The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant interior is very tastefully decorated.

The food is very good. Unfortunately, they still haven't realized that the portions are much too small and, accordingly, much too expensive. All of our friends complained about this too. It felt like five forks were enough and you were done in five minutes. I can only recommend rating these meager portions with stars, otherwise they'll never get it. There are enough people here complaining about it. The best food is useless if you leave the place dissatisfied.

The food tastes good. The portions are more suited to smaller children. It certainly won't fill you up, and at €40 for two regular meals, it's a bit cheeky.

The service was friendly but very inexperienced. The wait times for drinks, appetizers, and main courses were extremely long. It took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. About the food: The appetizers were okay, but nothing more, and the portion sizes were very manageable. The bowl for the main course was uninspired, with very little greenery and absolutely dry (there was no sauce at all). The sushi selection was a complete disappointment: some of the rolls had already fallen apart when they arrived, everything was bland, and the icing on the cake was the dried parsley on the sushi. Once and never again!

Small Asian restaurant. The staff was friendly. Portion sizes were okay. The taste could be improved; everything tasted the same, or tasted like nothing at all. The price/performance ratio is still acceptable, but it shouldn't be too expensive. Since it's so small, you should make a reservation.

The service is friendly and attentive. However, I ordered the more expensive wine, received the cheaper one, complained immediately, and accepted the cheaper one because the more expensive wine was supposedly not available. The bill, of course, showed the more expensive wine. And then there was an argument with the waiter that it was the wine I ordered. Despite REPEATEDLY comparing the labels on the bottle and the menu. Ordered yes, received..., no. The "manager" had to intervene. 🙄 The food is quite tasty, but they are extremely stingy with the meat. After a long search, I found three small, thin pieces of chicken in the soup. I then dissected the main course for 17.90 and came up with a portion size (fresh weight) of 60-80 grams. Why can I estimate that?? ...trained chef. I can see that, I don't have to put it on the scale. Call me picky, but for €17.90, that's pretty cheeky. Anyway, I have my regular Asian restaurants of all stripes in Hamburg. Portions like that are a lunch for €8.90. It was quite tasty, but I'm not leaving here satisfied.

Very good Vietnamese food! Coming from a Vietnamese background, I did not expect to get a genuine taste of home. Definitely stop by here for something different.

Nice restaurant located in a peaceful area, providing a calm atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes. The mango lemonade was a perfect refreshment, offering a sweet and tangy taste that I couldn’t get enough of. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. Additionally, you can enjoy your time outside in the lovely garden, soaking up the sun. Highly recommend this place for a great dining experience.

Very small but nice restaurant, walked past spontaneously and got a seat. The dishes are really delicious and well prepared. The price is a little higher but reasonable for the quality. But it shouldn't go any higher. We will come again.

A spectacular place, where you find extraordinary food and charming staff.

Just ordered there for the umpteenth time. The food is visually, tastefully and qualitatively 1A! Always top-fresh, always delicious and always super nice service. The restaurant is very small and the tables are quite narrow, but there are always chairs in front of the restaurant in summer. The best Asian cuisine in the area!!! Absolute recommendation from me! Tip: 2 homemade Vietnamese spring rolls including sauce/dip 😍 Kind regards and a happy new year to the nice boss and of course also to the kitchen ✌️

The food there is really delicious! I was impressed that there is a selection of dishes and you can then decide whether you want tofu, vegan chicken, shrimp or chicken. It's a very small restaurant so it's probably not for everyone as you sit very close to the other guests, but you can also pick up food and eat it at home or something.

Very cute restaurant in the middle of Neuchâtel, few tables, furnished with style and a lot of love. The dishes are really tasty, special, small, fine selection of Vietnamese dishes. Nice drinks menu. The service is very nice, we would have liked to have been asked again about our drink requests, we sat for a long time in front of empty glasses. Otherwise very happy.

The food is absolutely amazing every time! There's also a lot of vegetarian options to choose from, I particularly recommend the vegan chicken. Unfortunately, I have had to experience very bad service several times (always from the same waitress). While we were eating on site, our order was taken, but the employee first sat down at the table with friends (?) and talked in a relaxed manner instead of passing on our order. The second time I ordered something to pick up. On the phone they said it would take 30 minutes. When I was there she noticed that she hadn't even put my order in the kitchen. So I had to wait again. That's a real shame because the food is really delicious. When I was here for the first time in April, the waitress at the time was very nice, competent and accommodating!

A small cozy restaurant! We had the Vietnamese. Spring rolls: a taste experience. I really don't know if we've ever had better spring rolls. 5 stars!!! Unfortunately the main course couldn't keep up... Although the taste was also outstanding, half of the chicken breast was still almost raw, and probably not the first time. We didn't say it until we paid, so it was our fault that we didn't get a replacement. Too bad.

