Since I was here with local relatives, I assume everyone enjoyed it. My spaghetti aglio e olio was rather average. The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice, especially the large basils are very impressive. The service also worked like clockwork, even though it was very busy. Next time I'll try something different.

We had dinner at cugini today. Absolute catastrophe, waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for the food, staff completely overwhelmed, one employee shouts at the other. You didn't feel comfortable and there was a very tense atmosphere that came across from the staff. That was definitely our last visit. Here the customer is definitely not king - you save your money and cook yourself.

That was an experience. At first we didn't get a place. Then the waiter remembered that we used to be pretty good regulars. Things will stay that way. So 1 tomato for 4 pieces of bruchetta so I'm wondering where the rest of the tomatoes are. Pizza actually only had a large thick doughy edge and the toppings were very sparse. The rest of the guests are probably buying on the dry side out of hunger. We used to enjoy going to Gucini very often. But that won't happen anymore. Ciau Gucini

Very, very good Neapolitan pizza. You can only get these better in Naples. The dough is airy and made with good flour with high hydration. The tomato sauce tasted good, in my opinion there was a bit too much mozzarella on the pizza but that's a matter of taste. The pasta is also really high quality. Here you can taste that it has excellent quality and is prepared with love. The price-performance ratio is great. The service is very good and the atmosphere, especially in the courtyard, is very nice. In my opinion one of the best authentic Italians in Freiburg and the surrounding area. If you love Italy you have to go here! Gladly again.

As always, the food was an absolute poem! Whether antipasti, pizza or pasta - everything is excellent - when you close your eyes you feel and taste like you are in Italy. 😉 We sat outside, but inside it is also very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff is always very, very nice and accommodating. An absolute tip and a must for lovers of Italian cuisine!

Yes, Cugini is a classic Trattoria. That's what they told us. it should be -Environment- nice and clean. friendly service. but the food prices are not the same as in Salerno, not as cheap as we say, a bit expensive. but . the food is not the same as in Italy but the taste in Germany is different so it's okay.

Cool place and simple restaurant with Italian charm. I found the service a little slower than other restaurants. But it is a very high level at which I speak. ;-)

My husband and I were there for dinner. Unfortunately there were no free parking spaces nearby and we had to search for a while. I went ahead and waited for my husband. It took 35 minutes for our order to be taken. It took a very long time for the starter to arrive. I had a bitter salad with little dressing. Many of those who ordered after us received their food before us. However, everyone had noodles. We thought the pizza would just take longer. But when, after waiting for over an hour, someone got their pizza who had only ordered 30 minutes after us, we got really angry. We are relatively sure that we had been forgotten. You can apologize here, but it was just “food will be here any minute”. The moment was then another 10 minutes. We waited 75 minutes after ordering + 35 minutes before placing the order. Pizza was ok, a bit bland, a lot of crust. Visually super nice and also big, but ultimately it comes down to taste. The knife was also quite blunt and it was difficult to cut the pizza. Apple juice spritzer was stale. Doesn't have to happen again. A pity.

Lunch... Excellent spaghetti vongole. With a small glass of white wine.

We enjoyed a visit to Cugini Trattoria this week and absolutely loved it. The pasta and pizza we ordered were, in my opinion, the best in the entire area. The fresh ingredients and traditional preparation gave the dishes an incomparable taste and a wonderful texture. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Value for money is great for the quality of the food. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant also made us feel at home straight away. Overall, our evening at Cugini Trattoria was an absolute pleasure and we are already looking forward to returning soon. A clear recommendation for all lovers of authentic Italian cuisine!

Sometimes it all comes together: setting, food, people, service. So it was at Cugini recently. We were five, and had a mix of pizzas and pasta. All excellent. It's a pleasant atmosphere of a no-no sense restaurant, with 'just right' service and very good prices. Also, I saw there were large cans of Mutti tomatoes on display, and if they use them for preparing dishes they are, I read, the best to be had. I highly recommend Cugini! **Update April 2024** We've been to this restaurant three times now, twice a year ago and just now. It is still very good, albeit a bit more expensive now than before (what isn't?). I can certainly recommend the Saltimbocca and the Penne all' Arribiatta - very good both - but do not recommend any dishes - special or normal menu - with Garnelen. There is scant shellfish given and that that is is of mediocre quality. And far too expensive. The terrace is big and pleasant enough and the seating inside fine. Service is very good. It's best to make a reservation, otherwise you might be unlucky that there won't be any free space, even during the week. Great food. Great pizzas!

