Absolutely incompetent service, and the overpriced hot wrap was ice cold and inedible…

It’s a pity that lately when I go, they only offer cold dishes to go. I was there today and wanted to eat a warm dish at about 19:00 and they won’t serve anymore even though they close at 21:00. I hope this changes soon since the food is great!

Very tasty salads, always fresh. Lots of chicken and cheese. I was very pleased with the assortment. Healthy and tasty food.

I travel a lot and usually happy to go to Dean&David expecting same service & food quality around all DE. Unfortunately, 2 times I tried this D&D in Mannheim Hbf and was very disappointed. Firstly because of the service,and secondly food.It is far away from the quality I used to experience for example by visiting Dean&David in Dresden or Berlin Hbf. It's big room to improve. I'm not convinced anymore to go there.

Today I took 2 hot wraps home with me from the gourmet block. 1 x with meat and once with sweet potato. The price of the wrap seemed a bit high to me, but now that I've eaten it I understand why. Lots of fresh ingredients, the vegetarian wrap tastes so delicious that I will get it again So everything is fine

Today I bought a falafel oriental salad to go. The salad didn’t even have falafel even though it was listed on the ingredients and some of the vegetables were starting to rot. It looked like they had changed the expiring date to be able to sell it. Super bad experience!

Unfortunately, I'm already sitting on the train and can't return the chocolate banana bowl. Not edible, everything was already fermented, it even stung on the tongue. A look at the expiry date confirmed it: at least until October 3rd. Today is October 5th. Disgusting and disgraceful, I will never buy here again....hope the wrap I ate wasn't expired too. It's really sickening that something like that is being sold to you, it's bordering on bodily harm!!!!

Sometimes they don't have any bread, sometimes they don't have sheep's cheese, then they simply forget the chicken when making the Chicken Vitality Salad. Every time something goes wrong, at least for me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I won't go there again.

Ordered a vegan Fallafel Bowl, Fallafel were cold, otherwise ok

Today I visited this place and ordered the Crunchy Chicken Bowl, which is what I always order. Today to my surprise. When I ordered it to go, the sauce was put on it even though I said it was supposed to be extra, just like I had to find beef in my meal. The service staff was very pleasant but I think they were slightly overwhelmed due to the understaffing.

I bought a sandwich here. I made the staff very aware of my severe allergy but I wasn’t taken seriously. After emphasising the importance, I was told to scan the barcode to finally view the allergen ingredients. Finally receiving the sandwich, the chicken was almost raw and the sauce completely overpowered the sandwich and I couldn’t eat it. As I was already in the train, it was too late to go back. I definitely don’t recommend.

Very committed and friendly employees

I'm glad that the shop exists and that you can get delicious, healthy food at the train station. Unfortunately there were no curries for a long time, but recently they have been offered again. But I think the portions are a bit too small, the bottom of the bowl is just covered with carrots and onions and even I, as a woman, can't get enough. The service is a bit stressed and impatient, but that's completely understandable in such a busy place.

For the price, a very good meal. I had a falafel bowl. It can be a little more hummus. The accompanying sauce is not really my taste and my personal opinion is, more hummus :)

I was there at lunchtime today (June 18, 2024) and a very nice blonde young woman served me, she was super customer-friendly, patient and the salad was packaged very neatly and she specially wrapped the dip again with adhesive tape. Salad was also super freshly made. Super proactive and a really great customer service experience!

The vegan mango curry “to go” was very disappointing. We had to look for a pile of sticky rice, vegetables that were so few, a mini spoonful of edamame on top and a mini wedge of avocado and fried onions. Totally overpriced for what we got and since it was mostly rice, it wasn't tasty at all, rather bland. Shame about the money. Never again Dean & David!

Delicious and good selection of vegetarian dishes too. Always everything fresh. I really enjoy coming here. The dishes are all well packaged and can also be taken away if you are just passing through.

This chain offers healthy sandwiches and salads ready to take away or eat in. The drinks include various fruit juices, smoothies and coffee. Their products are always fresh, good and balanced, the salads are freshly prepared and can be customized. I tried a chicken and rice bowl and an acai bowl, both fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the service encountered in the branch was rather unpleasant and surly.

