Da Vinci in Velbert

After my BMW seminar, I was recommended Da Vinci. All I can say is: it was fantastic! Steak day: a wonderful Argentinian steak with herb butter, grilled vegetables, and crispy fries for an amazing €19.90, a fantastic Primitivo, and a very successful tiramisu. Plus, very friendly staff and a truly stylish atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you!

Our Christmas party took place there, in a very nice room. The decor was lovely and the service staff was excellent. The food was a buffet and quite tasty.

I celebrated my birthday at DA VINCI again this year, just like last year. It was another wonderful celebration with fantastic food and excellent, attentive service. Thank you, Ivan!

Came here for a late dinner and was met with delicious, authentic tasting food. i got the salmon tagliatelle in lobster sauce, my partner got the chorizo and mushroom pizza. You also get some lovely warm bread and olives whilst you wait for your food: There’s oil and balsamic vinegar on the table to dip your bread in. The food was delicious!! although the alcoholic drinks seemed very expensive, i didn’t try any to judge them. Overall delicious authentic italian food❤️

We've eaten there for lunch several times. The food arrives quickly, tastes delicious and fresh, and the overall atmosphere is great. The only (minor) downside is the parking situation.

The food was delicious and the restaurant was very aesthetically pleasing, but I have to say the staff seemed really overwhelmed. We were rarely asked if we wanted anything else to drink, and when we did order, it took so long for the drinks to arrive that I thought they'd forgotten them, just like the appetizer salad that was actually forgotten. We also had to wait ages for the bill. I held the door open for a server who was carrying a lot of plates, but he didn't say thank you, nothing at all, not even a smile. Okay, it was the first day of the Christmas holidays and therefore really busy, but I still found it unpleasant.

Yesterday, my team and I went to Da Vinci for dinner, where we also held our annual Christmas party. As always, the food was outstanding – everything was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The staff is incredibly friendly and always very attentive, which creates a particularly pleasant atmosphere every time. I also eat there quite often on my own and am always delighted. It's a restaurant I always enjoy visiting.

It was okay. There are better pizzerias, but there's always a table available here. And they offer more than just pizza. The price is reasonable.

I initially wrote a 5-star review, but quickly changed it to 2.5 stars. The reason: there were large dogs in the restaurant. The dog was constantly scratching and shaking itself. Probably fleas. There was another annoyance as well! The interior was very nice. A manager was very accommodating. A regular server initially behaved very unprofessionally. Luckily, the manager came to the rescue.

Excellent restaurant, with good, tasty food, and generous portions!!! The space is really beautiful and well-maintained, with an outdoor seating area for warmer days. The staff were attentive to us, making an effort to speak English, which is not very common in many areas of Germany. The only downside was that, as closing time approached, we clearly felt they didn't want us out of the restaurant! 😅 The overall experience is excellent!!!

We had a class reunion there with almost 50 people. The room was beautifully decorated and festively set. In our preliminary discussions, we had agreed on a buffet, as serving drinks by card might have been difficult with so many people. The buffet was very diverse; there was something for everyone. It was brilliantly organized. We had a room with its own bar and staff. We paid using a prepaid card, so there was absolutely no discussion at the end about unpaid or unassigned drinks. We started at 6:30 pm...and those who hadn't seen each other in a long time...we chatted, gossiped, and drank until 1:00 am. I would have given the service a sixth star. Thank you to the entire Da Vinci team for this wonderful evening.

It's now one of the best places to eat in Velbert. I was at a wedding there, and they had a grill buffet and late-night pizza. Both were excellent. The prices are reasonable, too.

The staff was consistently very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was good, and the portion sizes were very generous. The ambiance is pleasant, but the noise level can be quite loud when the crowds are high.

Very delicious food! We were there with two adults and two small children and ordered a portion for the children to share. By mistake, we were given one portion each for the children instead of one to share. We weren't allowed to return the extra portion and ended up having to pay for it. Absolutely outrageous that we had to pay for a dish we neither ordered nor wanted.

