DauVo in Neuenburg am Rhein

The food there is really delicious! I was impressed that there is a selection of dishes and you can then decide whether you want tofu, vegan chicken, shrimp or chicken. It's a very small restaurant so it's probably not for everyone as you sit very close to the other guests, but you can also pick up food and eat it at home or something.

Very cute restaurant in the middle of Neuchâtel, few tables, furnished with style and a lot of love. The dishes are really tasty, special, small, fine selection of Vietnamese dishes. Nice drinks menu. The service is very nice, we would have liked to have been asked again about our drink requests, we sat for a long time in front of empty glasses. Otherwise very happy.

The food is absolutely amazing every time! There's also a lot of vegetarian options to choose from, I particularly recommend the vegan chicken. Unfortunately, I have had to experience very bad service several times (always from the same waitress). While we were eating on site, our order was taken, but the employee first sat down at the table with friends (?) and talked in a relaxed manner instead of passing on our order. The second time I ordered something to pick up. On the phone they said it would take 30 minutes. When I was there she noticed that she hadn't even put my order in the kitchen. So I had to wait again. That's a real shame because the food is really delicious. When I was here for the first time in April, the waitress at the time was very nice, competent and accommodating!

We were passing through and were made aware of this nice little restaurant thanks to the internet. And it's not a lie, great food, Great atmosphere (although very small and limited) and really nice service. We will definitely come back and can only recommend it.

Absolutely excellent cuisine. The service staff are very attentive and polite. The large selection of dishes is also impressive. There is something for everyone. Vegetarian versions are also delicious. Can be warmly recommended. I'd love to come back.

A small cozy restaurant! We had the Vietnamese. Spring rolls: a taste experience. I really don't know if we've ever had better spring rolls. 5 stars!!! Unfortunately the main course couldn't keep up... Although the taste was also outstanding, half of the chicken breast was still almost raw, and probably not the first time. We didn't say it until we paid, so it was our fault that we didn't get a replacement. Too bad.

Nice place to eat in the middle of the city in a busy place. Especially in summer when you can sit outside. In winter it is nice inside, but it is quite small and it is advisable to make a reservation. The food is super tasty and looks good too. We were at DauVo Essen again today. As in the past, we were not disappointed. Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, the food came quickly and was tasty. Absolutely recommended for vegetarians, as some dishes are also offered with tofu. We'd love to come back :-)

I regularly visit the local restaurant in Neuchâtel when I visit my hometown. Great value for money - both in terms of portion size as well as quality and taste. Everything tastes great, is freshly prepared, very attentive and fast service. It's worth making a reservation - there are relatively few seats inside. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Excellent food and very attentive and friendly service. There we go again! On weekends or at dinner time you should reserve in advance because the number of seats inside is manageable.

Cozy, small restaurant with very good food and very friendly service!

First of all: The food in this restaurant is really good and the atmosphere is pleasant. We ordered drinks and food, but after 40 minutes of waiting - during which we received neither drinks nor any information about the status of our order - we were asked again if we would like something more to drink. Since we had already ordered, this was of course surprising. After asking another waitress, we were told that the food was “just being prepared”. Another 20 minutes passed before the drinks arrived and in total it took 1.5 hours before the food was finally served. Despite this significant delay, we were not offered an apology nor did we feel genuinely cared for. After another conversation with the waitress, we were assured that the food and drinks would be “her responsibility”. However, this was not adhered to when another waitress – who introduced herself as the “boss” – told us that we still had to pay because we had finally eaten and enjoyed the food. We ended up spending 3 hours in the restaurant and, after a lengthy discussion, had to pay the full price for the meal, minus the appetizer and drinks. We had hoped that we would at least be given the opportunity to have an open conversation with the actual boss, but unfortunately this was denied. I am usually a very patient and empathetic person and understand that misunderstandings can occur. But this experience leaves me with the impression that there is an urgent need to work on communication within the team and on customer service. A good meal is no substitute for well-structured, friendly service. I hope the restaurant takes advantage of the opportunity to improve its operations and train staff accordingly. Despite the disappointment, I wish the team all the best and hope that future guests have a better experience.

