Deutsches Haus in Bad Nauheim

Wir waren zu neunt (Patienten in der Reha) und hatten einen Platz im Biergarten reserviert. Die eine Bedienung etwas reifer und schon von Beginn an extrem gereizt und einfach nur schlecht gelaunt und komischen negativen Sprüchen wo nur Sie drüber lachen konnte, die andere Bedienung jünger und ansonsten genau das Gegenteil: stets freundlich und bemüht, so wie man es im Gastgewerbe eigentlich erwarten würde. Unser Problem: wir hatten die falsche Bedienung und es wurde das wahr, was ich als Scherz bereits intern angedeutet hatte: "Können Sie uns was empfehlen außer einem anderen und besseren Lokal !!!" Getränke kamen nicht, dann doppelt obwohl wir signalisiert hatten, das das bereits bei der Kollegin bestellt hatten!?? „Ich bekomme bitte noch ein Radler.“ „Aber nur, wenn Sie es nicht schon bei meiner Kollegin bestellt haben.“ Dann habe ich endlich mein Radler aber mit Fanta gemischt! Beim Abrechnen wurde das Chaos dann tatsächlich noch getoppt. Einer hatte doch tatsächlich den Beilagensalat nicht bezahlt weil aiuch Sie dies vergessen hatte. Anstatt auf meinen Vorschlag zu hören und der letzten Person abzuziehen, die anderen sind alle noch draußen und die 5,50€ werden auf alle Fälle bezahlt, sagt doch die mies gelaunte Tante, der die Zigarettenpause wichtiger war als das die Kundschaft was zu Trinken hat: "Dem traue ich keine 5 Meter weit " und rennt wie einen Furie raus mit einem Riesenschlag des Terrassentores und macht demjenigen, der völlig berechtigt kein Trinkgeld gegeben hat, mit Drohgebärden klar das da was offen ist, als wüsste sie genau das derjenige ein Zechpreller ist!???? 5 Personen kommen danach zu der freundlichen Bedienung und überhäufen Sie mit Geld. Die hat sich im Gegensatz zu der unangenehm aufgeladenen Schreckschraube herzlichst bedankt. Jetzt muss natürlich endlich noch der letzte Gast bezahlen und natürlich, wie sollte es auch anders sein, hat die strafbar bittere Bedienung vor lauter Wut und Groll den Kassenbon weggeworfen. Um nun die 2 Positionen und wie bei allen anderen schriftlich zusammenrechnen: Was ein Akt: Beruf verfehlt. Das Essen war bei dieser Odyssee zweitrangig jedoch allenfalls unterdurchschnittlich, keinesfalls besser und auch definitiv nicht verhandelbar. Sie glauben es nicht? Ich habe 8 weitere Zeugen die das ganze an Eides statt vor Gericht aussagen könnten. Mein Tipp: das älteste Lokal der Stadt abreißen und von neuem beginnen: es kann wirklich nur noch besser werden. Schlechter geht nicht mehr.

Ein wunderschönes uriges Lokal mitten in Bad Nauheim. Inzwischen wohl fast das einzige, wo es hessische Küche gibt. Auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert!!!

