Brunnenwärterhaus in Bad Nauheim

Ich war froh, endlich mal wieder Leber auf einer Speisekarte zu sehen - und habe mich sofort dafür entschieden. Eine gute Wahl: ich bekam eine sehr gute Leber (außen kross, innen zart und noch saftig). Dazu ein hervorragendes Kartoffelpüree. Das allerbeste war dann die Sauce, die das Gericht zu etwas ganz besonderem machte! Vielen Dank an die Küche.

Waren heute das erste Mal da und sind sehr zufrieden. Es ist gehobene leckere frische Küche. Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Vorspeise (kalte Avocado Gurkensuppe) war "ganz ok" Hauptgericht dagegen erstklassig in Geschmack, Zubereitung und Qualität (Rinderbäckchen). Leider mussten wir trotz Reservierung über eine Stunde auf die (kalte) Vorspeise warten. Kein besonders professioneller Umgang und Service mit der Situation. Auch wenn ein gutes Essen seine Zeit braucht, das war einfach to much!! Eine Information/Entschuldigung wäre angebracht gewesen, ein Körbchen Brot o.ä. hätte den Magen beruhigt. Auch als es ruhiger wurde Service nur mäßig. Schade, die authentisch ehrliche Küche hätte besseres verdient!!!

Liebes Brunnenwärter Gastro Team. Hier meine fünf Sterne Bewertung auch ganz ehrlich gemeint aber es gibt auch ein paar Anregungen, die ihr euch bitte zu Herzen nehmen solltet, damit ihr auch in Zukunft noch so gut bestehen könnt. Also jetzt meine ehrliche Rezension: So wie immer das positive zuerst - Das Essen fand ich persönlich super und das galt auch für meine fünf Gäste, mit denen ich meine Hochzeit heute bei euch gefeiert habe. Das Ambiente ist absolute Spitzenklasse und die Reservierung hat auch super geklappt. Ich bin einen Tag früher reingekommen um das noch mal zu überprüfen, das Personal ist super freundlich und aufmerksam und das kam auch bei meinen Gästen sehr gut an. Also für uns war es ein gelungener Abend und die Gäste haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt, was für mich persönlich das Wichtigste war. Preislich fand ich es auch wirklich mehr als in Ordnung, ich hatte tatsächlich mit 50 % mehr mindestens gerechnet. Also wirklich Daumen hoch an der Stelle. Alles wird teurer und ihr müsst auch eure Miete und alles bezahlen. Wirklich eine super Leistung von euch und dafür noch mal vielen Dank in der heutigen Zeit. Es gab zwei ganz kleine Missgeschicke, die ich erwähnen möchte, war aber nicht weiter schlimm und ist für mich trotzdem fünf Sterne. Meine halbwüchsige Tochter hat ihr Essen nicht ganz geschafft, ich hatte gebeten, es einpacken zu lassen, und es wurde dann leider weggeworfen statt es einzupacken, der Kellner hat sich dann noch entschuldigt, kann passieren. Ich war selbst im Gastro tätig und manchmal geht es einfach hektisch zu in der Küche. Und bei mir wurde eine extra bestellte Sauce, glaube ich, ehrlich gesagt vergessen wurde dann aber noch schnell gebracht, also alles kein Problem. Wie gesagt, bei so vielen Gästen geht immer mal was schief, also alles gut. Aber jetzt auch deutliches Verbesserungspotenzial: wenn ich einige Gäste in ein Restaurant einlade, was nicht gerade eine Dönerbude ist, dann erwarte ich persönlich nicht unbedingt, dass ich 300 €+ Bargeld mitschleppen muss, natürlich ist es euer Recht, die Modalitäten festzulegen, wie ihr das wollt aber ihr müsst euch vorstellen, wie ein Gastgeber dasteht vor seinen Gästen, der damit nicht rechnet. Zum Glück habt ihr mir das vorher gesagt und ich war vorbereitet, aber in 2026 läuft nicht jeder mit 300 -600 € in der Tasche rum. Bitte geht mit der Zeit und überlegt euch wie jemand da steht dem vielleicht an der Stelle ein Missgeschick passiert als Gastgeber. Das ist wirklich unangenehm. Weiterer Punkt: wenn ich Gastgeber bin und lege dann ein Haufen Bargeld auf den Tisch. Beim bezahlen ist mir persönlich das einfach irgendwie unangenehm. Ich hatte dann abseits vom Tisch bezahlt. Ja, das sieht anders und es gibt sicher Leute, an denen es Spaß macht, so viel Bargeld auf den Tisch zu hauen, weil sie sich dann besser fühlen aber ich gehöre nicht dazu. Mir ist es unangenehm vor meinen Gästen so viel Bargeld auf den Tisch zu legen, wenn ich sie einlade. Schaut immer auch mal aus der Brille des Gastes: wie fühlt sich der Gast, wie fühlt sich der Gastgeber. Für mich war das irgendwie merkwürdig aber mein Gott: vielleicht liegt es auch an mir. Zweitens: von der Bestellung des Essens hat es circa 60 Minuten gedauert, bis das Essen wirklich für alle da war, das ist nachvollziehbar, weil ihr euch beim Essen viel Mühe gibt und das Haus voll war aber es ist von der Zeit her tatsächlich in meinen Augen grenzwertig. Es geht gerade noch so durch, aber der ein oder andere hatte echt Hunger gehabt, als das Essen dann kam. Auch da gibt es natürlich keine klare Richtlinie was noch in Ordnung ist aber es ist auch hier so, dass man es einfach nicht unbedingt erwartet als Gast, dass das Essen wirklich fast 1 Stunde dauert, bis es da ist. Aber das sieht natürlich jeder anders und ihr macht super Essen zum günstigen Kurs von da geht es für mich auch in Ordnung, wenn man es vorher weiß. Also: Fazit klare Empfehlung von mir - mit ein paar kleinen Einschränkungen, an denen ihr vielleicht noch was verbessern könnt.

