I was here for the first time today and was thrilled. It feels like you're on vacation for a moment. Absolutely beautiful Mediterranean garden ambiance. I couldn't stop marveling at how beautifully and creatively everything is planted and how the green oasis is growing. The interior design is also amazing (the sanitary facilities are stylish and vintage, with some creative solutions). Friendly and personable waiter. The food (we had salad, pizza, tiramisu, and espresso) was special and delicious. We were very satisfied. We will be back.

The two of us were there last night. My partner's pizza was very cooked on the edges, but the crust in the middle was soft and mushy, making it difficult to slice. My salad with buffalo mozzarella had been dead for a long time, drowning in sour salad dressing surrounded by the cheapest grave goods... This wasn't 100% Italian food, as the restaurant advertises. It's a shame, it used to be much better, before the coronavirus.

The pizza was truly delicious! My special request for Gamberetti was immediately accepted. The homemade pasta with salmon was also good, but still: At Cucini, you should eat pizza! I went without a reservation and was still greeted very warmly and served quickly. If you prefer, you can also sit in the beautiful garden. A cozy atmosphere inside and outside. Nice restaurant, friendly staff. We were there in the evening in February, and even though we were sitting inside, we had to wear our jackets because it was very cold. Either the heating wasn't working, or it wasn't heating enough. The pizzas looked and tasted good. The price/performance ratio was decent. Reserving a table is recommended.

If you want to sink into the depths for a moment, eat something, and feel like you're in Italy, this is the place for you. The food is exceptionally good, and the service is very friendly and accommodating. The food arrived very quickly. We've been there several times now and have always been very satisfied. Even visiting with our dog was no problem at all. On hot days, you can sit in the inviting outdoor area. A little tip: always ask about the daily specials; you'll often find the most wonderful dishes there.

I came to spend 2 days in this city. I was recommended this Italian restaurant. I was not disappointed. The pizzas are excellent, with very good portions and the prices are reasonable. The staff is very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had the pleasure of discovering Restaurant Cugini on our way back from Schaffhausen at the Rhine Falls and all I can say is that it is a true gem! The food here is simply exceptional - it tastes like we are right in Italy! The products used are of the highest quality and fresh, which is reflected in every bite. We were particularly blown away by the Neapolitan pizza - it is without a doubt the best pizza I have ever eaten! The ambience is another highlight. You immediately feel like you are in southern Italy, surrounded by a familiar and cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. It was like we were on vacation! Our children were thrilled and we parents were also more than satisfied. After a long time we finally experienced the best Italian food. I would recommend Cugini to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming environment. We'll definitely be back!

Simple but good! Ambience was ok. Everything is kept very simple. During the day it seems cold and a bit uncomfortable. I have no idea what it's like in the evening. Pizza was delicious. Edge big bottom very thin. Service was quite nice so far. Price for this pizza €12.90, still works.

Everything doesn't always have to be perfect. We are all just human. The question is how to deal with criticism. Seven of us came for lunch and sat outside. Besides us, another table was occupied by a family. We sat and sat and after a while I went in to ask if we could order. The waitress simply ignored us until then. We ordered, the food came in a good time and we ate. I was very disappointed with the caprese I ordered. On my plate I found a good mozzarella and by far the cheapest Dutch tomato, which neither looked like a tomato nor tasted like a tomato. I also found exactly two leaves of basil on the plate. In an authentic Italian restaurant, I'm hoping for a good taste of the few components of a caprese - for €10, a bitter disappointment. When I paid at the counter, I politely pointed out the taste. The waitress then spoke loudly in the local language across the counter and to the gentleman at the counter. Not a word of apology in my direction. Really a shame! It wouldn't have been so bad if the complaint had been dealt with constructively and understandingly. So I would have liked to have given the restaurant another chance. In this case, I unfortunately have to say that I cannot recommend this restaurant either in terms of the food or the service.

Orders and reservations are accepted by phone. In an Italian atmosphere, you can spend a pleasant time and indulge in all sorts of delicacies. Cugini is priced at the higher end. The pizza and all meat dishes are definitely recommended.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Friendly staff and delicious food at normal prices. In summer you can sit in the courtyard among vines, strawberries and huge basil. The fact that the farm is right next to the street doesn't bother you either. We have been there several times and will come again ☺️

But I promise, if you're looking for an original Italian pizza, a dessert or a salad, you just have to stop here. I've rarely eaten pizza like this. Absolutely great service, great ambience. If you're ever in Emmendingen, you should be a little hungry and stop here.

Unfortunately we couldn't give the nice waitress a tip. As soon as you pay by card, the waitress isn't allowed to accept a tip, which is a shame for the staff in the restaurant!!!

Great Italian food. Here, emphasis is placed on authenticity and high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere could be nicer, lots of tables in a small space and it was a bit drafty.

