The food is solidly good, as you'd expect from most Greek restaurants. The appetizer platter was forgotten. Otherwise, everything was fine. The decor is quite original and charmingly kitschy. We'd gladly come back.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable. I'd like to see anyone who can't get a full meal here for under €20. And it's delicious too.

Everything was somehow not right, it was cold and not comfortable, the food came late for 2 people and the waitresses had a bad day or were new and the food was really not good, maybe we caught a bad day which is a shame

The food and service are good to very good. I highly recommend it. However, I have one comment. Online table reservations are no longer possible, as the owner and staff told me. I reserved online and then called to check, just in case. We wouldn't have gotten a table otherwise.

I've been eating here for 20 years and have always been very satisfied. Customer service is especially important. I also noticed that they now offer a delicious vegan salad. It tastes absolutely delicious with the fresh bread.

The food was cold and it took a very long time

First, the small, brown-eyed, stout SK literally LOST the order, and then the waiter, of his own accord, added an EXTRA salad to the bill. Simply insanely bad.

We've been coming here for years. We used to live nearby and would occasionally get food. Even after a 5 km drive, the food is still hot. Now we like to eat there. The staff (mostly female) are always friendly and accommodating. The food is always very good.

It's a shame, they could have made a bit more of it. First of all, friendly and attentive service. In my personal opinion, I have problems with the food. I had saganaki with homemade fresh bread as a starter, but unfortunately the bread wasn't homemade. The main course was bifteki. In my opinion, the minced meat wasn't cooked through and was therefore too soft. The tomato sauce was extremely acidic. I couldn't eat it. For me, the food wasn't good. But I would like to point out that tastes differ. This isn't mine.

Absolutely recommended! The portion sizes are generous, and they even offer special menus for seniors. I could easily live off the delicious homemade bread that comes with everything.

The food is very good, the portions are large. Everything is top-notch.

Most of the food was very tasty. Unfortunately the bifteki wasn't filled with feta or sheep's cheese and wasn't to my taste. Unfortunately, the service forgot something for us three times and a touch more friendliness would have been appropriate. The bottom line is that we can still recommend it, especially because of the beautiful ambience.

Food is okay, but as soon as you order a plate, the portions on the plate become smaller, i.e. a maximum of 2 tablespoons of gyros, a bit of fillet, etc. It's an expensive tasting plate.

For the third time now, the food was only lukewarm even though the gyros were still over-baked.

I think pictures say more than words! Last night I had a great evening at a Greek restaurant with my wife. We are always impressed by the quality and are happy to drive for a while. Ambience top! Food top! Service top! We'll be back as always!

Ordered takeaway food. The order was ready for pickup at the specified time and was well packaged. The food itself was tasty, but like almost everywhere, it was what was sold as Germanized Greek cuisine. There's still something missing for the full 5 stars.

Our regular Greek for more than three decades

Small, cozy restaurant located in the middle of the old town. Very great atmosphere. Friendly staff. I can recommend it without hesitation.

The Greek is an absolute must for all lovers of Greek cuisine! We had a wonderful evening and can only recommend the restaurant. The atmosphere is authentic and cozy – it almost feels like you are in the heart of Greece. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Our questions about the food were answered patiently and you immediately notice that people work here with passion and love for Greek culture. About the food: The selection is varied and offers both traditional classics and some modern interpretations. We had the mixed starter platter which was to die for – fresh tzatziki, crispy saganaki and aromatic dolmadakia. For the main course we had the gyros - both dishes were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right. The portions are generous and the quality of the ingredients is outstanding. At the end there was a delicious ouzo on the house, which rounded off the evening perfectly. Conclusion: The Greek is a fantastic restaurant that offers authentic Greek cuisine at a high level. We will definitely be back and can only recommend it to anyone who wants a piece of Greece in the middle of the city!

Simply bad, we were there today at 1:20 p.m. (wedding day) right at the entrance we were told that there would only be take-away food, the shop was empty in our field of vision. We won't be dining there anymore.

