This was our first time here today, and it certainly won't be our last. The waiter is absolutely fantastic. You can tell from the moment you arrive that he loves his job. Sadly, that's a rare find these days. The food was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

Already furnished, and the service was friendly and attentive. The menu itself is good, though sometimes a bit eclectic, leaving some to wonder what their intentions are. The food was generally good, and the portion sizes were adequate, if a little small. It lacked that final touch from the kitchen to truly impress me. Daniels is a good choice for a pleasant evening, but it's not a restaurant I'd absolutely love.

We were greeted and served by very friendly staff. However, I found the physical contact somewhat inappropriate; perhaps it was meant to convey a chummy, buddy-like atmosphere? The ambiance is very good, with plenty of space between the tables, and the noise level is acceptable. The food was a mixed bag, ranging from very satisfactory to completely dissatisfied. The Wiener Schnitzel certainly didn't deserve the name; it was too thin and dry, with too much breading that fell off and wasn't crispy, and unfortunately, the taste was abysmal. The fries were okay, but any fast-food joint could make them, and the cucumber salad was alright. For the price listed on the menu, it was quite a disappointment. The tiramisu dessert was delicious.

We've been to Daniel's several times and were very satisfied again. The current seasonal menu offers a good, varied selection. There were vegetarian, meat, and fish dishes to choose from. As a starter, we had bread with three dips, which was unfortunately a bit dry and there wasn't enough of it. I couldn't tell if it was homemade. The dips themselves were good. The main course was very tasty and a good portion size. There was a wide selection of drinks, including some not-so-standard options. I highly recommend the Melon Lady, both with and without alcohol. The service was very attentive and friendly. A plus for smokers: there's an indoor smoking lounge. Very pleasant in cold weather. It didn't smell of cigarette smoke, probably because there weren't many people smoking there that evening.

The food was very good, the service quick, friendly and attentive. A bit too open for my taste, but that's always subjective, of course.

We had liver with mashed potatoes. It was alright. The menu was concise. The owners try to keep the menu a bit upscale. If that's your thing, it's fine. I would think twice about visiting the restaurant again. The prices aren't for those on a tight budget.

There were four of us for dinner. The restaurant is very cozy, and the service was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, and it took less than 20 minutes from ordering to being served. Everyone received their food at the same time. We found the atmosphere very pleasant and would definitely come back.

Hello, we celebrated our birthday there and were thrilled. Everything was perfect, fantastic.👍

I ordered pasta alla puttanesca, which was labeled vegan. Three of us received pasta with anchovies. Some of us didn't notice this until the end of the meal. The server seemed rather indifferent when it was pointed out to him. Edit to this review: After the owner's spiteful response, I added a screenshot of the menu to prove that only vegan pasta alla puttanesca was offered, so the error was on the restaurant's part. The owner also tried to have my review removed by Google, but I was able to stop this process by providing evidence. We are appalled by the owner's unprofessional and rude behavior. An apology in response would have shed a much better light on him.

Unfortunately our visit was not entirely satisfactory. We had originally ordered a starter, but were served a main course with the same content - which we only noticed when we got the bill. The waitress's query wasn't formulated clearly for us as guests, so we assumed it was a starter. In addition, we were served the wine in 0.2l without us being asked about 0.1L OR 0.2l. The waitress was very attentive, but seemed quite distant - she didn't smile and generally gave the impression that she was just doing her job. Despite there being numerous free tables, we were assigned a seat, which seemed a bit inflexible. The food itself was excellent – ​​freshly prepared and tasted of a high standard. For me personally, the calamari was a bit too salty. Overall, we would have liked clearer communication and a little more personal warmth in the service. Unfortunately, we didn't receive an invoice in the end, even though this is normal and contributes to transparency. The restaurant is located right next to the Elbe and is easy to reach by bike and car. There are enough parking spaces available.