In winter it is nice inside, but it is quite small and it is advisable to make a reservation. The food is super tasty and looks good too. We were at DauVo Essen again today. As in the past, we were not disappointed. Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, the food came quickly and was tasty. Absolutely recommended for vegetarians, as some dishes are also offered with tofu. We'd love to come back :-)

I regularly visit the local restaurant in Neuchâtel when I visit my hometown. Great value for money - both in terms of portion size as well as quality and taste. Everything tastes great, is freshly prepared, very attentive and fast service. It's worth making a reservation - there are relatively few seats inside. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Cozy, small restaurant with very good food and very friendly service!

First of all: The food in this restaurant is really good and the atmosphere is pleasant. We ordered drinks and food, but after 40 minutes of waiting - during which we received neither drinks nor any information about the status of our order - we were asked again if we would like something more to drink. Since we had already ordered, this was of course surprising. After asking another waitress, we were told that the food was “just being prepared”. Another 20 minutes passed before the drinks arrived and in total it took 1.5 hours before the food was finally served. Despite this significant delay, we were not offered an apology nor did we feel genuinely cared for. After another conversation with the waitress, we were assured that the food and drinks would be “her responsibility”. However, this was not adhered to when another waitress – who introduced herself as the “boss” – told us that we still had to pay because we had finally eaten and enjoyed the food. We ended up spending 3 hours in the restaurant and, after a lengthy discussion, had to pay the full price for the meal, minus the appetizer and drinks. We had hoped that we would at least be given the opportunity to have an open conversation with the actual boss, but unfortunately this was denied. I am usually a very patient and empathetic person and understand that misunderstandings can occur. But this experience leaves me with the impression that there is an urgent need to work on communication within the team and on customer service. A good meal is no substitute for well-structured, friendly service. I hope the restaurant takes advantage of the opportunity to improve its operations and train staff accordingly. Despite the disappointment, I wish the team all the best and hope that future guests have a better experience.

I ordered takeaway from dauVo in Neuchâtel and was very disappointed. For €19 I got such a small portion that it seemed as if we had been given leftovers from other guests. The price-performance ratio is absolutely unacceptable. Given the good reviews so far, I unfortunately cannot understand the positive opinions.

Pad Thai and rice bowl were good, service was very polite and nice. Prices reasonable. We took the same food with us again for someone... although the quality was good, the quantity was about half of the portions we ate there... It's a shame 😔

Wir haben dieses kleine Restaurant durch Zufall auf der "Durchreise" vom Airport Mulhouse nach Freiburg entdeckt. Selten haben wir so gut asiatisch gegessen! Alle Zutaten frisch, Gemüse knackig und wunderbar gewürzt. Hervorzuheben ist auch die überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Auf jeden Fall werden wir hier wieder einkehren. Also: Absolut empfehlenswert !

arrived at 8 p.m. and 1 hour 40 minutes later the meal was still not served! In the end we went opposite for dinner because in the end we wouldn't be served (the kitchen closed at 10 p.m.!). We were offered drinks, a meager reward for a wasted evening.

Unfortunately, we are extremely irritated by the good reviews of this restaurant. We were very disappointed with the poor quality of the food. We ordered PadThai and got noodles soaked in sweet and sour sauce. When the service was pointed out, the service staff showed no understanding and excused the dish with “kind of house”. At least the drinks weren't listed on the bill as compensation. I almost completely returned the dish. A pity.

I was here for the first and certainly not the last time. Everything was perfect: a nice atmosphere, a varied menu, very friendly and professional service and, above all, the quality of the food. Perfectly prepared and seasoned. An absolute recommendation.

Wonderful Asian cuisine with roots in Thailand. Very well seasoned, delicious meat and great, crunchy fresh vegetables. Lovingly furnished, small restaurant and incredibly nice and attentive service. A real tip in the area! I'd love to be a little more authentic - dare you! ...The classic dessert: banana wonderfully enhanced by a dollop of ginger ice cream and super delicious!

We arrived late in Neuchâtel due to traffic jams on the motorway. Even after 9 p.m. we were warmly welcomed in the Dau Vo restaurant. This fact alone is worth five stars! We were surprised once again with the food and would give it more than five stars! Thank you very much and keep it up!

Discovered by chance & ate very well. The papaya salad was excellent, and I had the vegan spring rolls as a starter. For the main course I had a tasty Vietnamese dish with basmati rice, chicken and special sauce. I also had a homemade lemonade made from forest fruits and basil. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Food was beautifully prepared, sufficient and delicious. Place smaller than expected, but cozy. I missed chopsticks for eating, the price is expensive in comparison.

Food is good, it is beautifully decorated/presented, service is very, very slow, tables are not cleared, drinks alone take forever. The restaurant was recommended to me but I was personally very disappointed. Price & performance doesn't match either. I'm often in the area on business but I don't think I'll go to this location again. Professional waiters/waiters should be employed who know what they are doing.

Hier wird man immer freundlich bedient, und die Küche ist ausgezeichnet. Alle Gerichte werden in gleichbleibender Qualität zubereitet, egal ob mittags oder abends. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Gerichte mit der Pfeffersauce und die Frühlingsrollen, alles andere ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Gastraum ist klein, aber man kann dort gut sitzen.
