Delphi Taverna is a slice of Greece right in the heart of the city! The moment you step inside, you receive a warm welcome and immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for lingering – just as you'd expect from a genuine Greek taverna. As a starter, we highly recommend the garlic bread – freshly baked, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and wonderfully aromatic. A perfect way to begin the evening! The gyros with Metaxa sauce was also excellent: tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The portions are generous, and the value for money is absolutely fair. A particularly charming touch: they offer complimentary ouzo throughout the meal, something truly rare these days – a lovely, traditional gesture that perfectly captures the Greek way of life. In short: Authentic cuisine, warm service, and an ambiance that evokes a holiday feeling. Delphi Taverna is a place where you feel completely at ease. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back! 🇬🇷✨

We ate here three times as holiday guests from Dortmund! And we can say that we ate at one of the best Greek restaurants by far. Top-notch service, top-notch food, and the restaurant, especially the beer garden, was fantastic! So, if we're ever back in Naumburg, the restaurant will definitely see us again.

I'm giving it one star this time! I really enjoyed going to this restaurant and went there quite often. I was there on Friday and drank an ouzo, and while I was drinking it, I noticed that there was a small piece of glass in the glass. I immediately told the waitress. She apologized several times, and that was it. Absolutely unprofessional behavior, considering someone could have died! It's a real shame, but that was my last visit there! If you don't even get any compensation...

Unfortunately, regular customers get different prices and better service. Unprofessional, chaotic, and extremely disappointing.

We had a table on the terrace. The service was friendly, but could have been more accommodating. The salad wasn't a choice; it was prepared and consisted of just iceberg lettuce, a slice of cucumber and tomato, and a pepper. The main course was tasty, but not top-notch. The drinks were expensive, as usual: €5.20 for a wheat beer.

Very tasty (gyros baked with Metaxa sauce and Delphi potatoes) and friendly staff. It seems to be a busy place all the time. I was very satisfied. 😊

You feel welcome from the very first moment – ​​the team is warm, attentive, and creates a completely relaxed atmosphere. The food? Simply fantastic! Whether it's classic gyros, tender lamb, or fresh fish – every dish is lovingly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and you can add ouzo upon request – on the house, of course, as it should be! The decor is cozy and stylish, with a Mediterranean flair that creates a holiday feeling. Outdoor seating is also wonderful, especially on warm evenings. If you're looking for good food, warm service, and a little getaway for the soul, the Delphi Tavern is the place for you. 5 stars – and one thing's for sure: We'll be back!

I really enjoy Greek food and have to say this is by far my absolute favorite Greek restaurant. Everything is perfect in my opinion. The food tastes amazing and is reasonably priced. The staff is super friendly, the owner is a real cool guy, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Keep it up!

We ate in the evening. At the beginning we were well served. From 9:45 p.m. we sat in front of empty glasses for 30 minutes. There's really still room for improvement.

All in all, you can say that the service staff seemed friendly but completely overwhelmed with the service and the food was average at best. On Saturday evening we visited the Delphi with a larger group. The shop was not too busy and we were assigned to our table. From then on it took about 40 minutes until the drinks were taken according to our advice. I ordered the lamb chops with beans and rice. In this restaurant there is a charge for replacing the side dish, so I decided to order garlic potatoes as well and not swap them with the rice. The waiter asked to make sure he had understood me correctly. Lamb chops with garlic potatoes came to the table. No trace of rice or beans. When asked, the boss went into the kitchen, but never came back. It eventually turned out that the waiter had misunderstood me. He thought I had canceled the beans. Despite the lack of beans and rice, the price of the entire meal plus garlic potatoes was charged extra.

I was a little disappointed, the service was nice and courteous until the food was served, after that little attention was paid to you. I found the ambience a bit bland and had little in common with the Greek restaurants I usually know. On the way to the toilet you walk past the kitchen and a table with dirty dishes piled up. Maybe it's not structurally possible, but it's still unattractive to the eye. The food was NOTHING!!! We had various dishes with Metaxa sauce and the recipe had nothing to do with it. It tasted like sweet whipped cream boiled. I've been to a number of Greek restaurants and the Metaxa sauce always had a similar taste. Unfortunately, that wasn't even close. Unfortunately, I personally cannot make any recommendations here.