This is the best place within a radius of hundreds of kilometers. Very cozy and tasty!

Ambience nice, service very good. Food dry age steak 35€ stringy tough 2 cm thick maximum. Also cut into slices. Side dish of baked potatoes without anything on top. When cutting it you probably wanted to check the doneness cruelly. Old car-free is more enjoyable! According to the service, the cook was free and the assistant cook cooked. Next time, don't take anything from the daily menu when the chef is off! Sorry, two people ended up paying €93 for two people.

A little expensive but super tasty. Food came quickly and the service was friendly. Parking at the restaurant is only possible if you are lucky. Everything was great, gladly again. Reservations would be recommended as everything was full during our visit and we were glad we reserved in advance.

Magnificent! I say this as a true Italian!

The first and definitely the last time I was there. The pizza was completely burnt and the toppings were slapped on carelessly. The noodles were not cooked and were still completely hard. Even after complaining and sending it back the second time, the noodles were still very hard and I couldn't eat them. There was no apology or any reaction from the staff. The second time I complained, all I received was a smile from the staff. I left the pasta and paid for it. Here too, the plate was cleared away without comment and no response or question. If I could give minus stars I would do so. Once and never again !

Very good restaurant, probably one of the best in the Friborg region when it comes to Neapolitan pizzas! Were there with 10-12 people and it was really great! Very fair priced. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The submission and the ambience are particularly noteworthy, you really feel like you are in Italy 🇮🇹 😊

Wer auf der Suche nach kulinarischem Dolce Vita ist, is(s)t hier genau richtig. Mehr Authentizität geht meiner Meinung nach nicht. Tolle Karte, ergänzt durch eine frische Tageskarte - Da läuft einem schon das Wasser im Mund zusammen und frische Zutaten sind garantiert. Offene Küche, und meiner Meinung nach die beste Pizza in Freiburg und Umgebung (sorry Nitro). Service auch super freundlich und auf zack. Gibt nichts zu mäkeln. Dass es zu kalt ist, was man immer Mal wieder liest kann ich nicht bestätigen, und wir saßen direkt hinterm Eingang. Freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch

Alles in allem ok, aber ich habe schon bessere Pizzen gegessen. Mir war der Belag zu wenig verteilt, die Pizza zu dick und die Ränder zu groß. Preislich war alles soweit im Rahmen. Der Service ist aufmerksam und die Sauberkeit passt auch.

Einfach ein sehr schönes italienisches Lokal in Emmendingen. Wir gehen häufig und sehr gerne ins Cuigini. Tolles Essen, wechselnde Spezialitäten und gute Weine. Das Ambiente des Lokals und der Gartenwirtschaft ist, mit der offenen Küche besonders und das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet.

Recently found out about this place, and we liked it a lot. + Normal prices + Delicious food + Nice, cozy atmosphere + Terrace is nice and spacious + Friendly staff (toward the patrons) - Pizza Napoli saltier than I expected (but still worth it) - Only two types of dessert (the Tiramisu is the better choice) - If the weather is bad, eating out on the terrace in the cold while watching those inside, where it's nice and warm, makes for a disappointing experience. - The reservation was not actually reserved. When we got there at the appointed hour, they didn't have any tables inside, so we had to wait a bit out in the cold. Fortunately, by the time the food came, we were moved inside, just by the door. - Tension between the waiters was obvious and rather tainted the atmosphere. We'll definitely go there again, but make sure to specify a table inside when making a reservation (during the cold season, of course).

Wir lieben die Trattoria! Letztes Jahr sind wir durch Zufall rein gestolpert & wurden sofort begeistert. Egal ob innen oder außen man fühlt sich direkt wie in Italien. Das Ambiente ist klasse und das Essen könnte nicht besser sein. Ich kann mich gar nicht entscheiden was am besten ist den ich werde jedes Mal wieder überrascht! Ausgezeichnete Pizza (napoletana style), tolles Ambiente und aufmerksamer Service. Preise teilweise an der Schmerzgrenze, aber für die Qualität vertretbar und verständlich. Als Pizza-Snob bin ich sehr zufrieden.