Essen war hervorragend. Service war okay. Preise sehr hoch und gleichzeitig keine digitale Zahlung möglich?! Im Jahr 2026 eher peinlich und unverschämt. Finde sowas immer verdächtig. Komme erst wieder, wenn es wenigstens mit PayPal möglich ist und werde es deshalb nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wieder mal ein sehr positives Erlebnis in allen Bereichen. Speisen mit raffinierter Präsentation, sehr aufmerksamen Service und einem schönen Ambiente. Vielen Dank an das Team vom Brunnenwärterhaus.

Der Geheimtipp für Bad Nauheim und die gesamte Wetterau. Hier gibt es das beste Essen der Region. Regionale Spezialitäten super frisch und geschmacklich perfekt zubereitet. Das gemütliche Ambiente ist im Winter wie im Sommer einfach wunderschön und das Personal rundet mit Freundlichkeit und Kompetenz diesen Eindruck ab.

Waren nur für Kaffee und Kuchen vor Ort. Doch das was wir mitbekommen haben macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Ambiente und Service kann ich jedoch als ausgezeichnet bewerten.

Ein Ostermenü mit ausreichend Wahlmöglichkeiten. Bei dem Preis würde ich allerdings auch beim Nachtisch eine Wahlmöglichkeiten haben wollen.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente. Drinnen ist es gemutlich und im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist unvergleichlich gut. Sehr schön angerichtet und genau die richtige Menge um gut gesättigt zu sein. Eines der besten Restaurants weit und breit!

Am Eingang wurden unsere Mäntel entgegengenommen. Rinderbäckchen & Dorade und alles mindestens! 5 Sterne. Die aufmerksame Bedienung fragte, ob ich mehr Sosse möchte. Es freut mich sehr, dass es solch einen Service und solche eine Qualität noch gibt.

Wir waren jetzt das 2. mal da und jedes Mal waren sowohl Vorspeise und Hauptspeise als auch das Dessert super lecker! Der Service ist top und das Ambiente gemütlich. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Wir sind schon seit Jahren Kunde im Brunnenwärterhäuschen. Sogar unsere Weihnachtsfeier der Firma haben wir hier ausgerichtet. Heute haben wir telefonisch eine Tischreservierung vorgenommen und um einen Platz im hinteren Teil des Restaurants gebeten. Dies wurde uns auch telefonisch bestätigt. Bei der Ankunft waren wir noch nicht mal in dem Gästebuch eingetragen und es wurde uns gesagt, dass es auch keinen freien Tisch im hinteren Teil des Restaurants gibt. Wir haben es vorgezogen dann wieder zu gehen. Diese Vorgehensweise sind wir nicht gewohnt. Es ist höchst unprofessionell und ist für uns nicht akzeptabel. Somit können wir dieses Restaurant nicht mehr weiter empfehlen.

