Conca d ´oro in Wolfsburg

As an Italian, I can confirm that they are Italians, even though I don't speak German and they speak very little English, so we chose Italian. The place is very reminiscent of our hometown, with real plants and a fresh rose on the table. I also saw some plastic plants, which I don't personally support, but the Italian courtesy with a rose and a candle on the table was evident. The menu itself, like in Italy, has off-menu options, which in Italy is always a sign of quality and freshness. Here, they offered me swordfish with a good tomato, olive, and caper sauce, accompanied by steamed vegetables. It was a truly tasty dish, although I could have used less capers, which gave it a slightly acidic taste. In the end, I mopped up the sauce with bread, as it was delicious. For dessert, they brought me a coffee affogato, which was very good and I spent a fair amount. I don't usually go to Italian restaurants abroad, but I was in Germany for a month for work and needed an alternative to meat and potatoes.

At the end of October 2025, I ate there again with two friends. It was excellent once more, and as always, the service was very friendly.

Update: And another great evening tonight with fantastic food! A wonderful evening in a great atmosphere, and the food was outstanding! Very friendly staff, great owner! Keep it up.

We were here for the first time today and were delighted. Even though there was a slight mishap with the reservation, everyone tried to accommodate the two of us – how kind! The food was delicious and the service was unobtrusive yet attentive. We'll definitely be back! 👍

The food was good, but I think we were ripped off. There were 11 of us and we paid €370. Looking back, no one ordered more than €30. That can't be more than €330. Once, and never again.

We went there for lunch. My wife had been there before with her friend and raved about it. I'm not much of an Italian eater, but I have to say, top, top, top. For €13, a starter of your choice with a main course was really great and delicious. We had bruschetta and then spaghetti with garlic and chili. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance pleasant. We'll be back. 😀👌🏽

Ripped off and extremely unfriendly! The incorrect and excessive charge was not corrected, and the excuse was that the staff taking our order didn't speak German! When the error was pointed out, they simply told us not to come back! I've never experienced anything so unfriendly and damaging to business, never again!

Extremely unfriendly staff. No "please" or "thank you," but a commanding tone. The empty tables weren't cleared or cleaned. We felt unwelcome and went to another restaurant (Tarantella) around the corner, where friendliness and service are still top priority. The outdoor seating also seemed jumbled together and uninviting.

Everything is always great and I'm going back next week!!!

We don't recommend this restaurant! The food we ordered wasn't brought. The staff's response: "You can make mistakes sometimes." It doesn't really deserve a star.

I'm still thrilled. My favorite Italian restaurant. A great new menu has been printed. Some recipes have been replaced or swapped. Now that's what I call variety. We were there this Friday at 5:00 p.m. Of course, we reserved a table beforehand because we knew it would be busy. By 6:00 p.m., the restaurant was buzzing, and people were queuing outside. The outdoor area was getting more and more crowded. The starters, such as pizza bread, snails, and bruschetta, were excellent. The main courses were served at an appropriate distance. Pizza, pasta with Gorgonzola, spicy pasta with scampi, and saltimbocca were a feast for the palate. Finally, some dessert from the special menu rounded off the evening. It was very full and there were staffing problems which we found out afterwards. 1 hour waiting time for food, wrong order, staff was friendly and helpful. But couldn't catch it. The food was good, I had tortellini and Lambrusco as a drink. The restaurant deserves a chance to see whether things look different during normal operations.

I forgot to make a reservation. We were still allowed to stay for dinner. That was just great. Like the food. My pizza was to die for. My vitello tonnato too. My husband had the same thing and was blown away too. Thank you for the service and for allowing us to stay.

02/14/2025 Edit: Now on Valentine's Day, the kitchen is no longer able to make any changes to the dishes, even though the waiter had previously accepted them without any fuss, "too much to do" and blah blah blah with the second head waiter... There has recently been a proper discussion with the guest as to why something doesn't work and it's the guest's own fault. Addio, not ci vediamo mai più! 👋😘

Had lunch at Conca d'oro. Good selection with 4x starters and 4x main courses. The quality and taste of the food is very good. The service is very attentive and the ambience appeals to me. Everything clean and tidy.

We found another good Italian restaurant in Wolfsburg. Nice, cozy atmosphere meets very good cuisine. We had lasagne and pizza and were very satisfied. We've been there quite often. This time we were supposed to sit in the beer garden despite having a reservation because we had a dog with us (not for the first time). The food was/has always been very good, but it's a shame that we were turned away in this stupid way. Very rude. We then drove somewhere else. I am very sorry that dogs are suddenly no longer welcome here.

At the beginning we thought, hmm, let's see... But the food was great, we had pizza and calamari fritti, both of which were very tasty. Would come again and try other dishes. It was a shame that the garlic sauce was missing when I packed my dish. Switching on wheat should be practiced again, using yeast would be great! Anyway, see you next time

Food itself is okay. It was very disappointing that when you point out to the staff that there are errors in the order, they immediately say goodbye with the saying "If you don't like it, then you have to go somewhere else, have a nice evening." Unfortunately, I've already ordered food to take away 3 times and each time something was missing or faulty. Unfortunately, you would then wish for some accommodation and/or insight, which unfortunately doesn't happen.

An Italian restaurant where you can enjoy pleasant dining. The prices are moderate. The porting is sufficient. You should make a table reservation in advance as the restaurant is busy, especially at lunchtime.

The food was tasty, but the service has a lot of room for improvement. I got the wrong food so my wife had to eat alone for the first 10 minutes. That was really annoying. After the meal, no one came to the table to ask for anything else, let alone clear the dishes. It took the service another half an hour to clear it away and pay the bill. We would come back for the food, but we found the service disappointing.