Due to its location directly on the Elbe River, we made a quick stop. It was worth it. The food was served in a very pleasant atmosphere. We received excellent service and prompt service. The food arrived quickly and beautifully presented. It was excellent! Great restaurant – great location, very good service, delicious food, parking in front of the door. Highly recommended.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner on a Saturday evening with four adults and four children – everything was totally relaxed and unhurried. The food was delicious (even for the kids) and the service was charming.

A well-chosen spot for an outdoor meal. The restaurant is also very cozy; if a restaurateur cares about ensuring that even the restroom is stylish, the rest can only be good. No frills, but generous portions, deliciously served, and no one-size-fits-all crockery and cutlery. You can always return here, as long as you don't drop the standard or even raise it. The prices are reasonable. The only drawback, which isn't the operators' responsibility, is the intersecting bike path and the sometimes reckless riding. It's not surprising that the cyclists are often more mature. The view of the Elbe river is free for the observer, and once the surrounding area becomes more attractive, whether through further settlements or the development of the nearby warehouses into loft apartments for the rich, but not necessarily beautiful, one might become envious. We will definitely be back from Lower Saxony, as Lower Saxony-Anhalt residents.

The food was good. The dining culture could be improved. Dried-out pots have no place on the table, especially not on a pre-booked birthday table.

Great food and the ambiance was definitely fantastic! However, the service left a lot to be desired. Apparently, women aren't taken seriously, and if you point out that an order had been placed but hadn't arrived, it was immediately considered the guest's fault. Likewise, women apparently shouldn't be trusted when they request their bill with their preferred payment method. We had to double-check with the male staff. So, it seems women aren't allowed to have their own opinions there.

Children's meals are significantly smaller than you'd expect from the description...

Beautiful terrace with a view of the Elbe River. We weren't particularly impressed with the service and food. The lunch special wasn't served, so we chose from the standard menu. The saltimbocca was too thick and chewy, the sauce was very intensely seasoned, the grilled vegetables were good and had a bit of a bite. The Wiener schnitzel was very salty, and the fries were delicious. Our third meal was missing something. The plates were attractively presented.

Am 14.3.25 einer Reservierung für den 27.5.25 gemacht und bestätigt bekommen. Am 22.5.25 mittags, also drei Werktage vor dem Termin, Anruf bekommen, man hätte die Reservierung übersehen und wegen einer Großveranstaltung leider keinen Platz. Keine Lösung angeboten und einfach den Termin storniert.

We spent the weekend at Daniels Elbwerk with about 160 people. The service was truly fantastic! The team was very helpful and friendly. We all felt very comfortable.

Leider sehr schlechter Service, überhebliches Personal. Das Essen war geschmacklich nicht so berauschend. Unser Fazit, wir würden dieses Lokal nicht weiterempfehlen und uns sieht dort auch niemand mehr. Schade eigentlich, da der Standort super ist.

Also sowas schlechtes habe ich mit meiner Mutti noch nie gegessen, Schweinemedaillons sowas von trocken, keine Soße dazu die Ofenkartoffel ohne Worte echt nie wieder. Service kann ich auch nicht mit freundlich beurteilen.

Beautiful gastronomy with a great ambience. This restaurant is beautifully situated in nature in Magdeburg, on the beautiful banks of the Elbe. We had reserved and sat on the terrace with a view of the Elbe. The restaurant has a special charm. It is clean and well maintained. The service was friendly. The menu had great dishes to choose from. Kudos to the chef 👍. We enjoyed it very much. I would be happy to come back and enjoy my time.

The atmosphere is actually quite nice, except for the constant interruption of cyclists and joggers. The waitresses seem more concerned with their own company than with their actual job. The food looked great and tasted okay.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the Elbe. The decor and ambience are very nice. The staff is very friendly and attentive. During our visit last Sunday we ate very well and plentifully. The prices are high but reasonable.

Great place! We had asparagus and the “Burgermeister”. The food tasted wonderful. The burger could have used a little more sauce and the asparagus could have used a little more cooking time. But these are all matters of taste. The restaurant was full but we got our drinks quickly and our food a short time later. The food was definitely not kept warm but freshly prepared. We were very satisfied and would come again.