We like to go to The Greek. Nice ambience, great staff and delicious Greek food. The garlic bread and the tzatziki are particularly recommended, homemade and delicious.

We often order food outside the house and have done so for tens of years. We remained loyal to the restaurant even during the difficult Corona period. We love the simple gyro plate. Now we have been disappointed twice in a row, because the salad was really not good, the bread was very little, there was no more dip and the always delicious dessert is no longer available outside of the house as an accompaniment (but that wouldn't be for us said) We only noticed this at home. The first time we thought it was a mistake, especially for our birthday. The second time we just looked sadly at a few slices of stale bread. We usually order from 4 people on special occasions. The meat, fries & Tzatziki were delicious. The rice (instead of fries) was far too little, as there was only about 1 tablespoon. Ordering by telephone was also very tiring, some were constantly busy and there were communication problems because the background was too loud."Out-of-home ordering "We'll avoid it for now...

The food was very good and the waiting time was fine because of the freshness of the food! The only thing is that you can only pay with an EC card from the Sparkasse.

My worst restaurant experience so far. The salad wasn't fresh, too much garlic in the tzatziki, greasy, poorly seasoned gyros, rancid tasting bifteki with no idea what kind of cheese (definitely not feta) and the rice wasn't cooked through at all. We weren't offered any schnapps or dessert either. We really needed a schnapps :) The appetizer platter was ok.

Wir haben 2 Gerichte aus der Mittagskarte gewählt. Einmal Bifteki und einmal die Delfi Platte. Beide Gerichte waren einfach nur ausgezeichnet. Was uns beiden besonders gut gefallen hat, einmal beim Griechen kein Reis und keine Pommes, stattdessen griechische Kartoffeln. Spitzenmässig. Wir können "Der Grieche" nur weiter empfehlen.

I ordered two dishes to pick up by phone on July 27th, 2024 at 9 p.m. I picked this up at 9:30 p.m. as agreed. Unfortunately, when I got home I discovered that the fries were missing from one dish. Since it was already after 10 p.m., I couldn't complain about the missing fries until the next day. The first thing the lady on the phone asked me in a very unfriendly tone was "why are you only calling now?". Excuse me? None! I explained the above reason to the lady and asked about possible compensation. The lady was not at all insightful and seemed aggressive and overwhelmed. She also talked to other customers in the restaurant which is also pretty rude. The aggressive tone towards me ultimately led to me ending the call without reaching an agreement. Very sad how well-paying customers who quite rightly want to complain about something are treated here. We definitely no longer feel welcome and are therefore staying away from the restaurant from now on!

Been here for the first time today. The waitresses were very attentive, nice and everything went very quickly. Tzatziki was great, with a lot of garlic, I like that kind of thing. I also really enjoyed the plate with gyros, souvlaki and bifteki. The atmosphere outside and inside was very chic. The sanitary facilities don't need to be hidden either, great! At the end an ouzo or dessert was offered, on the house. I have never experienced anything like this at a Greek restaurant, very good. If it's suitable, I'd be happy to come by again.

The food was very tasty, no seasoning was necessary, but there were too many large potatoes, so two smaller potatoes would have been enough, and there were too many onions with the liver. The meat was well fried, very tasty and juicy. It is definitely recommended, despite the unfriendly service.

Update: There used to be pepperoni and feta cheese in the salad... Savings plans? Finally you can sit outside and enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere. The starters are particularly recommended.

A solid restaurant. You get what you expect from a Greek restaurant in Germany. I was expecting a fuller restaurant on Ascension Day but it was surprisingly empty. Accordingly, after about an hour we were finished ordering and eating... The service was quick and nice. The tzatziki was really very good! At the end of the evening we were the last guests, the girls from the service were already finishing work and we waited a long time to be able to pay... But all in all it was a nice evening...

The location is very comfortably furnished and clean. At the window seat facing the parking lot it was only occasionally cold. It made you feel a little fresh. The service staff was quite friendly. The portions of the lunch menu were sufficient, but smaller than those on the regular menu. These portions were really very large and barely fit on the plate. Everything tasted very good!! The restaurant is definitely worth a visit and I will happily come back.

