Very nicely located, on the Elbe. The view from the terrace is wonderful. We sat inside and found the decor very nice too. Gladly again :-)

The veal risotto was amazing. Great service, fair prices, and nice location. I imagine the patio is nice in the summer.

Daniels is always a nice place to go for high quality food. And if you make a recommendation about the food, it is very well received because they always want to improve and meet the customers' wishes. Thanks to the children's room, you can also eat there with children. The atmosphere there is very high quality and cozy. Price-performance fits. Always happy to come back.

The food was delicious overall, but one burger wasn't cooked to the desired degree. The menu didn't mention that the meat was a mix, not just beef. The service was excellent.

Wir waren mit Freunden hier essen, jeder nach seinem Geschmack. Was fast allen Gerichten eigen war, waren die Kartoffelbeilagen. Die waren bei allen schon mal optisch eine Katastrophe. Bratkartoffeln, die nicht frisch gemacht waren, teils verbrannt. Drillinge, die auch nicht appetitlich aussahen. Die Krönung hatte ich erwischt. Ich muss allerdings zugestehen, dass ich die Karte nicht bis zum Ende gelesen hatte. Dort bot man zum Kalbsschnitzel einen : jetzt kommt es: Bratkartoffelsalat an. So etwas hat die Welt noch nicht gesehen. Alte kalte Bratkartoffeln, teils verbrannt mit einer undefinierbaren dickeren cremigen Flüssigkeit. Es war furchtbar. Ich jedenfalls konnte es nicht essen. Der Ehrenrettung halber, das Schnitzel war okay.

We went to the Elbwerk for a crime dinner. Great show and the food was great. Three courses with something for everyone. These were built into the program. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne. An all-round pleasant evening. Service was attentive and friendly at all times.

Enjoy the lunch menu here often. The rating fluctuates between 3 and 4 stars. For 8-14 euros it's ok. Recently I had to shell out €11 for a normal glass of white wine. Almost as much as for food. I would have liked to have found a clue beforehand, especially since you don't look at the map for every little thing. The service is also the weak point, at best it's just ok, she often seems to be in a bad mood, presumably because she's paid too poorly. I go here in the evenings in the summer. The terrace is very nice, located directly on the Elbe. Then there's a chance for a rating upgrade.

Wir hatten bereits im Oktober einen Tisch für Silvester Abend reserviert – zwei Familien mit insgesamt drei Kindern, die im Spielzimmer beschäftigt sein sollten. Als wir gestern pünktlich um 17:45 Uhr im Restaurant ankamen, wurden wir äußerst unfreundlich abgewiesen. Der Grund: Spontan war eine Musik-Band engagiert worden, und Kinder waren plötzlich für den Abend nicht mehr erlaubt. Unsere Reservierung wurde einfach ignoriert, und wir wurden trotz vorheriger Planung vor die Tür gesetzt – an einem Silvesterabend wohlgemerkt! Eine solche respektlose Behandlung gegenüber Gästen ist absolut inakzeptabel. Wenn Änderungen im Programm stattfinden, erwarte ich, rechtzeitig darüber informiert zu werden, nicht vor Ort vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt zu werden. So ein Umgang mit Kunden ist enttäuschend und unprofessionell. Hierher kommen wir definitiv nicht wieder.

We went to Daniel's a few weeks ago and were disappointed. The food itself was good, but unfortunately the rest wasn't. The starters were forgotten and they came after the main course. After we had eaten all the courses, the waiter was very pushy. The atmosphere wasn't very comfortable, but quite loud.

We had a very good meal there as a family. High quality ingredients, excellently cooked. Great colors, consistencies, taste. The service was charming and kind. Great location right on the Elbe. Prices are a little higher, but it was worth it. Allergy sufferers are also taken into account, gluten-free was possible after consultation and worked well. Thank you!

The food was excellent. Unfortunately it was very loud in the restaurant due to its size. Therefore a star deduction for the ambience. We only ordered one dessert and got two. The employee responsible for us was also rarely seen. Therefore two stars deducted for the service.

