I can absolutely recommend the Flying Italian! The salami pizza last night was really delicious. The delivery time was excellent and our food arrived hot. No complaints whatsoever.

It's not accessible by car, but easily accessible on foot or by bike. The food is delicious. Some days it's difficult to find a seat, but that's only if you don't have a reservation, of course. A great Italian restaurant with lots of extras.

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. The portions were generous. We were especially pleased with the garlic and chili powder on the table. We'd be happy to go back :D

The Flying Italian in Landau is a small Italian restaurant with a few tables outside. Since the weather wasn't great on the day of our visit, there was no outside service. So we sat in the small, quite pleasant, and not too cramped interior. We ordered two pizzas from the extensive pizza selection, which, while not particularly surprising, was rather standard. But that can be done well or badly. Here, unfortunately, it was very poorly done. After about a half-hour wait, the first pizza arrived. The friendly waitress announced that the second would be arriving in a few seconds. Those few seconds took a good five minutes. It can happen, and we readily accepted the waitress's apology. However, as for the quality of the pizzas, we must say that it is absolutely unacceptable. The spinach and mozzarella pizza was almost unseasoned, the spinach tasteless, and the abundant cheese wasn't mozzarella, but rather, we suspected, a cheap Gouda from the supermarket. The dough was supposed to be crispy around the edges, but it was just hard and almost impossible to cut, which was also due to the blunt knives provided. Unfortunately, it was also almost impossible to eat the pizza out of hand, as the inside was just wobbly due to the aforementioned cheese mixture. The Parma pizza was no better. The Parma ham was more like a heavily smoked cheap ham, the cheese was the aforementioned, but thankfully in smaller quantities, the arugula leaves were carelessly scattered, and the Parmesan cheese from the bag was poured over the top rather haphazardly. The dough couldn't save it either; it was even harder than that of the previously described pizza. Now, one might argue that for €11.50 or €13.90, one can't expect anything better. We don't share this view, but we would still be willing to pay a few euros more for good quality. We sincerely hope the kitchen was having a bad day, although that doesn't excuse the cheap products used. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant at this time. What a shame!

We ate there on Friday. The Niçoise salad (tuna undercooked, dry, vegetables seemingly left on display all day) was a disgrace, and the pizza was subpar. Anyone who thinks Italians cook with love is in the wrong place. While the friendly waitress was sympathetic and tried to rectify the situation with a free drink, the boss's sister was simply rude and absolutely convinced of the food, completely oblivious to the criticism. Her teasing during the finger counting, her at times aggressive attitude toward guests, and her dismissal of our criticism as ignorance, clearly demonstrated her lack of respect. Never again will I spend a single cent at this place!

Super delicious. We ended up here more by chance. But everything is so delicious and the staff so friendly. We ate here again the very next day.

It was our first time eating there and we were completely satisfied. The service was extremely friendly, and the food arrived within a normal wait time. The pizzas were delicious. A little about the bad reviews: These often relate to the delivery service, which sometimes takes too long. It's a shame that this drags down the restaurant's overall rating.

The pizza was okay, but the order was incorrect, and despite calling several times (no one ever answered) and contacting Lieferando, no one responded, and therefore no refund, etc. Unfortunately, part of it had to be thrown away. I won't be ordering from here again, as the service is very poor.

It was our first time at this pizzeria and we were almost thrilled. The outdoor seating is very comfortable. The service is perfect, even on busy days. You do have to wait, but you are served quickly...that is, we ordered our drinks and food first, the drinks arrived immediately, and the food took about 20 minutes. We had pizza with tuna, tomatoes, onions, olives, peppers, and cheese. The crust was absolutely delicious, the toppings were average, and there wasn't much cheese on it. The pizza tasted good, except for the lack of cheese. The price for the pizza was a bit high, but we can still recommend this place.

The delivery time was disappointing. Half an hour was given and the food arrived after 75 minutes. The pizza itself was “okay”… didn’t blow me away, but you could eat it.

We have already ordered for the 2nd time. Delivery time was as stated. Today one thing was forgotten and there was an ingredient in the salad where it was stated that it should be left out. The supplier noticed the missing item straight away and a new one was delivered to the salad when we pointed it out. The pizza and the Italian salad taste great!

