Very good food and super nice service A recommended restaurant

I ended up here for the first time by chance and ate a very tasty kebab with homemade bread. The second time, however, I got very dry industrial bread, which I didn't like at all, and unfortunately some of the salad was a bit wilted. With this fluctuating quality, which I unfortunately cannot explain, I would not come back. Too bad.

5 stars – Best kebab far and wide! “The kebab” is absolutely top! My favorite: the Istanbul kebab in sesame bread – simply unbeatably delicious! Meat, sauce, salad – everything perfectly balanced and always fresh. The sesame bread gives the whole thing that certain extra something. The quality is right, the staff is super friendly and the service is fast. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed. If you're looking for a really good kebab, you've come to the right place!

Unfortunately, for the very high price, I found the quality of the food to be too mediocre.... For me, a kebab plate has no place in balsamic dressing on the salad, the cheese in the salad was completely tasteless, the meat and the fries were okay but not outstanding, the bread and the sauces were very good. Because in Rothenburgsort you unfortunately almost only have the choice between kebab, kebab and kebab, we tried the KEBAP again, although we were quite shocked by the prices some time ago (back then around €70 for 2 people for fast food in an - albeit upscale - snack bar!!). The prices are still way too high, especially for what you get: 1 Dürum kebab (10€) in almost raw dough, meat not of good quality and not very tasty, the 3-4 fries in it are limp. The kebab plate (smaller portion €16.90) wasn't a revelation either. The flatbread beforehand was dry, the tzazik was bland (yoghurt with salt). The wine costs €7.50 per small glass, not a bargain either. The points are awarded here for the extremely nice service and the opportunity to sit outside, which is quite nice for Rothenburgsorter standards. We mourn the previous owner, where you could get a good selection of acceptable dishes for moderate prices! Too bad!

I've eaten a lot of kebabs, but this one has put them all to shame. The service was wonderful and very warm. The atmosphere is really nice and the taste is a 10 out of 10. Absolutely recommended

I recently ate at “der Kebab” and was very disappointed. The quality has declined significantly since the new owner last took over. I wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but I shouldn't have. Food very boring and bland, prices continue to explode and all of that in Rothensburgort. For this money you can eat much better quality elsewhere. I'm definitely not coming back.

I like the owner, you know him from MyKöz next door. But I have to honestly admit that he got the quality from his shop. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't taste bad. But it doesn't match the quality of its predecessor. I am particularly disappointed with Adana Spieß. Standard spies were not like before with a special taste of lamb and spices. The salad is no longer so finely chopped and so tasty marinated with pomegranate. The food/especially the Adana was the reason why I only ever went out to eat there and convinced everyone there to try it. Now the store tastes like any other store you know and it's incredibly expensive. It's no longer worth it for me but good luck nonetheless

There used to be larger portions and a wine selection, but unfortunately now it's just a kebab shop+. Staff continue to be friendly and competent. The beyti is missing butter. And the fat for the starters, quark.

We were there today and the three of us ate. At the moment it seems disorganized and the employees have to come in first. At the neighboring table (6 people), 4 received the main course and 2 only received it when the others were finished. The menu was brought to us twice by different employees. We had to alert an employee that we would like to order something. When we were finished, we wanted to pay and gave an employee information that we would like to pay by card. Unfortunately it wasn't passed on and the receipt had to be canceled. It was quite busy and there is only one checkout system, which meant we had to wait again. The employee also seemed a bit annoyed by it... Now to eat. The prices are relatively high compared to the shops in the surrounding area, but the meat was very good! Maybe that's where the price comes from. Doner/Dürüm e.g. Costs €6.50. We had a kebab plate, Iskender kebab and shepherd's salad. Unfortunately the food wasn't warm... the plates were, including the salad... The kebab plate €13.50 didn't come with any sauce. With the Iskender €15.50 the bread wasn't toasted, which meant it was just soggy and there was no liquid butter. The shepherd's salad €8.50 consisted only of tomatoes, cucumber, shepherd's cheese, a few pomegranates and balsamic vinegar. The salad was just boring. No bread or anything like that was added. I hope I remembered the prices correctly, but they are within the range. We will give Der Kebap some time and try it again and report back. ‐---------------------- Addendum: A lot has changed now – for the better! The meat is still an absolute dream and the entire process is now much more organized. We now really enjoy going there, especially with children, who are very welcome there. The meat platter and the Dürüm are now our absolute favorites!