Very nice service staff, good food and fast service. Went here without a reservation and there were still enough places available. In summer you can also dine in the beer garden, but it can be a bit noisy there because of the main street nearby. All in all recommended.

It was our first time at the Delphi tavern and we were thrilled with the food and service. There is a point deduction for the toilets. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

Were guests here on December 22nd, 2024. We can recommend food , very tasty dishes and good portions. Service was friendly and quick. Pleasant ambience with music and comfortable furnishings and atmosphere. Small deduction for the men's toilet area, very cold and in need of an overhaul in terms of condition and hygiene.

Went here spontaneously for lunch today. It's about 850 meters from the Christmas market on the market square to the restaurant. The journey was definitely worth it. Super tasty dishes. Rarely have I had such a delicious Greek meal. Everything was very tasty and with delicious grilled aromas. The tzatziki is absolutely top notch. The service was very friendly and in a good mood. And ouzo was also on the house. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back. Absolute recommendation. 👍

Quick Assessment- Service substandard, unfriendly, annoyed, bored... Ambience ok, but 3*. Disastrous hygiene in the toilets, I was about to leave the restaurant. Food also very, very bad. Don't understand the good reviews here. These people seem to have never experienced real Greek cuisine, among other things the Metaxa sauce was just milk and ketchup...

The staff seemed very nice at first, but things changed a bit towards the end. We were a larger group of people. I had already ordered my first drink. However, the second drink took a while but it never came, so I ordered another drink again. However, this never arrived. When paying, it was said that the drink was brought to the table and drunk (although this apparently never happened). Very dishonest and just want to make money…never again….

Ordered food to pick up for the holiday. The meat was still raw and so were the fries! Unfortunately not edible!

Thursday evening. The restaurant was well attended but not overcrowded and the atmosphere was cozy. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. We found an extensive selection on the menu. I chose a vegetarian casserole with eggplant, my husband took a plate with various meats and garlic potatoes. Our starter of garlic bread with tzatziki and salad was served quickly, as were the drinks. We didn't have to wait long for the main course either. Everything tasted very good and the portions were plentiful. The price-performance ratio was top. We will be back!

When I walked in here tonight, I knew something was wrong. The manager looked at me grimly, and the “waitress” (if you shouldn’t call her an entertainer) told me her whole life story in 10 minutes. Don't get me wrong, she was kind and caring, but the service was lacking. The food came much too quickly, and you could hear everything except Greek being spoken from the kitchen the whole time. Which shouldn't come across as a racist insult. And to be honest, it wasn't just talking, it was shouting. The waitress and the manager looked very distressed, as if they had no control over the situation. The food was quite okay. But nothing from another world. I'm sorry to say, but I most likely won't be returning here as it was just an unpleasant experience. (They all ran like headless chickens)

Am Wochenende ohne Reservierung eher schwierig einen Tisch zu bekommen, das zeigt in meinen Augen aber nur, dass das Restaurant sehr beliebt ist :) Wenn das Restaurant voll ist, geben die Kellner und Kellnerinnen trotzdem immer ihr bestes und sind wirklich immer absolut freundlich, kundenorientiert und nehmen sich dennoch Zeit für ein paar Minuten Gespräche :) Das Essen ist mega lecker und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Für Kinder gibt es immer ein paar Leckereien umsonst. Gesamt-Fazit: Sehr gutes Restaurant, Essen super lecker und Service Klasse! Macht weiter so, wir kommen gern wieder!

Das Essen ist gut, der Service ist gut. Leider haben wir oben gesessen und dort hatte ich das Gefühl auf dem Bahnhof zu sein. Kein Ambiente und zu viele Leute reingefercht.

Kein guter Grieche, Service war ok, aber das Essen Mittelmaß. Besondere Enttäuschung waren die Delphi Kartoffeln als extra nur einfach Kartoffeln mit Majo kurz im Ofen. Es gibt alles nur mit Reis und umbestellen kostet immer extra bis zu 2 Euro.