I always order via Lieferando because I don't want to make phone calls. The food has always arrived with us. Today I was called immediately after placing my order and asked where exactly we lived, even though the address was included with the order. The woman on the phone wanted to know where the “example street” was because this street supposedly existed more often in Landau. We live in a district of Landau, so logically this street only exists ONCE. I explained to her that, for example, in vaccinated people there is an “example str” but in Landau there is only one. She then said to me: “You know!” I was so upset that I wasn’t hungry anymore. How else would mail and parcels reach us if there are two roads? I just think that's a disgrace, there's nothing to discuss when it comes to facts. About the food: it fluctuates every now and then, sometimes the ingredients vary (I usually have problems with that because I'm autistic), most of the time the food tastes very unseasoned, which I don't think is too bad since you can add more salt. The Italian salad is almost always good, sometimes the cheese tastes different. We have ordered many times and have always been satisfied with the delivery time and if it was later, we were called and told us. I probably won't order again.

Amazing place with best service and foood

The food wasn't very good when it was delivered, it was very cold and in the lasagna the minced meat wasn't completely cooked through and the dough wasn't ready and the tomato sauce from the tortellini was just disrespectful like a ready-made sauce!!

Had to wait 45 minutes for starters. The main course only came after an hour when I asked, even though I said both should come at the same time. We wanted to have leftover pizza packed up so we could take it with us. A pizza box was handed to us and we had to pack the pizza ourselves at the table :D we've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant... Never again

Ordered Rigatoni al Forno for pickup. You could look for the cheese with a magnifying glass. Far from "Al Forno". To do this, you drive back into town and stand around in the restaurant for another 10 minutes. Thank you for that!

The pizza was cold and we waited a good 90 minutes. The noodles were unseasoned and our special request not to add any ham was ignored.

Wanted to try out a new pizzaria because our favorite Italian restaurant was currently closed. The taste was quite good until my friend found a sharp piece of plastic in her pizza and we lost our appetite for pizza. Since the store had closed, no further attempts were made to make contact. Update: The boss called the same evening and apologized profusely and refunded the price.

I ordered pizza and salad today...unfortunately there was a fairly large (approx. 2.5cm x 0.5cm), very sharp plastic splinter in my pizza and there was a (still alive) beetle in my salad!!! An absolute no-go and super dangerous! I definitely won't order there again.

I can't say anything about the service as I've only had food delivered so far. When you order schnitzel for delivery, you are initially shocked because it is delivered in a pizza box😂. But not a bad idea in itself. The portion is huge and is definitely enough for two people. In terms of price, this is completely legitimate. Of course you notice that the quality of the food is low. You don't feel quite as well after eating. The pizza is also a bit dry. Once I ordered by phone instead of via Lieferando and was initially told stupidly by an employee that Mörzheim wasn't in Landau. The food arrived after an hour. Overall, there are alternatives in Landau that I would rather prefer.

Food was ok. But waiting an hour after ordering is too long. On top of everything, the food came wrong. Delivery services kept coming to deliver pizzas. It's a shame, but we won't be coming back.

We had 4 pizzas delivered, okay, an hour is a long time before delivery. Well, sometimes there's a lot going on. The pizzas were not good, you could taste the poor quality of the food, not even crispy. We often eat pizza in the evening, but that wasn't possible here. Off into the bin.

The story is great, the atmosphere is hot, let alone the food, oh my God.

I came here alone two times and ordered two different pizzas. Salami and Rucola & Landschinken. The whole ordering, serving, and paying felt awkward, it felt like I was being ignored or was not welcome, still, I wasn't treated badly, but I didn't like the service either. The pizzas were normal sized and pretty average for the prices, even though they look good. They didn't taste bad but were a bit flavorless. Overall a bad experience which I thought was a one time thing. I don't recommend coming to this place alone like I did. 2.4 stars

Food delicious, atmosphere OK. The waitresses should be more attentive and friendly.

The pizza is good to okay, crispy and not too greasy. If you want something quick to eat, you definitely won't make a mistake going here. But I won't remember the pizza for very long. The staff is nice. The inside furnishings could perhaps be made more personal, it's a bit boring at the moment, you feel a bit like you're in an office.

