My favorite restaurant! The food is incredibly delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is simply cozy and pleasant. Whether it's lunch or dinner – everything is just perfect. The welcoming, family-like atmosphere makes every visit special; you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend it if you're looking for good food and relaxed service!

We are regular customers in Dalmatia and have always been satisfied. But this time I was speechless. We were greeted warmly by a young waiter (whom I didn't know), ordered drinks, everything seemed fine. There were four of us, and two of us ordered soup. It arrived quite quickly, and the first food arrived less than two minutes later. No one had cutlery. When our food still hadn't arrived, I asked if it could be kept warm, as we hadn't eaten yet and it was really annoying without cutlery. The young waiter came up to me rather arrogantly and asked, "First time here?" I honestly thought I'd misheard! Sorry, but when you go out to eat with four people, you expect to eat at the same time and, please, with cutlery. My food was inedible; everyone at the table tried it and completely agreed. Yes, they apologized, but not the young waiter. We'll think twice about coming back now. It's a shame for the owner and the regular staff, who were, as always, wonderful.

Friendly staff, yes – but that alone unfortunately doesn't save a visit to Dalmatien in Bonn. Drinks were only slightly chilled (a beer has to be cold!), and the food was far below expectations. The "Pljeskavica" tasted of mutton instead of beef (and it was listed as beef on the menu) and was practically inedible. The "Räuberteller" (robber's plate) consisted of inferior cuts of meat and seemed carelessly, albeit generously, assembled. Even the supposedly top-notch dish arrived dry and unappealing. At least the fries, rice, and salad bar were okay. Conclusion: Friendly service, but the food and quality – abysmal. I wouldn't recommend it. A shame.

We recently ate there again after a long time, despite some of the negative reviews we'd read here, and decided to give it a chance because we didn't believe the quality had declined so much. Unfortunately, we were proven wrong, and the food (especially the meat) was borderline in taste, almost inedible, either almost raw or completely dry. The best thing on the plate was the rice, which was really delicious. Contrary to previous reviews, we can't complain about the service; it was very friendly and apologetic. We also expressed our criticism to the restaurant and hope that things will improve in the long run; perhaps the chef was just having a bad day.

We had a super great experience!!! The restaurant owner, Alan, provided something they did not have in stock. He just went out to get it. Where do you see this guest attitude today. Apparently only on Restaurant Dalmatien. I can only suggest you to go there…

Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing; based on the good reviews, I expected more. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lamb was okay, and the turkey skewer was dry. The fries were completely unseasoned, but the flavor spread across the entire plate. The rice was the best seasoned. Personally, I expected a bit more. The salad bar offered a wide selection; perhaps they could have just pointed this out earlier, rather than waiting until the order was brought. Unfortunately, the evening wasn't convincing.

The food was nothing special. It was poorly presented. I also ordered ajvar, and they charged me €3.90 for it. I thought that was pretty steep.

Unfriendly waiter. When we ordered the food, he didn't tell us that the salad bar was in the basement. When we got our food, he told us that. We went to the basement to get the salads and unfortunately found that the containers were almost empty and when we got back to the table our food was cold. We basically paid for food without salads even though they were included in the price.8⁸

Horrible food. I had cevapcici that were never homemade. Probably from Aldi or Lidl. Completely oversalted. You return almost the entire plate, and the waiter then asks in all seriousness: "Did you enjoy it?" I was glad I could leave the place quickly.

I'm rarely enthusiastic about food. But when we do go out to eat, we go to Bonn. Great value for money, great food, super friendly service. However, nothing is wheelchair accessible.

We were a large group, which meant the waiter was overwhelmed with the ordering process. The food was very tasty for most of us. Except for the cevapcici, which was very dry and lacking in seasoning. The restaurant is very cozy, and everyone was very friendly.

Incredibly delicious food and a cozy atmosphere! The service was also very good, but could have been a bit more attentive (e.g., asking if everything was okay with the food, if I'd like anything else, etc.). ☺️ I would definitely go again!