Ein absolut wundervoller Ort, der das Gefühl von hausgemachtem Essen und die Herzlichkeit eines familiengeführten Restaurants perfekt einfängt. Alles, was wir probiert haben – und glauben Sie mir, wir haben so viele Gerichte wie möglich probiert – war außergewöhnlich. Jede Mahlzeit war frisch, unglaublich lecker und mit viel Liebe und Sorgfalt zubereitet. Man schmeckt die Leidenschaft, die in den Speisen steckt. Der Service war hervorragend. Alle waren herzlich und zuvorkommend und wir fühlten uns wie Gäste und nicht wie Kunden. Diese Art von Gastfreundschaft wird immer seltener. Ob Sie drinnen oder draußen im wunderschönen Garten sitzen, das Restaurant erzählt seine eigene Geschichte. Jedes Detail spiegelt die Persönlichkeit, die Geschichte und die Liebe wider, die die Inhaber in diesen Ort gesteckt haben. Es hat einen einzigartigen Charme, der einen dazu bringt, viel länger zu bleiben als geplant. Die Preise sind sehr angemessen, insbesondere angesichts der Qualität des Essens. Alles schmeckt wunderbar hausgemacht, genau wie ein Essen, das von der Familie zubereitet wird. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant nicht nur, ich lege Ihnen einen Besuch wärmstens ans Herz. Geht hin, genießt ein leckeres Essen, verbringt Zeit mit euren Freunden, lasst die Atmosphäre auf euch wirken und verpasst auf keinen Fall die hausgemachten Getränke. Ihr hausgemachter Apfelwein ist, ohne Übertreibung, der beste, den ich je irgendwo auf der Welt getrunken habe. Die hausgemachte Apfelschorle war genauso unglaublich und mit Abstand die beste, die ich je gegessen habe. Wenn ihr diese Gegend verlasst, ohne hier gegessen zu haben, werdet ihr es wahrscheinlich bereuen, eines der besten kulinarischen Erlebnisse der Gegend verpasst zu haben. Ich empfehle dieses Restaurant wärmstens. Es verdient jeden einzelnen seiner fünf Sterne.

Allea fing damit an das die Speisekarte die Online zu finden ist nicht der die im Lokal angeboten entspricht Preise und Gerichte. Das Schnitzel war das schlechteste Schnitzel das ich jemals gegessen habe . Von Anfang bis Ende Zäh bei meinen Kollegen auch .Wir waren zu fünft. Die Bratkartoffeln sowie das Schnitzel aus der Fritteuse. KATASTROPHE DIE Soße naja. Die Kellnerin war sehr freundlich und sagte sie könne das in ein Putenfleisch Schnitzel umtauschen. Also wie gesagt so ein schlechtes Jägerschnitzel hatte ich nich nie. Für das älteste Lokal in Bad Nauheim leider nicht zu empfehlen.

Urige Apfelweinkneipe in Bad Nauheims Altstadt.. Hier gibt es neben selbstgekeltertem "Äbbelwoi" auch andere hessische Spezialitäten in ordentlichen Portionen zu zivilen Preisen. Die Wirtsleute und die Bedienungen sind freundlich und auf Zack. Auch besteht in den Sommermonaten die Möglichkeit zum "draußensitzen". Da das Lokal sehr häufig bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt ist, wird eine Tischreservierung empfohlen.

Trotz telefonischer Reservierung, für heute Abend, hatte das Lokal geschlossen. Unverständlich!! Ärgerlich!! Sind dann um die Ecke, in "die Krone" gegangen; zum Zorbas! hervorragendes Essen!!!

Wi waren heute zum ersten Mal im Deutschen Haus. Eine urige Location mit ehrlicher deutscher Küche zu fairen Preisen. Die grüne Sosse muss man probieren. Der Chef der Hauses kam zu uns an Tisch, unterhielt sich sehr nett mit uns und lud uns auch noch auf einen Schnaps ein. Ein tolles Erlebnis und ein schöner Abend..

Die Traditionsgaststätte in Bad Nauheim. Das Muss ich gesehen haben Restaurant. Das Original seit über 100 Jahren. Ebbelwoi (Apfelwein) und Handkäs. Tradition mit schillernden Gästen seit Jahrzehnten. So wie Einstein und Elvis zu Bad Nauheim gehören, hier ein zu kehren ist ein muss. Vor Ort produziertes Kraft Bier ist ebenfalls erhältlich. Hessische Hausmannskost in guter Qualität zu vernünftigen Preisen ist die Normalität. Am besten vorher reservieren und sich freuen, wenn wetterbedingt der Biergarten offen ist. Wer hier meckert, dem ist nicht zu helfen. Ich bin froh, das es noch solche Originale in Deutschland gibt. Und gerne komme ich immer wieder und es war mir eine Ehre, Ihr Gast sein zu dürfen.