Probably overwhelmed with Easter... Apr 2025 • Friends The location is in a great location, directly on the Elbe. However, when there is a rush like Easter, the staff is probably overwhelmed. Even when making the reservation it was confusing (different times were communicated). Different prices were communicated over the phone for an appetizer platter offered, which then cost 74.50 for 5 people - good in taste, but clearly not enough for 5 people. The asparagus offered was still raw when served, and according to the waitress it was “aldene to the bite”. These were then returned and were still hard the second time they were served (by now the brown butter was also cold). There was no drinks menu, a glass of wine, which was the only one recommended, cost 10.90 euros. So in my opinion the price, performance and service don't fit here!

Die Lokation ist toll gelegen, direkt an der Elbe. Allerdings ist wohl bei einem Andrang wie z.B. Ostern das Personal überfordert. Schon bei der Reservierung war es verwirrend (unterschiedliche Zeiten wurden kommuniziert). Telefonisch wurden andere Preise für eine angebotene Vorspeisenplatte kommuniziert, diese kostete dann 74,50 für 5 Personen - geschmacklich gut, aber deutlich zu wenig für 5 Personen. Der angebotene Spargel war beim servieren noch roh, laut der Kellnerin „bissfest“. Dieser wurden dann zurückgegeben und auch beim zweiten Servieren noch hart ( inzwischen war auch die braune Butter kalt). Eine Getränkekarte gab es nicht, ein Glas Wein, der als einziger empfohlen wurde kostete 10,90 Euro. Also Preis, Leistung und Service passen meiner Meinung hier nicht!

Tasty but very inflexible! Wanted tiramisu for dessert today. The statement was only available for the Easter menu! What I can't understand. Because firstly, who orders a menu anyway and secondly, I would have paid in full for it. So tiramisu is probably thrown away rather than sold. Makes zero sense. This point makes it very difficult to evaluate it meaningfully. Because how can you think like that!?

Very nicely located, on the Elbe. The view from the terrace is wonderful. We sat inside and found the decor very nice too. Gladly again :-)

Daniels is always a nice place to go for high quality food. And if you make a recommendation about the food, it is very well received because they always want to improve and meet the customers' wishes. Thanks to the children's room, you can also eat there with children. The atmosphere there is very high quality and cozy. Price-performance fits. Always happy to come back.

The food was delicious overall, but one burger wasn't cooked to the desired degree. The menu didn't mention that the meat was a mix, not just beef. The service was excellent.

Wir waren mit Freunden hier essen, jeder nach seinem Geschmack. Was fast allen Gerichten eigen war, waren die Kartoffelbeilagen. Die waren bei allen schon mal optisch eine Katastrophe. Bratkartoffeln, die nicht frisch gemacht waren, teils verbrannt. Drillinge, die auch nicht appetitlich aussahen. Die Krönung hatte ich erwischt. Ich muss allerdings zugestehen, dass ich die Karte nicht bis zum Ende gelesen hatte. Dort bot man zum Kalbsschnitzel einen : jetzt kommt es: Bratkartoffelsalat an. So etwas hat die Welt noch nicht gesehen. Alte kalte Bratkartoffeln, teils verbrannt mit einer undefinierbaren dickeren cremigen Flüssigkeit. Es war furchtbar. Ich jedenfalls konnte es nicht essen. Der Ehrenrettung halber, das Schnitzel war okay.

We went to the Elbwerk for a crime dinner. Great show and the food was great. Three courses with something for everyone. These were built into the program. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne. An all-round pleasant evening. Service was attentive and friendly at all times.

Enjoy the lunch menu here often. The rating fluctuates between 3 and 4 stars. For 8-14 euros it's ok. Recently I had to shell out €11 for a normal glass of white wine. Almost as much as for food. I would have liked to have found a clue beforehand, especially since you don't look at the map for every little thing. The service is also the weak point, at best it's just ok, she often seems to be in a bad mood, presumably because she's paid too poorly. I go here in the evenings in the summer. The terrace is very nice, located directly on the Elbe. Then there's a chance for a rating upgrade.

