Also das Essen an sich ist geschmacklich gut. Das Essen zum mitnehmen finde ich allerdings eine Katastrophe was Zubereitung angeht. Leider wird das Essen auf billigen Papptellern serviert und bis man zuhause ist, ist der Teller schon durch geweicht und sieht nicht mehr so appetitlich aus. Leider ist die Menge auch nicht der Hammer, wenn man guten Hunger mitbringt. Fazit, wenn man vernünftig bei der Griechin essen will, vor Ort...

Haben hier über einen längeren Zeitraum mal was mitgenommen. Leider wurde das Fleisch mit jedem Mal trockener so daß wir nach dem letzten Besuch uns entschieden haben da nicht mehr was zu essen. Es gibt einen besseren Griechen wo es sich lohnt hinzufahren, der aber auch Lieferung anbietet.

Tolle griechische Imbiss-Stube mit ganz besonderem Flair! Hier arbeiten echte Power-Frauen, die mit viel Herz und guter Laune für eine super Atmosphäre sorgen. Das Essen ist einfach richtig lecker, die Preise sind absolut fair und der Service unglaublich freundlich. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen – komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Sehr leckeres knuspriges Gyros, alles noch handgemacht. Und sehr freundlich und herzlich bedient worden.

Ein absolut empfehlenswerter Imbiss! Alles ist TOPP – super lecker, frisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Laden ist sehr gut besucht, was definitiv für die Qualität spricht. Das Team ist großartig: total herzlich, freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Gyros Pita – genau wie in Griechenland! Mit echtem Pitabrot und klassisch mit Pommes eingerollt, einfach ein Genuss und authentischer geht’s kaum. Auch die Preise sind sehr angenehm und absolut fair für die Qualität, die man bekommt. Die Sitzplätze entsprechen einem typischen Imbiss, aber alles ist wirklich picobello sauber und gepflegt. Wer richtig gutes griechisches Streetfood sucht, ist hier genau richtig! 🌯🇬🇷

Das beste Gyros Pita aus der gesamten Stadt...wenn nicht sogar in ganz Ostwestfalen... Verstehe die negativen Rezensionen überhaupt nicht! Den Laden gibt wenn auch an anderer Stelle Jahrzehntelang in Detmold und das soll was heißen.

Wie immer lecker und frisch zubereitet.

Das Essen bei ihr ist Empfehlenswert, nur 5€ eine Pita bekommt man nur hier. Dazu ist es so lecker. Wir essen hier manchmal mehrmals die Woche. Außerdem Tut ihr dann der Betreiberin etwas Gutes. Ich wünsche jedem der da hingeht einfach ein Mega Essen.

Wir waren das erste Mal seit mehreren Jahren bei "der Griechin" weil wir mal wieder richtig Lust auf griechisches Essen hatten. Leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Die Pommes waren poppig, die bestellte Metaxa Sauce war nicht dabei und das Fleisch war nur ok. Der Laden ansich wirkt mittlerweile auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Chefin war nett. Fazit: Kann man machen aber man darf sich nicht zu viel erhoffen ansonsten wird man enttäuscht.

Absolute Katastrophe. Wir haben zum zweiten Mal hier bestellt – und zum zweiten Mal war das Essen eine große Enttäuschung. Das Fleisch war völlig trocken und komplett versalzen, praktisch ungenießbar. Und das sage ich als jemand, der normalerweise eher nachsalzt – aber das hier war selbst für mich deutlich zu viel. Besonders ärgerlich: Wir haben bei einem Gericht ausdrücklich OHNE Sauce bestellt (Essigunverträglichkeit). Wie zu erwarten, kam der Burger natürlich MIT Sauce, sodass die gesamte Bestellung direkt im Müll gelandet ist. Richtig schade – um das Geld und um die Lebensmittel, die man lecker zubereiten könnte. Stattdessen landet alles im Abfall. Unser Fazit: Bestellt lieber woanders. Wir werden hier definitiv nicht noch einmal bestellen.