Always so delicious. The best papaya salad I've had outside of Thailand. But everything else has been very good so far!

I ordered takeaway from dauVo in Neuchâtel and was very disappointed. For €19 I got such a small portion that it seemed as if we had been given leftovers from other guests. The price-performance ratio is absolutely unacceptable. Given the good reviews so far, I unfortunately cannot understand the positive opinions.

Pad Thai and rice bowl were good, service was very polite and nice. Prices reasonable. We took the same food with us again for someone... although the quality was good, the quantity was about half of the portions we ate there... It's a shame 😔

Außergewöhnlich gute asiatische Küche! Mega! Auch der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Veganer kommen bestens auf ihre Kosten. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist, dass es für mich als Rollifahrerin keine barrierefreie Toilette gibt.

Wir haben dieses kleine Restaurant durch Zufall auf der "Durchreise" vom Airport Mulhouse nach Freiburg entdeckt. Selten haben wir so gut asiatisch gegessen! Alle Zutaten frisch, Gemüse knackig und wunderbar gewürzt. Hervorzuheben ist auch die überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Auf jeden Fall werden wir hier wieder einkehren. Also: Absolut empfehlenswert !

Unfortunately, we are extremely irritated by the good reviews of this restaurant. We were very disappointed with the poor quality of the food. We ordered PadThai and got noodles soaked in sweet and sour sauce. When the service was pointed out, the service staff showed no understanding and excused the dish with “kind of house”. At least the drinks weren't listed on the bill as compensation. I almost completely returned the dish. A pity.

I was here for the first and certainly not the last time. Everything was perfect: a nice atmosphere, a varied menu, very friendly and professional service and, above all, the quality of the food. Perfectly prepared and seasoned. An absolute recommendation.

Wonderful Asian cuisine with roots in Thailand. Very well seasoned, delicious meat and great, crunchy fresh vegetables. Lovingly furnished, small restaurant and incredibly nice and attentive service. A real tip in the area! I'd love to be a little more authentic - dare you! ...The classic dessert: banana wonderfully enhanced by a dollop of ginger ice cream and super delicious!

We arrived late in Neuchâtel due to traffic jams on the motorway. Even after 9 p.m. we were warmly welcomed in the Dau Vo restaurant. This fact alone is worth five stars! We were surprised once again with the food and would give it more than five stars! Thank you very much and keep it up!

Discovered by chance & ate very well. The papaya salad was excellent, and I had the vegan spring rolls as a starter. For the main course I had a tasty Vietnamese dish with basmati rice, chicken and special sauce. I also had a homemade lemonade made from forest fruits and basil. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Food was beautifully prepared, sufficient and delicious. Place smaller than expected, but cozy. I missed chopsticks for eating, the price is expensive in comparison.

Food is good, it is beautifully decorated/presented, service is very, very slow, tables are not cleared, drinks alone take forever. The restaurant was recommended to me but I was personally very disappointed. Price & performance doesn't match either. I'm often in the area on business but I don't think I'll go to this location again. Professional waiters/waiters should be employed who know what they are doing.

Hier wird man immer freundlich bedient, und die Küche ist ausgezeichnet. Alle Gerichte werden in gleichbleibender Qualität zubereitet, egal ob mittags oder abends. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Gerichte mit der Pfeffersauce und die Frühlingsrollen, alles andere ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Gastraum ist klein, aber man kann dort gut sitzen.

Das Restaurant ist klein, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und von gleichbleibenden Qualität. Die Portionen sind angehen groß, man wird satt. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Frühlingsrollen und die Pfeffersauce. Wir holen auch regelmäßig Essen dort ab.

