Ein fantastisches indisches Restaurant! Das Essen war frisch, authentisch und voller Geschmack. Die Gewürze waren perfekt abgestimmt, und der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und einladend. Absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme gerne wieder!

Das Essen ist ziemlich durchschnittlich und schmeckt nicht authentisch. Ich habe über Wolt bestellt und war echt enttäuscht, vor allem nach all den überschwänglichen Bewertungen.

Wirklich eines der besten indischen Restaurants, die ich besucht habe. Die Gerichte waren hervorragend zubereitet, die Portionen großzügig und der Service sehr herzlich. Man merkt, dass hier mit viel Liebe gekocht wird. Klare Empfehlung!🙏🙏

Vom ersten bis zum letzten Bissen war alles ein Genuss. Auch der Service verdient höchstes Lob: aufmerksam, freundlich und stets bemüht, den Gästen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Man merkt sofort, dass hier Gastfreundschaft großgeschrieben wird. Dieses Restaurant vereint exzellente Küche, erstklassigen Service und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre auf höchstem Niveau. Wer authentische indische Spezialitäten genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Ich war heute im Dalchini und bin wirklich begeistert. Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker gewürzt und voller authentischer indischer Aromen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service. Das gesamte Team war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Man wurde herzlich begrüßt und während des gesamten Besuchs sehr gut betreut. So einen freundlichen und professionellen Service erlebt man nicht überall. Auch die Sauberkeit im Restaurant hat mich beeindruckt. Alles war sehr gepflegt, ordentlich und sauber, sodass man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Die angenehme Atmosphäre macht den Restaurantbesuch noch schöner. Ich kann Dalchini jedem empfehlen, der gutes indisches Essen liebt oder die indische Küche kennenlernen möchte. Für mich gehört dieses Restaurant zu den besten indischen Restaurants, die ich besucht habe. Was für eine Enttäuschung. Offenbar hat der Besitzer gewechselt und leider auch die Küche. Dieses Restaurant war lange Zeit unser absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant, deshalb fällt diese Bewertung besonders schwer. Das Essen war zwar in Ordnung, hatte aber für uns kaum noch etwas mit authentischer indischer Küche zu tun. Das hat man bereits am Käse-Naan gemerkt, das geschmacklich nicht mehr dem entsprach, was wir von früher kannten. Auch die übrigen Gerichte konnten uns leider nicht überzeugen. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass das Personal freundlich und respektvoll war. Sehr schade, denn dieses Restaurant hatte für uns einmal einen ganz besonderen Platz.

Sehr empfehlenswertes indisches Restaurant! Das Essen ist sehr lecker und sehr authentisch – man merkt, dass hier mit viel Liebe und Erfahrung indisch gekocht wird. Die Gerichte sind besonders und bieten einen echten Geschmack der indischen Küche. Die neuen Betreiber sind sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und kümmern sich wirklich gut um die Gäste. Der Service ist deutlich besser organisiert und insgesamt sehr angenehm. Im Vergleich zum alten Betreiber hat sich das Restaurant stark verbessert – die neuen Inhaber sind meiner Meinung nach sogar doppelt so gut. Man merkt den Unterschied deutlich in Qualität und Service. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Update Juni 2026: Bitte kommt zurück alte Betreibende! Die Renovierungszeit scheint eher ein Betreiberwechsel gewesen zu sein. Der Service ist unorganisiert aber bemüht freundlich. Aber was bitte ist mit den Speisen passiert? Das Gericht Chicken chili wird auf der Karte ohne Paprika und mit Hähnchenbrust aufgeführt. Am Ende kamen ein paar Stücke aus der Oberkeukeule mit Knorpel und ein Berg an Paprika. Die Soße war süß und und das Gericht hatte nicht mehr die gewohnte Aromenvielfalt. Auch frische Kräuter findet man nicht mehr. Generell wird sparsam mit Fleisch umgegangen und noch sparsamer mit Gewürzen und Kräutern. Das Restaurant hat leider eine sehr schlechte Entwicklung durchgemacht. Alte Rezension aus 05/2025: Super freundlicher Service. Selten so toll erlebt. Und das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Das Restaurant ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Endlich mal wieder ein Restaurant wo alles passt !

Das Essen wurde lauwarm serviert und war überhaupt nicht scharf. Leitungswasser war nicht umsonst. Und am Ende hat der Kellner 5€ einfach als Trinkgeld behalten, was ich besonders frech fand. Ich gebe gerne Trinkgeld, aber dann muss es auch gut sein.