Eine tolle Gaststätten. Da sie klein und fein ist, sollte man zwingend vorher reservieren.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort, das Essen hatte meiner Meinung nach Lieferdienst Qualität, bzw. habe ich bei selbigem schon besser gegessen. Kurz, für die Qualität überteuert. Der Service machte einen demotivieren Eindruck.

I was there recently and had salad, steak, and dessert. The food was average, but the portions were too small for the price. It took more than 10 minutes for a beer. There's definitely room for improvement.

I visited this restaurant yesterday, together with colleagues from the company, and I was delighted. We used the garden terrace, which is beautiful, with lots of details, and the lawn. The food was excellent, a snack picnic, drinks and water perfectly chilled. Lunch or early dinner was served to us in one of the halls. I had a vegetarian meal, and it was very tasty. Dessert is the star of the evening. The service is commendable, the young lady who served us deserves 5 ⭐. She is extremely kind, fast, smiling, professional. The young gentleman, who helped, very kind and professional. A wonderful time spent, I would come back again.

We had a wonderful company party. The staff was great, very accommodating. I'm lactose intolerant, and they forgot to inform them beforehand, so I thought, oh dear, but they handled it really well. I got a slightly different starter and a different dessert, and the buffet was so extensive that I found something there, too. All in all, I was thrilled. Super delicious... everything was great!

Review of the tapas and paella evening. When booking, we double-checked that it was a tapas and paella buffet, as we prefer tapas and are only moderately fond of paella – that was definitely not the case! : - Tapas came as a very small appetizer, ready-prepared, with nothing exceptional on the small plate: meatballs, anchovies, olives, cornbread, and cheese. No refills! - The main course was paella, which the chef served directly from the pan and portioned. - Dessert (a mini portion) was then served at the table. No refills either! We sat at long tables with strangers (quite close together) – something we hadn't experienced beforehand. The price per person was a whopping €47 – mind you, just for the limited meal; drinks were extra. A corresponding warning that we had been sold something completely different when booking (and we heard the same thing from several other guests over the course of the evening) was ignored by the staff. No interest in clarifying this, let alone a small compensation to secure the guest as a future customer.

We were here with 12 people for a birthday dinner and had a wonderful time. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable, and everyone enjoyed the food. The place has a lovely atmosphere. Good value for money. We'll definitely be back.

I can't think of anything negative! The food is great, all the staff are very accommodating, and even if the decor isn't always to my taste, it's cozy inside and really nice outside. If the weather allows, I recommend sitting outside. I rarely go there, but I always enjoy it. The only small drawback: card payments would be nice, but they don't accept them.

It was actually quite nice, and tasted good, but the prices are quite steep. Too expensive for me personally.

Nice for outdoor dining, very good food, good value for money, excellent service, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere! We'll be back! You don't need a reservation for coffee and cake in the afternoon, but you definitely need one for the evening!

A delicious meal in a beautiful area.

The ambiance is definitely a dream. Located outside of town, surrounded by old trees, within spitting distance of the Sauerbrunnen, a historic mineral spring that you absolutely should try for free—what more could you want? Had the weather been better, we would have eaten our meal outside. Instead, we were seated in one of the tastefully and spaciously furnished dining rooms. When you're greeted so warmly and served delicious food, it's hard to complain. Nevertheless, one and a half critical comments. We, four people, had two liver dishes, one heaven and earth dish, and one roast pork dish. All the ingredients were top-notch, but all served with the same sauce, which, in my opinion, was made with soy sauce. Not a problem with the liver and roast pork, but heaven and earth... rather odd. I also found the wine list somewhat unsatisfying, but I can't say why. The prices are quite moderate for the quality offered. In any case, a visit to the fountain keeper’s house is highly recommended.

Yes, the food was excellent. But the service wasn't the fastest that day. We arrived at 1 p.m. with six people. We ordered drinks around 1:10 p.m. We ordered the food at around 1:20 p.m. We had to wait until around 2:10 p.m. It could have been faster.

We celebrated our wedding in a pagoda tent, and we're still absolutely thrilled. The outdoor ceremony took place on the meadow across the street, and it couldn't have been more beautiful! The location is simply gorgeous, and the food was incredibly delicious! Mr. Glaum and Ms. Hallmann are super friendly and easy-going hosts, and the service on the day was also very, very good! We can definitely recommend the Brunnenwärterhaus!