Wir hatten bereits im Oktober einen Tisch für Silvester Abend reserviert – zwei Familien mit insgesamt drei Kindern, die im Spielzimmer beschäftigt sein sollten. Als wir gestern pünktlich um 17:45 Uhr im Restaurant ankamen, wurden wir äußerst unfreundlich abgewiesen. Der Grund: Spontan war eine Musik-Band engagiert worden, und Kinder waren plötzlich für den Abend nicht mehr erlaubt. Unsere Reservierung wurde einfach ignoriert, und wir wurden trotz vorheriger Planung vor die Tür gesetzt – an einem Silvesterabend wohlgemerkt! Eine solche respektlose Behandlung gegenüber Gästen ist absolut inakzeptabel. Wenn Änderungen im Programm stattfinden, erwarte ich, rechtzeitig darüber informiert zu werden, nicht vor Ort vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt zu werden. So ein Umgang mit Kunden ist enttäuschend und unprofessionell. Hierher kommen wir definitiv nicht wieder.

We went to Daniel's a few weeks ago and were disappointed. The food itself was good, but unfortunately the rest wasn't. The starters were forgotten and they came after the main course. After we had eaten all the courses, the waiter was very pushy. The atmosphere wasn't very comfortable, but quite loud.

We had a very good meal there as a family. High quality ingredients, excellently cooked. Great colors, consistencies, taste. The service was charming and kind. Great location right on the Elbe. Prices are a little higher, but it was worth it. Allergy sufferers are also taken into account, gluten-free was possible after consultation and worked well. Thank you!

The food was excellent. Unfortunately it was very loud in the restaurant due to its size. Therefore a star deduction for the ambience. We only ordered one dessert and got two. The employee responsible for us was also rarely seen. Therefore two stars deducted for the service.

You can do it. Service very friendly. Ambience is nice, well-equipped guest room and well located for a walk after dinner. There are enough parking spaces available. The taste is still ok, but the craftsmanship of the hospitality industry is rather mediocre. The dishes are really beautifully presented, but are literally handed over. Burger meat was completely cooked through without prior request. That's fine for many, I like it a little juicier. Bruschetta originale with grated cheese?. Overall, I am of the opinion that the restaurant's high price demands could be accompanied by a touch more professional customer orientation.

My review has been deleted. The food is expensive, the portions are small and not particularly tasty. We waited almost two hours for our food. The chicken breast looked like it had been cooked in water, and was completely unseasoned and tough. Although the atmosphere is very elaborate, the waiter wasn't particularly friendly. Nobody at our table was fed.

Disastrous service, take their customers out. they gave us a menu with a different price than what they ended up charging us for both the drinks and the food. The waiter at the checkout acted clueless, as he generally seemed completely clueless: We waited forever for the opportunity to order, then I got a burger for €18.90 that was missing the pattie. When I got a new burger, it wasn't a Jack Fruitburger that I ordered according to the menu. The other colleague told me that due to cost reasons blah blah blah they are currently no longer offering a Jack Fruitburger (it is still on the menu) and that the patty is a different vegetarian one. I had to wait another 15 minutes until they brought the rescuer on the third attempt. In both cases I was not given cutlery. The waiters were hopelessly overwhelmed and in a restaurant that was unparalleled in terms of price, they constantly demanded that the guests pass plates across the table and reached over the eating guests and asked the guests to help with the service. It's an absolute disgrace to charge such prices for such an underground service.

The food was great, the waitress was hectic and curt even though the shop was not very busy, the lunch menu items were only put on the table when asked, the question "what would you like to drink" was asked before you took off your jacket and sat down, then the hammer was at the counter : due to incorrectly set CO² pressure, the draft beer only produced foam, the draft beer was poured back and forth into several glasses for about 10 minutes, 1/2 glass was put in the fridge as a reserve for later refilling!!!, the beer I served was then stale for €5.50, who is actually supposed to drink this mess? We planned a party there and went there as a test 🤔🥺