You can do it. Service very friendly. Ambience is nice, well-equipped guest room and well located for a walk after dinner. There are enough parking spaces available. The taste is still ok, but the craftsmanship of the hospitality industry is rather mediocre. The dishes are really beautifully presented, but are literally handed over. Burger meat was completely cooked through without prior request. That's fine for many, I like it a little juicier. Bruschetta originale with grated cheese?. Overall, I am of the opinion that the restaurant's high price demands could be accompanied by a touch more professional customer orientation.

My review has been deleted. The food is expensive, the portions are small and not particularly tasty. We waited almost two hours for our food. The chicken breast looked like it had been cooked in water, and was completely unseasoned and tough. Although the atmosphere is very elaborate, the waiter wasn't particularly friendly. Nobody at our table was fed.

Disastrous service, take their customers out. they gave us a menu with a different price than what they ended up charging us for both the drinks and the food. The waiter at the checkout acted clueless, as he generally seemed completely clueless: We waited forever for the opportunity to order, then I got a burger for €18.90 that was missing the pattie. When I got a new burger, it wasn't a Jack Fruitburger that I ordered according to the menu. The other colleague told me that due to cost reasons blah blah blah they are currently no longer offering a Jack Fruitburger (it is still on the menu) and that the patty is a different vegetarian one. I had to wait another 15 minutes until they brought the rescuer on the third attempt. In both cases I was not given cutlery. The waiters were hopelessly overwhelmed and in a restaurant that was unparalleled in terms of price, they constantly demanded that the guests pass plates across the table and reached over the eating guests and asked the guests to help with the service. It's an absolute disgrace to charge such prices for such an underground service.

The food was great, the waitress was hectic and curt even though the shop was not very busy, the lunch menu items were only put on the table when asked, the question "what would you like to drink" was asked before you took off your jacket and sat down, then the hammer was at the counter : due to incorrectly set CO² pressure, the draft beer only produced foam, the draft beer was poured back and forth into several glasses for about 10 minutes, 1/2 glass was put in the fridge as a reserve for later refilling!!!, the beer I served was then stale for €5.50, who is actually supposed to drink this mess? We planned a party there and went there as a test 🤔🥺

Despite not making a reservation, we got a spot right on the Elbe. We were warmly welcomed and guided through the evening with delicious culinary delights. You felt very comfortable.

Apparently you're not welcome at Daniel's if you "just" order ice cream and drinks. Our waitress reacted with an unpleasantly surprised look that we only ordered from the ice cream and drinks menu and didn't need the menu. The game then continued throughout our entire visit. Unpleasant looks almost every time we pass our table. The ice cream and drinks were only served after almost 30 minutes. We were only able to pay after asking twice, and the second time I asked, I had to go inside and point out that it had been 20 minutes since the first request to pay. The payment itself then involved adding up the entire orders (four people), without asking whether separate payment was desired. Yes, we wanted to pay separately, but we didn't insist on doing so because the service staff was so dismissive during the payment process that we just wanted to leave. A truly unpleasant gastronomic experience.

Were at Daniels for the first time and would definitely go again. The ambience outside is harmonious and the location directly on the Elbe is fantastic. The food was good overall, although the portion size could have been a little larger. It tasted good and was nicely presented on the plates. Unfortunately, the service was very chaotic and therefore a bit messy. This meant that cutlery was missing from the table and a portion was incorrectly brought with tomatoes, which had previously been canceled due to an intolerance. We assume it was so chaotic because of the wedding in the main hall and hope things go better on our next visit. Apart from the little chaos, happy again.

Service aufmerksam und freundlich - dass aber ein benutzter Aschenbecher beim Servieren des Essens auf dem Tisch stehen bleibt … nunja, kann passieren bei „Fachkräften“ Küche: Risotto scheinbar mit Maggi gewürzt, Reis nicht komplett weich gekocht! Hausgebackenes Brot? In welchem Haus gebacken? Man könnte es auch als in Scheiben geschnittenes Körnerbrötchen beschreiben.

