griekse restaurant gevonden. Door de goede reviews zijn wij hier ook gaan eten. 2 gezellige Griekse dames runnen samen deze zaak. Het lijkt binnen niet op een Grieks restaurant, maar het eten is zeer lekker. Het is een klein restaurant. De meeste mensen komen hier het eten afhalen. Echt een goed lopend zaakje. Ik vertelde dat wij ze via Google hadden gevonden en liet ze dit zien. Ze werden ze heel blij van. Ik kreeg een kus op mijn wang. Daarom deze 5 sterren

Kleiner Laden und Klasse Essen. Große, leckere Portionen. Wir haben drin gesessen und die leckeren Teller genossen. Und sehr sympathische Damen, die alles frisch zubereiten. 1A.

Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, wir lieben ihr Tzatziki. Auch das Gyros ist klasse. Die vegetarischen Gerichte können beliebig kombiniert werden und sind auch zu empfehlen. Wir waren schon früher in der Lemgoer Str. Kunden und kommen gern immer wieder in die sehr nette familiäre Atmosphäre.

Wie kann man nur so sympathisch sein? Die Damen haben richtig Spaß bei der Arbeit. Immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Ein tolles Temperament und das Essen ist einfach herzhaft.

Gestern auf der Durchreise besucht. Sehr freundliche, kompetente Bedienung. Toller Service und köstliches Essen. So ein schmackhaftes Gyros hatten wir noch nie. Sehr zufrieden, sogar unser Hund durfte unter dem Tisch liegen.Gerne wieder.
