Great test love the food must visit

Very disappointing, food took over half an hour to arrive, when it came it was just a very watery tasteless sauce with veal chunks in it, almost 20€! We had several Appetizers and main dishes, the other dishes were the same story, no taste at all. They forgot our drinks twice, after we finally got them no apology. Good outdoor seating, but what good is it?

Authentic flavours..Really loved it... I have visited multiple Indian restaurants in berlin but was never happer with the flavours, its not about the spice but its about the flavours.. Here in Dal chini the flavours were soo right and soo good.. This has automatically become my new go to Indian restaurant..

Finally a top Indian in the area! I ordered the 15 “Punjabi Murgh Tikka” based on a recommendation from the owner. Plus a delicious mango lassi. Exactly this “15” from the menu has the potential to become my favorite. I can only advise you to go there and fill your stomachs. I definitely won't be looking after it. It could well be possible that we will meet there, because it's definitely not the last time I've been there. Good Indian with a nice atmosphere. Tandoori dishes were great, we even got a dessert.

Very attentive and friendly service. The food is very tasty, inexpensive and sufficient. The restaurant and the associated outdoor area are well maintained and clean. The interior is inviting and invites you to linger. However, if you have to go to the toilet, you unfortunately have to take slightly steeper steps. I can only recommend a visit to the Dalchini restaurant, not far from the Friedenau S-Bahn. Well then, bon appetit, it's worth it

Inside in a very pleasant atmosphere or outside on a spacious terrace you‘ll find excellent food and service here. And … the cocktails are superb 😁

We are regular guests and really enjoy coming here. The manager welcomes the guests almost like family members. The food is very good, the taste is amazing every time. If desired, you can get it really sharp or sharpen it even further. The prices are - I think - reasonable. Here we cook with love.

I never gave a personal visit to this restaurant but frequently order from here. I always believe the restaurant which can cook basic dishes like daal rice well definitely has a good cook. Recently I ordered daal shorba and basmati pulav, the combination tastes Epic. The consistency of daal, texture and taste was really good. There are very few good Indian restaurant in Berlin and definitely this is one of them.

The food tasted very good. Prices are accordingly reasonable. Unfortunately everything took a very long time. We had to wait a total of an hour for two main courses.

Das Allerbeste zuerst: in welchem Restaurant bietet der Chef an seine Küche zu besuchen/zu inspizieren? Dort trifft man die Köche und kann zuschauen, wie das bestellte Essen frisch (!) zubereitet wird. Das alleine sagt eigentlich alles über Stil, Transparenz und Offenheit dem Gast gegenüber aus! Wir kennen die indische Küche von Besuchen im Lande selbst und können nur sagen dass es bei Dalchini authentisch indisch zugeht (incl. unaufdringlicher, dezenter background music). Alle sind freundlich und die leckeren Gerichte kommen schön heiß brutzelnd auf den Tisch. Alles in allem, incl. auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis lassen uns bestimmt bald wieder kommen.

One of the best and most pleasant Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The boss is very friendly, the service is courteous and the food is incredibly good. Highly recommended! Whether on site or to take away. The child-friendliness is extraordinary. And the mango lassi is a standout. We often go there with the family and would love to come back.

We finally found a great restaurant with Indian specialties (we've been looking for five years... 😉). The menu is deliberately kept smaller, but all dishes are freshly prepared, which you can taste straight away. In some cases, dishes are also recommended at the table or the display on the door (e.g. BBQ on the weekend) was a tasty tip that we were happy to follow. The service is always courteous, attentive and… as noted in the other reviews, the knowledge of German is getting better and better! 😊 We would love to come back and have already recommended the restaurant to others.