Beautiful location in the countryside. Very diligent and friendly service, the buffet was mostly average, but for me the only thing that was really delicious was the crème brûlée.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the festival tent, and we would do it again. It was perfect all around! The coordination beforehand, during preparation, and during the event was straightforward and professional. Nothing was missing, and the waiters were always very attentive. The food was delicious, and there was something for everyone. Thank you so much 😊

Friendly service. A good selection of regional dishes with normal portion sizes. All in all, it's worth a visit. It's a bit out of the way, but I think there's plenty of parking, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Ask about the prices for the daily specials and ask for the invoice when paying! Otherwise you will experience a surprise, not in a positive sense. It's a shame, otherwise the ambience and food were good. Because I travel a lot, I have concerns about stores that don't accept credit cards and only work with tablets.

We love the fountain keeper's house! Whether privately for a good meal or as a photographer couple for events - this location is simply great. In the summer we were able to photograph a fantastic wedding there and were thrilled. Service, food and ambience are truly excellent. The beautiful outdoor area in particular offers perfect spots for the bridal couple shoot and group photos. An all-round successful location that we are always happy to recommend for weddings and events!

Yesterday I was invited to the fountain keeper's house for my big birthday. As a trained cook and butcher, I would like to make a qualified judgment here - even though this phase of my life was many years ago: The entire meal, from the starter to bread etc. to the dessert, was a real pleasure for me. The food was cooked honestly, freshly and of absolutely high quality. Everything is consistent and without “chimes and radar” on every plate. Very, very great! In my opinion, parts of the service could have been a little more “seeing”. But maybe I'm just writing this because the dark-haired waitress with a 3-day stubble was so incredibly attentive, friendly and agile. Since I was invited, I don't know the menu price per person, which of course is part of a meaningful review. Overall it was a wonderful place to be, enjoy and celebrate. THANKS!!!

Everything was great. Brilliant, fresh, naturally cloudy beer from Kultland Brewery. Handkäs, Frankfurter Schnitzel, crusted roast, blood sausages and liver sausages as well as Kaiserschmarrn were outstanding in terms of taste. Boss provided amusement with funny sayings. Service well organized. Clear recommendation.

The ambience is beautiful, the garden is beautifully designed, the tables are well spaced out so that everyone has their privacy. In the middle of nature, at the Sauerbrunnen, beautiful restaurant also inside, e.g. B. the fireplace room and for larger celebrations *the coach house*. The food is super fresh and from the region or the immediate surroundings. I was thrilled with 'Nobi's beef liver'. Also the sea bass, to the point and very delicate. Very friendly and attentive service. Price performance is right. You definitely have to spend a nice evening here as a couple or with friends. Please reserve in advance!

First-class regional food is prepared here and served very tasty. In the outdoor dining area you can sit very comfortably under trees with nice partial shade.

We celebrated our wedding there this year and were more than satisfied. Even though we were only a small group and therefore didn't have the entire location to ourselves (daily business), this was hardly noticeable! Everything was perfectly prepared, everything according to our wishes. The service (2x men were there just for us!) was flexible, spontaneous and very professional! The food was as agreed and of the highest quality as usual, although we had high expectations in this regard. So all around great. If you are looking for a beautiful location with outstanding “bourgeois top cuisine” and first-class service at a fair price, this is the best address. Many thanks again to the team!

The food was very tasty, but only 1 star for the service (this expressly does not refer to the friendly service): => No card payment possible! That's not possible in a restaurant like this! In addition, this was not mentioned when reserving a table.

We always enjoy coming here. Everything is right for us, the food, the service and the ambience. The soul can breathe a sigh of relief... The beer garden with the many bailiffs and the wonderful greenery all around invites you to linger even more. Just sit, enjoy and relax. We would like to come again. Gaja was immediately given fresh water and was at least as welcome as we were.

The fountain keeper's house is an idyllic place that is reminiscent of bygone times. There are tables and benches under old trees, a scene straight out of French films. The service is friendly and attentive, but the food is overpriced because the portions are very small and manageable. A tarte flambée for just under €14??? In addition, card payments are not accepted, which is actually unacceptable these days and leaves room for speculation... My wish: introduce card payments and rethink the prices 😉. Nevertheless, the place invites you to linger and slow down.

The house with the ambience is great. The food was very good. Unfortunately we were served by the manager of the house. She seems a little arrogant and impersonal, almost annoyed. The other staff were very polite and attentive - when we were lucky enough to have them come to our table. We won't be back, but unfortunately that only has to do with the service. We didn't feel comfortable - it's a shame. The boss would be doing herself and the guests a favor if she stayed in the background and left the guest service to the staff.