Die Cugini Trattoria ist ein Stück Italien in Emmendingen. Hier werden Pasta und Pizza serviert so dass man sich fühlt als wäre man in einem Kurzurlaub auf Sizilien. Die Tageskarte bietet Abwechslung und Überraschungen und die erlesene Weinauswahl begleitet das Essen ideal. Einzig die Arrabiata-Soße könnte für meinen persönlichen Geschmack etwas feuriger sein, aber die Qualität der Zutaten ist stets einwandfrei. Besonders bemerkenswert ist der Service. Vor allem Alfonso. Egal, ob man sich für ein ausgedehntes Abendessen oder eine schnelle Pizza entscheidet, Alfonso macht jeden Besuch so angenehm als ob man von einer langen Reise wieder nach Hause zurückkehrt. Seine Kenntnisse über die Speisen und Weine sind beeindruckend und sein Enthusiasmus ist ansteckend. Im Cugini verschmelzen Köstlichkeiten und Service zu einem harmonischen Erlebnis. Obwohl man am liebsten diesen Geheimtipp für sich behalten möchte, verdient die Trattoria definitiv Anerkennung. Wir sind begeisterte Stammgäste und freuen uns auf viele weitere Besuche.

Tolle Pizzeria mit ziemlich leckerer Pizza und Spaghetti (es hat noch Luft nach oben). Der Salat könnte wesentlich besser schmecken, wenn man dazu einfach einen etwas besseren Balsamico reichen würde. Es gibt Sitzplätze im Inneren, sowie auch im Außenbereich, wobei man anmerken muss, dass der Außenbereich ziemlich schön gestaltet ist. Es wirkt wirklich sehr gemütlich. Bessere Alternativen zur Pizza: Markthalle Freiburg, Pizzeria-Hotel Löschberg (CH).

Einer der besten, wenn nicht der beste Italiener bei dem ich je gespeist habe. Super sympathisches Personal und ein sehr schönes, sowie angenehmes Ambiente.

Wahnsinnig toller Service ! Waren mit 20 Leuten hier und haben sehr schnell essen bekommen. Wirklich toll - gerne wieder !

Wir mussten leider aufgrund von Krankheit unseren Tisch für heute (Sonntag) absagen, was auch für uns sehr schade ist. Wir können ebenfalls verstehen, dass das für ein Restaurant nicht optimal ist. Allerdings ist es absolut unprofessionell uns deshalb am Telefon anzugehen und herunterzumachen und uns die Schuld für fehlenden Umsatz zu geben. Das Restaurant ist laut Google erst ab 17 Uhr geöffnet. Den Tisch für 18 Uhr konnten wir somit erst um Punkt 17 Uhr absagen (was wir direkt getan haben). Uns dann vorzuwerfen, dass wir uns hätten früher melden sollen, da man ja trotzdem erreichbar wäre, ist nicht in Ordnung. Woher sollen wir das wissen? Dann muss so etwas auf Google vermerkt werden. Ich war schon oft und gerne im Cugini und das Essen ist lecker. Aber vorerst werden wir nicht mehr kommen. Sehr schade, wenn man seine Emotionen an seinen Kundinnen und Kunden herauslässt. Update: 1. Es ist nicht korrekt, dass wir erst um 17:20 Uhr angerufen haben. Ich kann auf meinem Handy sehen, dass der Anruf um 17:05 Uhr von Ihnen entgegen genommen wurde. 2. Wir haben über die Absagen (Krankheiten) leider erst nach 14 Uhr Bescheid bekommen, da waren Sie bereits in der Mittagspause. Dass Sie zurückrufen, können wir nicht wissen, da Ihre Öffnungszeiten nunmal so bei Google angegeben sind, dass Sie nicht erreichbar sind von 14-17 Uhr. 3. Ich habe bereits geschrieben, dass es absolut verständlich ist, dass es für ein Restaurant ärgerlich ist, wenn ein Tisch dieser Größe abgesagt wird. ABER es ist unprofessionell uns als Kundinnen und Kunden am Telefon anzugehen und herunterzumachen. Schade, dass an dieser Stelle keine Einsicht zu erwarten ist und keine Entschuldigung für Ihr Verhalten kommt. 4. Wie ich bereits direkt am Anfang meiner Bewertung geschrieben habe UND mein Mann gestern am Telefon gesagt hat, tat es uns wirklich leid und wir haben Ihre Lage sehr gut verstanden. Ich möchte mir also ungern vorwerfen lassen, dass ich nicht nachdenke. Im Gegensatz zu Ihnen habe ich mich sehr wohl in Ihre Lage versetzt und Verständnis gezeigt. Sie hingegen haben keinen Anstand gezeigt und uns fertig gemacht. Am Telefon und nun auch hier. Sehr schade.

