Friendly service, good, simple dishes. No frills. The price is reasonable by German standards, though it's quite touristy here. You have a beautiful view of the hills and you can let your kids play on the Aventura play mountain while you enjoy a beer on the terrace!

This is the third year we've eaten here from CenterParc, a group of six with four children. The food has been delicious and plentiful every time. The service is very attentive and friendly. The view and ambiance are fantastic, and we'd love to come back.

A nice mountain hut with a beautiful view. If you just want a drink, this is the place. The food is okay, but nothing more, and the price is a bit too high for me.

The owner of the restaurant should rethink their opening hours during the summer. Open until 7 p.m.? The party really starts at 7 p.m.! We were there around 7:05 p.m., and there were about 10-15 people sitting outside on the terrace, drinking and eating. They refused to sell us ice cream to go, and the waitress told us, "We're closed." Unfortunately, this isn't customer-friendly service, hence only 1 star 🌟 Honestly, I don't recommend it! The playground is amazing!

Headline in Medebach: Tourists die of thirst in beer garden because their signals and calls were ignored. After 20 minutes, the person at the next table called for help.

We've been there several times, and unfortunately, it's not getting any better. It's a nice spot in itself. The kids can play on the hill, and then you can have a drink and a bite to eat. Unfortunately, there are always long waits for food. Today we actually waited 90 minutes and had to ask or reconsider several times. The worst thing, however, is the restrooms. There are far too few toilets for so many guests. Women, in particular, sometimes have to wait 20-30 minutes. Every snack bar has so many toilets. Added to that is the paid parking lot, which is a 10-minute uphill walk and a total disaster when paying. But no one in Medebach wants to hear about that. Locals don't count, and tourists aren't taken seriously; plenty of them come every year anyway. You can tell that profit/profit comes before anything else here (typical of the tourism industry). Unfortunately, it's become unattractive for locals and not worth recommending.

The menu seemed promising at first glance, and we were looking forward to a pleasant restaurant visit. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to its promise: the taste and presentation were more reminiscent of a snack bar. For coffee and cake, a cold drink, or just a cozy place to sit and relax, I can absolutely recommend the Hasenstall. However, we personally wouldn't go back for a good meal.

The view was very nice. The food was very expensive and not freshly cooked. We told the waitress that we wanted the fries back because they weren't hot, but the waitress touched them with her fingers and hands. That's unacceptable; it's disgusting. The plate was then taken away. When it came back, the fries were burnt, so they must have just been thrown back in the fryer. They were hard and inedible, and we were visibly uncomfortable saying anything again. So we had fries that were reheated and touched with the waitress's hands. Charging €20 for them without a side salad, as you can imagine, is cheeky. After asking if they tasted good, I mentioned that the fries weren't good, but no one cared.

Super nice restaurant with a fantastic view. Kids can play on the adventure playground while parents watch from the large terrace! Food is good, service is very friendly and helpful with any questions. We'd love to go back!

Nice atmosphere and a great view. When we arrived on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., we were told we could just get a quick coffee, the cake was almost out, and we'd be closing at 4 p.m. The tone was irritated, and a waitress made herself comfortable on the terrace with cake and coffee.

On the edge of a free playground, quite pricey. No service on the terrace when there were not many people sitting there. Very tasty!

We came in with three adults and two children after going to the playground. The food was delicious and the service was actually very nice. However, there was one thing that I found very unfortunate - especially since it is a restaurant right next to a playground: my daughter (3 years old) was very tired and overexcited at lunchtime and I had tried everything to calm her down, unfortunately nothing helped that day. At some point the staff came to me and asked me if I could calm my daughter down or go outside for a moment - guests probably wouldn't have come in because of us. Unfortunately, that didn't go down well with me - as I just had to get the other child in who was alone outside. Certainly not just the restaurant's problems - but it doesn't lead to a good rating from me.

The portions were plentiful and very tasty. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Not to forget the great view you have from the terrace.

Spent today on the climbing playground and had lunch here. Prices are a little more expensive than usual for this type of lure. The view is very nice, but when the weather is good it is quite crowded. The food we ordered was served in less than 10 minutes, so it was clear that it wasn't freshly cooked and that's how it was. The open potato was cooked the way it tasted and then probably warmed up in the oven, as was the goulash soup. The only thing that was freshly made was probably salad and fries with schnitzel, although portions were quite large and tasted good.