So it wasn't great. The positive thing is that it tasted good. Tortellini al brodo first was great, well seasoned, good size. Bruschetta was okay, but the bread was already burnt on the edge. Macceroni al forno was also good, size okay. Okay. Tortellini alla panna, tasted good, size is a joke. It's completely out of proportion to the other dishes. Especially not for the price. Piizza was good again. The service, on the other hand, was subpar. The starter took 30 minutes. Then another 30 minutes for the main course. In some cases, drinks were simply forgotten. I expected a lot more with a final price for 4 people of just under €100. The furnishings were attractive and clean. The only thing that was annoying was the toilet situation. If it's busy you have to wait because there's only one available at a time. And you can hear what the other person is doing in the toilet... well... All in all light and shadow.

So the food was super tasty, the waiters were very friendly and the prices were more than fair!

Nice little restaurant, courteous staff, delicious food, and it's cozy too. Really good price-performance ratio. A liqueur is even served afterwards, which I always find to be a very nice gesture.

Ich weiß garnicht wo ich mit loben anfangen soll, muss zugeben daß es ein wunderschöner Abend war. Das erste Mal da gewesen aber habe mich nach nur 10 Minuten wie Zuhause gefühlt. Als wäre ich da schon seit Jahren Stammgast!!! Die Damen im Saal sind super aufmerksam und freundlich,sprechen mehrere Sprachen und können sehr gut arbeiten. Das Essen war einfach richtig gut, und die Bruschetta war himmlisch,die beste die ich je gegessen habe. Das Ambiente ist warm, sauber, ordentlich und stilvoll. Werde sicherlich nochmal hingehen .

Es ist zwar nur ein Restaurant, aber mega. Preisleistungsverhältnis ist gut.

Kleines Restaurant mit Außensitzplätzen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind nicht sehr einladend, das empfand ich auch schon bei den Vorgängern so. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind in der Nähe ausreichend vorhanden. Die Pizza war okay, guter Teig, aber nicht herausragend. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Sambucca "vom Haus". Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, auch ein Grund, warum wir wiederkommen werden.

Preise waren sehr gut sieht man heute gar nicht mehr. Leider hat mich der Geschmack nicht so überzeugt wie ich es erwartet hätte Getränke waren leider recht warm.

Pizza war sehr lecker und man konnte auch draußen sitzen. Freundlicher Service.

Toller und aufmerksamer Service. Wir haben Mittags dort gegessen und zu jedem Mittagsgericht gab es eine Vorspeise. Alles hat sehr sehr lecker geschmeckt und war auch preislich nicht zu toppen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Haben heute das erste mal dort gegessen. Die Pizza ist sehr gut. Das ist natürlich Geschmacksache, kann ich aber nur weiterempfehlen. Aber ohne Reservierung ist es schlecht einen Platz zu bekommen.

Noblesse auf dem Hinterhof? Nachdem das Occipinti zusätzlich aus der Schrebergärtnersiedlung in Zentrumsnähe gezogen ist und nun auch noch umbenamst wurde (Update 23), lohnt der Blick. Es wirkt hinsichtlich der Einrichtung schon recht Nobel - doch spätestens in den Sanitärräumen merkt man das auch hier geblendet wird. Es sind eben feine Details. Begrüßt wurden wir beim kürzlichen Besuch relativ nett - nur um sofort zu erfahren "Heute keine Pizza". Nun ja, es gibt einige Tagesgerichte und auch aus der normalen Karte wurde einem Kollegen ein Wunschgericht als Tagesgericht serviert. Da hier praktisch nichts los ist kann man einen solchen Service durchaus bieten. Die "normalen" Preise sind gepfeffert, nicht vom Hocker fallen wen man die Karte öffnet und sich beim Promi-Italiener in München wähnt. Tatsächlich sitzt man neben einem etwas schäbigen Pennymarkt an einer Gassimeile. Schickeria geht anders! Geschmacklich kann gegen die nach längerer Wartezeit gereichten Gerichte nichts eingewendet werden - das die Karte etwas anderes offerierte als gebracht wurde... nun ja! Da der Laden noch relativ neu ist, kann man tolerieren das die Sahne-Bolognese durch ein sehr tomatenlastiges sahnefreies Surrogat ersetzt wurde. Zumal sich bei der eher knappen Zeit für den Mittagstisch eine Reklamation wohl ziehen kann. Ich starte mal mit fairen zwei Punkten - Luft nach oben ist noch massig. Ob das überzogene Preisniveau jedoch gehalten werden kann ist fraglich. 2-3 Euro weniger und man ist auf dem Level eines sehr guten Italieners in Hamburg. Update 08.08.2018: Heute mal wieder im Occhipinti eingekehrt. Das bevorzugte Sicily hat leider wegen eines Schadens geschlossen. Licht und Schatten liegen hier leider sehr nah beisammen. Immerhin sollte der Laden seit 11:00 geöffnet sein, gegen 12:15 wurden gerade die Tische außen hergerichtet. Gäste die sich niederlassen dürfen diese Aufgabe nicht stören - erst wenn alle Stühle das rote Kissen haben, Deckchen auf den Tischen verteilt sind, Deko platziert, erst dann bekommt man die Karte. Deutscher als Deutsch diese Italiener! Immerhin, die Pizza und Pasta waren gut, wenn auch die Wartezeit von mehr als gut 30min etwas "überzogen" erscheint. Essen kann man dort, Geduld ist mitzubringen!