Spent a nice dinner with friends

Food was too salty. Schnitzel with chanterelles and spaetzle. Glass was dirty. Table wasn't wiped, stuck. Waiter always squeezed through our table to get to other tables instead of going around the outside, which was very annoying. Since it was very loud and my child wanted to leave, I went out beforehand and couldn't say that I didn't like the food. Service was ok. Prices are overpriced and no one will see me there anymore

More appearance than reality... We went to dinner at Daniels on a very beautiful sunny day, we didn't have a reservation, it was during the week. We were welcomed with the words: “Have you made a reservation, my beautiful one?” I found it quite worrying. The terrace on the side of the Elbe was not even 50% occupied, but we still got a place in the blazing sun, not under an umbrella, everything was probably reserved. Food came relatively quickly, my burger was very good, but my wife's brisket was a disaster, more fat than meat. The waiter responded to my wife's objection with the flippant statement, "Have you ever eaten brisket?" Probably more times than he's served it. Unfortunately, what was served here was a soft-boiled beef brisket and not the part of the brisket that is used for brisket. When we finally left after eating and of course paying, the terrace was still only 50% occupied, that's not how you treat customers. Well, we won't be coming back anyway...

Today we were with you spontaneously and for the first time. We were greeted and served very friendly by Max. A huge compliment also goes to the kitchen Andrea (she made my antipasti delicious), Daniel and Luka). We will definitely be back and are looking forward to the other dishes.

Beautiful gastronomy with a great ambience. This restaurant is beautifully situated in nature in Magdeburg, on the beautiful banks of the Elbe. We had reserved and sat on the terrace with a view of the Elbe. The restaurant has a special charm. It is clean and well maintained. The service was friendly. The menu had great dishes to choose from. Kudos to the chef 👍. We enjoyed it very much. I would be happy to come back and enjoy my time.

5 course Valentine’s Day menu with live music… We were specifically asked to be there at 6:00 p.m. When we finally received our first drink at 6:45 p.m. we already suspected something bad. It was getting later, people were already looking at each other, where is the food? At around 7:45 p.m. I asked the visibly overwhelmed waiter what the schedule was for the evening, we can't sit here until midnight, so he should please bring the boss. This was immediately ignored. When the first course actually arrived at around 8:00 p.m. and was cleared away at 8:30 p.m., we calculated how long this would probably take and stopped and let the bill come. In spite of us, they charged us 18€ per person. Charged for bruschetta and two scallops. Gifted... The saddest thing, even then, the boss didn't even bother to talk to us... hey, I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you... on the contrary, while he was sitting at his table, he looked after us angrily and took our reservation at Open Table marked not started. So you can also be offended if you don't accept it, the first one after a good two hours! To have been served in the course. Once again someone who didn't understand GASTronomy. It's not just about potentially good food. Update... and it gets even better... now I'm also being sued by his lawyer to have the Google review deleted. He just didn't understand... What a shame

Thinking it might be full, I called and asked for a reservation. Luckily I was confirmed that there would still be a table for 3 people. The time and name appear to have been noted. When I arrived at the agreed time after about 45 minutes, they were completely surprised. The service staff couldn't find my reservation and doubted whether it ever existed. After loud requests from the staff, none of the colleagues wanted to come out about having accepted this reservation. To establish my credibility, I showed the call history in my phone, which proved that I had called at the stated time. It was then doubted that the phone call had ever taken place. Everyone can evaluate for themselves how they feel. Ultimately, I was sent out of court as a potential liar, of course without being offered an alternative. Fortunately, there are enough alternatives in Magdeburg with a similar price-performance ratio where I don't have to be defamed and I spontaneously got a place. The feeling remains that there may be internal problems with the service staff, which are at the expense of potential customers. A pity. 2 stars because I would have liked to eat here. You'll never see me again. I will also warn that there doesn't seem to be any value in making a reservation here. Answer to the answer: It's a shame you didn't take the time to respond to the issue professionally. Regarding 1: Since it was a telephone call, I obviously couldn't see how the supposed reservation was recorded. I hadn't received a text message. This wasn't mentioned either. I just relied on the employee's promise. Regarding 2: That is simply wrong. The statement was essentially: “There’s no way that’s going to happen today.” Regarding 3: The name of the person who answered the call is unknown. As already explained on site, the employee only contacted you with the name of your restaurant. Since all of your points are inaccurate and illogical, I am assuming that you have responded to a matter that you are not familiar with.

We sat outside. There you sit directly on the Elbe and have a beautiful view of the water. We wanted to order the ice cream sundaes with fresh strawberries. Unfortunately we had already run out of fruit, so we could only order ice cream with cream. The milk coffee was nothing special but ok.