We were there with 7 people. Sat outside and enjoyed the view. The food was delicious and the staff was flexible and friendly. However, it is a shame that there are no toilets for the Spielberg. This causes the toilet in the rabbit hutch to overflow and take a lot of use.

I walked up to the rabbit hutch with my son to eat. The disappointment was great when we stood in front of closed doors. Unfortunately it was neither on site nor on the internet why or how long it was closed :-(

For us it was a rather mixed stay in the rabbit hutch. The ambience and the view are really great and give a real hut feeling. The food is rather average, the pork fillet was unfortunately very well done and the salad seemed bland and out of a bag. Now unfortunately to the negative point, the service. We reserved a table for 12 people for our birthday. Unfortunately, we were assigned three small, separate tables that we were allowed to push together amidst critical comments from the staff. At the end (after we gave a tip) we were asked who would give it back. Otherwise the service was quick but not friendly. Definitely recommended for drinking beer outside in the sun, but not for eating out.

Very tasty food at fair prices. The ambience, especially the view of the mountains, is beautiful. We had schnitzel, soup and filet, everything was very good and more than worth the price.

What a travesty this restaurant is. Went earlier at 5:45 PM but the kitchen was already closed (this is normal at 6:00 PM). We were told to come a little earlier next time Went again 2 days later but at 4.45 pm. Unfortunately, I climbed this mountain again for nothing. It was quiet so we closed early. We certainly won't be going here for a bite to eat anymore.

We are here again and are very satisfied. The location and furnishings are great and very comfortable. The outdoor area also invites you to relax in the sun, with a view of nature and the playground. The waitresses are consistently friendly and helpful. The food is really high quality and prepared with love. Everything is made fresh and you can taste it. Exceptional offers. Something for everyone. Lovingly decorated. Everything is very clean. We felt very comfortable. We can absolutely recommend the rabbit hutch!!!

The hasenstall has become one of my favorite restaurants! Firstly, the view is amazing and the ambience in and around the restaurant is terrific. Despite the great location and tourism through Center Parc, the prices are very reasonable and most importantly, the portions are definitely filling! Price performance ratio top. Employees always friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back

Super unfriendly! When you come in, there is a reserved ticket on all tables, which are empty. No cat. When we sit down somewhere, they angrily chase us away and want to find a place for 2 in the other part. They finally tell us to sit back where we were and leave half an hour later. They only come 5 minutes later to ask what we want, while the 4 of them are constantly behind the bar chatting, drinking, snacking, and talking on their mobile phones. Then another person passes by who doesn't say anything, but asks what we want in a 'what the heck' manner. Said that the order has been placed. She also sees that they are just lazing around behind the bar and joins them for a nice chat. Finally, after 1 o'clock no one came to our table, but we didn't feel like standing and watching their chatter behind the bar any longer. When leaving, I saw that half of the tables in the other section were empty without a ticket reserved. So bad. By the way, there is a 'bitte warten' plaque at the entrance to that other part, but no one is there and no one came when we were there. Ah no, because they were all chatting and drinking behind the bar. Never again! So unfriendly! I don't recommend it to anyone.

The ambience is very, very nice but the food is unfortunately not recommended, unfortunately the fried potatoes were warmed up and the fat literally flowed out of the schnitzel 😞 the salad was very sandy and that's actually a disgrace for this price.

Wie der Chef, so die Bedingung. Nach einer 15-minütigen Wartezeit ( was beim wundervollen Wetter, völlig ok is) kam die Bedienung mit einer herablassenden Bemerkung: "Ja, ich sehe, dass Sie seit 15 Sekunden sitzen." Doch das war leider nicht das Schlimmste. Als ich mich höflich über den Service beschwerte, reagierte der Chef selbst äußerst unprofessionell mit den Worten: "Wenn es Ihnen nicht gefällt, gehen Sie doch woanders hin." Diese respektlose Haltung zeigt, dass Gäste hier anscheinend nicht willkommen sind. Ich kann das Restaurant daher niemandem empfehlen – es gibt sicherlich bessere Alternativen in der Gegend

Nice location but unfriendly service – disappointing experience The restaurant is right next to a busy adventure playground, which ensures a constant flow of customers - and that's exactly how the staff behave. Despite several attempts to wave, we had to wait 15 minutes (not a problem at all when the weather is great) for the waitress to arrive, only to be greeted with a condescending comment: "Yes, I see you've been sitting for 15 seconds." When I raised the issue of poor service, the boss himself responded unprofessionally by saying, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else." Despite the beautiful location, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the unfriendly and disrespectful treatment.