Unfortunately, disappointing. The food was delicious, the ambiance pleasant, but the attitude of the waiter was presumptuous. We weren't greeted properly. During the ordering process, we only received one-word answers. We were still eating our appetizers when two people (out of seven) received their main courses. The rest of our order arrived 20 minutes later. We had ordered everything at the beginning. Unfortunately, some of the noodles were too soft and mushy. We really like to tip generously, but unfortunately, it wasn't worth it here. Tip for the future: With friendly service, tip at least 10% is included.

Well. First of all, you don't sprinkle a kilo of grated cheese on pasta. Point 1. Point 2. The waitress forgot something – the kids' food came last, of all things. (Chicken nuggets and fries took 3 minutes to make.) Point 3 You really can't sit comfortably there; I felt like I was in a warehouse. But I don't want to criticize everything; there are certainly people who enjoy this kind of establishment. I guess I'm used to better. Sorry.

I recently ate at this restaurant and highly recommend it! The pizza and pasta are truly excellent and taste freshly prepared. I particularly like the daily lunch menu, which always offers new and delicious options. The service was also very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. On certain days, they even have special offers like steak day and pizza day, which I'm definitely looking forward to trying. Overall, a great restaurant that I'll be happy to visit again!

The food at Da Vinci was really good and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the service wasn't consistently professional. After we tipped the short-haired waiter €15, we received neither a "thank you" nor a farewell, even though we said our goodbyes. This leaves a somewhat rude impression, which is a shame, as the food was otherwise very positive...

There were four of us and we had schnitzel with fries, a burger, pasta, and a salad. The portions were very large and delicious. The food arrived very quickly, and the staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend it.

The vegetables were cooked crisply (very good), unfortunately also cold, and the seasoning technique could be improved. Personally, I find the restaurant too dark... but the restrooms are clean, too!

We ate lunch outside in good weather. A very extensive menu, with a vague culinary focus, ranging from tarte flambée to pizza, burgers, pasta, and steaks. The food was very tasty. Friendly service, lovely outdoor terrace.

I was visiting friends in Altena over the weekend and we spontaneously went to Da Vinci for dinner. I have to admit that the food (grilled skewers) was really, really delicious. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating, just perfect, and the ambiance was very nice. All in all, I highly recommend it.

All the seafood dishes we ordered were poorly peeled and unclean. Terrible cooking. It didn't reflect the pleasantness of the place.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. I ordered pasta aglio e olio. The pasta came with pepperoni instead of chili (although chili is listed on the menu), and there were no tomatoes or fresh garlic in the sauce. After complaining, the next portion came with chili flakes instead of sliced chili. If you claim to be an Italian restaurant and can't even prepare one of the lightest dishes in Italian cuisine, that's really weak. If you don't have dried chili and garlic in the kitchen, I expect this to be communicated when ordering. For €14.50 per portion, that's extremely outrageous. Even the waiter later admitted he was surprised why the pasta came with pepperoni. But he just accepted it and served the dish. Embarrassing. Just don't offer dishes if you don't have the necessary know-how. Please just remove it from the menu for future guests. I won't be coming back anyway.

We visit Da Vinci regularly and are completely satisfied every time. The service is extremely friendly, attentive, and fast. The atmosphere is fantastic. I've tried almost everything on the menu during my visits: from juicy burgers to crispy pizza, tender salmon to the classic schnitzel – everything was freshly prepared, delicious, and highly recommended! The desserts are also a real highlight and perfectly round off the culinary experience. The only minor drawback: the parking situation is a bit challenging. But for such good food, it's something you're happy to accept. In conclusion: A fantastic restaurant with outstanding cuisine and excellent service – we'll definitely be back!

Overall, 3 stars. In our opinion, the following points stood out: The ambiance is good. The service was very inconsistent; 1. The waitress was very friendly. We had to wait a long time to pay and had to speak to the staff twice. A server at the bar was also quite rude. The food was good. A pizza with figs and honey was weak, although the pizza was unfortunately swimming in honey. The Wiener Schnitzel didn't seem homemade, and the fries are of the same or better quality at any chip shop.