The food tastes very good. Unfortunately it wasn't as hot as expected. The service is super nice and attentive. But there is still plenty of room for improvement when it comes to ambience. You feel like you're sitting in the middle of it all and it's uncomfortably loud.

I traveled and ate all over Europe. But here, the presentation, food tastes, interest and relevance were at a very high level. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. I would like to thank the waiter who took care of me. Thanks to the chef's hand, the food was at a very high level. 8.50 euros for a medium-sized doner kebab :( - absolutely not recommended, bitten twice on Korpel...never again!

During the visit, the tables and chairs were loudly pushed back and forth across the floor. This was very disturbing and no one from the staff showed any consideration. We ate quickly and left the restaurant.

The kebab has been very strong so far, but the new bread has reduced it significantly to a smaller, run-of-the-mill kebab. I would like you to change that again

The appetizers were absolutely delicious! I ordered chicken shish - it was fresh and nice but it didn't have the marinated taste turkish chicken has - it wasn't bad though. The waiter was nice and the place was clean and tastefully designed.

I really enjoyed coming here. Yes, it's a little more expensive than average, but it's mostly worth it. Unfortunately, takeaway is not their forte. For the second time I noticed that the quality was decreasing. This time I ordered Beyti, which I think is really strong there. Unfortunately the skewer was pretty burnt. This was nicely hidden in the yogurt. The vegetables were also very burnt. Actually more black than vegetables. Also unfortunately cold. We usually ordered some rice or bulgur with it, which until now has always been provided instead of bread. This time I had to pay for a whole portion. The bulgur was extremely dry and €3.50 – well, I don’t know. I also think that the skewers taste different than usual. Either because of the burnt bread or a different spice mixture. My food was also served between vegetable boxes and cleaning rags. Which isn't all that appetizing. When I wanted to say something about the food, they probably didn't really understand me. Well, €27 for burnt food and dry bulgur served under questionable circumstances, I won't spend any more here. That's better.

Det var en virkelig dårlig oplevelse for det første var musikken virkelig høj, for det andet var osten på vores pizza virkelige saltet og så tog det også virkelig lang tid om at lave det og fair nok hvis det er pizzaen der tager lang tid men vi ventede i 1 time og så begyndte de bare at pege på alle inde i restauranten. vi bestilte en durum og 2 pizzaer og ville aldrig komme tilbage som i ALDRIG komme tilbage!

Worst dürüm. Plus an unfriendly colleague who couldn't even roll the dürüm firmly. Better go to Döner kitchen at the train station in Rothenburgsort. Completely different league 🔥

The food was very tasty, but I didn't really listen to the order and I got the wrong one. But with the right ingredients it would have been delicious. When we ordered a drink later, it was forgotten and only brought after we ordered again. The music was too loud and some advertisements were playing. All of this is true even though there isn't much going on.

Unfortunately we didn't have such a good experience in this store today. As always, I ordered a Beyti (usually relatively mild) and this time it was really spicy. It was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. When I asked why it was so spicy today, I was told that it was made from Adana and the spiciness was normal. Afterwards, the statement came that the Adana was being prepared particularly sharply today. Unfortunately I could only eat 1-2 pieces and had to stop. Instead of the food being exchanged or me being offered alternatives, I was “nicely” given a bowl full of yoghurt so that I could suppress the spiciness... The table next door also noticed this and it became an issue that even he asked the waitress to give me to bring something new. Unfortunately in vain. After my food was packed, we were served tea as a crowning finale 🙏🏼 I didn't make a fuss about it, but the fact that after the second mention I still wasn't offered or brought anything is really unfortunate in an industry where the customer is supposed to be "queen".

I sat down with my friends and after an hour still no waiter came to me. Three waiters simply stood in front of the counter and sang along instead of clearing, cleaning and serving tables. The waiters preferred to talk to each other and joke around. It's a shame I would have expected more with so many employees and few tables.