It's better to specify when making your reservation: Please not the space next to the toilet door. There you can hear the goings-on in the toilet. In addition, the seats there are very dirty. We were not offered a replacement and preferred to leave. Very unfortunate......

**Disappointing experience at The Greek Gyros** My visit to The Greek Gyros left a bitter taste. When the food was served my disappointment was reinforced. The gyros I was looking forward to tasted old and no longer freshly prepared. The quality of the meat left a lot to be desired and the side dishes didn't seem fresh either. However, what was even more disappointing than the food itself was the service staff's response to our complaints. Despite us making our displeasure clear, there was no apology from the staff, let alone any inquiry as to how the situation could be improved. It seemed as if the employees had no interest in customer satisfaction or were simply unprepared to handle complaints appropriately. Overall, my visit to The Greek Gyros was an extremely unpleasant experience that thoroughly spoiled my appetite for Greek food. Unfortunately, given the lack of commitment to quality and customer service, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Ich kann dieses Lokal leider nicht besser bewerten, aufgrund dessen, dass wir ein Bifteki bestellt haben und vorher gefragt haben ob dort Fetakäse drinnen ist, diese Frage wurde uns mit Ja beantwortet. Als wir das Bifteki bekamen, Floß uns der Käse regelrecht über den gesamten Teller, sofort war uns klar, dass kann kein Fetakäse sein, erneut sprachen wir es an und wurden damit abgespeist, dass dort Fetakäse drinnen sei. Als wir das Restaurant verlassen haben, wollten wir dieses nochmal drinnen ansprechen, damit nicht alle Gästen die draußen saßen, es mitbekommen. Dort wurden wir von der gesamten Kellnertruppe inkl. Chef, frech angemotzt, dass dort Feta drin gewesen sei und auch GAUDA, ob der Feta Anteil nun 10% oder 90% beträgt, sei dabei unrelevant, dieses müssten sie nicht in die Karte schreiben. Ich fande es einfach nur frech wie man mit seinen Gästen umgeht, obwohl dieser explizit auf eine Sache hingewiesen hat und sich letztendlich rausgestellt hat, dass dort nicht nur Feta drin war. Am schlimmsten finde ich aber, dass von dem kompletten Personal keine Einsicht da war, sich nicht entschuldigt worden, sondern man wirklich frech angemotzt wurde, und zwar so laut, dass alle Gäste es draußen doch mitbekommen haben. Der Gast ist König, trifft hier leider überhaupt nicht zu. Wir setzen keinen Fuß mehr in diesen Laden.

Sehr gutes Essen, netter Service ,typische Griechische Ambiente. Hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Das einzige, Parkplätze direkt vor Ort begrenzt aber 3-5 Minuten zu Fuß sind mehrere große Parkplätze vorhanden.

Griechische Gastfreundschaft sucht man hier vergebens. Der Chef ist eher wortkarg. Die Zahlungsaufforderung wegen Feierabend auch sehr uncharmant. Das Essen war durchschnittlich. Der Salat ein kleines Highlight. Das Lokal ist nett gestaltet. Es macht sich nicht der Wunsch breit, diese Gaststätte noch einmal aufzusuchen.

Sehr gutes Essen mit gutem Service. Preise sind angepasst. Vorsicht 😁 Tzatziki hat viiieeel Knoblauch. Ich fand es genial aber meine Frau später nicht so 😜😁

Es hat gezogen wie Hechtsuppe im Restaurant. Das Mett war nicht richtig durchgebraten, das musste dann noch mal in die Küche... wenn man zusammen essen möchte ist das blöd! Wenn man nach einem Ouzo gefragt wird beim bezahlen, dann denke ich man kann auf ein freundliches "Yammas" hoffen? Da wurden die Gläschen nur abgestellt... schade!

Es hat super geschmeckt, war echt lecker 😋. Netter und freundlicher Service. Der griechische Joghurt mit griechischem Honig war sehr lecker. Normalerweise gibt es noch frisches Obst und Nüsse mit dabei. Komm gerne wieder.
