Der Slogan : Gut Bürgerlich bei Freunden ist hier absolut Programm. Das Essen ist klasse, das Ambiente ist draußen wie drinnen Top, und wenn man Glück hat, kann man drinnen sogar noch den Pferden in der Halle zusehen. Wie immer ein rund herum toller Abend.

Eigentlich hatten wir diese Bewertung schon nach unserem Besuch im April schreiben sollen. Wir hatten zweimal das Glück, einen Tisch im "EssZimmer "zu bekommen, einmal sogar gemeinsam mit unserem Sohn, zu seinem 22. Geburtstag. Beide Abende waren etwas ganz besonderes. Das hervorragende Essen, der aufmerksame Service und die angenehme Atmosphäre haben uns begeistert. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch und können das Restaurant von Herzen weiter empfehlen. Das Restaurant liegt etwas abseits der der Innenstadt in einem Industriegebiet, was aber nicht schlimm ist. Der Biergarten ist sehr schön eingerichtet und die Damen vom Service sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist wirklich gut bürgerlich und regional , aber damit werben sie ja auch. Also ich war zufrieden mit meinem Besuch.

Ein schönes Ambiente, sehr freundliche Servicekräfte, sehr leckeres Essen und humane Preise - was will man mehr? Hier hat alles gestimmt. Dieses Restaurant können wir guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Die Preise waren angemessen. Empfehlenswert.

Sehr gutes Essen, fairer Preis,super Qualität und man weis wo das Essen herkommt. Besser geht es nicht. Portion war auch mehr als sättigend und dann noch dazu das tolle Ambiente sowohl drin als auch draußen. Sehr gemütlich. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen

Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden bestimmt noch mal hingehen.

Ich hatte mir ein Tagesgericht, mit einer Portion frischen Spargel, Salzkartoffeln, Sauce Hollandaise und Kalbsschnitzel bestellt. Ich muss leider sagen, dass der Spargel sehr wässrig schmeckte( leider im Wasser gegart, nicht im Dampf)! Die Sauce Hollandaise war aber selbstgemacht und schön cremig aufgeschlagen. Das Kalbsschnitzel war sehr lecker, zart und super gebraten. Hätten allerdings für den Preis auch zwei kleine sein dürfen, anstatt ein kleines. Die Portion Salzkartoffeln auch etwas dürftig. Ich finde nur, dass das Preisleistungsverhältnis für dieses Gericht von stolzen 32,-€ sehr hoch war. Allerdings hat der Nachtisch mich total umgehauen! Ein Bailley's Mouse mit Crunch (Cornflakes mit weißer Schokolade), einfach göttlich😋

Wir sind eher spontan ins EssZimmer Herborn zum Abendessen eingekehrt. Obwohl eigentlich alles reserviert war, hat das Team kurzerhand umdisponiert und uns doch noch einen Platz ermöglicht. Allein dafür schon ein großes Dankeschön! Der Service blieb den ganzen Abend über aufmerksam, herzlich und angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Speisekarte macht richtig Lust aufs Essen, mit abwechslungsreichen Tagesgerichten und einer insgesamt sehr ansprechenden Auswahl. Auch die Dessertkarte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Essen selbst war durchweg sehr lecker und qualitativ absolut überzeugend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Ambiente: Von außen eher unscheinbar, innen aber überraschend gemütlich... fast wie ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Esszimmer bei der Großmutter. Der Blick in die angrenzende Reithalle gibt dem Ganzen noch eine besondere Note. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

War heute zum Essen da. Es war sehr lecker und die Bedienungen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wer leckeres, deftiges Essen mit Ausblick auf eine Reithalle sucht ist hier Bestens aufgehoben. Ich komme wieder!

Wir waren heute das erste mal im EssZimmer. Das Lokal war bis auf den letzten Platz belegt,wir hatten aber reserviert. Die Einrichtung ist klasse. Sieht aus wie im Esszimmer meiner Oma.Alte Tische,alte Stühle,passende Deko.Die Bedienungen sind immer auf ZACK. Freundlich und zuvorkommend.Jetzt zum Essen: Super große Portionen,vieleicht etwas zu groß, fürs Auge angerichtet und der Geschmack war auch richtig gut. Klare weiterempfehlung, wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Gruß aus Lützeln Mario

Das Esszimmer würde von mir sogar 6 Sterne bekommen. Wir waren heute zum Mittagessen dort und sind wie immer hellauf begeistert. Man sollte vorbestellen wenn man einen Tisch haben möchte. Das essen war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr nett. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und erinnert wirklich an ein Esszimmer. Wir fanden es sehr gemütlich vorallem die Aussicht auf die Reithalle hat was Anziehendes. Also von uns eine 100 %ige Empfehlung.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, flott und kompetent. Das Ambiente war sehr angenehm, gemütlich, man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen.

Beautiful ambiance, great service, friendly and very attentive. I had a schnitzel with feta cheese and fried potatoes, coleslaw, and homemade tzatziki. The food was amazing, and I highly recommend this place!