The price-performance ratio and the food are good here, the service was very friendly. The only disadvantage: if you eat in the restaurant you should plan for long waiting times, as food orders that go externally (pick-up/delivery service) are processed with priority.

The incredibly creamy noodles that melted in your mouth 🍝 satisfied me and us beyond measure this evening. All senses were lost and my appetite could hardly be satisfied. Although I'm never in Landau, I would travel all the way again at any time for this feast for the eyes and the palate. Very good restaurant, excellent food and drinks, good prices, very pleasant atmosphere, nice decoration. Everything is 10. The owner is very nice.

So based on the many verbal recommendations, we're trying it again because our first order yesterday, January 20, 2024, didn't convince us. On the positive side, we received a call that delivery would be delayed, which wasn't a problem for us, and our order was now in the oven. Negative: The Romagniola pizza was unfortunately cold and tasted like rubber when it was heated up again. The inside of the calzone was ok, but unfortunately the part on the outside was still in a condition that would be described as medium-rare for a steak. The salad was very good. Price was acceptable, of course if the quality was right.

2 adults and 1 child ate there. The owner of the shop was friendly, as was the service. The service was great and we weren't denied extras either. Combinations and side salad were very tasty. To the ambience. Very tastefully decorated, nice bar, with a great selection of drinks. Small, charmingly designed Italian restaurant that we would be happy to visit again.

Had dinner today. Pizza was very good. Service was terrible. I waited 1.5 hours for a pizza. No service employee n (3 in number) responded to signals. 6 table crew who came after me were served beforehand. The main problem seems to be the ordering food and the delivery service, which always receive priority. Waited 30 minutes for the bill after eating. Anyone who makes a fuss as a guest will be punished by disrespect. If problems arise, you talk to the customer, explain them and give them some advice. Pizza delivery is easier and safer. If you are a family with hungry children, definitely avoid this place

5 stars because there is no sixth. There were 6 of us eating there and two tables were pushed together without any problems. The lady who welcomed us was very friendly and very warm. The order (for the drinks) was taken quickly and served quickly. Good beer and wine recommendations for non-locals were a great help to us. The food we ordered came to the table very quickly and all that was left were full stomachs (large portions) and empty plates. All in all: The address for good food in Landau Keep it up!

Ob Milanese, oder Picata Milanese beides ein genuss, und zudem sind hier die pommes richtig knusprig. Pizza auch zu empfehlen aber noch nicht soviel Sorten probiert.

Ich war bereits mehrfach beim fliegenden Italiener in Landau essen und empfehle es gerne von Herzen weiter. Von den Vorspeisen über Pizza, Pasta bis zum Dessert alles sehr lecker und frisch. Hier schmeckt man ganz klar die Qualität und die Leidenschaft am Kochen. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich & das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Zur Info: inzwischen ist auch Kartenzahlung möglich. Fazit: Immer wieder einen Besuch wert!

Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker, da gibts nix zu bemängeln. Leider ist der Service wenig aufmerksam und wirkt unstrukturiert. 3 Servicekräfte- es dauerte lange bis man uns bemerkte, dann wurde das Besteck vergessen und zum abkassieren kam dann auch niemand. Dabei wirkte das Handeln auch eher lustlos. Schade, da ich auf guten Service Wert lege.

Seht gute traditionelle Italienische Küche zur korrekten Preisen was in Landau eher ein Ausnahme darstellt! Schnelle Service, leider viele Aushilfen welche das Gesamtbild der Service verschlechtert! Schöne große Terasse direkt auf Seitenstraße von Marktplatz. Durchgende warme Küche, sehr zu empfehlen!

Habe dort eine 4 Jahreszeiten Pizza bestellt. Die war ordentlich belegt und hat richtig gut geschmeckt. Der Salat mit dem leckeren Dressing war auch top. Lange nicht mehr gute Pizza bei Lieferservice gehabt. Danke weiter so

Wir haben selten so gut gegessen! Das Essen hat zwar etwa eine halbe Stunde auf sich warten lassen, dafür war es aber alles frisch und vom Salat, über die Nudeln bis zum Fleisch alles wunderbar. Kartenzahlung war leider nicht möglich, worauf wir auch zu Beginn leider nicht hingewiesen wurden. Hier wäre vielleicht ein Schild sinnvoll. Vielleicht haben wir es aber auch übersehen. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen, sollten wir mal wieder in der Nähe sein.