A lovely evening for two: we chose Daniel's. We made reservations in advance and sat directly on the banks of the Elbe. The waiter at our table (Max) did a very good job and really made us want to come back. We were given excellent advice on our selection and the waiter made sure that we were able to enjoy our dessert with great satisfaction. He was also personable and authentic, very pleasant. We will be back!

We have never been disappointed with the food

There were 8 of us in the restaurant and we sat outside, having made a reservation in advance. The food was very tasty, especially the truffled pasta. The other dishes that were ordered also received positive feedback. There was only one thing: the chicken breast wasn't completely cooked through, but of course we got a new one straight away. We were even given blankets to combat the wind and the increasingly cold evening air. And whoever hired Max as a waitress did a very good job! Great guy and super nice to us. We'd love to come back again.

Wir waren im Juni als Hochzeitsgesellschaft im Daniels. Wir hatten lange im Voraus Tische neben dem Spielzimmer reserviert. Eine Woche vor dem Termin waren wir noch einmal dort, um uns sagen zu lassen, dass wir den Tisch an dieser Stelle nicht bekommen, wenn ein Bus Touristen kommt. Wir haben uns in dem Moment wie Kunden dritter Klasse gefühlt. Zur letzten Absprache waren wir am Vortag noch einmal dort. Die Chefin hat uns ignoriert und ist in den Feierabend gegangen. Der Kellner wusste überhaupt nicht Bescheid und wir mussten alles noch einmal erklären. Trotzdem war die mitgebrachte Deko nicht wie besprochen hingelegt. Der Service an dem Tag war so lala. Ich habe auf meinen Wein als Braut 20 Minuten gewartet. Meine Gäste hätten mehr getrunken, wenn die Bedienung aufmerksamer gewesen wäre. Das Küchenpersonal verdient 5 Sterne. Das Essen hat uns allen super geschmeckt.

Went to the musical dinner last night. A successful evening. Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly service, good entertainment. Unfortunately, it was not known beforehand that the event would take place outdoors. A hint would have been great, then we would have preferred different clothing. It was pretty fresh. But there were blankets ready for that. Well thought out. So we were completely satisfied. Gladly again.

The two of us were there on Wednesday afternoon - very nice welcome. The location is fantastic on the Elbe, you can sit on a huge terrace and enjoy the peace and quiet. Were there in June last year and loved it. We had mixed starters and dips with homemade bread - everything was very tasty. For the main course, liver and beef, both extremely tasty! The young man (Maxe) who served as host did a really good job, fit perfectly with the nice atmosphere of the restaurant and the delicious food - in really generous portions. If the restaurant would put up two more signs, it would also be easier for tourists to find. Maximum points from us - thank you very much and keep it up...

Ein super Restaurant, in einem tollen Ambiente, direkt an der Elbe. Wir waren am 1. Juni 2024, zum Abendessen,dort. Das Essen und der Service waren top. Das Servicepersonal ( der Max), war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, so dass wir uns von der ersten Minute an, sehr wohl gefühlt habe....jeder Zeit wieder....

Arrived shortly before the end, but were warmly welcomed and served. Very nice shop with a wonderful atmosphere. Unfortunately it was very empty - Thursday evening. The delicate coffee aroma that comes from the beer garden is unique and wonderful. Roastery dances around your nose.

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed today. My children invited me to dinner today for Mother's Day. The waitress, although quite nice, was confused. After asking several times, the children received the juices they ordered after 45 minutes, and it also took 45 minutes for 3 glasses of wine at these prices. After more than an hour the food came. When it comes to fresh preparation, I almost understand this. I had better memories of your restaurant. A pity.

After 1.5 hours we were told we were now putting pressure on the kitchen, food would arrive in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, we misplaced your order. Underground service. And the restaurant wasn't really full now.

Beautifully located restaurant on the Elbe with a great menu and reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and you don't have to wait long to order. The food and drinks came quite quickly. From the restaurant you have a direct view over the Elbe to the Millennium Tower. But you can also take a wonderful walk and look at, for example, the chain steamer or old locomotives and wagons. Everything is recommended.

It's a shame that the service was so poor😏 we've never waited so long for drinks or food! No, it wasn't pointed out!!!!
