We haven't been there for a long time and yesterday's visit was certainly the last. As a starter we had a Caesar salad. This really had nothing to do with a real Caesar salad. The dressing was a ready-made product and super thick. This was simply dumped on a green salad. The pizzas were ok but definitely nothing special, so you have to go there again. There are definitely better and tastier pizza shops around. The service was friendly.

Nicely decorated, large restaurant with an outdoor area, great selection of pasta and pizza dishes - but the waiting time is very long, even though the restaurant wasn't full. We first had a starter (carpaccio, delicious), which came quickly. The pasta then took about 45 minutes to arrive. On the one hand, the service wanted to give us time for the starter, but on the other hand, we had clearly already finished it and sat around hungry for a long time. Too bad. Nevertheless, I would come back and maybe ask for the main course earlier. We paid just under €55 for 1x carpaccio (delicious!), 1x pizza bread, 2x pasta (Caserecce all' amatriciana - delicious and also very spicy and Penne Siciliane - unexpectedly delicious, smoky tomato sauce). The only bad thing was that my pasta was extremely hot and my partner's had already cooled down.

The food was delicious. The ambience is great and the waitresses were all committed and super friendly. What I found unfortunate, however, is that the truffle pasta is only served with truffle oil and not real truffles. That's what it says on the menu, so I knew that from the start. But it would be the icing on the cake! The bruscetta was to die for!

Unfortunately, an unsuccessful evening. The service today was subpar, apart from the fact that two meals were forgotten and then it took a long time until it came. We weren't asked once if we wanted something to drink. We always had to let us know and then twice because that was also forgotten. The truffle pasta was more like pasta in butter with parmesan but the pizza was super tasty. Unfortunately, no one asked whether it tasted good or whether everything was good. The ambience is great. Unfortunately, the men's toilets were dirty and the entire floor of the squat toilets was wet.

Everything about this place is absolutely perfect. It is definitely not expensive. You can't get better Italian food anywhere in Frankfurt. Drinks are also very delicious. I highly recommend Rigatoni Boscaiola. If you want to understand how good this place is, go to L'Ostria in the beginning of the same street and have the same food and see the difference.

Very lovely place to enjoy some Italian food. The service is friendly and very accommodating! We enjoyed and can recommend the fresh salads beforehand, as well as the truffle pasta, spaghetti with prawns, and ragú pasta. The place has many pictures on the walls which gives it a cosy vibe.

The food was very tasty. A small negative point is that our group's food and drinks arrived at the table with a delay, but this was due to the fact that the restaurant was very busy and is therefore understandable.

So the Italian version Carbonara as it says on the menu was bad on a scale of one to ten it was a 2.6 The bruschetta was a three out of ten The tiramisu was a good 6.5 out of ten

Friendly, tasty and worth a visit.

We have eaten here several times now. Whether it's lunch or dinner, the service is always super friendly and the food comes quickly! You can also eat a great salad here and the tiramisu is especially delicious!! We'll definitely come back :)

A nice place to socialize together. The food is good, the staff is friendly and the price-performance ratio is also good. Always recommended if you have something to say to each other after long meetings.

Look the food is great and have eaten here many times but when you ask 6,9 EURO's for a minestrone soup and all it is, is a tiny bit of water with 3 small pieces of carrots in, it is better to take it off the menu... I feel bad writing this as I never had a bad experience her. I just hope they act upon this feedback...

We are Italian restaurateurs ourselves and were on the move, which is why we spontaneously decided to have lunch here after the many positive reviews. My father ordered the Italian Carbonara version, which is prepared without cream. The dish came prepared with a whole egg. It was scrambled eggs with bacon and spaghetti. Note for readers: Only the egg yolk goes into an original carbonara. Even if there is no bacon in a carbonara, we won't complain about it here, as it was, to be fair, mentioned in the menu. My father asked the short-haired waitress if the chef was Italian. She replied "Yes" and turned around and left while my father continued to politely talk to her. She didn't respond or stop or come back to our table. No go! My mother ordered an appetizer plate. This came with artichokes and black pitted olives, which you would normally only find on an inferior pizza, raw, carelessly cut green peppers, fried champions, only 1 slice each of vitello tonnato, coppa, salami. Mysteriously, there were also lemon seeds on the plate, which didn't come from the tonnato. The antipasti plate wasn't seasoned and unfortunately we couldn't ask for an olier because the waitress disappeared completely. The bread that was served with this was from the day before. No go! My friend ordered a tuna and red onion pizza. The only thing where apparently not much can be done wrong. I had a pappardelle with wild boar ragù. Unfortunately, the noodles were extremely soft and not from the same day. In terms of taste, the ragù was edible. To clear the table, the lady came to the table and asked if everything was okay. My father said that he was unfortunately disappointed with the spaghetti. Here, too, there was no demand from the waitress, which meant something was wrong with the food. She simply replied with a fake smile that she would tell the kitchen. When we got to the kitchen we heard loud complaining. There was also no demand from the chef at our table. No go! Finally, we politely called the lady “sorry” to ask for the bill. She didn't look at us, but continued to look at something behind the bar. We were sitting right next to the bar, so she couldn't miss us! So we kept talking and ultimately politely asked for the bill. Again she answers “Yes”. Her gaze was still tilted downwards. No eye contact at all. No go! Did the team have a bad day? I don't know! However, the restaurant only had 3 tables with us at the time. So you can't speak of stress during peak times, but you can speak of dishes that have already been prepared so that guests can be processed quickly during peak times. Unfortunately, quality and taste are completely lost. Where are all the Italians where you can enjoy your meal at the table like Mom and Nonna?