Yesterday, on steak day... the restaurant was packed! Very attractive seating, some of it extravagant, chic, and comfortable! Also worth mentioning: great crystal-effect glasses for soft and long drinks. My companion and I ordered and enjoyed the foil-wrapped potatoes, quark, and steak strips. It was great! Good quality meat, cooked to perfection. Friendly, prompt service... could work on some of their manners 🙃 You don't clear the table when someone is still eating, and you don't reach across the table in front of a guest during an internal conversation to clear away an empty bottle. Otherwise, a successful evening in a beautiful setting with delicious food!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Great disappointment – cold food served, no solution, unprofessional treatment Our visit to Da Vinci was today – and unfortunately, it was a bitter disappointment. We ordered two pizzas and a children's portion of fries with chicken breast and vegetables for our daughter. The fries were cold. After the first complaint, we received new ones – also cold. After another complaint, we were promised fresh fries again, but they never arrived. When we asked not to be charged for the fries because they were inedible, the waitress told us they were "free" anyway. However, the bill showed €11.90, supposedly just for a small piece of chicken breast and some vegetables – completely overpriced considering the circumstances. We were particularly annoyed by the waitress's unfriendly and unprofessional treatment. No insight, no consideration, no apology – that's simply unacceptable. We'd like to highlight the tall, young waiter, who served us very friendly and attentively on previous visits – and again today. Unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to change the bill. We've been eating at Da Vinci a few times recently, but after this experience, we definitely won't be returning. That's a shame – because we actually enjoyed going there.

A huge thank you to the owner and the entire DaVinci team! You truly took excellent care of everything – from the organization to the execution, everything was top-notch! The wedding was beautiful, the venue was a dream, the open buffet was plentiful and delicious, and the service was simply first-class. We've now attended two celebrations at DaVinci, and so far everything has been excellent: good food, very friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere.

A great restaurant in a very nice setting! The food is also top-notch, of course. Additionally, if you're planning a private party, whether for 20 or 150 guests, the venue offers several unique spaces.

"Two days ago, we were there with 11 people. When we arrived, it was a bit crowded, so it took about 30 minutes from the time we ordered for the food to arrive. We ordered pizza and pasta – the pizza was undoubtedly worthy of a five-star rating, but the pasta could have been a bit better. It was also a bit noisy, but overall, a nice place!

We were there for a school enrollment. The staff were super nice, always attentive and friendly. The food was beyond delicious. The pizza was amazing. We'd love to come back again. Unfortunately, the first review wasn't published. We were invited to the restaurant because a friend's child was starting school. I was absolutely thrilled and can't understand why the review wasn't posted.

We've eaten at DaVinci several times now and have always been completely satisfied. Last time, I tried the pizza, and it was by far the best I've had in a long time. We've never reserved a table, but we've always been able to get a spot there spontaneously. There's a play area for the kids. Our daughter really likes it.

I was invited there for a party. Overall, the ambiance was 5-star. However, directly behind the building, you had a direct view of an ugly hall wall. The food was good, and the service was good too.

We ate at Da Vinci on Thursday evening. Upon arriving, I first asked if we could get a table with our dog. We were very friendly and greeted with a "of course." Although it was very busy, we were served very quickly. My husband had a steak pan and I had a pizza. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. I would especially like to thank the young man, who I think was a school or college student, for his courteous service. We will definitely be back.

I arranged to meet up here for dinner and was primarily guided by the reviews. The first thing I noticed was the parking situation, because for a restaurant of this size there were relatively few parking spaces, so I had to park a good distance away. The atmosphere was nice, we were seated in the winter garden. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was served quickly. the food of my counterpart (pasta). Then my pizza arrived after a good 10-15 minutes. The timing was a bit bad, especially since the pasta had already cooled down by then. My pizza was good, but a bit "colorless" in taste. All in all, the price-performance ratio was okay.

On a Monday we got two top seats in the winter garden without a reservation. It was pizza and pasta day and very crowded, but drinks and food still came quite quickly and in A1 quality. There are parking spaces, but they were all full. But it was possible on the road.

Although I only ordered 2 pans of prawns, so actually “just” a starter, they were of outstanding quality and the quantity was even enough for me as a main course. The extremely friendly staff made the visit a pleasure... but so did my companion...

Nice interior and atmosphere but the squeezed number of tables means that when the room is full, everything is ruined by chaos and crowds around. The food, portion sizes and menu are good. The service is a bit lost due to the number of tables and they test your patience but at least they are polite. Overall, it's worth visiting here.
