Da Peppe in Illertissen

We recently ordered from here again as a group after a long time. We used to eat there regularly and were always satisfied. Today I have to say that I had by far the worst pizza I've had in a long time. The dough was as flat as the pizza box it was delivered in, even at the edges. It was probably not properly hydrated, which made it tough. The sauce was relatively tasteless, and the toppings weren't exactly high quality either. The pizzas my companions had looked no better. I'm giving it a second star because my son's pasta dish at least tasted okay, and the mixed salad was actually good.

We had a spontaneous dinner without a reservation and were greeted and served very warmly. The pizzas were very good.

We ordered 10 pizzas to be delivered to our home. Only 9 arrived. Four of them weren't the ones we ordered, even though we checked several times by phone to make sure the correct one was recorded. On top of that, the wait was 2.5 hours instead of an hour. Truly audacious, and at a rather unreasonable price, too!

We were there for dinner at 11:30 a.m. with 16 people. Even at that early hour, the food arrived quickly. The atmosphere was very pleasant both inside and out. There are enough parasols on the terrace, so you can sit comfortably outside even on sunny days. The staff was very friendly. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. I highly recommend it.

A nice Italian restaurant with a standard menu. Large, delicious pizzas from a wood-fired oven. A good alternative when you want something simpler but still good. Also a good place for ordering, delivery, or pickup.

Very friendly service, the simple pizzas are relatively expensive, while the more elaborate ones are reasonably priced. The wait time was moderate despite the almost empty restaurant. The "Da Pepe" pizza had a very interesting combination of Gorgonzola, onions, salami, and capers. The dough was unfortunately too fine-pored, and the flavor was bland, but it was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere under the illuminated parasols was okay, perhaps due to the rather annoying guests next door.

We, too, as long-time regular customers, unfortunately had to leave Peppe. Despite fluctuations in service, with the same staff, mind you, we usually received a perfect pizza. One or two things were easily overlooked. Prices, however, have increased significantly in one year. When asked, the answer was once again staff and additional costs. You don't hear that statement anymore. Other restaurateurs, especially in the Italian industry with very good prices on flour, water, and salt, continue to keep their prices very stable. We found a good new alternative. Where we happened to meet former regular customers of Peppe, and Pappe once again had one less regular...

Magnificent, the finest stone-baked pizzas... Thin crusts, original toppings, and recipes. The pizza sizes alone speak for themselves. The small ones start at 32 cm! Tip: Ordering and picking up is no problem; if you wish, pizzas can be pre-cut into manageable slices. Card payments are no problem, and inexpensive drinks, including alcoholic beverages, are available from the vending machine in front of the pizzeria across the street!

The quality of the food is decent. Unfortunately, the service – especially during pickup – leaves a lot to be desired. With an order worth almost €200, consisting of several pizzas, one would have expected at least a brief thank you or a friendly farewell. Instead, both the staff and the owner reacted with extreme reserve. A barely perceptible nod – which seemed more arrogant than polite – was all we received. It's a shame – a little more appreciation for customers would have gone a long way here. Given this, we will avoid this pizzeria in the future.

We picked up a bulk order worth €180. No greeting upon arrival, just a "Are you the bulk order?" When paying, no thank you or anything else. The pasta was absolutely nothing special, the pizza was okay, but parts were way too dark/black. The restaurant has deteriorated considerably; better order somewhere else. 😢

UPDATE: A few weeks ago, we pre-ordered another pizza for 7 p.m. The pizza arrived at 6 p.m., was ice cold, and tasted poorly. The replacement delivery was lukewarm, and the taste isn't any better. Considering the prices quoted, the pizzas are very poor. Great pizzas, but unfortunately, in my opinion, prices are increasing too often these days. If a pizza Parma increases by €1 every few months and now costs €15.50, and a few hundred meters away it's €2 less, and in the next town it's even €4 less, I don't understand why it should be so expensive here, since the other pizzas are at least as good in taste and quality. We'll probably change our regular Italian restaurant in the future, which is a shame.

I don't think it's okay that the boss collects and doesn't pass on the tip to the waitress. I don't support something like that.

The pizza contained frozen shrimp that hadn't been deveined. Pasta dishes tasted bland and were a bit oily (extra Parmesan costs extra). The waiter forgot one of the four dishes and only brought it to the table when asked. No one apologized. There were only four tables occupied at most, so it couldn't have been due to stress. It's a shame; for the high prices, you should expect high quality, but that wasn't achieved here. I don't think we'll be coming back for a while.

Highly recommended! The staff were extremely polite, the prices were fair, and the food was delicious. We were even allowed to bring our dog with us without any problems.👍👍👍

Don't be put off by the 4.3 stars. Either something has changed or reviews have been bought. The service for us was very accommodating. There's nothing to complain about there. The pizza was OK but too salty. Everything else was a complete disaster. The minestrone, frozen vegetables made warm, served in a packet of soup with oil and 3 g of salt per ml as felt. So I haven't seen anything like that yet. And then of course very expensive for this meal.