Wir haben endlich wieder ein tolles Restaurant mit indischen Spezialitäten gefunden (haben fünf Jahre gesucht… 😉). Die Speisekarte ist bewusst kleiner gehalten, dafür werden aber alle Gerichte frisch zubereitet, was man sofort schmeckt. Teilweise werden Speisen auch am Tisch empfohlen bzw. der Aufsteller an der Tür (z.B. BBQ am Wochenende) war ein leckerer Hinweis, dem wir gern gefolgt sind. Der Service ist immer zuvorkommend, aufmerksam und… wie bei den anderen Bewertungen angemerkt, die Deutschkenntnisse werden immer besser! 😊 Wir kommen gern wieder und haben das Restaurant auch schon weiterempfohlen.

A pity for the smell of the clothes but I think there is no Indische Restaurant that does not smell bad in the world so ok

I have to say that it didn't exactly blow me away. The butter chicken was okay but at €15.80 it was relatively expensive compared to others I've been to. The Bhatura was delicious, but was brought to us as a starter, which was probably because the waitress unfortunately didn't speak a word of German. Otherwise the service was nice and the restaurant is nicely decorated.

Unfortunately, this restaurant didn't convince me. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try it - tastes are subjective, but in my opinion there are better ones. There was some special spice in the food, which in my opinion wasn't right. Communication with the employees was difficult because there was hardly any knowledge of German. But the location was very nice! If you are in the area, you can definitely eat there.

The service and food is perfect ! The dishes are delicate, flavourful and authentic, you can even find Peshwari Naan there ! The portions are generous and we easily have extra to bring home when we come here. They have very welcoming staff and love to add caring supplements such as desserts and schnapps. A truly nice atmosphere. Thank you !

If you are looking for a fine dining experience with Indian cuisine then this is the place. They actually have a proper tandoor.

Wir haben uns etwas von der 4,8 Sterne-Bewertung blenden lassen. Wir waren die Tage zuvor um die Ecke nepalesisch essen mit sehr leckerem Knoblauch Naan und guten Curries. Da wurden wir hier etwas enttäuscht. Das Naan wirkt nicht frisch gemacht, es war relativ dünn, zu wenig fluffig und hat uns für den Preis von 3,90€ nicht überzeugt. Dafür haben wir anstatt Reis pro Person zusätzlich ein Naan erhalten, aber hätten uns im Nachgang doch eher für den Reis entschieden. Das Butter Chicken war ok, aber nicht überragend und die gemischte Grillplatte war lecker, aber die dazu gereichte Currysoße war im Geschmack nicht aufregend und hat für mich eher nur nach Butter geschmeckt. Auch der Chai Tee war irgendwie komisch und die Nachspeise Gajar Halwa war für mich zu breiig und fettig. Da waren die einzelnen Karottenrapseln nicht mehr wirklich raus zu schmecken. Der Service war ganz gut, nur wurden die leeren Teller zu lange stehen gelassen. Man kann hier sehr gut draußen sitzen und mit den bunten Schirmchen ist es auch sehr gemütlich.

Super leckeres Essen. Insbesondere das Hünchen ist sehr zu empfehlen. 24h im Lehmofen gegart und sehr sehr Zart. Einfach top! Der Service ist zudem sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vorallem, dass vom Chef persönlich auch bedient wird ist super. Er beschreibt auch gerne, wie genau das Gericht zubereitet wurde und ist mit Herz dabei :) Hier wird Service-Qualität und Rohstoffqualität groß geschrieben. Viele Dank gerne wieder!

Leider kann ich die Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Das Essen war so versalzen, dass wir es 2x zurückgeben haben. Die Soßen und die Beilagen waren auch schauderhaft. Ich würde dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen. Indisch geht einfach viel besser.

Richtig leckeres Essen! Essen, Bedienung, Ambiente - einfach super! Vorspeise: Blumenkohl, Hauptgänge: Linsen und Lamm, Getränke: Singapur und Bombay-Cocktail. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und kommen ganz sicher wieder. 🤗

Really lovely authentic Indian food with he added bonus of an English-speaking host. We were so glad to have given this place a try and we will definitely be going again.

We were three ladies having dinner and we were all three surprised by the excellent quality. The taste of the sauces were different to other Indian restaurants and also the meat used were of a good quality. The service was quick and very friendly and our waitress spoke a little bit of Spanish. We recommend highly this restaurant