Wir sind hier öfters geschäftlich am essen. Die antipasti Platte ist göttlich, und der Service ist wirklich immer sehr bemüht auch wenn wir wirklich viele Leute waren. Der wolfsbarsch war überraschend gut und auch die pasta Platte war super lecker.

I ate the Fiocchi formaggio e pere. Unfortunately the dough wasn't that fresh and some fiocchi were half cold. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant is good and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall a mixed experience.

Delicious pizza in a cool Italian atmosphere. The pizza is a great size. Not too small and not too big. The service is attentive and relatively quick. We thought it was a shame to pay extra for some garlic oil for the pizza. Something like that shouldn't be the case. There is also no bread or olives in front. That could be improved. We still like to come every now and then for a delicious pizza and a wine.

Accueil excellent. Le personnel est plus qu’accueillant, souriant et très polyvalent. La cuisine est bonne, italienne. Les pizzas, les pâtes, les gnocchis mais surtout la bruschetta sont très satisfaisant. Un plaisir de dîner dans cet endroit chaleureux à la décoration atypique et à l’ambiance conviviale.

As a group of 10 people, we came hungry to eat at Alex after a seminar without a reservation. We were immediately given a warm welcome, the waiter was very friendly, the food was great for everyone and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. Life is Beautiful is a highly recommended restaurant, with something for every palate.

Es passt mal wieder alles, schnelle Bedienung, freundliche Ansprache, gute Preise. Kein Geschwurbel und kein Geschwätz…. so, kann Gastro auf der Union sein und bleiben. Hervorragend…..

The pizza was delicious and baked perfectly, just the way I like it! Beforehand, I enjoyed a refreshing Aperol Spritz, which was the perfect introduction to the meal. The service was exceptionally attentive and friendly. An all-round successful lunch

...but it wasn't the food. You can eat good and bad pizza in Ffm - here it was pretty bad, my son and I felt bad about it during and after the meal. No recommendation for eating pizza!

Chicly furnished, very cozy location! As of this review, it was my fourth visit there. Unfortunately, it is noticeable that the staff and service take a very long time to take orders/food. Things were different in fall 2022/spring 2023. However, the food is great and tastes just like a real Italian restaurant. ;) We'd love to come back!

The worst Italian of my life, I'm even more likely to go to Pizzaria Roma in Fürth. We were there with the company, the service was extremely slow, even though the shop was a maximum of 50% full, the pizzas were rather mediocre and the Gnocci Gorgonzola were pure cream without any Gorgonzola taste. The penne arrabiata wasn't even remotely spicy, it tasted like Napoli sauce from a can. Veal schnitzel was too salty. The only good thing is the dessert, which is why it only gets 2 stars.

A place to go if you go to Frankfurt

Dinner with colleagues after a long day of work. Place is one the most popular restaurants and reservations are needed. It is really crowded on a midweek evening. It has nice atmosphere however not spacious and lot of noise making good conversations difficult. Food is good though my saltimbocca was drenched. Not the best Italian restaurant in my experience.

Pizza was super tasty. Topping fresh and spicy and dough crispy. Food came quickly and hot. Drinks took a while, but still within limits. Has an Italian flair, also due to the volume

Very nice restaurant. The pizza is sensational. Super thin base with crispy edges. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The many photos on the wall create a nice atmosphere.

The shop is beautifully decorated, lots of pictures on the wall, it smells like pizza when you come in. Food was delicious, service was also great. The only drawback for me is that it is a bit very narrow and squashed, we had to squeeze a bit together at the table and almost had the people from the other table behind us. Because of this narrow space it can get a bit too loud.

The service is really great, what the boys and girls can do in one evening, unbelievable and yet always friendly and in a good mood. Unfortunately, the food is just okay, and my portion of noodles wasn't particularly generous either. I wouldn't necessarily go there again for the food.

Amazing flavors. The pepperoni pizza was spicy just like I prefer. The spaghetti bolognese had an amazing spicy taste. I would recommend all of it.