Either bad day or disorganized. Ordered seven pizzas, three came as ordered. Spaghetti Bolognese came once for rigatoni with canned peas 🤔 asked then spaghetti Bolognese came, but tasted like a can 😞 Waiting list said one hour, came after two hours. An absolute disaster 😱😥 never again!!!

Great pizzeria, family-friendly (children's menu dishes for €5) Pizza was on the table within 15 minutes even though the place was full. Portions were plentiful, only our older one grabbed them, leftovers were packed up (the Swabian heart laughs).

22€ for a pizza and green salad is a very steep price! You paid for the additional toppings you ordered, but they weren't there on the pizza. The amount of dressing on the salad was more reminiscent of a dressing soup. I won't eat anything from there again.

Case on Sunday November 3rd, 2024. I was a new customer and ordered food online, large salad, pasta dishes. Thrown away after 3 tries. Lasagna wasn't even half full. It has nothing to do with taste! Wrong drinks were delivered, I didn't get an invoice, and I was charged €10 more than what was stated on the menu! I can only guess if you order it somewhere else, you will have more from every other provider. Preferably don't give a star! €47 (€50) with tip, wasted for nothing! Kind regards Sturm!

Total failure. If the “boss” rolls his eyes when you order, you as a guest should actually get up and leave straight away. . ...instead of tagliatelle there was spaghetti without comment. When asked, only spaghetti is available. The pizza was fresh and hot, but tasted like a frozen pizza. When we had leftover food packed up, half the pizza 🍕 came folded up in aluminum foil. So you don't even pack your dog's food. The complaint about spaghetti/tagliatelle was suddenly ordered incorrectly according to "Chef". Hard to beat when it comes to arrogance. When it comes to prices, a clear NO. Not recommended. Get a pizza and a wine from the supermarket, it's no worse in quality and you don't have to deal with unfriendly and arrogant wannabe restaurateurs. 1 star is already too much...

Ich war bei Da Peppe schon öfter. Mit Eltern, Geburtstag usw. Jetzt hatte ich Linguini mit Lachs gegessen. Das schmeckte wunderbar. Die Pizzas sind dort wunderbar wegen des Pizzakaminofens. Auch Gnocchi und sonstige Nudelgerichte und Salate sind sehr empfehlenswert.

Absolute catastrophe. A table was reserved, the table was not prepared and the tables were quickly pushed together and the table was completely covered in dust. The cutlery was placed on the dirty table. Absolute Now Go!!! You had to ask the waiter to clean the table and ask for new cutlery. Food was quite okay.

Have been there off and on for the last 3 years. We were always very satisfied - the food and service were great. However, the service and the food have deteriorated significantly over the last few months. Although the restaurant has significantly fewer guests than in the past, the wait for food has increased. You get the feeling that the off-site deliveries are more important than the on-site guests. There were 4 people in service, but no one asked if you wanted something to drink or if you wanted to order something. It wasn't just us. We could also notice it in other guests. Then dirty glasses were brought which had to be pointed out. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food, even though there weren't many tables occupied (max. 10). We won't be coming back any time soon.

The food is great, there's really nothing to complain about. But the service and especially the delivery service are subpar and the restaurant is overwhelmed. If you offer a delivery service, it should work and you should use enough suppliers. If you currently order, the delivery time from 45 minutes on the homepage is usually immediately increased to over an hour and the food still arrives over 60 minutes later without any notification. That can't be it then. Maybe just stop the delivery service if you are simply overwhelmed and concentrate on your core business.

Well...we've been here several times and mostly quite satisfied. This evening - after the drive home from their vacation in Italy - both of them were a bit speechless. I don't want to give anyone unreasonably bad feedback, but I also get fed up sometimes. We (couple) travel to Italy regularly, have Italian friends and think we can assess the mentality and friendliness of the people there quite well. I'll start with today's end of our last holiday trip here at "Da Peppe": 2 mixed salads, 1 pizza, 1 pasta dish, 3 glasses (0.2l) of house wine and 1 bottle of mineral water. There was no more espresso because the machine had already been cleaned (before 10 p.m.!): €72.30. It seemed quite violent to me, but I didn't want to open a barrel and even gave a tip. Nowadays there is often no cash register printout anymore and I'm not at all petty, I don't usually want to ruin a nice evening with little things like that. Now that I'm at home, I can do the math as I want - and never come up with the total amount. About the food: Salad was good, maybe a little too much and too sweet dressing. Pizza (Tonno) good. Pasta tagliatelle (or linguine?) allo Scoglio (from the reef!) was pasta drowned in tomato cream sauce with plenty of small peeled shrimps, a few calamari rings, 2 cozze (!) and overall absolutely not tainted with the flavor I was expecting would have. I would like to use more various seafood, garlic, white wine...I would also like to use a large shrimp, fresh Pomodorini, etc. But every cook sees it differently and it's not a problem for me as long as the taste is pretty good. After the meal, as I said, there wasn't even an espresso (which was ordered and of course paid for) (before 10 p.m.). According to the menu, the Ristorante is open until 11 p.m. A waiter started sweeping the room while we were sitting there. That doesn't work at all. We didn't feel like we were getting a nice end-of-holiday evening here. They all just wanted to get off work. Hospitality and service look different while trying to maximize revenue. I'm happy to pay reasonable money for a nice ambience, good food, nice treatment... we've gotten all of that here in this restaurant from time to time. Undoubtedly not today. What's up? If you don't feel like it anymore, just close it. In any case, we won't do that to ourselves anymore.

