Our experiences with the restaurant are mixed and diametrically opposed in terms of pleasantness. Once, while heavily pregnant, I was refused access to the restroom, even though I had offered to pay. Last week, we tried to eat at the Deutsches Haus on a Wednesday. When we asked for a table, we were initially greeted rudely by the bar staff. Finally, the waitress sent us away, saying there were only two of them. It should be added that the beer garden at the back and at the front were completely empty. The tone of the announcement left us particularly dissatisfied. Our evenings with friends, which we sometimes spent at the Deutsches Haus, were culinary highlights. We've just eaten here twice during asparagus season. In addition to a classic asparagus dish with (fresh!!! - [rare enough in restaurants]) hollandaise sauce and herbed potatoes, yesterday I had a very finely seasoned salad with crispy asparagus and wild garlic pesto, which was truly delicious. The service that day was attentive and friendly. A table reservation is also recommended during the week.

Very unfriendly. There was no more room, which is fine, but I was turned around in the middle of the sentence without saying goodbye or anything and left standing in the aisle. Good service definitely works differently.

Yesterday we were there for the crime dinner. It was wonderful. Last minute Christmas present for my wife. The actors were very good, the crime story was very entertaining, and the food was phenomenal. It was an entertaining evening that unfortunately went by far too quickly. I was there in the summer and had no reason to eat there again. Prices too high for mediocre quality. The baked potato had obviously been exposed to heating for several days and you could see from afar how dirty the 3 water glasses were (stained from top to bottom, lipstick). 4.50 euros for a very small portion of pepper sauce. At least the steak wasn't served on an unappetizing, defective wooden board again, as was the case a long time ago. The meat juice ran through the board onto the table. I had a funeral coffee there the other day. The rolls were terrible and the toppings were very basic. The room at the back (barn) was far too cold. I think they rely on never-ending guests after funerals because they are strategically located to the cemetery.

Awesome food!!! Very reasonable prices, no long waiting times and nice staff. We didn't know the restaurant and were invited to eat there for the first time as part of a wedding. We have been there several times since then and will definitely eat there several more times.

Without a reservation you hardly get a seat. The veal boiled beef is similar to Vitello tonnato and gets my recommendation.

Great local! Nice staff who are always with the guests and take care of their physical well-being. Food is super delicious. It was freshly made, fries and wedges were crispy and seasoned perfectly. Keep it up!

We are happy to recommend this restaurant!! The food is not only very tasty, but also lovingly prepared on the plates. The friendly waitress (Tanja) always has an eye on everything and makes sure whether you want to drink something else. The bill also came quickly without having to "beg" for it several times. The atmosphere is extremely cozy. It wasn't the last time we were there!

We had dinner at Deutsches Haus last Saturday. Food was good and tasted good too. The portions were generous. The prices were steep. A burger cost between €19.90 and €21.90. Too expensive for a burger with fries in this atmosphere (small room, simple seating and wooden table, no table decorations, let alone a tablecloth, no salt and pepper on the table). The dining room was a simple, loveless one furnished room. There was also a small dog present who apparently had digestive problems and therefore left his waste in the middle of the room. In terms of smell, it was a real highlight. I would like to note that I was a dog owner myself and that I love animals, no matter what kind. It's a shame that there was no reaction from the staff or the owner. The likelihood of spending the evening there again is very low.

We were there as a group for a funeral and had an extra room. The lady at the service seemed to be very overwhelmed. If the hostess hadn't constantly pointed out that the guests were out of drinks and/or some drinks (e.g. tea) weren't offered. On the day of a funeral, the hostesses certainly had other thoughts and should be relieved of as much work as possible and the opposite should not happen. Not recommended for a larger group.

Sehr gemütliches rustikales Restaurant. Sehr gutes Essen in großen Portionen zu einem guten Preis. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Unbedingt die Sparerips und das Deutsche Haus Pfännchen probieren..... ist eigentlich egal, alles schmeckt. Nette Bedienung, ich gehe seit einem Jahr hier hin und war noch nie enttäuscht.

Das ist ist sensationell gut. Große Portionen zu einem angemessenen Preis. Der Service sehr freundlich.

Leckeres Essen und riesige Portionen. Kalbsschnitzel mit Pfifferlingen und Süßkartoffelpommes waren sehr gut.

Eine tolle alteingesessene Lokalität inmitten von Kaarst. Wunderschön gelegen neben der alten Kirche inmitten von kleinen Gassen, schönen Bäumen und kleine Häuschen. Super angenehmer Biergarten mit tollen Sitzmöglichkeiten in einer schönen Hofanlage. Auch vor dem Lokal und innen ist es schlichtweg wunderschön zu sitzen. Die Küche ist bezeichnend gut und bietet deutsche Gerichte abgerundet von einer perfekten Auswahl an verschiedenen Fassbier. Volle Empfehlung & immer wieder gerne.

Wir haben hier meinen 50. Geburtstag gefeiert und waren 30 Personen. Großes Lob an den Koch: das Buffet war sehr gut geplant und es hat allen richtig gut geschmeckt. Danke für den tollen Abend

Einfach die besten Schnitzel in der Umgebung und auch die Beilagen sind sensationell, vor allem die Bratkartoffeln kann ich bestens zum Schnitzel oder Steak empfehlen 😋

Das Steak war super, der Salat vielfältig nicht langweilig. Der Service ist aufmerksam. Das Schnitzel Wiener Art war mit Zitrone, Sardellen und Kapern garniert. Wo bekommt man das schon! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mal wieder um Deutschen Haus eingekehrt, Biergarten mitten in der Woche voll, aber ohne Problem und unkompliziert draußen vor der Tür Zusatztisch aufgebaut, geht! Leckeres Bier, gemischte Vorspeisen, sicher nicht frisch gemacht, aber umfangreich und lecker, dazu Brot und Aioli. Hauptgericht: Dt. Haus-Burger mit Krautsalat und Süsskartoffel Pommes, gebratene Zwiebeln und Bacon, Hammer, hat der Sohn nicht ganz aufgegessen! Matjes auf Schwarzbrot mit Salat, Salat mit Gebackenem Ziegenkäse, beides große Portionen, Dressing für den Salat könnte etwas Schärfe oder Pfiff gebrauchen! Kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben, während die Gaststätte wegen Corona geschlossen war, unser Abendessen auch das ein oder andermal bestellt und mit genommen. Es hat hervorragend geklappt und es war geschmacklich und qualitativ genau so gut wie immer. Wir freuen uns schon das wir jetzt auch wieder im Lokal essen gehen können und die Freundlichkeit der Inhaber und deren Angestellten genießen können. Kurz gesagt: Schöne gemütliche Gaststätte, sehr gutes Essen, kühle Getränke, freundliches Personal hervorragendes Peis–Leitungs Verhältnis. Ich will nicht zu viel schreiben, wenn ihr in Kaarst seid geht einfach einmal hin.

Hier kann man sehr gut essen. Das Lokal wurde umgebaut und renoviert. Seidem gefällt es mir noch besser. Immer einen Besuch wert.