Ordered a vegan falafel wrap and there was a large piece of chicken in it!!! 🤮 Apart from that, it doesn't taste particularly good and clearly no fresh ingredients are used!

Already an hour before the end there was nothing left. Only three wraps left and the kitchen is closed. 10 minutes before the end I understand that, but an hour is a disgrace.

In fact, everything was wrong for me - wrong salad, wrong packaging, even wrong price 🤷

It was a real joy to have so many delicious and healthy options to choose from. The portions are generous and the value for money is excellent. Even though I was already full, I couldn't resist treating myself to another smoothie or a fresh juice creation - simply delicious! All in all, I can only warmly recommend Dean & David at Mannheim Central Station. Whether you are looking for a healthy meal, a quick snack or simply a friendly place to hang out, this restaurant will not disappoint. I will definitely come back!

I've been to dnds in Munich, Cologne, Passau, Frankfurt, and Mannheim. And Mannheim HBF store serves their best Caeser Chicken. I always only order that for my "grab bites" on the go (most times). And I say so because all the other experiences (at places) were really not as good or just didn't meet the standards/expectations that were promised. Either the lettuce was bad, the portion size was less than a half, or just something else. The value for money was compromised. But this store in particular never disappointed me. And I decided to write a review specifically to recommend their Mannheim HBF's Caesar Chicken. The staff there is doing something. Something right. I ALWAYS get fresh, clean, tasty ingredients in my Caesar, the portion size is good, the stuffing is ample, and I truly enjoy every bite until the end. It certainly offers value for its price. Moreover, if you are a student, they have student discount! Just what I need. I really like their Caesar here and have no complaints. Highly recommend.

The food is great, the smoothies and juices too! The employees are all very open, friendly and reliable. Highly recommended, whether to eat there or take away. (The Paris Wrap or Paris Salad are very tasty)

Good staff Very tasty food A little space

I eat at DD often and since I travel a lot for work, I also eat at different places. I was in Mannheim at the train station for the first time today and ordered a bowl to eat there. The bowl was prepared quickly and looked good. I asked for one Slice of bread. “Bread is only served with salad” was the answer I got. I have never experienced this in any branch. A pity. At 13.25 a slice should be possible. It works for the others too.

Wollten eigentlich null Sterne vergeben. Haben um kurz nach 20Uhr einen Wrap gekauft. Dieser war komplett aufgeweicht und ungenießbar. Papier klebte am Teig und war nicht abzubekommen. Lag vermutlich den ganzen Tag in der Auslage, wenn nicht schon länger und das zum vollen Preis.

Habe eine Buddah Bowl gekauft. Bowl fast aufgegessen, dann ein größeres Insekt in der Bowl entdeckt. Das geht gar nicht. Super ekelhaft.

Als wir um 18:30 ankamen, konnten wir nur noch fertig abgepackte Salate kaufen, keine frischen mehr. Obwohl das Lokal laut Google bis 21 Uhr geöffnet ist. Der abgepackte Salat Paris war eher dürftig. 1 Walnuss, 1 Traube zwei dünne Streifen Paprika und 2 Stückchen Ziegenkäse. Ansonsten Blattsalate die ihre besten Tage schon hinter sich hatten. Den Salat habe ich in anderen Filialen schon deutlich besser gegessen.

Bin schon lange Jahre Kunde bei Dean and David und das diesmal sehr enttäuscht. Habe zwei Snacks gekauft, eine Oliven-Feta-Brottasche und einen Falafel-Wrap. Ersteres war ok, ausser dass es kleiner und deutlich weniger gefüllt wirkte. Der Wrap dagegen empfinde ich als Unverschämtheit. 2/3 bestand ausschließlich aus Eisbergsalat und Brot. Es war daher nur die Hälfte essbar. Wenn ich einen Falafel-Wrap bestelle und bezahlte, erwarte ich, dass dieser mehr als nur Salat (ohne Soße) und einem halben Falafel am sichtbaren Ende enthält. Sorry, aber dieser Laden am Mannheimer Bahnhof hat mich das letzte mal gesehen.