We ordered here via lieferando to try out some new places. Pizza wasn't bad at all but the delivery man who not so vaguely hinted at tipping him left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. So I'd rather order somewhere else next time.

Das Essen (Pizza und Salat) waren sehr lecker

Nach fast 2 Stunden haben wir immer noch kein Essen bekommen. Wir haben keine Info bekommen, dass es länger dauern könnte. Wir sind dann immer wieder vertröstet worden, dass wir als nächste das Essen bekommen. Zwischenzeitlich sind 4 Tische mit Essen versorgt worden. Ein Lieferdienst nach dem anderen ging raus, Stammgäste die dort saßen wurden bevorzugt. Später hieß es von einem Kellner nur ein Koch ist in der Küche, die weibliche Bedienung sagte das Gegenteil, dass mehrere Köche sind vor Ort…, Auf einmal hieß es, ein Storno wäre in der Kasse… sehr komisch. Wir hatten nur ein Nudelgericht und einen Salat bestellt…. Ist kein Hexenwerk! Unverschämt war das! Nie mehr wieder!

Mega lecker. Beim Bestellen kam es zu einem Missverständnis. So das leidet das falsche serviert wurde. Kann passieren, aber ohne langes gerede wurde sich entschuldigt und das neue richtige Essen serviert.

Sehr liebevoller Italiener, mit Sitzmöglichkeiten im außenbereich direkt angrenzend an die belebte Marktplatzzone in Landau. Ideal für den kleinen Hunger zu fairen Preisen. Auch die Chefin ist eine sehr liebevolle Person und die Pizza- & Pastakarte lässt keine Wünsche offen! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr zu empfehlen! Die Pizzen waren sehr lecker und preiswert, das Personal super nett! :) Viele gute vegetarische Optionen. Das Restaurant ist, abgesehen vom Außenbereich, nicht barrierefrei (kleine Stufe ins Innere und Wendeltreppe zu den Toiletten). Komme sehr gerne wieder!

Ein wirklich sehr nette und leckere Pizzeria. Wir waren bereits mehrmals dort und das Essen ist hervorragend, sehr gute Pizza, die erste Pizzeria mit wirklich leckeren Spaghetti mit Tomatensoße (als Fan von Tomatensoße, die ich selbst auch häufig koche, weiß ich, von was ich spreche) und vor allem frischer leckerer Salat. Die Bedienungen waren überdies immer sehr nett und freundlich, ich kann nur positives sagen. Zu der vorherigen Bewertung vom 22.12.2022 kann ich nur sagen, dass ich annehme, dass der/die Bewerter/in wahrscheinlich mindestens schon 1 Jahr nicht mehr in der Pizzeria gewesen ist und seine Bewertung reichlich spät eingetragen hat: Die dort genannte angeblich "missmutige Wirtin" gibt es schon lange nicht mehr, da das Team komplett gewechselt hat und ein neuer Pächter das Restaurant innehat. Ich kann die Pizzeria in jedem Fall sehr empfehlen!!!

Wer hier vom "besten Italiener in der Stadt" spricht, ist arm dran. Was wird denn nun in dem kleinen Lokal ausser einer missmutigen Wirtin geboten ? Salate, Pasta und Pizza - und das zu Preisen, die ihresgleichen suchen. Einfachste Nudel- gerichte um die 12,oo €, Allerweltspizzen, mager + phantasielos belegt, kosten auch dicke über elf Euro, italienische (Plörre)-Weine sind nicht unter 6,5o zu haben. Lieber eine Türe weiter gehen. Kalt ist es zudem auch noch, bei -5° blieben die Heizungen nur lauwarm. Lichtblick ist die sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung, namens Maria.

Das Essen war super, alles hat gepasst und es sehr gut schmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Gerne wider!!