Die Griechin zählt zu den besten Griechischen Imbissen in Detmold. Die Frauen sind immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Essen wird schnell zubereitet (15-20 Minuten) und schmeckt danach echt lecker 👍 Ich kann diesen Imbiss jedem nur herzlich empfehlen und mich nochmals nachdrücklich für die leckere Pita Gyros bedanken 🥙

Essen immer sehr lecker. Die Griechin ist eine total herzliche Person, die immer frisch und lecker kocht.

Leider mussten wir über 30 Minuten warten, während andere Gäste, die später gekommen sind, schneller bedient wurden. Da wir mit einem kleinen Kind dort waren, konnten wir nicht länger warten und sind schließlich hungrig gegangen. Sehr schade.

Super nettes Personal, essen schmeckt auch sehr gut, bemängeln müssen wir, dass das Essen leider nicht mehr richtig warm war, obwohl wir Vorort gegessen haben.

Ich war wirklich enttäuscht von meinem Besuch. Der Gyrosteller war viel zu klein portioniert, das Fleisch total übergart und an manchen Stellen einfach ekelig weich. Statt einer vernünftigen Box gab’s nur einen Pappteller mit Alufolie verpackt, die Pommes waren nicht richtig durch, der Salat winzig – und das alles für 13 Euro. Insgesamt absolut nicht zu empfehlen

Das Essen hier schmeckt wie eh und je immer total gut ich esse dort schon über 20 Jahre, die Freundlichkeit ist auch immer sehr gut bei Fragen wird ein immer geholfen.

Ein super laden wo man Fleisch bekommt das auf den Punkt gegart ist! Absolut frische Pommes. Ist immer viel los, aber daran merkt man einfach ein gutes lokal! Einfach Klasse essen und eine super nette Kuchen chefin! TOP!

Wir haben uns von den Rezensionen leiten lassen und wurden wirklich nicht enttäuscht, wir haben uns einen Teller mit Souvlaki, Gyros, Souzouk, Salat, Pommes und Tzaziki geteilt. Uns wurden 2 Teller fertig gemacht plus jeweils einen Ouzo.... Einfach nett von der Bedienung und das Essen war super lecker. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Einfach mal reinschauen.

We ate at the Greek restaurant in Detmold, and it was a truly lovely evening! The food was incredibly delicious—typically Greek, just as you'd expect. I'd especially like to commend the owner and her staff: both are incredibly warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. We also had ouzo with our meal and even another afterward—a lovely and authentic gesture that perfectly rounded off the evening.

*Very delicious food and large portions!* We were completely satisfied – the food was fresh, well-seasoned, and plentiful. While the ambiance could be improved a bit, the incredible warmth of the entire team more than makes up for it. One of the best shops in the area of ​​the Municipality of LIPPE, as well as one of the oldest as the owner Mrs. Vasso has had it for 47 years. The only thing that has changed is the location. The gyros are handmade, I highly recommend it

I had pitas and lamb, but unfortunately, they didn't have pita like in Greece itself. Based on all the positive reviews, I thought it would be different there. However, yesterday I unfortunately had a lot of meat that was completely uneatable—completely black and dry. A shame

I have known the operator for 35 years. The snack bar used to be on Lemgoer Strasse and has been on Lagesche Strasse for several years. Since I have known “The Greek Woman”, I have been able to rate the dishes as top quality! Great service, always nice to deal with! Absolutely recommended! Please keep going!

Here the Greek soul cooks from the heart! We were in the hospital for an emergency and were wonderfully distracted by the humorous and conscientious service, like we were on a little vacation in Greece. Price/performance perfect - we were even able to take something home with us. Really highly recommended!