I ordered a Paris Salad to go. In the train I realized that bread was not given to me though they have it on their menu. After I ate half of the salad I saw this little creature inside. That’s definitely disgusting and should not have happened. Never ever again there!!!

Salat war nicht frisch. Kartoffeln waren braun und matschig, ebenso die Weintrauben.

Frisch ist anders. Als schnelles Abendessen eine Black Rice Crunchy Chicken Bowl eingepackt und Zuhause festgestellt, dass die bereits Schimmel auf der Mango angesetzt hat. Bei Haltbarkeit bis 1.6.2023. Das passt für mich nicht zur Mission mit dem immer frischen Essen ...

Eine schöne Alternative am Bahnhof um gesund in den Tag zu starten. Nettes Personal das sich immer drum bemüht allen gerecht zu werden.

Unfreundliches Personal, Salat ok, ohne zu fragen als take away serviert obwohl ich vor Ort essen wollte. Würde das nächste Mal eher einen Fertigsalat irgendwo anders holen…

Chicken Teriaky Bowl zum Mitnehmen bestellt, nur leider ohne Chicken bekommen. Erst zuhause bemerkt. Sehr ärgerlich, sowas darf nicht passieren! Geschmacklich ansonsten OK

Sehr überforderte Bedienung, lange Wartezeit, kein Besteck zum Mitnehmen

Hatten leider um 11 noch keinen Reis fertig gekocht, daher gab's nur Salate. Service musste nochmal an Smoothie erinnert werden und die Preise sind auch recht hoch. Das Ambiente am hbf ist halt nicht das schönste und es ist sehr laut.

Die Preise sind nicht mehr dem Portion/Service gerecht wie ich es von früher kenne. Schade!

Pricy for the quality. And basic hygiene is lacking. Wearing gloves does not mean your gloved hands are clean regardless of what you touch. I would have preferred the employee to wash her hands after touching her mobile phone instead of directly grabbing the ingredients for my dish...

Die zwei Sterne sind für die FALSCHEN ÖFFNUNGSZEITEN. Das Essen verdient 5 Sterne! Es ist sehr schade, wenn man sich auf die google Öffnungszeiten verlässt und steht dann, Samstag morgens um 8.20 Uhr, im Mannheimer Hbf, vor verschlossenen Türen, obwohl der Laden frisch gefüllt ist. Ich bin ansonsten ein absoluter Fan von euch und hatte mich auf Wrap für meine Mittagspause an diesem Samstag gefreut. Da mein Zug gleich fuhr, konnte ich nicht länger warten. It was better in the past. Now they tend to do the dishes with less care and at 7:20pm they are already closing and don't do the dishes anymore. In Google at least it says open until 9pm, so I think this needs to be updated to reflect that at 7 it is already not possible to get new food? Potentially it was just bad luck of missing ingredients, but for the price you expect better service. Went to the "Tea Motion" on the side and got something else for 1/5 of the price... Will go again in the future and see if it is better.

Das Essen an sich ist sehr lecker und auch schnell zubereitet, allerdings sieht man den Mitarbeitern an, dass sie vollkommen überarbeitet sind, da oftmals auch zu wenig Mitarbeiter für die entsprechende Tageszeit da sind, teilweise stehen sie sogar alleine da, was ich schon öfter mitbekommen habe, da ich regelmäßig dort esse, sie sind trotzdem sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei Fragen. Top Mitarbeiter 👍

Freundliche Bedienung. Aber dass Sandwiches mit der Hand angefasst werden zum einpacken finde ich unhygienisch. Die Avocado auf dem Sandwich war leider noch ziemlich hart und geschmacksneutral. Hätte besser schmecken können.

Leider stimmt das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut gar nicht. Es kommt auch immer auf den Mitarbeiter an wer den Salat zubereitet. Bei dem einen fehlt die Hälfte und es wird an allem gespart bei dem anderen ist der Salat echt top. Ich werde in Zukunft definitiv darauf achten wer gerade hinter der Theke steht und es mir dann doppelt überlegen.