My girlfriend and friends visited this lovely restaurant. We were lucky that the weather cooperated, allowing us to sit in the beer garden. The service was excellent, as was the food. We would go back anytime. A top-notch place.

We ate there with a very large group during a group meeting in Herborn. Everything went smoothly, from the reservation to the meal. The food is always fresh and delicious, the value is great, and the staff is super friendly. The EssZimmer is always worth a visit when you're in Herborn.

We were there on Saturday as part of a larger group and had a reservation for outside seating. Whether it was a burger, schnitzel, or steak, everything was absolutely outstanding. The service was also exemplary. No glass remained empty for more than five minutes. Absolutely outstanding.

It was our first time there. When all the seats in the dining room are taken, it can be very loud, but you can still have a conversation. The service was very polite, courteous, and relaxed. The food was excellent. Some parking spaces are directly in front of the building, others further to the right in front of a fence. Otherwise, parking is also available on the street or at other "businesses." Highly recommended!

The staff there are very courteous, helpful, and friendly. Everything is well-equipped and comfortable. The food is very good, very tasty, and plentiful. The prices are also reasonable. I think it will be difficult to get a seat without a reservation. We only had a 10-minute wait, as we were a bit early.

Highly recommended! The service is attentive, communicative, friendly, and at least well-trained. We found the pork to be from a nearby butcher and the beef raised in the Westerwald region to be an absolute highlight. Absolutely top-notch, sustainable, and regional. The rump steak was cooked to perfection and a true feast for the palate. The pork schnitzel was just as delicious and recognizable as a real piece of meat. The portion size was just right, and the dessert was also beautifully presented and delicious. FYI: We sat in the beer garden.

After our short city tour, we stopped here on the way to our hotel. After our first cold beer, I ate the delicious BBQ burger with sweet potato fries. Mmm, delicious. The service was a bit stressed but friendly nonetheless. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again.

And I can highly recommend this place. It's a lovely restaurant, which, although always small, is really cozy inside and beautifully furnished and decorated. You can also sit in the beer garden. The food and drinks are absolutely reasonably priced. The dishes are incredibly delicious and the portions are generous—what more could you want? The waitresses are very attentive and friendly, making it a pleasure to come here.

Rump steak with pepper sauce and fried potatoes. Veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and cranberries. Before that, a kaft broth with semolina dumplings. Everything was very tasty and friendly service. They even called again to point out the defective EC device. Very nice atmosphere with a view of the riding arena.

Today we had a 'goose to go' with dumplings, red cabbage and sauce. Perfectly prepared, all we had to do was finish cooking the goose in our own oven and heat up the side dishes. Prepared a wonderful meal in a relaxed manner. The taste was like a dream, as if we had eaten directly in the restaurant. Best recommendation…and not just for the goose.

Had dinner with 4 colleagues. Great atmosphere with friendly service. Pepper schnitzel is a highlight and the falafel burger is also a delight for vegetarians. We always enjoy coming here.

Unfortunately, the pepper schnitzel tasted as if a pack of Tic Tac had been stirred into the sauce. But that wasn't the worst by far. We wanted to order an apple crumble for dessert, but we were then told that we had to eat it outside because our table would be reserved for someone else in 20 minutes, something that had never been discussed before. I've never experienced anything so cheeky! To top it off, an ice cream and an espresso were forgotten. That was the first and last time!!!

We spontaneously had dinner here on a Friday. We were quite early (~5:30 p.m.) and were lucky that there was still a table available. As a rule, however, it is advisable to make a reservation - during our visit, some of those who had not reserved unfortunately had to be sent away. The restaurant's name says it all: the dining room is furnished like a large dining room - cozy and familiar. The service is very friendly. For food there is good home-style cuisine - including burgers, schnitzel or cheese spaetzle. Vegan dishes are also offered and are marked accordingly on the menu. The food is very tasty and the portions are very generous. The prices are average, not cheap but not expensive either (mushroom cream schnitzel with fries €16.50; winter burger with fries €15.50). We'd love to come back!

Our favorite restaurant in Herborn. We're actually regulars 😉 The food is always top notch, whether it's the hottest burgers in the world, the Cordon, which comes close to the Austrian one (at least) or the delicious salads. ...the Teges menu shouldn't be forgotten either...as well as the recurring whiskey tasting...In addition, great and constantly changing wines with a small recommendation of the current "selection" on the table. Great atmosphere and the hosts anyway ❤️

The food is great! German specialties! Friendly staff! Prices absolutely OK. Unfortunately not barrier-free. At the entrance the stairs and the toilets in the basement. A disadvantage and a bit difficult for walkers. Unfortunately not manageable for a wheelchair. At most, the beer garden outside. However, I would recommend that there is a lot of room for improvement. The old wooden chairs are not very comfortable. There are also more comfortable chairs or one or two benches wouldn't be bad. There's really nothing else to criticize. Only this seating furniture really needs to be replaced.

Very tasty food...German quality with an extra touch of something different. Tasty pepper sauce or mushroom sauce. Dessert was delicious ice cream. Location inside is not really big so make a reservation!!! We were lucky to have a delicious meal in the garden in London.