The star is given for being reachable by telephone. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the ambience and food in this review because we didn't get that far. Since we currently have a relative with severe walking difficulties visiting and wanted to go to the Hasenstall/Aventura with her and her family, I asked by phone whether I could drive to the restaurant. At least the staff also drives up and the barrier at the bottom is quite easy to operate from a distance. I didn't even get to explain it in more detail. As soon as I asked my question, I received a rude and stern “NO!” listen. No explanation, no apology, nothing. This means that a large number of people (elderly people who are not good at walking, people with disabilities, sick people...) are excluded in advance. I'm pissed off! This is discrimination and should be urgently reconsidered by those responsible!

Short and sweet: -Beautifully located, wonderful view over the Medebach Bay -Service extremely overwhelmed. You are overlooked or ignored. It's a shame because we wanted to have a lot of drinks. - Drinks and food are expensive, the cuisine is of a good, middle-class standard. There are no culinary highlights. The drinks menu is well filled. -Due to the monopoly position, a company that can milk your guests because there is no alternative. There is a kiosk and a drinks vending machine, Sinalco Cola 0.5 from the PET bottle costs 4.20 euros. - Wet benches are not dried, no seat cushions or blankets. You can do it, you will do it, you don't have to do it.

Basically everything was very tasty and the service was also very friendly. The prices are quite expensive but the quality is also good. BUT fake bunny with fried egg, fried potatoes, sauce and side salad for 13.50€ is not in proportion to the children's burger for 11:50€ - here the child got a dry burger (just a thin simple patty, dry burger bun and simple fries (ketchup and you could add mayo yourself). That shouldn't cost more than €6.

They charge 5 Euros for disgusting AUTOMATED MACHINE MADE COFFEE. For 5 Euros I'd expect a barista made coffee with a milk of my choice, double shot. This is literally a crime

Very very expensive in terms of price. 2 coffees for almost €10 and the cups were only half full. I recommend everyone to take drinks and food with them. Tip: A marble for the marble run costs €2 in the Centerpark and €3 on the track.

The "Hasenstall" is located next to a large adventure playground on Bromberg. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our food came so quickly that I joked that we must have received plates that someone had returned. However, we actually wondered whether plates that had already been prepared were being brought out because the food was cold before it was in front of us - and at prices that weren't exactly squeamish. A children's portion of pasta with tomato sauce cost 7.50 euros. My husband had a salad with chicken strips and I had a baked potato, also with chicken strips. I have never had a cold baked potato before in my life, I didn't even know this was possible as in my experience potatoes stay hot for hours! The chicken strips were also cold and cost an extra 5 euros each for about 6 strips! Overall, I would recommend families with smaller children to bring food to the playground instead of eating in the bunny hutch, as there are no family-friendly prices here. Get a maximum of one ice cream or cold drink from the kiosk on a hot day!

We went here for lunch after spending time at the playground. The food was very tasty. I had a baked potato, my husband had the fake rabbit and our daughter had a classic children's dish. There is nothing to complain about in terms of quality and preparation time. The taste is also good to very good. Only the pricing (relatively expensive) and the temperature in the dining room (pretty cold) are minimal points of criticism. You're welcome to keep it up!

wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern und Oma & Opa dort. Nachdem wir an einen Tisch gesetzt wurden, fragte uns eine unfreundliche Bedienung, ob wir reserviert hätten. Nachdem wir ihr sagten, dass wir hier hingesetzt wurden, antwortete sie, dass sie auch nur so gefragt habe. Nachdem sie wortlos unsere Bestellung aufgenommen hatte, bekamen wir nach etwa 5min die ersten Getränke, worunter eins war, welches wir nicht bestellt hatten. Nachdem man dies dann abgeklärt hatte, war man so gnädig, dieses ausnahmsweise von unserer Rechnung zu nehmen. Das Essen war durchschnittlich lecker, nichts besonderes. Außer die Fliege, die wir, leider zum Ende hin erst, in der Vanillesauce entdeckten. Als wir dies ansprachen, wurde sich dafür nicht entschuldigt. Lediglich ein Augenbraunhochziehen hatte die Bedienung dafür übrig. Als wir dann die Lokalität mit unserem Kinderwagen verlassen wollten, standen die Bedienungen, im Kassenbereich, so im Weg, dass ein Durchkommen kaum möglich war. „Leider“ fuhr ich dabei einer der Damen über den Fuß … es wäre genug Platz gewesen um mich eben gewähren zu lassen. An sich ein gemütliches Ambiente, aber Essen und Bedienung schlecht … daher nicht wieder.

