Great location. Food and service good. A nice change.

A very special place, very extraordinary individual ambience. You sit in the middle of a collection of pictures, sculptures, individual chandeliers and furniture. Everything has its history and has (mostly) been designed, restored and designed by the owner (couple) themselves. The tools of the former carpenter and restoration workshop are also still there. For some this may seem overloaded and chaotic, but for us this is exactly what gives the restaurant its special charm. That's exactly why we love Culmann! The food is great, Culmann classics such as the Moroccan chickpea salad (a clear recommendation) or the Culmann burger are paired with seasonal dishes, all lovingly arranged on individual plates (rarely one is the same as the other). The selection of drinks fully meets our expectations. The service is always friendly, helpful and courteous. If you ask the knowledgeable owner for a recommendation for a whiskey or gin, you can experience taste surprises - in the most positive sense. For us, THE favorite restaurant in Refrath. Always my pleasure. Glad we're lucky enough to have this restaurant near us.

Extraordinary ambience in the workshop between art and individual ambience with good cuisine without frying. Everything tastes great.

Eine Reise durch die Geschichte mit sehr leckerem Essen. Man muss eine Idee haben und was daraus wird, kann man bei Culmanns erleben. Aus einer ehemaligen Restaurationswerkstatt ist mit viel Liebe ein ganz neues Essenserlebnis geworden. In Mitten von vielen Bilder, Antiquitäten und Gegenständen aus diversen Zeitepochen, wird man mit einem sehr leckeren Essen zu fairen Preisen verwöhnt. Auf Wunsch bekommt man zu den Gegenständen in den Räumlichkeiten viele kleine Anekdoten erzählt 😀 Einfach empfehlenswert!

Das besondere an dem Laden ist definitiv die Aufmachung. Es fühlt sich an als würde man in einem Wohnzimmer sitzen und die viele Kunst in Form von Bildern und Skulpturen lässt einen immer wieder was neues entdecken. Ich hatte einen Cheeseburger, der laut Karte mit der hausgemachten Frikadellen belegt ist und das schmeckt man auch. Vom Fleisch her ganz anders als gewöhnliche Burgerläden, aber sehr lecker. Der Beilagen Salat traf meinen geschmack nicht, da er mit Zutaten wie Ananas, Trauben, Beeren, Pilzen, Feldsalat und anderen Zutaten doch etwas wild zusammengewürfelt wirkte. Es ist aber auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.
