Das Neuhausen in München

I went here for brunch last Sunday. There were three of us without a reservation, and we managed to get a table – probably just luck. The coffee is really very good, and the breakfast selection is concise, varied, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was attentive, friendly, and pleasantly present despite the large number of customers. However, the place is very noisy. The many smooth surfaces and poor soundproofing create a strong echo, making it difficult to hear or even speak louder. This somewhat detracted from what was otherwise a very pleasant experience.

Everything's great, but PLEASE do something about the soundproofing! You have to shout at each other when the place is full, and the poor waitresses... the acoustics here desperately need work. Otherwise - everything's perfect.

Maybe I had bad luck but the meat of the burger tasted like plastic. It was a bummer. The dessert looked like it was just frozen and heat it up =S. The place is lovely and the waiters are nice.

The set is beautiful, nestled in a quiet street corner this cafe was worth the visit. The staff is very nice, the food however lacks in portion size. Overall a good experience.

The three of us went to dinner at Neuhausen this evening. "Resi" (Theresa) guided us through the menu excellently and gave us excellent advice on the devil's bass. She was also very helpful in choosing drinks to go with the fish. Thanks to Theresa's excellent service and the kitchen's hard work, we had an unforgettable evening with truly delicious food at a fair price. Two of us were here for dinner on September 13, 2025. A nice restaurant with atmosphere, well-attended. One highlight was the friendly and attentive staff, another was the quality and taste of the food. We found Das Neuhausen to be way ahead in that regard! Unfortunately, the prices were also a bit high: Can two small frikadellen (meatballs) with fried potatoes, cabbage, and gravy really cost €18.90? Even if it tastes really good; or is a Black Angus burger worth €16.90, plus cheddar cheese €1, plus fries €5, for a total of €22.90? With all our affection for this nice restaurant, it was a bit too much for us. Munich restaurateurs, don't overdo it...

My wife wanted to surprise me for my birthday and made a reservation (there was a box on the website labeled "Special Occasion"). They also stated that we would be coming with a toddler and a baby and needed space for the stroller. When we arrived, the place was packed and quite loud. The service staff was stressed and overwhelmed. It was pure chaos, in German. When we were assigned a "small table," we were asked to leave the stroller at the entrance. And when we asked for an Ikea high chair, we received a cheeky reply along the lines of, "No, but you can hold your children on your lap." I have to say, having breakfast with your children in your arms is very cozy. *Irony off* When the ordered food arrived, the wrong one arrived, and the stressed-out server (Lina) didn't apologize or admit she'd made a mistake. Because of my birthday, we thought maybe a small cake or something similar would arrive, but not even a congratulations came. My wife was disappointed for me and the effort she put into making the reservation. Regarding the ambiance: too loud, in a small space. Comfortable is therefore a foreign word. €72.10 for breakfast for two adults and a toddler is quite steep. The food wasn't bad, but nothing special either. To sum up: I definitely can't recommend it and won't be going back. There are plenty of other alternatives in Munich.

I truly had one of my best schnitzels in a long time here, accompanied by crispy rosemary potatoes. Highly recommended. The schnitzel was perfectly thin, and the breading was light and crispy without being swimming in fat. Bravo!

Good breakfast place with a nice selection of dishes. However, I ordered fried eggs instead of an omelet (it says it's made with three eggs, according to the menu), but only got one. A bit of a shame :) On my next visit, I had the omelet, which was delicious!

Overall, it was good, but nothing special and rather expensive. The bacon with the scrambled eggs was cold. Instead of getting new, hot bacon, the old bacon was thrown back into the pan and heated up. Frothing the oat milk for the cappuccino didn't work either.

Here you can order Kaiserschmarrn to your home without being disappointed by frozen food :) Fresh and fluffy, just as it should be 😃

We had breakfast here; the food was delicious, and there was a great selection of options. The service was also very friendly and attentive. The outdoor area is also nice for sitting outside in the summer.

It's such a shame. I've been going to the Neuhausen for 30 years. In the last few years, with a new manager, I've noticed that the place unfortunately doesn't accept children. That's fine in itself, but then perhaps they should state this explicitly on their website. Unfortunately, you're treated extremely rudely with children and the staff sometimes speak to you rudely. Also, the changing table in the restroom will be done away with at some point, so there are no longer any changing facilities. It was also not possible to exchange the white sausage breakfast, which includes beer, for a glass of water for the children; it would then be offered at full price without a drink. Such a lack of goodwill is simply unacceptable.

On June 4, 2024, I had a Wiener Schnitzel with iced tea and coffee for lunch. It was good. Orders have disappointed several times. A few days ago, the last one. In a schnitzel for almost €30, there was sometimes a ten-piece that was impossible to chew.

Stylish and lively restaurant, popular with what seemed to be locals. I went alone without a reservation, but the staff were very friendly. I had a breakfast set with a goat cheese omelet, Greek yogurt, and a café latte. A bit pricey for breakfast, but worth it for the lovely experience. Recommend making a reservation!