We ordered online at 5:30 p.m. and had it delivered, and we received our food at 8:00 p.m. The pasta dishes were cold and didn't taste good either. Of course, how much seasoning you want is a matter of taste, but I doubt that any spices were used at all. The pizza was good but nothing more... It's a shame we won't be ordering there anymore!

Good Italian? Lasagna, bottomlessly bad... pasta sheets completely burnt at the bottom. The rest was a complete cheese lump. 0.0 from a lasagne. Pizzas weren't anything special either.

Pizzas as always delicious, but service unfortunately absolutely overwhelmed if you can call it service.. Was really disappointed.. :( We didn't have anything to drink for 30 minutes and no one was interested.. They don't ask you anything in between. If everything is OK, do you need anything else? For me, that's part of the service Then just asked for the bill When I didn't give a tip, I was first asked whether everything was tasty and whether everything was OK The remaining pizza was simply folded in half and wrapped in aluminum foil The table next to us got the rest in the box I was just told that he would get in trouble with the tax office if he packed every remaining pizza in the box Ok, but then pack the pizza so that you can't fold it

The pasta dishes cannot be recommended at all. The spaghetti carbonara (large portion) went like this. But they weren't good either. Lasagna is terribly bad. Not at all edible and mini mini small. On top of that, she was burned to the ground. Rigatoni Al forno with tomato sauce (large portion) was more like bland. Didn't taste like anything. Very poor for an Italian. Pizza salami with pepperoni, however, tasted quite good. We had it delivered to our home (10 km). The food was still very hot. That's actually the only plus point. Paid €50 for everything. Far too expensive and really poor quality. I won't order there anymore.

Some of the best pizzas in the area, portions fill you up well, but a tiramisu afterwards is definitely always good.

The pizza is really okay. Usually nothing special. However, price-performance doesn't fit at all. The other dishes use a lot of oil. Unfortunately the service is extremely bad. Went there three times and mistakes happened each time.

The service is very friendly and warmly welcomes all guests. The food is delicious. Maybe a touch less salt, because you'll be very thirsty afterwards. But we'd love to come back. Thank you for the good hospitality.

Most of the time the pizza here tastes very good. However, on some days, the pizza is a bit dry, but you can still eat it well. The pizzas are very large, one small one will fill you up. Service was always good and the selection of dishes on the menu is large. Prices are ok, if you want an extra ingredient on the pizza, it is relatively expensive. But since there is a large selection, you will definitely find what you are looking for without having to ask for anything extra :D

Wir waren mit mehreren Personen hier aufgrund einer Empfehlung und waren nicht so begeistert. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut. Allerdings war meine Kürbissuppe nicht warm, im Salat mit Kapern waren keine Kapern und der geschnittene Eissalat war noch in groben Stucken zusammen...eine Pizza kam falsch. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Wir haben zu zweit mit Vorspeise und Getränken sowie Espresso 80 Euro bezahlt. Sehr positiv sind die Parkmöglichkeiten hier.

Tolles italienisches Lokal mit schön gestaltetem Außenbereich und tolle italienische Musik...man fühlt einwenig wie im Urlaub. Essen schmeckt hervorragend.

Gute Pizza, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und freundlicher Service. Die Außenterrasse liegt zwar an der Straße, ist aber zum größten Teil durch Sonnenschirme schattig. Es ist dennoch ein tolles Ambiente. War zum ersten Mal da, komme aber gerne wieder. Kostenloser Parkplatz direkt neben dem Restaurant, aber leider limitiert auf 2 Stunden (Parkscheibe).

Pizza ist 1a....leider klappt es mit dem Liefern nicht so gut ! Entweder werden die Adressen falsch aufgeschrieben bzw. werden an einen anderen Ort geliefert oder die Pizzen wurden vertauscht... Es gibt nicht´s schlimmeres als eine fast kalte Pizza in einem durchgeweichten Karton nach 1 1/2 Stunden zu bekommen... Überall " Fachkräfte " Mangel ????

Guter Service, leckeres Essen. Echt nette Mitarbeiter, die sich gut um einen kümmern. Die Portionen sind sehr groß, so dass man auch mit großem Hunger satt wird.

Wir haben hier abends gehalten um noch schnell etwas zu essen. Service war freundlich, Pizza war gut und schnell da. Was will man mehr !