Es sollte ein Testessen für einen Geburtstag werden. Kurzum: es war ein Desaster. Schnitzel war zäh; Bratkartoffeln waren kalt und die Zigeunersoße war alles, aber keine Soße sondern ein Gemüsebrei aus Gemüsegarten, die ausser dem Paprika nix darin zu suchen hatten. So wird der Geburtstag jetzt woanders stattfinden. Leider gab es auch kein Entgegenkommen seitens des Hauses auf Erstattung oder ein anderes Gericht. Wirklich schade, da das Ambiente eigentlich wirklich toll ist . PS: vielleicht sollte die Homepage mal wieder überarbeitet werden.

Ich wäre heute mit fünf Reha Mitpatienten im Deutschen Haus. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und an unserem Tisch gebracht. Der Service war sehr gut und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen alle sehr sehr gut und nicht teuer Das Lokal ist klein und richtig 'Griabig' Vielen Dank an die tolle Bewirtung,den Service und die Küche. Sollte ich wieder nach Bad Nauheim kommen dann sicherlich auch wieder in das Deutsche Haus.

Uriges Lokal mit langer Tradition. Leckeres Essen, wobei meine Allergien voll berücksichtigt wurden. Der Service war Topp und wir haben uns hier sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

I don't like to recommend places like this because they're so wonderful and authentic that it would be a shame if they were completely overcrowded. But such good, hearty restaurants are unfortunately becoming increasingly rare. Very good regional cuisine. And excellent Eppelwoi (wine).

We've eaten there several times now, sometimes with a large group. The food is of very good quality. The service, which consists mainly of very young people, is super friendly, attentive, and fast. We always enjoy eating there.

On the last balmy summer evening, we were able to enjoy the beautiful courtyard once again. A very pleasant ambiance with fairy lights. We received prompt and friendly service. The food was delicious, although the men in the group needed another portion of handkäs (traditional cheese) after their main course to go home feeling completely full.

We visited the beer garden at the "Deutsches Haus" in Bad Nauheim with eight people on July 11, 2025. The food was delicious, but the prices were very excessive for the portion sizes. If you think you're going out to eat to get full, we recommend eating at home first, as you'll need a double portion and not snacks. The two waitresses there deserve a poor rating. They are neither attentive nor focused on their work. We sat there with empty glasses several times that evening, and it was no different at other tables. As a waitress, you should always be attentive and ready, and above all, be aware of this. If you spoke to one of them, she apologized and acted as if her colleague was taking care of it, and vice versa. What else can you say? Overwhelmed or just not in the mood...? Certainly not the best attitude. As soon as guests left the beer garden and the tables became empty, they were immediately there to clear the tables. Before you do that, though, you should take a quick look around at the many empty glasses of the other guests to see if there's anything else coming up. Whether we'll go there again is up in the air...

If you want authentic Hessian food, this is the place for you. We enjoyed it with real Apple Wine in a Bembel (beer stein). A must.

The courtyard/beer garden is a small oasis. Very cozy, with lots of plants and flowers. It invites you to linger. The service is super friendly, unobtrusive but always present. The food is deliciously prepared and the portions are just right. Not too much, not too little. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

We (an elderly couple) visited on July 1, 2025, and luckily managed to get a table in the beer garden, which had been reserved for a later time. Friendly service, a very pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food and drinks. BUT: The menu/drinks list posted on the restaurant's website is no longer up-to-date. The actual prices are now higher than those listed. The "Menu:" link in the Google search results even leads to a menu/drinks list from (probably) 2015, which is, of course, completely outdated.

Honestly!? Let's just leave it at that. Tried it twice in four years, still fried schnitzel. Not even topside. Salad tasteless, server asks if you liked it, you say no, and she doesn't care. It's just difficult to get good food for a lot of money when you know how to cook. For me, it's just a fast-food restaurant. And I'm not someone who hides behind the internet. We stopped at the Deutsches Haus in Bad Nauheim today for lunch. It's a small, very fine restaurant with a wonderful beer garden-style courtyard. The menu is wonderful, with dishes that truly reflect the motto "eat like mom used to make." The Frankfurt schnitzel with green sauce, bratwurst with warm homemade gravy, potato salad, and fried potatoes are all fantastic. The service was very relaxed and friendly; if you're looking for some home-style cooking, you should come here.