Wir waren mit Freunden und unserer ganzen Kinder Schar gemeinsam Abendessen und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Vor allem unsere Kinder wurden herzlich empfangen. Familienfreundlichkeit und Qualität des Essens waren wirklich hervorragend ! Wir kommen sicher wieder..... Viele Grüße N. Dörr

Sehr lange Wartezeit, Personal war überfordert und unfreundlich

Richtig netter , sehe individuellerAußenbereich , umrankt mit Weintrauben, Hochbeete mit Basilikum und Salbei bepflanzt. Essen war super, Espresso exzellent. Sehr freundliche Bedienung

Vorab: gegen das Essen gibt es nichts einzuwenden. Aber: die Wartezeit von 1,5 Stunden ist absolut nicht in Ordnung. Es erforderte äußerstes Winken, bevor überhaupt mal unsere Getränkebestellung aufgenommen wurde. Bis die Getränke dann tatsächlich kamen, verging sehr viel Zeit. Von Ankunft bis Abfahrt vergingen zwei Stunden. Auf das Doggy-Bag haben wir auch lange gewartet, bis wir uns den Behälter dann einfach selbst von der Theke genommen haben.

Sehr leckeres Essen (die Pizzen sind nochmal besser geworden als bisher), supernettes Personal und ein tolles Ambiente mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Immer gerne wieder.

Wir hatten Pizza mit Thunfisch und einen kleinen gemischten Salat, einfach klasse. Das Ambiente im Garten ein Traum, mit Weinreben an denen eine Menge Trauben hingen, darunter wunderschöne Sitzplätze. Auch Kräuterhochbeete sind im Garten vorhanden. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Kein leckeres Essen Bruscetta war das Brot verbrannt, Tomaten geschmacklos, selbst beim nachwürzen wurde es nicht besser. Spaghetti Alio Olio fad, schwammen in Olivenöl. 5 Stückchen Knoblauch drin ... das war nix. Da gibt es weitaus bessere Italiener in Emmendingen.

Die beste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe! Luftig, perfekte dicke vom Boden, sogar den Rand habe ich gegessen. Was ich sonst nur mache. Geschmack nur durch die Zutaten. (Finde die meisten sind zu salzig und überwürzt). Zusätzlich Täglich frische tageskarte. Schönes Ambiente, draußen wie drinnen. Man kann sogar italienische Spezialitäten kaufen. UND das alles mit dem italienischem Charme der Mitarbeiter.

Die Pasta und Pizzen sind sehr lecker. Das Restaurant hat einen sehr schönen Außen- und Innenbereich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Die Pizza war in der Mitte viel zu matschig ! Mit den Händen essen war nicht möglich. Nur der Rand.... U der war viel zu dunkel.... für den Preis schon viel bessere Pizza gegessen. Das Ambiente ist schön. Die Tische sind leider zu niedrig u man sitzt nicht so gemütlich.

Auch viele spezielle italienische Gerichte, die nicht jedes italienisches Restaurant hat. Lediglich hätten wir nach dem servieren des Essens noch was zusätzlich getrunken, aber es kam niemand mehr vorbei. Kann Mal passieren. Dennoch sehr zu empfehlen!

Bedienung nett. Pizza war nicht knusprig innen, eher wie Omelett Teig. Bedienung kam eine Weile später und fragte ob alles ok sei. Ich bemängelte meine lasche Pizza. Er wollte sie nochmal in den Ofen schieben. Aber meine Bekannten am Tisch hatten schon fertig gegessen. Einrichtung schön aber sehr laut. Zum Bezahlen muss man vorne an der Theke in die Schlange stehen wenn viel los ist. Es kam auch keine Bedienung mehr durch und hat nochmal gefragt ob wir noch mal was trinken wollen.

Wir waren spontan als Pärchen im Cugini essen. Die vegetarische Pizza, die ich hatte war der absolute wahnsinn! Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Das Restaurant verfügt über einen sehr schönen Außenbereich und ist auch innen, sehr interessant gestaltet worden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Pizzen, als auch die Nudeln, waren unglaublich lecker. Für die Pizzen würde ich sogar 10 x Sterne vergeben, wenn das möglich wäre, so lecker waren die. Bitte macht weiter so! Antipasti grauenvoll! Pizza nicht richtig durchgebacken und die Tomatensoße war so scheusslich dass die Pizza nicht mehr ansatzweise essbar war. Ihhh gitt nie wieder absolut abratbar.
