Today I wanted to buy a coffee to go for a nice walk in the zoo park. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience at this cafe. At first it took a long time for them to "serve" us at the window for to-go drinks. Then I was allowed to shout (!) to the employee that I would like a latte macchiato with oat milk. After about 2 minutes I got the drink. To pay by card, I put my card on the reader. I couldn't see the display. Did it work? Apparently, because the gentleman immediately brought the device back to its original location and that was it. No “thank you” or “bye” or anything like that. He didn't even look at us anymore. Such behavior is impossible, no matter if you are stressed, because these words are the minimum. The “highlight” came when I tried the latte macchiato. He served it to me with cow's milk. Absolute no-go, because there are allergy sufferers like me who cannot tolerate cow's milk! What did I learn from this visit? 1. I no longer visit this café. 2. Always ask again whether it really is with oat drink (in other cafes it was always prepared correctly for me). P. S.: The walk was still nice! 🌞🌳

We like to go to Alfreds regularly, even for an Aperol in the evening 😉. For some time now, however, it has been noticeable that the pieces of cake are getting smaller and smaller. Today, however, the negative peak. The piece of frosted apple pie was less than twice the size of a matchbox! The price of €3.80 is totally excessive. Sorry, but that can also scare off coffee cake customers! 👎

Had the pulled beef burger with fries - tasty, but could do with some sauce and I find €1.50 for some mayonnaise really cheeky given the already high prices.

Came quite late in the evening but still got to sit calmly and have a nice glass of wine on recommendation of the house.

Super delicious breakfast Service is nice and attentive A little more expensive than other cafes that serve breakfast, but it's worth every cent. I haven't had a better breakfast anywhere else 🩷

The wedding party had a fantastic day at Alfreds and were excellently looked after from the champagne reception to the Latenigh Club. The service is top notch!

Went to Alfreds today and go there often. Unfortunately the taller blonde waitress was really bad today. She was completely arrogant, unfriendly and condescending. It seemed to us that she was extremely arrogant because we were foreigners. She wasn't like that at other tables. It's a real shame because the boss is always so nice. As a group of mothers, we always love going to Alfred's, but the behavior today was really not okay and the condescending look from top to bottom wasn't working at all.

Great change and enrichment at the zoo park. After renovation with plenty of space and a large selection of drinks and food.

Very good cappuccino, juice spritzers also homemade, everything was very tasty. Various cakes are also recommended. Fast and attentive service. The café/restaurant is located directly at the zoo park, so it's ideal for walking a few steps afterwards.

I've been there twice now and have to say that the food tastes good, but the portions are relatively small. That's why there is one point less!

A cozy cafe with a nice view to the Zoo park; a great place for afternoon coffee and cake. The staff are very friendly and the quality of food and drinks is excellent.

We (2) were here for the first time and sat outside in the beautiful sunshine. Until the evening shift there is apparently only one waitress outside. She seemed a bit stressed - understandable - when it's full. We ate a veggie burger and tagliatelle carbonara from the lunch menu for €9.90. What do you expect from a lunch menu? Exactly - that a dish from here will fill you up. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with the carbonara because the portion was so small that I had to order two. When asked about this from inside, the waitress said in monosyllables that there was no other way to do business. My companion - 30 years of gastronomy experience - and I saw it differently. Then it's better to ask for 2-3 euros more, but serve decent portions. Then we drank Alfred's lemonade. We assumed it would be something homemade...it was passion fruit nectar with seltzer water and some mint. We found it a bit misleading. The cake (poppy seeds with a layer of citrus jelly) was very tasty, as was the Americano. We spent a few hours in a pleasant and sociable atmosphere, the location is beautiful.

I've been here twice and I don't want to anymore. You have to wait at least 20 minutes for one drink. Or your order will be just forgotten.