We were visiting nearby and found this snack bar by chance. The dishes are very tasty, of good quality and the prices are okay. But the best thing about this snack bar is the warmth of the three ladies who run the place. We will dine there again on our next visit. Everything's great, Efcharistó

With Vasso and the two ladies you are always greeted very friendly and with a hug. Each menu is prepared when it is ordered, so nothing is on the grill beforehand, and it is always delicious. Of course there is always 1 or 2 ouzo as a welcome. Since the portions are always very well sized, we always take small portions.

We came here for the first time because of the top reviews and it was the last time we were here for the time being. While we waited for our food, the preparation seemed a bit disorganized. In addition to our grilled platters, I ordered metaxa sauce and tzatziki. The order was not written down anywhere (as far as I saw). Unfortunately, this ended up turning tzatziki into an additional portion of fries, which we only noticed when we got home. We then had to go back with the additional fries we didn’t want. The two of them didn't seem unfriendly at all, but they did seem a little out of sorts. One of them didn't even recognize my friend when he explained the problem, even though it had been less than 15 minutes since we were there and the store was very empty. The fries were taken from him and kindly replaced with tzatziki. To eat: Already in the store we noticed the almost black gyro skewer. But it has to be said that when cutting off the gyro, most of the dark side was left out. Gyros was “okay”. Liver was “okay”. Lamb chop was “okay”. Unfortunately, the souflaki was very dry, the rice was too bitter and the “farmer's salad” only consisted of chopped tomatoes, cucumbers and a piece of feta. The food wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't good either. You can eat it once, but it doesn't invite you to come back. It is a mystery to us how these 5 star ratings come about. Overall, unfortunately disappointing if you come by based on the good reviews, especially at a price of €31.

Today we went to the Greek restaurant for the first time based on recommendations. The food tasted very good. Gyros and souflaki with fries and salad. I have the feeling I know the boss and her employee every guest by their first name. People know each other and greet each other. Great gyros, good fries. However, you can leave out the coleslaw; if you use cabbage, then it has to be good.

I was born in Detmold, half Italian and now 41 years old. I can't remember ever having eaten so well in such a family environment. Always in a good mood, she knows all her regular customers and there are more and more of them. So I don't know of any other comparable shop in Detmold that consumes its meat skewers every day like the Greek woman does. Therefore, it can happen that at 9 p.m. there are no more gyros and you have ridden 6 km on your bike for free 😊 But it would be better to ride a good bike than to have a bad meal somewhere else!!!!

We came from Bielefeld and spontaneously stopped at “the Greek woman”. We received a very friendly welcome and decided on 2x Gyros Pita. As gyros connoisseurs, we can say that it was by far the best and most authentic gyros we ate in Germany. Please keep it up, we'll definitely be back!

Gyros was neither dry nor greasy, just to my taste. The tzatziki seemed homemade to me. We enjoyed it, the best gyros I've ever eaten.

A top address for me in Detmold for more than 15 years, formerly on Lemgoer Straße, now for several years in the larger snack bar on Lageschen Straße... The ladies are always friendly and customer-oriented & the food is simply delicious 😋 I have never had the GyrosPita as good anywhere Eaten like at "The Greek", it's best to see for yourself on site!!!

I was passing through and got something to eat here based on the good reviews. (Gyro plate - gyros / tzatziki / coleslaw / fries). Gyro plate with a 0.33l Pilsner €14.50 to take away. The food is served on a paper plate. Place a sheet over it to separate it and wrap it in aluminum foil. Here I would prefer decent containers. Aluminum foil is a no-go for me personally. The portion was good for me. I eat a lot and feel full afterwards! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Unusually, I found the coleslaw missing a bit of sweetness, but otherwise it was fresh and tasty. The meat (whole pieces/lobes on the skewer) was crispy on the outside and also tasted very aromatic from the grill. But I have to say that the meat wasn't dry, but it wasn't that juicy either. Perfect with the tzatziki. But unfortunately there was only a "blob" of tzatziki. My conclusion: Highly recommended for snack food! Large portion, good taste and normal prices for current standards. Unfortunately I forgot my beer because I thought it was put in the bag. Going back was not an option.