We were staying at a nearby hotel an wanted authentic Hessian German food, with a plus if they took credit cards. I guess they don't take reservations, so we just wandered over late afternoon and found plenty of locals drinking, eating and playing cards. Definitely a tavern feel with old-timey knick knacks all over. This seemed as authentic as it gets! We were seated at a communal table with other parties. We ordered the local cider (okay, not our favorite but we tried it) and the local Hessian versions of their wiener schnitzel (with an herb sauce) and bratwurst (with Hessian cheese). Both hit the spot for the type of German food we wanted to have. We could have paid with cash but paid with a card instead to save our euros for later. Definitely recommended.

On my bike tour, I stopped there after 95 kilometers. I was thirsty and hungry. I immediately ordered a Löwenbräu. Licher beer is available as an alternative. The place was very busy for a Monday. It was very warm due to the large number of people. I initially wanted to try "Schäufele," which unfortunately was sold out. I opted for schnitzel with fried potatoes. I got a schnitzel that was overcooked and overseasoned. The fried potatoes were served as potato wedges, without onions or bacon. It came with a slice of lemon and green sauce. I'll be back in a week. I don't think I'll be back. I paid €21.10 for two beers and the schnitzel.

How many Canadians, how many Iranians have dined here? I wonder! The food is authentic and really good. Made from fresh ingredients. The only thing is that they don’t have an English menu. Try their apple wine. It is a bit bitter but unique. They have few beer options but the apple wine is way better.

Today we ate in the courtyard, which looks rather cluttered. The food tasted okay, but some of it was very poorly decorated. A question during the ordering process was unanswered by the waitress, as she had never had to serve that dish before. The idea of ​​asking the kitchen was far from the mind of the lady. We visited for lunch. The restaurant has a rustic charm with an outdoor area, which, however, wasn't yet prepared. For starters, we had a pancake soup. It was delicious and had a lot of filling, but at €6.50, it wasn't exactly cheap. For main courses, we had schnitzel with fried potatoes and spaetzle. The schnitzels were delicious, and the hunter's sauce was also good. The mushrooms in the sauce were canned, however (they didn't taste or texture like fresh mushrooms). The fried potatoes weren't fried enough for my taste, but the spaetzle, on the other hand, was very good. The price for the schnitzel, however, was good. Overall, we were satisfied; the service was very friendly; there was a highchair, but no changing table. There was a small mistake on the bill, but it was immediately resolved, very professionally. Hence, 4 good stars.

We wanted to try the restaurant and had sausage salad, schnitzel and salad - the salad was quite good, the rest was solid, dry and very neutral in taste. Also the green sauce. Anyone who knows the Frankfurter Schnitzel from the Rad or Zum Lemp will be disappointed here. The apple cider and the Munich Helle were good. Overall value for money is not good. No recommendation from me.

Rustic and regional – gladly again. If you like something hearty and down-to-earth, this is the place for you. The dishes are typically German, well seasoned and filling. The apple wine goes perfectly with it - classic Hessian and refreshing. A real plus (and unfortunately not a given in Bad Nauheim): card payments are possible!

Wir waren mit 10 Personen anwesend, das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen, wer die gute , auch hessische Küche mag ist hier gut aufgehoben. Das Ambiente passt perfekt. Nicht schön war dass wir an 2 Tischen saßen und 5 Personen ihr Essen bekamen, sehr schmackhaft, der andere Tisch aber noch eine halbe Stunde warten musste, so dass der 1.Tisch schon fertig war mit dem Essen. Das war nicht schön. Eine Person bekam ihr Essen ganz spät; da waren alle schon fertig. Das war unglücklich. Bedienung war unaufmerksam, Getränke dauerten....es wurde nicht gefragt ob nan noch etwas zu trinken haben möchte . Wer zu zweit dort essen geht wird zufrieden wieder nach Hause fahren.