Wir haben hier schon öfter Speisen bestellt und nach Hause geholt. Nicht nur die Frühlingsrollen sind super lecker, auch alle Hauptspeisen, die wir inzwischen probiert haben, schmeckten so gut und authentisch, dass wir volle Punkte gerne geben. Das rote Curry ist genau richtig für uns von der Schärfe. Nicht zu deutsch abgemildert, aber auch nicht zu scharf. Das Personal ist richtig freundlich. Im Sommer kann man toll draußen sitzen.

The food was/is always very good. But yesterday's visit there was quite disappointing. There was very little sauce on the plate for my meal, at most half as much as usual. At first I thought to myself: "Ok, it's not bad, it can happen, I'll just order some more sauce." When I tried this and asked the waitress in the kitchen, I was told that it wouldn't work because the sauce is made with the vegetables. It's absolutely incomprehensible to me how you can, on the one hand, reduce the portion of sauce by half and, on the other hand, refuse to bring any more to the guests if there isn't enough.

Rarely have we eaten so well at an Asian restaurant - a clear recommendation! Great quality and attention to detail, NOT a run-of-the-mill Asian!

The best Asian and in this case Vietnamese restaurant we have ever been to. We just happened to pass by the place and then wanted to go for something to eat. We went based on the reviews and it was definitely more than worth it!! The staff is very friendly, the food (duck with curry sauce and vegetables as well as the spring rolls) was incredibly tasty - big compliments to the kitchen! Besides, everything went pretty quickly. Dogs are also welcome and are offered water. If I lived near there, this would be my go-to restaurant. I didn't think the portions were too small. We (2 adults) were very full.

Einfach toll!!! Jede einzelne Speise war ein Genuss. Sehr lecker und man bekommt Gerichte, die man woanders vergeblich sucht (zB Tofu in Zitronengrassosse und Papayasalat). Die Portionen haben die perfekte Größe, so dass noch Platz für Vor- oder Nachspeise ist. Nicht zu vergessen: die zwei wunderbaren jungen Leute, die für den Service zuständig waren! Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Es gibt noch soviel auszuprobieren <3

Leckeres, sehr frisches traumhaftes Essen, die Portionen sind köstlich und sehr sättigend, sehr aufmerksamer Service, liebevolles Ambiente. Liebevoll dekoriertes Ambiente. Alles blitzsauber und gut gepflegt.

Wir haben essen bestellt. Das Essen an sich ist lecker, jedoch sind die Gerichte viel zu klein. Wir sind 3 Erwachsene und alle 3 nicht satt geworden. Viel zu wenig Gemüse, viel zu wenig Soße, allgemein zu wenig. Soße: In dem kleinen Behälter nur zur Hälfte gefüllt, die Sommerrollen waren winzig. Preis Leistung ist in diesem Fall nicht stimmig. Leider das letzte Mal dort bestellt.

Was für eine fantastisch gute Küche, wir sind begeistert!!! Frisch und lecker zubereitet und dann noch so freundlich serviert zu bekommen, lässt das Genießerherz höher schlagen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!!

Heerlijk gegeten. Ik ging vandaag (zondag 13-08-2023) eten halen voor mij, mijn vriendin, en onze kinderen. Het was echt heerlijk. Fijne smaken, mooi in balans. Zelfs de kinderen, die normaal niet zo van oosters houden, hebben genoten. Het gebeurt niet vaak dat ze zo goed eten. Echt een aanrader als je in de buurt bent en van oosters houdt.

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten! De gerechten zijn smaakvol, vers en kleurrijk. Een feest voor de mond en het oog. Ik heb erg genoten van de summerrolls. Mijn man vond de pindasaus curry met kip een van de lekkerste curry's die hij ooit heeft gegeten. Naast dat het zeer goed smaakt, is de bediening ook erg vriendelijk en is het eten goed geprijsd. Ook heeft het restaurant een terras aan een gezellig pleintje. Als je in de buurt bent, is DauVo zeker het bezoeken waard!