Wie immer sehr sehr lecker, besser kann man in Berlin nicht indisch essen.

Es werden nur frische Zutaten verwendet, jede Sauce schmeckt anders lecker, weil individuell zubereitet. Im Sommer empfehle ich die großzügige Sonnenterrasse. Liegt zentral am S-Bahnhof Friedenau. Absolute Empfehlung! Übrigens: Hunde sind willkommen!

Recently , I visited this Place with my family. I heard about it from one of my friend and it turned out to be very nice Experience. Kids were comfortable and these guys are very easy to Communicate with. Bhindi masala is must recommendation if you are looking for different Veg Option. The food is great, big portions and very tasty. My only problem is that every time we order for pickup, they say 30 minutes. I come after 30 minutes and somehow it takes them an additional 30 minutes until it’s ready every single time, even when the restaurant is empty.

Went here with my mother recently. Tried the Rogan Josh and the Lamb Biryani. Both were absolute high quality. The spices in the biryani were subtle and well-balanced to where you could taste them individually and none overwhelmed the dish. The sauces were lovely in texture, portions were generous and we loved the general ambience of the interior. Prices are very fair for the quality you are getting. Will definitely come back and try their spicier dishes. Thank you.

What was going on on Sunday (December 14th)? They opened at 12:10... "The chef will be here in 2 minutes," and after 10 minutes he still hadn't arrived. We couldn't place an order, let alone try to enjoy the "excellent food." At 12:30 we left empty-handed. Why don't you just open later?

I initially ordered the food via Lieferando. Unfortunately, the order was canceled, which I only noticed at the restaurant. The waiter apologized and made me a tea. The tea was fantastic, really good. Black tea with milk and spices, heavenly. Thanks again. The waiter told me that they often have problems with the delivery service, which is bad for everyone involved. My recommendation: call, order, pick up, or just eat in the restaurant. The food was very delicious 🤤!

In past the taste of the food was so amazing, this time almost no flavours at all.

I was quite disappointed with my visit. The Chicken Tikka Masala was bland and unappetising, and I even felt uncomfortable after the meal. Service was also lacking - despite being the only guests, it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. The atmosphere felt flat, though perhaps it’s livelier on weekends or evenings. Overall, not an experience I’d return for.

WOW.. Found this place by accident and I'm so glad we did. This super restaurant, close to the S Bahn (S1) in Friedenau, Berlin, has super friendly staff, a great atmosphere and food to die for. Inside and outside eating available. The kitchen changed our order slightly to accommodate our daughter who has special dietary needs which was super helpful. Have a look at their menu online, then go in and try the food, I promise you, you will go back again. Only downside is accessibility for wheelchairs. There are 2 steps to get into the garden area and the toilets are not really accessible, but if you can manage to put aside these small set backs, the food is garrenteed to please. This is now our go to Indian Restaurant.

Discriminatory -- overcharging foreigners. They randomly charged my US guests 3EUR extra "because they have a foreign credit card". This is not a real policy -- costs are the same no matter which credit card. It was not an AmEx card, just a normal Mastercard. The waiter was just taking advantage of my guests. I've never heard of such behaviour in Berlin restaurants and am embarrassed and disappointed that this is how my guests were treated here. I used to come here but definitely won't come back now.

I rarely write reviews, but this one has to be: The food was fantastic. When I dipped my garlic naan into the Shahi Paneer sauce and tasted it, I was instantly transported back to India. Everything was so well-balanced, fresh, and I can highly recommend the chickpeas with fresh batura.

The food is delicious, the service is very friendly, and it's located on a nice, quiet side street. Unfortunately, the menu is far too long, making it difficult to choose, as I would have liked to eat everything... It's very easy to reach via the S1 train; just turn right out of the station.

It’s been a couple months since we ate here so I’m sorry for the late review. This is probably the best Indian restaurant we have tried so far. The food was amazing, the service top and the decor beautiful. Even just the aroma coming from this lovely place a couple of streets away had our mouths watering! Very tasty food! We had bhindi masala and we are normally pretty choosy in that but it was really tasty! Food is absolutely worth having! Service is also really good. Nothing to complain. The Indian theme could be slightly better resonated in e.g the table decorations but that’s a complain on high level and certainly no reason to come again. Loved it!