Food is sometimes €5.00 more expensive than offered online. You can argue about taste, not what's best. Wait staff should first take a course on friendliness.

We were there on a Saturday evening. The shop was busy but there were still two cookies for us. :) Service is always charming and witty. The ambience is unbeatable! You spend hours in the cozy dining room and can't get enough of the little things placed with love and time. You're constantly finding new things that excite you. The food with ❤️ You can tell it's a family business and everything is done with passion! From the service to the food. I can recommend everyone to stay here and leave everyday life behind for a moment because the team will pick you up and surprise your taste buds with the food made with love. Come over!

The taste of the food was okay, but it lacked highlights. Unfortunately, the portions were too small overall, so you couldn't leave the restaurant feeling full. The amount of sauce and side dishes, such as the fried potatoes, was particularly disappointing. The size of the schnitzel was okay, but for the price we would have gotten a lot more from other restaurants. It's a shame, but unfortunately the overall package didn't convince us, which is why we decide not to come again.

The Frankfurter Schnitzel and the sausage salad were delicious, as were the fried potatoes and the side salad that tasted good. We couldn't fault the price. My friend paid €15.70 for food and drink and she was more than full. I can't understand these negative reviews, the German House was very well attended, there were three of us sitting at the round table and we didn't know each other beforehand. Enjoyed the company at the table with food and drinks.

Yes, it still exists... German cuisine, although only rarely in Bad Nauheim. We were here for the local Kerb. There was a reduced card appropriate to the score. We have all found something for ourselves. A RESERVATION is recommended. We liked it.

Wir sind spontan eingekehrt, während dort die Kirmes stattfand. Dementsprechend kleine Karte. Trotzdem durften wir trotz zahlreicher Reservierungen im Außenbereich Platz nehmen. Trotz eingeschränkter Karte konnten "Sonderwünsche" erfüllt werden. Super aufmerksamer und netter Service! Qualität und Geschmack der Speisen hervorragend!

We had ordered the Frankfurter Schnitzel, the green sauce that was served with it was indefinable, some kind of sour cream or something with no herbal taste. The schnitzel and the fried potatoes were also “deep-fried” and far too expensive. The rump steak was ordered medium, but arrived fried to death. The cider was far too warm and the "house brand" water for €4.50 was not carbonated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is still a lot that needs to be improved.

A normal pork schnitzel with boiled potatoes and asparagus for an outrageous €26.50. Even on Tegernsee you don't pay such exorbitant prices as in the Hessian province. You can get it for €19.50 including a lake view.

Great German food and beer garden! The staff speaks English and they have English menus (pricing is not updated on the English menus, but that is ok). Service was quick, the food was tasty with large portions (excellent value for money). A reservation may be helpful, but I was able to get a table without one.

The most traditional German restaurant in Bad Nauheim, located near the market square. Old half-timbered house, maritime interior design, regional Äppwei joie de vivre in the restaurant and in the toilet are exemplified. The food is good, not exceptional, but decent cuisine and the service is Hessian friendly. You usually don't sit alone at the table, but it has a Sachsenhausen flair.

In a rural courtyard with bird aviaries, you can sit together on banquet furniture in a very entertaining way. The restaurant was very busy, so the two service staff seemed quite overwhelmed. The preparation of the food was therefore only mediocre.

Whether the food or the service, everything was great. If you don't like all of this, please stay away and don't spread a bad mood. We Bad Nauheim love it. kiss

I ordered the Frankfurter Schnitzel today, the green sauce that came with it was indefinable, some kind of mayo-like substance without any herbal taste - so please don't. The schnitzel and the fried potatoes were also just below average and, to make matters worse, completely overpriced.

Great traditional restaurant, with a special German flair, generational business. Here they still know how to serve real German home cooking in a very tasty way. There is also our own cider here, very tasty. I can only recommend it, I would have given it 6 stars if it had been possible.

Super cool place. There is local cuisine there. We were thrilled.
