Damaskino Restaurant in Dortmund

If there were a rating lower than one star, I'd give it. Unfortunately, today I traveled two and a half hours and ordered a broasted chicken meal. It was dripping with oil and the chicken was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. I also ordered a shawarma sandwich (araya) that smelled like chicken, and I was eating bread instead. I had also ordered shawarma for my family, and I took it home. We were eating bread instead of shawarma. When I was at the restaurant, I told the cashier about the broasted chicken and the shawarma sandwich, and he said he'd talk to the waiter and fix my takeaway sandwich, but he didn't, and the waiter didn't fix it. Besides that, the service was terrible. I got up and took a fork, knife, and cola from the fridge. There was no one to bring you your order, and everything was overpriced—drinks, shawarma, and meals—all costing one or two euros. And the food was barely edible. A terrible experience. I won't repeat it.

We ordered a whole fried chicken, and it was very oily and still raw inside. The side dishes were also insufficient, and the service was poor. The waitress took the raw chicken and didn't bring us a replacement, nor did she offer any apology whatsoever. It's absolutely not recommended and far too expensive. I would have preferred to give it zero stars.

The best restaurant in all of Dortmund

Today I chose everything usual in this restaurant and the same favorite meal, which is broasted chicken. Unfortunately, it was half cooked and the chicken blood inside was disgusting. I hope the management understands this matter.

A good and inexpensive snack bar serving Syrian-Arabic specialties. It's usually quite busy, and you often can't find a seat, but after a short wait, you usually get something quickly. The food is hearty, tasty, and reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. I especially recommend the crispy chicken and the mandi chicken (grilled on gas, not charcoal).

You are all tasteful and proud, and the food is amazing.

May God bless them, they've become our first choice in North Rhine-Westphalia, even though it's an hour away by car, but the food is worth it. Their broasted chicken is number one, unrivaled in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. The shawarma is the same. The mandi and charcoal chicken are some of the best I've tasted. May God bless them and enable them to open a bigger restaurant. There's a veiled girl who works there, and she's so sweet, lovable, and quick to catch up with everyone.

Fries were soft and not hot. We waited about 25 minutes. The coleslow came with corn, and the salad didn't taste very good. Prices have gone up.

I don't recommend anyone to go there for food. Okay, but the treatment of the elderly veiled lady was very bad and disrespectful. Disgraceful experience! We didn't even notice our food as if the staff were ordering, asking, and going to go! At Ernst, that was the height of disrespect. We didn't expect you to leave. I can't wait to go. This is the right thing, but it's hard to eat and drink.

The food is delicious. However, the staff prioritizes other people's orders every time they visit. Furthermore, the atmosphere is so chaotic that you honestly wouldn't even want to sit there. Hence the 3 stars.

Super delicious, good prices! I got one more kebab than the menu listed, a huge portion with delicious and colorful rice. It came with flatbread and a phenomenal garlic sauce. It tastes amazing and is still delicious the next day, with enough garlic for everyone. A treat for the mind and palate!

The food is very nice and clean, but unfortunately the service was bad. We came on Sunday evening at dinner time and ordered, but the guy with long hair was not cooperative at all and said that there was only shawarma because of pressure, but after a while his friend brought an order for people who came after us and he brought various types, so we adjusted the order through him. I hope the restaurant owner deals with the worker with long hair and is more cooperative with the customers. The food is good, but we will not return.

The food is truly exceptionally good. The fried chicken is exceptionally crispy and very juicy. They also have the best shawarma I've tried in all of Germany. I would recommend Damaskino to ANYONE, especially if you like Arabic dishes.

I apologize for the negative comment, but the last time I had broasted chicken, the machine was broken. They gave me a meal fried in oil, not in the broasted chicken machine. But the Mandi meal was good.

The food was very good 9.8 out of 10. He has soft drinks and ayran. The service wasn't the best because not the entire order was reserved and some things were forgotten. However, the rest of the order was subsequently reserved and the staff apologized. At this point I would like to thank the owner of the restaurant because he took care of our order. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. You should expect to wait between 20 and 30 minutes, but it's definitely worth it. 8.9 out of 10. The prices were fair. The ambience was standard and clean. I rate my experience an 8.8. I can recommend the restaurant to you.

We went to this restaurant on Good Friday and even though it was incredibly busy and we had to wait a while for a free table, it was totally worth the wait! Despite the large crowds, the service was great, the staff was super friendly, attentive and professional. The food was a real treat, fresh and the taste was simply perfect.
