Unfortunately, the schnitzel was very dry, the salad was good. The Kaiserschmarrn was particularly bad. So much sugar that you couldn't remove it from the plate because it stuck to the plate. One of the servers was completely overwhelmed. The ambiance is simply in keeping with the Alex environment. No atmosphere.

I was totally disappointed. I had pork knuckle. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten. Absolutely dry and tasteless. No broth. Pork knuckle without broth isn't possible. The mashed potatoes and sauerkraut were also completely tasteless. My son had dry schnitzel. Everything was very poorly cooked and I wouldn't recommend it.

Unfortunately our meal was not great, chicken in a mushroom sauce with rice and a pork schnitzel. The chicken was overcooked, rubbery and of poor quality. The pork schnitzel was also very overcooked and tough,not a pleasant meal. There are far better restaurants in the area ,I wouldn't waste your money here if you're looking for good food. The waiter was very friendly though.

We arrived at 7:20 PM and the guy immediately greeted us, telling us we'd have to wait at least an hour for our food. Resigned, we walked around, then returned 40 minutes later. They seated us and took our orders shortly after. We waited 30 minutes for a cutlet with chips, which were burnt and hard. For what we paid, it wasn't worth it...

The best German restaurant in Berlin! I was eating there with my friends recently and expected around 50 euros for such an expensive looking restaurant but in the end it was 20! The snapper is a huge portion for such a price. The service was very friendly and our food came quickly. The restaurant itself is very traditional and beautifully decorated I can only recommend this! 10/10

Today for lunch we thought typical Berlin dishes, the way it should be. Well, a shot in the oven. Currywurst [East meets West. Wasn't anything special! Buletten [meatballs or meatballs] were not a hit. Atmosphere is quite nice, under the tower. Service was very nice.

This was our second time at old Fritz's and we were once again very well looked after. The location is great, right next to the television tower and easy to reach. We went on vacation to Berlin for a week. On Monday we discovered this great restaurant. The food was super great and the service was super nice! We liked it there so much that we ate there again on our last evening in Berlin. All I can say is that old Fritz deserves all 5 stars! We will definitely come back next time we visit Berlin!

I went to eat with some friends and they served us the following: iceberg lettuce from Mercadona with grated cheese for macaroni, for the second course they served us chicken (or dog) breaded with patacas from Victor Sabaris, lastly they gave us Tahitian vanilla ice cream with Swiss chocolate, very good (the only thing). The drawing scares me.

Después de ir a Der Alte Fritz a tomar unas copas tranquilas en nuestra primera noche en Berlín, decidimos volver en nuestra última noche por la comida. Fuimos al restaurante esta noche y elegimos dónde sentarnos. Había numerosas mesas tomadas, repartidas por todo el restaurante, y una llevada al exterior. Antes de sentarnos, un camarero mayor se nos acercó y nos dijo que estaban cerrados y que teníamos que irnos. El restaurante estaba claramente abierto, ya que otros seguían entrando, no había ningún cartel en la puerta que dijera cerrado o que estuviera ocurriendo alguna función, y había tablones publicitarios fuera del restaurante. La forma en que nos hablaron fue horrible y no hubo necesidad. Nos sentimos extremadamente inoportuno y sin duda no volvería. Esto es una pena ya que habíamos guardado esto para nuestra última noche en la ciudad. Muy decepcionado de la forma en que nos hablaron, no era acogedor en absoluto y nos dio vergüenza salir tan pronto después de entrar.

From the outside, the old Fritz looks rather new. Inside, you'll find a somewhat dusty inn. A rustic Berlin pub. The restaurant manager brings the typical minimalist Berlin friendliness you'd expect in many Berlin restaurants. I ate there twice. The Prussian skewer wasn't that great. While it's well described, you end up getting two or three thin slices of pork medallion skewered with bacon and some sautéed vegetables, fries, mayo, and ketchup from a squeeze pack. For that money, they should serve better. Or portion it appropriately. Maybe use good belly bacon in one piece instead of those strips of bacon from the plastic wrap. The second time, I had the burger. It surpassed the Prussian skewer in terms of value for money. The burger could have been put together better. The patty and the vegetable slices were much too thick. As a result, you couldn't eat the burger properly, and it almost turned into a food fight. If you used the same amount of ingredients and sliced ​​them a bit thinner and formed the patty thinner, the burger would be easier to eat. The taste was okay, the fries were pretty darn good. Maybe you should change the fat more often, as they tasted very burnt. I think the burger bun was heated in the microwave. It was nice and soft at first and then hardened, so much so that the burger started to fall apart. All in all, a good restaurant with room for improvement.

A very quaint restaurant right next to the television tower in Berlin. Here you can get real Berlin dishes that you rarely get anymore, liver Berlin style or sausage platters with sauerkraut. Everything was very tasty and also relatively inexpensive. The ambience reflects the name well.

We had dinner at Alten Fritz on Saturday lunchtime and it was a really good choice. The atmosphere is exactly what you would imagine if you want to enjoy German cuisine. Cozy and traditional. The service was friendly and attentive. You immediately felt comfortable. The food was really tasty and fit perfectly. The price-performance ratio is also good, which is not something that can be taken for granted everywhere these days. A perfect place for a relaxed weekend lunch. Can be recommended.

The liver tasted great. The chicken burger bun was in the oven too long, as was the chicken. The fries were fried so long that they shattered. Down in the hallway to the toilets there were cobwebs hanging from the lamps. The heater in the women's room was gray with dust. It wasn't hygienic.