The dying pigeon in the broken net above the restaurant is strictly ignored by the staff, so despite our best efforts we were unable to free it. “Another hole should not be cut into the already broken net,” which is why the animal is left to its fate. It's very sad to see when animals have to suffer because of humanity's lack of orderliness.

Traditional German Balkan Grill restaurant. Food and drink is good value for money, portions are large etc. Decor is traditional and the clientele is older than average. But a reliable place to get a decent meal.

Inconspicuous from the outside but surprisingly large and cozy inside. The service was good and so was the food. The portions were large and the price was very tasty. I'm positively surprised. Cevapcici with fries and Djuvec rice plus salad from the salad buffet for around €15 is almost unbeatable these days.

The restaurant is really nice, but that's about it. The food didn't taste good at all, the cevapcici tasted and smelled really strange, the rest didn't taste good either, even the tomatoes were bad/bitter. City got banana juice, orange juice, paid €80 for nothing. The food was inedible. I will never visit the restaurant again. No matter how much we looked forward to our kitchen and food, our joy quickly disappeared. Can't recommend at all

12/30/2024 2 day New Year's Eve tour to Bonn. Found this wonderful piece of jewelry while strolling in Bonn through Google Maps. The booths are sooo comfortable. The service staff are very friendly and the price-performance ratio is right. Both of our dishes (Cevapcici and Pola Pola) were very plentiful. With a large portion of extra onions and two drinks we had 45€. Absolutely great. Highly recommended. The side salad is self-service at the buffet.

Not intrusive, but rather reserved, there is still customer service here. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. The prices 💶 are appropriate for the well-tolerated food 😋.

I tried the Wedding Platter at Dalmatien Gastro in Bonn recently. First of all, I recommend sitting inside as the decor was nice. In terms of food, there were various types of meat for the platter, which was quite enjoyable in the first bit. However, it felt a bit too plain around halfway through as most of the meat tasted the same (other than the bacon), so I’d give it 7.5/10. I’d recommend having 4+ people to try Wedding platter for two and perhaps another dish or two (we had 3 ppl and got the platter for two)

I was trying to look for a place to eat, and try something new at the same time. I saw this restaurant and saw the menu outside. Decided to check it out. Outside was the chef and the supervisor with someone. They looked at me reading the menu and said another one reading and not entering. Then they started to argue. Just by this situation i can see the bad management in this restaurant, no wonder it was empty at 14:00, people need to understand that if they want to sell something, they need to be nice with customers and invite them in. Not scare them away. I don't recommend this place.

We were only there for two quick Kölsch and were served very well, which is not something that can be taken for granted in many restaurants these days. In my opinion, the ambience stands out from many oh-so-hip restaurants, that's what I call tradition! Smooth recommendation and the schnapps for the reunion were on the house. There will be a reunion!

Very friendly, courteous service. The drinks are fresh and appropriately chilled. The dishes were very tasty and the portion size was generous. Senior meals are correspondingly smaller. Starter salad buffet is not that imaginative, but ok. So: everything fits.

I am one of those people who are happy to pay the price for good food and good service if the service is good. We received the menu quickly and the order was taken promptly. We could get the salads that came with the meal at the rather bland "salad buffet", but the quality here was ok. And then came my main course. A minced steak filled with sheep's cheese with fries and Djuvec rice. The fries were OK, but the rest.... I have never had such a bad ground steak in a restaurant. The whole thing had the consistency of rubber and tasted so bad that I was left with one bite all evening long. When I kindly but firmly pointed this out to the waiter and also told him that this was the cheapest ready-made product, he insisted that the "chef" had made this from fresh minced meat. If that was the case, I would rather not know which animal the meat came from. I didn't have to pay for the main course and the rubbery consistency was confirmed, but nothing more. There was no serious apology and it's clear to me that this "restaurant" doesn't deserve a second chance. Absolutely no recommendation and one of my biggest gastronomic flops in recent years.

The food is as you would expect when you visit a Croatian restaurant. Nothing special, nothing exciting but not bad either. You get what you order. Price performance fits. The ambience isn't any better or worse than what you're used to, so all in all it's old-fashioned... if you like it, this is the place for you. In any case, you're not doing anything wrong.

