After countless videos on the Cooking in the Valley channel, I finally got to experience it live again. The autumn buffet was worth every penny. First-class dishes, some of them beautifully presented, and super friendly service. I'm already booking a date for the next inspiration evening in January.

Absolutely fantastic! The food was simply outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. Every course was a delight, and the buffet was outstanding in quality, variety, and taste. The service was first-class: attentive, friendly, and professional. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. I was also impressed by the ambiance – stylish, cozy, and with a wonderful atmosphere that simply puts you at ease. This wasn't my first time here, and I will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! The same goes for the attached hotel and the first-class wellness area!

After watching several videos on YouTube earlier this year about "Jammertal," which is called "Cooking in the Valley," I was really tempted to visit it during my travels in and around Lünen. The Jammertal Resort is located in the middle of the countryside, on the edge of a forest. For someone used to city life in the Ruhr area, it's a bit out of the way, or as a Berliner would say, "jwd" (way out in the sticks). But let me say this upfront—the trip is worth it. They serve food from 12:00 to 21:00, and offer à la carte options between regular mealtimes. A misunderstanding meant I had to wait quite a while before I could finally order. This was handled superbly and generously. In the meantime, I had the opportunity to peruse the wine list. I got the impression that the wines have been carefully selected, with a good sense of value for money, and that they represent a wide range of wines from around the world, not just in Germany. But let me tell you—they're well-regarded and offer wines from all over the world. My Google search for some wineries was enriching and inspiring. (I especially need to try the Chianti from Bonacchi near Vinci soon.) I was torn between the rump steak and the teres major, also known as the butcher's cut. I ultimately opted for the latter. I'm not usually a big meat eater, but if I suspect or know that good meat is being served, then I'm all in, for example, with the wild boar ragout in Tuscany or a locally raised beef steak at "I Due Cippi in Saturnia." Even in the Jammertal valley, the cattle are supposed to be raised on their own pastures. So today I'm having meat! All in all, it was excellent. Very tender meat. Not too much and not too little sear, still slightly bloody in the middle. Just right for me. Served in a very subtly seasoned sauce. I was particularly pleased with the side dish of root vegetables (carrots, white and red beets, turnips?) in a sauce with a fruity note. The visit and the trip were well worth it!

The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating! The food was beautiful to look at and even better to taste! Questions about the recipe or preparation were answered expertly. Highly recommended! If you're curious beforehand: check out the YouTube channel "Kochen im Tal" (Cooking in the Valley). I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Can only be recommended. No compromises

One of the best things I have found so far for wellness and relaxation. Everything was fine.

The quality and taste of all the food from the buffet is great, I really enjoy eating here (for me it's dangerous because I end up eating too much). Excellent service, sufficiently good wine selection, delicious beers, nice ambience. Very nice outside in the summer too.

The lunch buffet was very good. Nice seasonal dishes. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right. What is also very nice, after eating, the surrounding area offers a nice opportunity to take a relaxing digestive walk in nature.

Pure relaxation. The food was delicious and there was a huge selection at the buffet. Breakfast also perfect. Rooms clean and staff almost all nice.

We only had a 1-night stay and didn't use any of the offers, so I can't comment on that. The food was very tasty and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. Can't judge whether because of Corona and a lack of staff, but some corners in the room were dusty, hence 1 star deduction.

Wellness, großes Bufett an Sonntagen. Sehr gut gespeist. Viel Natur drumherum. Entschleunigt und genährt wieder nach Hause. Wir kommen wieder.

Das Restaurant im Jammertal Resort lässt keine Wünsche offen Gemütliches Ambiente, ausgesprochen freundliche Kellner, leckere Speisen bei guter Auswahl und Qualität. Immer wieder gerne!