I don't know if I was very hungry or because I found a taste of us abroad, what kind of taste is it? I can't tell you how much I ate it with appetite and pleasure, thank you. Note: I am a truck driver, we cannot find these delicacies abroad, especially since I work Scandinavian, this is my thought after days of longing for kebab. If I ever go to Germany, I would definitely like to repeat this beautiful moment.

Stopped here spontaneously after a walk. We received a very friendly welcome and found a place outside quickly and easily. The service was friendly, unobtrusive and quick. The food was delicious and the portion was generous. Another spontaneous, good decision.

Was here again on the evening of September 16th and 17th, 2024. This time with my wife. The very friendly and attentive lady (Sero) who served us made me increase the service rating to five stars this time. We were well looked after outside on the terrace. The kebabs were extremely tasty (as usual), the pizza margarita was also very tasty, but it could have stayed in the oven a little longer. It doesn't matter, it's not a big deal. As long as the friendly female waiter (Sero) is there to help us, we will come back more often! I ate a kebab in bread here on March 9, 2024. The additional plate I wanted was brought to me, but it was only suitable for storage. Too small to eat with a knife and fork, but with a little skill I managed to do it. The veal kebab was one of the tastiest I've ever been served. The salad in particular tasted higher quality. Another visit is foreseeable.

A very well-kept appearance, great furnishings, very attentive and nice staff, the food is extremely tasty and the toilets are also impeccably clean. The only point of criticism is the fries, which cost just under €4 for an extra portion. I think it's crazy.

Hello We were with 6 people in the restaurant for the 2nd time. On the first visit everything was great, the food was great, the waitress was top BUT on the 2nd visit we waited almost 2 hours for our food....A waitress on the terrace incapable of working as a waitress was more busy talking to the men (other guests) super unfriendly and very conceited!!!! The other waitress then came (very nice) and did her best. When it came to paying, the unfriendly waitress called us peasants, so to speak...sorry, that's not possible. THERE WAS A LOUD DISPUTE WITH THE WAITRESS...we're sorry that it came to this.. ..... but the waitress doesn't work at all and should look for another job!!!!! Otherwise everything is perfect, it's just about this unfriendly and incompetent waitress!!!!

I could have imagined this was in Galata. The food was delicious. I can highly recommend the beyti and the kazandibi. This is the real thing. The service is really friendly and music adds to the atmosphere. Personally I would have just preferred to dim the interior lights a bit.

After a long walk, I stopped to eat at this restaurant. We served donerteller❤️, that is, rice with salad and veal meat, something extraordinarily delicious and with the sauces brought separately for you to choose according to your own appetite and taste! On Saturday afternoon I was in the restaurant with my girlfriend and everything was fine at first. However, we noticed the waitress who served us negatively. She was in her early forties and extremely unfriendly. As a regular customer, I really appreciate this restaurant and am disappointed to experience such treatment. A pleasant atmosphere and friendly service are crucial for a positive restaurant experience. If you don't like your job or are unable to treat customers with respect, you may want to consider another job. Unfriendly staff can turn off regulars and potential new customers. Thanks!

Today we were here for lunch for the first time. There was a fine selection and we got very tasty food. The staff was friendly and accommodating as always. Weather (sunny, warm) and the music and we thought we were on vacation.

This is not a classic kebab bistro, but a very nice restaurant with good food. In addition to kebabs in different ways, they also have pizza.

We were there for lunch. We asked for the rice to be replaced with fries. We were informed that fries would cost EUR 2.50 extra. We accepted that, but still asked to leave out the rice. Unfortunately our wish was not fulfilled. The kebab plate came with rice and the food was only lukewarm. Since it was a lunch break, there was no time to return.

The kebab plate with veal and rice was super delicious. Nice service! Hard to find parking spaces.

Whenever we are in the corner, it is mandatory to eat something there. Chic, clean store with really friendly staff. Great, stay that way. 👍

Actually a chic kebab restaurant. The ingredients of the kebab are ok. What doesn't work at all is the cocktail sauce. 5 liter bucket of mayo and Hela ketchup and mixed with a paint stirrer, done. At least that's how the sauce tastes. Unfortunately a spreading phenomenon in Hamburg. It doesn't taste good and doesn't go well with kebab.