As foreigners, we suddenly decided to eat here in the evening. The waitress (probably the owner) was friendly and quick in taking the order. We were able to help ourselves to the salad buffet before eating. Actually a good idea, unfortunately the salad was from a can. The green salad was brown in many places and the sauces felt like they came from a bottle. A pity. The main dishes came promptly, were warm and tasted good so far. The fries were actually good, as was the turkey and the liver. Unfortunately, the Cevapcici clearly came from the frost or were pre-made. It would also have been nice if there had been a typical dip, like Ajvar, on the plates. The portion size is suitable for a good eater. All in all, an acceptable dinner, but nothing more. In our opinion, not suitable for repetition.

The food is frozen from appetizers to dessert. There is nothing fresh on the plate. The toilet smells like a drain. Normally the public order office has to check. Let it close

Every now and then, when we are in Bonn, we stop off in Dalmatia. Here you can also eat “between times”, which is sometimes very practical. During the last visit in January 2024, the funny Bosniak (rump steak filled with ham and cheese) and a pepper fillet steak were ordered. Both dishes were thoroughly prepared and we ate them without complaint ;-) Attached is a picture of my dish "Funny Bosniak"

It was once a very good restaurant - but unfortunately those days are over. I don't know if there has been a change of ownership or if the chef is no good. I used to eat there very often, even with friends and family, and again in September 2023 after a long time. The old service staff is still friendly and top. However, the food was a complete disaster. There was a measly selection at the salad buffet - 1 sauce and there were fruit flies there. The Pleskavicka was a dry flat hamburger (not visually inviting). There used to be onions and red sauce on it - that was missing now. The rice was tasteless and the fries were no longer tasty either; they tasted old and rancid. The prices used to be always comparatively cheap and fair - now they are just overpriced and the quality is significantly worse. So this restaurant has to work on that again, otherwise it will lose its regular customers. There used to be a Slibowic when paying - that was also saved! I can't say whether I'll try eating there again.

Fine dining. As a visiting Croat, I first went to Dalmatien Gastro when I just arrived to Bonn. I loved it so much I dined here before my departure as well. The portions are perfect, the food is tasty, the atmosphere is cozy (given the restaurant’s layout, atmosphere can be intimate or public, depending on your choice), and the service is amazing. I will come back again

Ich hatte die Gänsebrust mit Knödeln und Rotkohl. Sehr Lecker. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Es waren als ich am frühen Nachmittag dort ankam Sitzplätze frei. Es ist dort wie ich finde Gemütlich. Auch die Preise sind Okay.

Hier müssen Sie hin , wenn Sie gutes Essen genießen möchten. 1 pukt Abzug für das Ambiente, weil es im Keller ist aber daran kann man nichts ändern . Habe ihr die besten medallions der Stadt gegessen .Nun werden wir hier jeden Monat essen gehen .Sehr empfehlenswert.

War hier vor einer Woche zum ersten Mal und werde definitiv wiederkommen. Sehr große Portionen und geschmacklich top! Preislich für das was man bekommt klasse. Die Rinderleber war sehr lecker. Mein Vorgänger hat geschrieben, dass es im Restaurant muffig riechen soll. Das kann ich gar nicht bestätigen und meine Nase ist ziemlich sensibel. Finde das Ambiente schön und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr herzlich

Das Essen ist gut, aber leider nicht mehr. Es fehlt die Würze. Der Duvej Reis verkocht, die Pommes hart und das Fleisch eher hart und trocken. Aber vielleicht muss das so. Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist leider altbacken und bedarf einer kleinen modernisierung.

Ich wollte mit meiner Familie dort essen. Heimatküche - doch leider war das Essen eine Katastrophe. Das Essen hatte keinen Geschmack. Das Fleisch war hart, die Pommes wie Stein und die Salatbar eine Zumutung, sowas von unappetitlich. Was ist das für ein Kroatisches Restaurant was keine Paprika, Gurke, Ajvar anbietet auch der typische Geruch hat gefehlt. Leider nicht zu empfehlen, das Geld kann man sich sparen....