Vorab möchte ich erwähnen, dass ich insgesamt zwei Male in diesem Restaurant gegessen habe. Beim ersten Mal war alles soweit in Ordnung bis darauf, dass die älteren Kellner etwas gestresst waren und der Ton gegenüber dem Kunden nicht wirklich vornehmend zu sein scheint. Dann sollte man jedoch mehr Personal einstellen, da sich dies ansonsten negativ auf die Kundschaft auswirkt, was man anhand der anderen Bewertungen erkennt. Jetzt zu dem Grund, weshalb ich einen Stern vergebe. Ich hatte beim zweiten Mal einen Caesar Salad mit Hähnchenstreifen bestellt. Nachdem ich alles verzehrt hatte merkte ich schon, dass irgendetwas in meinem Magen nicht stimmt, weshalb ich auch kein Trinkgeld da gelassen habe, woraufhin ich von dem Herren nicht mal verabschiedet worden bin. Kurz gesagt: Ich hatte die schlimmste Nacht meines Lebens. Insgesamt habe ich mich im Abstand von dreißig Minuten sieben Mal übergeben und Durchfall ohne Ende gehabt. Fakt ist, dass es mir nach dem Essen nicht gut ging. Ich versuche weder das Restaurant schlecht zu machen noch jemanden runterzuziehen. Ich teile lediglich meine Erfahrung, damit sowas nicht wieder passiert. Das Lokal an sich ist mal was anderes.

Wunderschönes Ambiente. Wollte mit meiner besten Freundin eigentlich woanders hin, aufgrund der Spontanität hatten wir uns dann für hier entschieden und bereuen es keineswegs! Sehr aufmerksamer Service das Essen war auch wirklich ein Genuss vom Salat bis hin zur Pasta aus der empfehlungskarte. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend lieben Dank an das Team und besonders an den zuvorkommenden Kellner!🫶🏽

Eigentlich ein super schönes Restaurant. Die Wände mit den Fotos finde ich super. Zum Essen. Die Pizza war ganz gut. Die Artischocken auf der Pizza jedoch schlecht geschält und hölzern. Ansonsten gut. Das Schnitzel war nicht paniert, was nicht schlimm ist. Aber es war einfach zu dick, überhaupt nicht geklopft und somit irgendwie zäh. Soße und Kartoffeln geschmacklich gut. Das größte Manko empfand ich jedoch die viel zu enge Bestuhlung. Man saß soooo eng aufeinander. Wir saßen an langer Tafel direkt an der Wand. Wenn einer raus wollte mussten 5 andere aufstehen um Platz zu machen. Gemütlich ist anders. Ich weiß nicht, ob es immer so eng bestuhlt ist oder nur in der Vorweihnachtszeit. Service war nett und unterhaltsam ☺️.

Wegen Umbauarbeiten war leider der Pizzaofen gesperrt, die Pasta war gut.

Wir waren als Teamevent hier. Das Restaurant hat sicherlich seinen Flair, ist aber geschmacklich und akustisch eher oberes Mittelfeld. Leider hatten wir den Platz direkt am Ein- u Ausgang was unsere Damen etwas frösteln lies. Das Servicepersonal war ausgesprochen freundlich und trotz der Hohen Anzahl an Besuchern recht zügig :)

Super Pizza und Pasta. Auch wenn es etwas teurer ist lohnt es sich.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen dort essen. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam, das Essen war gut und das Ambiente auch gut. Ich hatte selbstgemachte Nudeln, die super lecker geschmeckt haben aber leider etwas wenig waren. Tiramisu zum Nachtisch war dafür eine wuchtige Portion.

Leckeres Essen zu guten Preisen, aber es war seeeeehr voll und wir haben uns dann zwischen zwei Tische quetschen müssen.

Essen ist einfach und lieblos auf die Teller gepascht. Die Pizzen sind viel zu groß im Durchmesser und sehr dünn belegt. Der ganze Laden ist von hektig und unerträglicher Lautstärke umgeben. Dazu tragen vor allem die Kellner bei wenn sie die Tische neu eindecken und die Stühle verücken. Einziger Lichtblick am Samstag war die wirklich sehr angagierte blonde Bedienung. Fazit von mir, nie mehr. Sorry Leute, Bei Euch war das Leben nicht schön.

Wir hatten für den 8.11.23 2 Plätze reserviert. Und waren bei der Ankunft angenehm überrascht. Schönes Ambiente, alle Plätze belegt. Schneller Service und gute Küche. Leider lieferten sich gegen Ende unseres Besuchs 2 Kellner (1 davon evtl. der Chef) ein übles, lautes Wortgefecht. Schade. Leider sind die Toiletten im KG völlig inakzeptabel und passen nicht zu dem oberen schönen Restaurant mit viel Italien-Kolorit. Wir sind professionelle Hoteltester u. Service-Qualitätstrainer und bewerten stets objektiv und fair.

Einfach tolles Restaurant. Manchmal laut wie in einer Bahnhofshalle, aber typisch italienisch. Ich liebe es.

So gut wie jeden Tag voll, aber zu zweit bekommt man eigentlich immer einen Platz. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service top. Durch die Menge an Menschen hat man eine sehr laute Geräuschkulisse.

Upon arriving at the Marriott Moxy Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, a business colleague and I walked 7 minutes from the hotel to this restaurant for dinner. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waiter was very pleasant and entertaining in describing the menu. I decided to keep it light with a large house salad with grilled chicken. The house dressing was a vinaigrette. The mix and balance of the vegetables was excellent. The vegetables were very fresh and flavorful. The chicken bits were perfectly sized and appeared to be air-fried. The texture and taste of the chicken was perfect. I had a class of Chianti, and it was full-bodied and delicious. My recommendation is that this restaurant would be a solid choice to dine, and they can accommodate large parties.