A very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, they initially refused to serve us outside (no service). After a very rainy day in Munich, however, we were longing for some sunshine. After a few words back and forth, it somehow worked, for which we were very grateful. The cappuccino was excellent.

This was my second time there for dinner, and each time I've experienced great service, good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is very extensive, with something for every taste.

We had breakfast, which also includes vegetarian dishes, avocado bread, and fruit bowls. Everything is highly recommended! The service was very attentive. Unfortunately, it was a bit noisy, but that's the clientele's fault, not the restaurant's.

Delicious food at reasonable prices for Munich. Truly exceptionally good and charmingly witty service (the whole team was in a great mood!). A fantastic atmosphere: we sat outside in the enchanting courtyard, and it truly deserves the attribute "ambiance." Only the awning, which was pulled down at the end, somewhat spoiled the atmosphere. My wife and I were there, and we both enjoyed the food immensely. We had a fantastic time! Thank you!

At breakfast a few days ago, there was a breakfast platter with Greek yogurt, a few grape halves, and nuts. It also came with three olives, four slices of Emmental cheese, a small scrambled egg, half an avocado, jam, cream cheese, and three small slices of white bread and three slices of whole-wheat bread. The current price is €19.90. The yogurt was natural. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was lively, as I remember from previous visits.

I can only recommend it. We were there with a group and saw only happy faces. Very quick service, and the overall service was also a plus. The food was wonderful and the portions were just right. There was something for everyone to enjoy, so it was a perfect evening. Thanks again to all the staff.

My partner and I went there for breakfast for our anniversary. The food and service were excellent. They serve pancakes, breakfast menus, and, in addition to the classic hot drinks, even ginger shots. We received very friendly service. While it's quite expensive for breakfast, I can still recommend it.

Ordered home. I'm sure that other restaurants only sell schnitzel and salad because customers don't know Neuhausen yet. Top class, my recommendation.

Luego unos 30 minutos para que la siguiente persona tome un café. Nuestra comida no llegó hasta la 1. 5 horas después. Pedí una tortilla con papas fritas caseras. Solo recibí un plato de lo que creo que fueron 3 huevos horneados (sin queso ni nada más) y por supuesto sin papas fritas caseras. Otros en nuestro grupo fueron igualmente cortos. Recibí nuestra factura de mesas y me cobraron por 4 cafés y 4 desayunos $ 94 CDN. Advertencia.

The food itself is quite acceptable. The only problem is that the prices are very high and at the same time the portions are very small. All in all, that makes it absolutely not worth it.

Food are very basic and normal.. I love the atmosphere sitting outside the restaurant.. but the waitress whispering by my ear and saying that I should give her tips 🙄 horrible experience! Been in Germany couple of days and never a restaurant ask for tips!I will give a tip for nice and kind services .. but please don’t demand and ask from customer .. this is not a way for demanding a tip!

We ordered black Angus burger, goat cheese salad, and teramisu and it was all absolutely delicious! The waitress was sweet and welcoming too. Really enjoyed our Monday lunch.

Such an amazing place to eat would 100% recommend, food is excellent and the service is exceptional, coffee was also excellent best coffee I’ve ever had was very smooth and the right strength. Was recommended by our hotel receptionist and to be honest can’t blame her it’s well worth it

We had a great breakfast here. The location is a nice mix between classical and modern elements which makes for a more light atmosphere.

Unfortunately, this breakfast plate with a small bread basket is far too expensive. The plate as it stands here costs €20. Tasty, but the price-performance ratio doesn't match.

We come here very often, the service is always in a good mood, everyone has fun and is very polite and accommodating. If you have any special requests when ordering, these are implemented perfectly and always brought to the table reliably. The price-performance ratio is reasonable, the portions are relatively large and tasty. I've never had a complaint here. Some chic people, wannabes “in locals” can take a big leaf out of this. Good restaurant with an extensive menu. After dining here two times it felt like some of the items are a bit repetitive, but each dish is executed nicely. The service is spot on and the restaurant is beautiful, definitely recommend to eat outside during the warmer months.

Unfortunately, after today's visit I was quite disappointed with the breakfast. Since I still have pictures from 2012 on my cell phone, where the breakfast plate was filled with plenty and variety, today I was disillusioned. In the Greek yogurt I had 5 halves of grapes and 4 nuts, plus three olives, 4 slices of Emmental, a tiny scrambled egg, half an avocado, a dollop of jam, a dollop of cream cheese, 3 small slices of white bread and 3 slices of whole wheat on the plate. I don't want to be petty and I know that everything has become more expensive, but €19.90 was simply too much. The yogurt was completely tasteless. But the service was very good and friendly and deserves at least 4 stars. The place was quite loud, but that's what it used to be.
