We've been there several times and have never been disappointed. Da Filippo is a truly fantastic Italian restaurant! The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. The food is fresh, authentic, and delicious, from the pasta to the dessert. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy Italian cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere.

Today we wanted to have Italian food on our vacation and were looking for an Italian restaurant in Olsberg. We were so happy to have found this one. The food was amazing and the service was super friendly. We'll definitely go back to this restaurant for dinner this week.

We were visiting Olsberg for the first time with two couples, unfortunately only for three days and two nights. This introduced us to this restaurant, and after our first visit, we were so impressed that we immediately booked another dinner. And one more thing: If our Chancellor Maerz is dining at this restaurant with his five security guards at the same time we're there, it must have a great atmosphere!

Hello, a textbook Italian. Hospitable, attentive, the Prosecco was so cold the glass was foggy and sparkling. The lemon carpaccio and the Gamberi pizza are highly recommended. We sat outside in beautiful weather, just like in Italy. That's what a vacation in the Sauerland is all about. Many thanks to Mary.

We would have liked to order something, but all three tables that arrived at least 15 minutes after us had already been served. My question about whether we could order was simply ignored. There's certainly a restaurant in town where we'll be asked what we'd like to eat and drink. Edit: We waited half an hour. But when guests at three tables arrive more than 10 minutes after us, receive their menus and drinks before our order has even been taken, and our request for one is silently ignored, we don't want to wait any longer. Your lack of understanding shows that we did everything right when we left. Bye.

Wir machen einmal im Jahr ein paar Tage Urlaub in Olsberg, um durch das Sauerland zu radeln. In dieser Zeit ist das "Da Filippo" unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Wir wurden hier immer sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Betreiber nehmen sich die Zeit, jeden Gast individuell zu bedienen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr einladend, die Speisekarte vielseitig, das Weinangebot hervorragend. Alles zusammen ein runder Genuss. Beim Erleben italienischer Gastfreundschaft merkt man nicht, wie die Zeit vergeht. Am Ende bleibt nur die Hoffnung, im nächsten Jahr wiederzukommen... Uwe und Felix

Filippo and his loving wife bring so much warmth, love, and Italian charm that we feel like family and friends. Parking is easy behind the Volksbank, and it's less than a two-minute walk. It doesn't sound fair, but everyone knows this feeling, which comes with the size of a place and the associated expectations of its gastronomy. There were four of us here and we just managed to get the last table without a reservation – thank goodness :). Everyone really enjoyed the food (3 pizzas and 1 pasta). I especially liked the tomato sauce on the pizza (strong). The ambiance is also very nice, and the service was very good. The owners are really friendly and approachable, and they're not averse to a chat later in the evening. We even picked up a bottle of oregano olive oil when we paid :). Another great thing: you're not asked to leave at 10 p.m., but are welcome to stay and have another beer or glass of wine. If we didn't live so far away, we'd be regular guests here. Highly recommended!

Cozy restaurant with delicious Italian food

There are many choices of food, and they are delicious, but the price is a little expensive. The service is very good, the boss and the waiter are very warm and friendly. You can pay by credit card. The decoration and environment of the store are also very elegant, and there is a toilet. The background music is very nice, very relaxing and enjoyable. The seats are also very comfortable. There is also a hanging area.

We had dinner there yesterday, pizza and pasta were very good. However, we had some unpleasant experiences there. The stairs to the toilet: Wine boxes were stacked on both sides of the stairs. So you shouldn't stumble here. One of the two toilets was broken, the one when the restaurant was well filled. In the restaurant you had to go to the cash register opposite the entrance to pay. Everything was very tight here with new guests coming in, plus the usual traffic of smokers. Wine bottles were decoratively placed between tables as decoration. The last 4 were on top of a pillar and below were seats. This construction seemed very daring to me just by looking at it. As it later turned out, rightly so. A guest accidentally hit the column and many bottles fell. Obviously on the table or the plate of other guests. It was stupid. Annoying for the guests whose table was hit. Absolutely impossible but the reaction of the innkeepers. The guest who had this mishap was told by the innkeepers in a very unfriendly tone that they had to pay for the food, the porcelain that was broken by the bottle of wine and of course the wine itself (€300). However, I would say the bottle didn't break at all. This is the only way I can explain how quickly the damage was repaired. It doesn't matter, the behavior was simply impossible. Placing unsecured bottles above guests' head height in crowded, confined spaces is very negligent. Then approaching the guests like that is not possible.

I have rarely felt as comfortable as I did here. The food was great and the boss was just wonderfully nice people.