A small, fine cafe, with small dishes, also vegetarian (vegan?) and cakes made in-house. Located in close proximity to the Unterrath cemetery, which is why we were there; after a funeral service. Lines 705 and 707 also have their final stop in this area

Was here for the first time. Very mixed audience, I really like it. I find prices for avocado bread, for example, very expensive.

Worst place ever. We have been waiting on a line 15 minutes to order and then they told us that they had too many orders and it wasn’t possible. Afterwards we’ve taken sit on a table outside and have been one hour waiting for an orange juice and granola yogurt. After one hour of waiting we had to leave and they wanted to charge us for the food that we weren’t served.

I only had coffee to go. But the service was just chaotic! Waiters are running all over the place, nobody cares about customers who want something to take away.

Went there for brunch and I ordered the Easter special. My dish, and the dishes from other tables, were swimming in mayonnaise. To then charge almost 16 euros for that is crazy. My partner's dish was more palatable, but also not a hit. Especially not for these high prices. The ambience is very nice, you feel comfortable. The waiters are also really very friendly and helpful. I would only come here for drinks, but I wouldn't eat there anymore. For the veggies: Be sure to ask whether the dishes contain meat. There were two strips of bacon on my dish which was not specified on the menu!

True tolerance does not end when someone has a different opinion. A pity. No one should be denied the right to use the restroom, especially since I offered to pay for it.

Super leckere Küche mit tollem Ambiente direkt am Park . Es gibr dort hausgemachte sehr leckere Kuchen . Sehr kinderfreundlich und top Servicekräfte.

Mittags ist die Speisekarte kleiner als abends, es sollte sich aber dennoch eine Möglichkeit finden. Die Innenbestuhlung verwirrt etwas, da die bequemeren Sitzmöbel außen angeordnet sind und die Notsitze an der attraktiveren Wandlage. Preislich in Ordnung, gerade für Düsseldorf-Zoo, die Bedienung ist freundlich, und das Essen schmeckt.

Alfreds is a very nice cafe/restaurant because the ambience is consistently harmonious. It is a place where no matter whether young or old feels comfortable. Everyone is welcome, whether alone or in groups. I've had one or two latte macchiatos and homemade cakes there myself. Both were very tasty. I now have the impression that no matter what cake I eat there, they always taste delicious :). The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Finally a café and bistro in the zoo park that is also nicely decorated. The service is very good and friendly. There are weekly changing lunch dishes and other tasty little things. Breakfast and cake anyway. In summer you can also sit outside. Also suitable for children as there is a play area. Now in winter it could be a little warmer inside sometimes.

Tip Top in all areas. Service very nice and attentive. Food very tasty and fair prices. Small play area for kids and the staff was very fond of children. Some children's meals and children's meals. Very, very great!

A relatively new cafe located at the entrance to Zoo Park. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a wide selection of menus, and for lunch you can get pasta for as little as €9. The inside of the restaurant is larger than I expected, but it's very busy and noisy during lunchtime, so I don't think it's suitable for when you want to have a leisurely conversation.

It's nice, but totally overpriced...the fries cost 5.50 euros last year, now they cost 9.50 euros!!!!! This is a rip off

I love sitting in the café and looking out over the zoo park. Cakes and drinks are very tasty and the waitresses are always very friendly, even if it is very crowded and chaotic (like every Sunday).

Alfreds is a very cute and family-friendly café. I've been there several times and had breakfast, lunch or got a snack - and I have to say that the food was always great in taste and well prepared. Can only recommend this café for a visit after a leisurely walk in the zoo park.

Hier bezahlt man die Lage und das doppelt und dreifach… es war vor der Rezession schon überteuert und jetzt versucht sich hier die Besitzerin auch noch die Inflation der nächsten zehn Jahre zu sichern. Kundenfreundlichkeit kennen auch nur die Angestellten, nicht die Besitzerin.