We celebrated our son's baptism at Cuginis in Emmendingen and were absolutely thrilled! The food was first class - every dish fresh, excellently prepared and beautifully presented. The portions were also very generous, so everyone was full and satisfied. We thought it was particularly great that we were allowed to bring our own dessert. The team even chilled it for us and later served it perfectly prepared. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They looked after us and our guests and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. The organization was also great: everything ran smoothly and corresponded exactly to our wishes. Many thanks to the entire Cuginis team! We would love to come back and can only warmly recommend the restaurant for special occasions.

Large pizza with lots of airy dough. However, at less than 14.00 euros, there is little topping for the price, 5 slices of salami. Cozy dining room, toilet in need of renovation, paper roll broken, door lock stuck, door color indefinable, looks very worn. Hallway in front with open cleaning cupboard.

It was my first time here to eat and I would definitely like to come back. We were warmly welcomed and the food was incredibly delicious! Ordered gluten-free pasta (with bolognese)...very tasty! Prices completely reasonable!

A very nice location that looks promising. Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't convince us. The oven vegetables for 12€, which I expected to be lukewarm / warm, were cold, partly burnt, bland and the consistency (mushrooms and aubergine) was very tough... as a mushroom lover I left them behind...my ordered Spaghetti Vongole for just under 25 €, unfortunately it was linguine (I could ignore that), but unfortunately it was also tasteless, bland, even after adding salt and chili 4 times. I didn't find it tasty... the pizza Napoli with 2 anchovies on the entire pizza.. . when the waitress pointed this out, the sobering answer was "anchovies are very salty"... We are used to different conditions, you could also have asked if the guest would like a few more... Value for money was not given at all for us. It's a shame because it actually looked very nice and we eat out a lot...

A very successful evening. Friendly and competent service. The pizza is highly recommended, as is the Bruscetta picobello. I would have left the noodles in the cooking water for another 2 minutes. It wasn't necessarily cheap either, Lake Como was cheaper.

Since I was here with local relatives, I assume everyone enjoyed it. My spaghetti aglio e olio was rather average. The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice, especially the large basils are very impressive. The service also worked like clockwork, even though it was very busy. Next time I'll try something different.

We had dinner at cugini today. Absolute catastrophe, waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for the food, staff completely overwhelmed, one employee shouts at the other. You didn't feel comfortable and there was a very tense atmosphere that came across from the staff. That was definitely our last visit. Here the customer is definitely not king - you save your money and cook yourself.

That was an experience. At first we didn't get a place. Then the waiter remembered that we used to be pretty good regulars. Things will stay that way. So 1 tomato for 4 pieces of bruchetta so I'm wondering where the rest of the tomatoes are. Pizza actually only had a large thick doughy edge and the toppings were very sparse. The rest of the guests are probably buying on the dry side out of hunger. We used to enjoy going to Gucini very often. But that won't happen anymore. Ciau Gucini

As always, the food was an absolute poem! Whether antipasti, pizza or pasta - everything is excellent - when you close your eyes you feel and taste like you are in Italy. 😉 We sat outside, but inside it is also very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff is always very, very nice and accommodating. An absolute tip and a must for lovers of Italian cuisine!

Very, very good Neapolitan pizza. You can only get these better in Naples. The dough is airy and made with good flour with high hydration. The tomato sauce tasted good, in my opinion there was a bit too much mozzarella on the pizza but that's a matter of taste. The pasta is also really high quality. Here you can taste that it has excellent quality and is prepared with love. The price-performance ratio is great. The service is very good and the atmosphere, especially in the courtyard, is very nice. In my opinion one of the best authentic Italians in Freiburg and the surrounding area. If you love Italy you have to go here! Gladly again.

Yes, Cugini is a classic Trattoria. That's what they told us. it should be -Environment- nice and clean. friendly service. but the food prices are not the same as in Salerno, not as cheap as we say, a bit expensive. but . the food is not the same as in Italy but the taste in Germany is different so it's okay.

My husband and I were there for dinner. Unfortunately there were no free parking spaces nearby and we had to search for a while. I went ahead and waited for my husband. It took 35 minutes for our order to be taken. It took a very long time for the starter to arrive. I had a bitter salad with little dressing. Many of those who ordered after us received their food before us. However, everyone had noodles. We thought the pizza would just take longer. But when, after waiting for over an hour, someone got their pizza who had only ordered 30 minutes after us, we got really angry. We are relatively sure that we had been forgotten. You can apologize here, but it was just “food will be here any minute”. The moment was then another 10 minutes. We waited 75 minutes after ordering + 35 minutes before placing the order. Pizza was ok, a bit bland, a lot of crust. Visually super nice and also big, but ultimately it comes down to taste. The knife was also quite blunt and it was difficult to cut the pizza. Apple juice spritzer was stale. Doesn't have to happen again. A pity.

We enjoyed a visit to Cugini Trattoria this week and absolutely loved it. The pasta and pizza we ordered were, in my opinion, the best in the entire area. The fresh ingredients and traditional preparation gave the dishes an incomparable taste and a wonderful texture. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Value for money is great for the quality of the food. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant also made us feel at home straight away. Overall, our evening at Cugini Trattoria was an absolute pleasure and we are already looking forward to returning soon. A clear recommendation for all lovers of authentic Italian cuisine!