We had 4 different dishes, home-style cooking, sufficient portion sizes, very tasty, a nice service person and short waiting times for our food. In the end everyone was full, satisfied and the wallet wasn't put under too much strain. Extra points for location. If you want to eat closer to the television tower, you have to eat in the tower.

Honestly one of the worst places I’ve ever experienced. There are so many things you can’t list them. Food was ‘microwaved’, servers were odd and off putting. THE STARTER WAS SALAD WITH CHEESE. If this is good then I don’t know what I have been eating all my life. Honestly horrible

Nice rustic German restaurant. Anyone who expects chic here is wrong. Home cooking is the focus here. The menu is quite clear, but there is something for everyone. The food was delicious, the service wasn't overly friendly or intrusive. In terms of price, everything is completely moderate and in this central location on Alexanderplatz. If you don't expect miracles and like solid food, this is the place for you. The schnitzel was fresh, hot and the side dishes were also perfectly fine, I think there is little convenience here.

Si hay un pub que sé que voy a visitar en cualquier vacación que tome a Berlín es Der Alte Fritz, que ha estado aquí antes en muchas ocasiones a lo largo de los años, siempre lo pasó bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un pub de gran aspecto, el interior es magnífico, al estilo berlinés muy tradicional, un llamativo bar de servicio domina la sala principal, un montón de características de madera abundan en todo este pub, gran decoración y mobiliario y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior como cuando hace buen tiempo afuera mirando hacia el ocupado y bullicioso Panoramastraße y el magnífico Fernsehturm. Agarramos una mesa, un miembro muy agradable del equipo del bar nos sirvió cervezas del Berliner Kindl Schultheiss Brauerei, estas se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones siendo heladas frías y espumosas, nos relajamos y planeamos el día siguiente mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Mi cerveza era muy buena, una cerveza crujiente, estilo lager dorada llena de sabor y muy fácil de beber, especialmente cuando se sirve helada fría como en este pub, no es sorprendente que este pub es tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en esta buena condición. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a aquí nos lo pasamos muy bien. Der Alte Fritz es fácil encontrar en Panoramastraße. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a sábado, mediodía hasta las 11 pm. Domingo, mediodía hasta las 10 pm. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en el distrito Mitte de Berlín.

Qué hallazgo fue, una joya escondida justo al lado de la plaza para la torre de televisión. Estábamos buscando un lugar que tuviera snchitzel y este lugar no decepcionó. El snchitzel de cazadores o jägerschnitzel era delicioso y el servicio era increíble. A pesar de que no hablamos mucho de esmalte, el anciano parecía hacer todo lo posible para ayudarnos y disfrutamos de nuestra experiencia y comida.

Orrendo ristorante per turisti di bassa lega. Purtroppo ci siamo capitati perché la nostra agenzia viaggi c’è l’aveva prenotato per la prima sera del nostro viaggio. Eravamo in tanti con un menù suggerito: crema al pomodoro, piatto tedesco con cinque piccoli würstel accompagnati da crauti e purea di patate, quindi a chiusura una fetta sottile di strudel. Morale: la crema non era null’altro che un banale passata di pomodoro un po’ annacquata e tiepidina, i würstel senza sapore, secchi e rappresi che facevano pensare ad un avanzo del mezzogiorno. Abbiamo chiesto aggiunte al menù (pagando un extra ovviamente) ma ci sono state negate anche sgarbatamente. Abbiamo finito la cena in una vicina bancarella con un ottimo panino con wurstel della Turingia e senape.

I find myself forced to write this review after one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. This Chinese restaurant is a real disgrace. Let's start with the service: the waiters were not only unprofessional, but they treated us with an arrogance that left me speechless. There was no respect for customers, nor even a minimum of education. But the most absurd thing was the water management. They just gave us one glass and, when we asked for another, they responded with a cold "it's limited". Never heard of such a thing! The food is nothing special, in fact, it can easily be defined as a total disappointment. Unless you want to ruin your evening, I strongly advise against going to this place. Really disgusting.🇮🇹

This supposed German 'restaurant' is an insult to the palate and cuisine in general. The dishes look more like a failed experiment than real food: dried out sausages, pretzels that could be used as bricks, and sauerkraut that surely came from a forgotten can in a dank basement. The atmosphere, far from evoking Bavarian warmth, is cold and gloomy, with decoration that seems straight out of a garage sale. To top it off, the service is so slow that one could learn basic German while waiting. If you are looking for an unpleasant dining experience, this place will not disappoint.

The schnitzel was OK. The only small point of criticism: with the outside temperature at 2 °C, it was really a bit cool inside. But the food was nice and hot. The manager is a very friendly host.

Kyllingsnitzel med fries var ingen super opplevelse. Det var også en overraskende liten porsjon. Vi var der som en gruppe, så jeg vet ikke prisen men flere gikk for å ta en dønner-kebab etter maten og mente den var utrolig mye bedre.

We had dinner at this place on the last evening of our holiday. The place was not very well looked after and the service was also quite hasty. The thing that I was very disappointed about was a big mistake in the vegetarian dishes. On the menu they have four vegetarian options, including an omelette that I ordered. Unfortunately it had meat inside (I think bacon or bacon), which was not marked on the menu. I ate it anyway so as not to waste food, but it was a really bad experience.