We found the restaurant via Google Maps and rated it 4.6. The restaurant was about half full on the ground floor, which made the noise level pleasant. Slight delay in getting in, slight delay in ordering, but accepting everything. The main course came with a delay. There is little to complain about in terms of taste. The only thing I found was that the base of the pizza was too soft and not cooked properly. When it came to dessert, we asked for it to be brought along with the coffee we ordered at the same time. Unfortunately, dessert was brought here and the coffee was only delivered after we asked, 12 minutes later. I felt like I was in economy class on a plane. The bill was ordered from a waitress, who immediately informed the boss about it. The boss seems to be the only one collecting bills. He was sitting three tables away with a couple talking, drinking wine and what looked like schnapps. Then he busied himself with his cell phone. Even after the waitress checked our bill again, he showed no reason to come to us and collect. Only after we got up and had our jackets on to go to the exit did he stand next to us. That was about 15 minutes later. As part of the discussions that followed (very rude on his part), I paid and forgot to leave a tip. But with this behavior the tip would probably have been zero anyway. ***** Hello Filipo, I cannot reply to your comment. So here's an addition: You are right - contrary to the other comments. But unfortunately it happened the way I described it without me doing anything about it. You should think about your behavior - or change your organization so that you can spend more time with other guests.

We went to Da Filippo Ristorante with a large group at the weekend and were completely pampered! The waiters were incredibly friendly, and the boss also looked after us personally. Despite the size of our group, the service was excellent – ​​attentive, quick and professional. The food was simply fantastic: lovingly prepared, excellently seasoned and of the best quality. Yesterday we ate at this amazing Italian restaurant and it was simply amazing! The atmosphere was super cozy and the service was so friendly that we immediately felt at home. The highlight of the evening? The baby care! Our little man was well looked after by mom in the house, so we were able to eat in peace for a while. I mean, that's the only kind of "babysitter" we want - an Italian mom to take care of our baby while we feast on delicious meals! 😄 And the Italian cuisine? Simply excellent! We enjoyed delicious pasta and fresh mussels that were to die for. And the dessert? A dream! That rounded the whole thing off perfectly. We can only recommend this restaurant! It is the ideal place to enjoy good food. Thank you for an unforgettable evening – we will definitely be back!

A very cozy looking place, we had a “not tisch” for 2 people. Neatly helped and the food was really good. But I never understand the discussion about paying. You want to pay with a euro card, it didn’t work…. Germany is also Europe, you know. She wanted cash, (unfortunately no cash with a euro card you can normally pay in ALL of Europe). Credit card didn’t work either, prefer cash…. Too bad you make it so difficult for yourself when it comes to paying. Then we had a nice meal and it was delicious… and then you get that discussion, your opinion about your evening immediately changes.

The restaurant was actually just an "alternative" to the originally planned option, but the change of plans was totally worth it. The staff was very friendly and obviously enjoyed their work. Yes, the portions aren't huge, but they were perfectly adequate. Plus, everything we had was absolutely delicious! We'd love to come back.

Wir sind jedes Jahr einmal in Olsberg, waren zum ersten Mal hier und waren begeistert. Eine herzliche Atmosphäre in einem schönen Ambiente. Dazu ein leckeres Essen. Eine geschickte Anordnung der Tische sorgte dafür, dass wir trotz starker Frequenz des Restaurants einen ruhigen Abend verbringen konnten. Wir kommen gerne im nächsten Jahr wieder.

Unfortunately disappointing I've eaten here twice now and both times I was pretty disappointed. On our last visit we were there with a larger group and unfortunately the service was anything but good. The service seemed totally stressed and sometimes reacted quite rudely. Part of the order was incorrect and instead of simply clarifying the problem, we were told that we had ordered incorrectly - I found that really unprofessional. Even the food couldn't make up for it. It was okay, but definitely not as good as you would expect for the price. It's a shame, but I probably won't go here again.

This was the best carbonara I have ever eaten. The service was super nice. All in all a perfect evening. Very big recommendation.

We were there last night to celebrate my son's 18th birthday in this great restaurant. As always, excellent, delicious food and super friendly service. But then, the surprise, Filippo and his wife came to our table and wished my son a happy birthday with kind words and he even received a generous voucher for his next visit. This year, like every year, we went to this restaurant for dinner and as always we received a very friendly welcome. With 10 people we ate starters, various main courses and desserts. Of all the different dishes, one tasted better than the other. A special highlight was that we wanted to eat mousse au chocolat on Monday, which unfortunately was taken off the menu. However, the very nice boss offered to prepare some for us on Thursday because we had reserved a table again that day. As announced, we got the mousse au chocolat on Thursday, it tasted the best we had eaten so far. We will continue to visit Fillipo every year (on our holiday) and are very grateful, especially worth mentioning for his child-friendly nature and his hospitality, which is how you recognize it His big heart is that he bought us a round dessert because we were visiting a children's home. It's nice that there are still family-run restaurants that deserve to continue to welcome many guests.

The service was very purposeful. The food was disappointing. The pizzas were very sparingly topped and the dough didn't resemble pizza dough - more like tarte flambée dough.

We had dinner with a group of 8 people and 3 children under 3. Everyone was satisfied! Top service and the food was really delicious. I had risotto myself, I am vegetarian, and I loved it. Recommended to eat something a bit more luxurious. Prices were equal to Dutch prices. They had high chairs for the kids and they were also kindly received.