After a 1.5 hour drive on the way to vacation in the Sauerland, we took a break here. Since it's the holiday season, it was very crowded here. Our son has trouble with wasps, which made visiting the beer garden difficult for us. We were kindly allocated a table inside. The view is beautiful 😍 We hadn't eaten anything. Drinks were okay, iced coffee a bit watery, iced chocolate great. Toilets were also clean. Staff very friendly. Prices ok.

Been here last year and visited again because of the good experiences. Again we were not disappointed! The food, staff and ambience were again top.

Very nice atmosphere with a wide view, the restaurant is nice and the staff is very nice. We didn't have to wait long for the food. The prices are okay. Unfortunately, the toilet wasn't that clean, which may be due to the fact that they are open to the public (but then for 50ct) as the restaurant is located directly on Spielberg. But you could perhaps make sure that the toilets remain clean. All in all it was a good visit and we all got enough.

Went there today with 4 people and 2 children. In terms of food, the currywurst fries were very mushy, not like you normally would. The chicken nuggets were very oily and soggy... Well, you can't go wrong with bottled beer. There are 2 stars for the ambience Wouldn't recommend it!

We actually really enjoyed our stay, but the food was quite expensive for the quantity and quality. The fake rabbit was quite tasty, although not really good and only half a plate... So really only half a plate, the other half was empty! The ambience and the view are great and the service is also courteous and fast.

Tomato soup that tastes like tomato sauce. Children's hamburgers carelessly prepared. Bread meatballs ready. We don't even want to talk about the prices. Every chip shop does it better.

Food and ambience were good. Only the staff was probably a bit overwhelmed on July 16, 2024. Actually, the outside terrace was only about 10% full, but somehow the staff was only able to take each table one by one and then go inside and get a glass jug with cutlery. Then it was the turn of the next table and the cutlery jug again. Maybe it was due to the smartphone used to take orders, which could only take one order at a time. Probably saved money on the software license model. Paper and pen is even cheaper and probably faster.

Our kindergarten took the children to Spielberg, where it is inevitable that they will need to relieve themselves at some point. Although staff were present in the restaurant (the restaurant was not yet open), the children were not allowed to use the toilets. Undignified!

We ate here several times during our vacation. Anyone who complains about the prices has never eaten in a mountain hut. The prices for what is on offer are completely acceptable. Especially since the hut and the terrace offer a fantastic view. There are some restrictions due to Corona, including for staff. We were still served in a friendly and reliable manner. Another tip. You should have a bit of fitness. It's always uphill to the rabbit hutch and you definitely shouldn't miss the climb to the highest point of the Aventura playground, great view. If we're in the area soon, we'll definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the blackcurrant spritzer was just mineral water with a dash of juice. The pretzel was without salt. The children's meals are too expensive for the small portions. For the high price you should expect more.

I can't understand the negative reviews regarding the prices. Perfectly ok for a large burger + good portion of fries €18.90 👌🏻 Beer costs €4.80 for 0.4l. Also completely fine. Many people may forget that you are not in the small pub in the middle of Bielefeld or something like that. Then just take sandwiches with you if you want to go to the playground. Service was great. I was always asked whether I would like another beer or whether everything was OK. Ice cream to go is also great for the kids. Normal Prices. I could easily spend a day here.

Currywurst + fries = €12.50! That's sporty! And the annoyance of the extremely busy and fast service staff is a bit sad to see, even though I know that customers can often be incredibly stressful and stupid and bold. A little more honest friendliness and a Snickers for the soul every now and then - or a currywurst for an hourly wage 🙈 - and everything is better! 🙂