Wir haben heute Mittag Getränke to Go bestellt. Zwei Mitarbeiterinnen waren mega freundlich. Die uns die Getränke vorbereitet hat war mega unsympathisch und unfreundlich!!! Wir hatten drei Getränke mit Hafermilch bestellt und Sie hat normale Milch verwendet. (Kann mal vorkommen) Wir haben Sie darauf aufmerksam gemacht, daraufhin hat Sie die to Go Becher mit voller Wut ins Waschbecken geschleudert „jut dann eben von neu“. Schrecklich!!! Ich denke dass ich kein zweites Mal kommen werde, sorry!

Super süß! Das Alfred's passt perfekt an den Zoopark, es ist ein rundum gelungenes Konzept. Die Einrichtung ist sehr modern, die Kaffeespezialitäten sind von hoher Qualität und es wird auf Nachhaltigkeit geachtet (gläserne Trinkhalme). Es gibt eine sehr umfangreiche Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl. Ich freue mich sehr, dass wir so ein schönes Etablissement in der Nähe haben! Teilweise sind die Fotos der Speisen veraltet, weil die Karte noch häufig wechselt.

Es schmeckt gut und das Personal ist freundlich. Im Sommer sitzt es sich auch sehr schön draußen - doch im Winter riecht man nach paar Minuten im Innenraum bereits nach Fritteuse.

We spontaneously decided to return and have my birthday dinner here too. So I was keen to leave another review as the quality of the dish we ordered (truffle risotto), service and vibes exceeded my expectations once again. Thank you Team Alfreds for making this birthday meal so special!!🎈

Ein kurzer Arztbesuch, dann sollte ein Frühstück den Morgen krönen. Ein Blick in Google mit der Frage „Frühstück?“ und das Alfreds ploppte auf. Wer in dieser Ecke von Düsseldorf mal eine Auszeit braucht, ist hier mehr als richtig. Neben einem kleinen, aber niedlichen Park mit See und Rundweg, liegt der Bungalow vom „Alfred‘s“. Hier kann man sowohl draußen wie auch drinnen Frühstück und mehr über den Tag (Mittagessen etc.) genießen. Die Auswahl auf der Karte ist klein, fein und kreativ. Auch kleine Leute finden zwei Gerichte zur Auswahl. Ein Stück Kuchen oder Kaffee to go kann man hier ebenfalls bekommen. Der Service war unglaublich nett und aufmerksam, Essen und Getränke (super leckerer Latte Macchiato und frisch gepresster O-Saft sowie Chai Latte) kamen rasch und waren sehr lecker! Geht mal hin! Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen!

Sehr schönes Café am Eingang des Zooparks. Die neuen Pächter haben echt etwas tolles geschaffen. Super netter Service, total schöne Einrichtung und ein leckeres Essensangebot, was man auf jeden Fall ausprobieren sollte. Lecker gegessen bei Sonnenschein und Blick in den Park💕 immer Bewegung im Grünen. Toller Ort

war das erstmal dort und muss leider zu meinem bedauern 3 Punkte abziehen. Wenn man Personal Mangel hat sollte man sein Platzanzahl anpassen. Wir haben knapp 25 Minuten gewartet bis die Kellnerin gekommen ist und dann nochmal 20 Minuten bis unsere Getränke kamen. Für 4 Getränke knapp 50 Minuten warten ist eher ein Armutszeugnis. Die Getränke waren OK. Preisleistung ist für Düsseldorfer Verhältnis in der Gegend OK. Aber dafür sollte der Service passen. Die Kellnerin die uns bedient hat war sehr im stress, aber dafür kann Sie nichts. Da sollte der GF besser organisieren oder die Gäste hierzu einfach abholen und mitteilen, dass es länger dauert. Da es bei mir um die Ecke ist, werde ich nochmal hingehen um zuschauen , ob sich die Situation verbessert hat. Nach der letzten Erfahrung, wurde ich eher zu NEIN tendieren. Manko: Service zu lange. Tische wurden erst nach Aufforderung sauber gemacht. Fazit. Netter Café am ZOOPARK.Der Service ist überfordert wegen Personalmangel. Trotz allem war der Service nett. Preise sind in einem etwas hohen Segment. Wenn der Service stimmen wurde wer das OK.

Ich war jetzt mehrmals essen, es besteht noch sehr viel Luft nach oben, es war wirklich nicht überragend. Dafür ist das Personal unfassbar nett und freundlich. Und die Kuchen sind toll ❤️

Do not order matcha latte here. I ordered matcha latte with oat milk for take away and I got this drink that I had to throw away as it was nothing like matcha and the taste was just terrible.

Schöne Location und sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind allerdings leider bei uns 5 Personen jeweils viel zu klein gewesen. Wirklich schade.

Erster und letzter Besuch. Personal ist eher abwesend und unfreundlich, das Frühstück überteuert und einfallslos, die Qualität maximal durchschnittlich.

Tolles Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. KEIN Schnitzel mit Pommes in Pommesbudenqualität, sondern raffiniert paniertes Schnitzel, das neugierig auf die anderen Gerichte macht. Bin gespannt auf den Sommer !!!

Nach einem Spaziergang im Zoopark auf eine gesunde Kleinigkeit hier einkehren - einfach Top! Gute abwechslungsreiche Karte ab 17 Uhr, netter Service, nette Einrichtung - ein guter Ort für einen Plausch mit einer Freundin.

Hübsches Restaurant und sehr leckeres Essen 👍🏻 Service war ausgesprochen nett. Empfehlenswert auch für Kinder, es gibt eine süße Spielecke im hinteren Bereich.

Das Kennenlernen des gastronomischen Angebots im Düsseltal macht Spaß, wenn alles stimmt: das Ambiente, der Service und last not least die Küche. Das Kuchenangebot bei Alfred’s find ich mäßig, da die Portionen etwas klein und unverhältnismäßig teuer sind. Geschmacklich sind sie auch nicht der Hit. Aber um so besser ist das Mittagstisch Angebot. Heute bei klirrender Kälte bestellte ich „Bunte Spätzlepfanne mit Paprika, Pilzen und Bergkäse“ Schon der Anblick des farbenfrohen Arrangements auf meinem Teller erweckte Frühlings- aber auch Heimatgefühle. Im Schwabenland groß geworden, weiß ich wovon ich spreche. Die Spätzle waren auf den Punkt al dente gekocht und unter das farbenprächtige Gemüse waren ein paar dünne Papaya- oder Mangostreifen (?) gemischt. Das Ganze rundete -nach meinem Geschmack - der gratinierte Bergkäse leicht deftig - aber optimal harmonisch ab. Ein wenig Fantasie an die Macht - und der herbe Wintereinbruch war vergessen und das für nur 9.50€!

Nach einem Spaziergang im Zoopark sind wir hier eingekehrt…eine echte Bereicherung! Freundlich, sehr ansprechend…leckerrr :)

Wir waren mit 6 Personen frühstücken. Auf meine Frage, kann ich 2 Spiegeleier mit Brot bekommen, hieß es erst nein, dann ja. Die Spiegeleier wurden mit € 13.90 berechnet. Unfassbar!! Die teuersten Eier meines Lebens. 🙈

Top caffè, top Service und schönes Ambiente mit Terrasse im grünen. es fehlt einem an nichts und man kann dort wirklich genießen. Die Teller sind super angerichtet und der Geschmack und Qualität der Gerichte ist wirklich on point. Danke liebes Alfred's Team, werden immer wieder gerne vorbei kommen und schlemmen. 5 Sterne

Schönes kleines Café. Leckerer Kuchen und Kaffee. Wir halten regelmäßig bei einem Spaziergang durch den Zoopark.

Wir haben in toller Atmosphäre ein paar schöne Stunden verbracht. Es war einiges los, trotzdem wurden wir promt bedient. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
