That was the worst reheated schnitzel on Schnitzel Day. You can't do anything else. That's completely unacceptable.

A super pleasant atmosphere, with very friendly staff who make every effort to ensure guests' well-being. They regularly check in to see if everything is okay. If a reservation needs to be changed, the waiter will try to accommodate guests. 👍 I'd be happy to come back. Drinks are also brought very promptly.

Wonderful, everyone was nice, the food was super delicious, and everyone was accommodating. No matter what kind of day it was, whether it was a day for the bar or a day for a delicious meal, everything was there, everyone was always friendly. I highly recommend it to everyone. Yes, only cash payments, but lovely people; only cash is real, if you know it, you'll count on it. Thanks for the great evening to the Cologne team.

A really good burger. Cooked to perfection. The bun wasn't your average, bagged bun, the meat had structure and plenty of wedges. The cevapi were also homemade, juicy, and well-seasoned. The service was warm and fast. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Been a regular for years and always worth a visit.

Not recommended anymore, what a pity!! The reception was friendly, but after about 3 minutes, we should already know what we wanted to drink. The waitress, a young woman, said she could tell us what beer was available faster than we could read. Within another 7 minutes, we were asked 3 times whether we had chosen our dishes yet. When we responded, "We need a few more minutes," they announced that it could take a very long time. They were having parties and couldn't fit our food in later. Well, the food came very quickly, but it left a lot to be desired. Some of the meat was very dry, overcooked. We said so when we asked if it tasted good. (The plates weren't completely eaten, so everything could be checked.) When we replied that the meat was very dry and didn't meet our expectations, the answer was: "The chef must have had a bad day today; that can happen!" When we objected, she simply said that everyone has their own opinion. It was all very rude, and there was no sign of the beginning. We asked for the bill and paid. I have to say, yes, no tip, because I was having a bad day (my 74th birthday). I know that's not nice, but we weren't treated like guests either. We were then asked to leave the restaurant!!!!!!!! We arrived at 2:05 PM and wanted to get something to eat. After waiting 15 minutes for staff, we actively sought them out and were then sent away because the food would supposedly take too long and they closed at 3:00 PM.

My meal was edible: Wiener Schnitzel. My wife's was very bad. The Berliner Leber (liver) was boiled, not fried. The mashed potatoes were too salty, so it was sent back. My wife ordered tomato soup as a substitute, which was hot and delicious. Then, to make up for it, there was a tiramisu on the house. We didn't have to pay for either the liver or the soup. That was very nice.

Solid, home-style cooking. Friendly staff and fast service. In a neighborhood where it seems like there are only men's hairdressers and kebab shops, this is the last bastion of a proper restaurant.

We really like going to Colognes. The service is always very friendly, the beer is good, and of course, the food is delicious. The value for money is very good, and the quality is good. You can even eat there with children. There's a good selection of food for the little ones. We're always lucky that our son gets a little something extra. That's also why he loves going there. Of course, the parents can chat a bit, and it's a great place to spend time. Yes, it's true, paying with cash is a bit of a hassle, but there's an ATM right next to the restaurant, which makes it not so bad. There's plenty of parking, but you have to walk a few meters.

A few mushrooms. The dish was supposed to cost €2 more than the menu. When I asked about it, I was told that they must have an old menu. My response was: I only want to pay for what's on the menu. After much fuss, I stuck to that. You won't win customers that way; it's not haute cuisine anyway.

The food was good, the Kölsch was very good. The service was unpleasant and she was still angry, not wanting to divide one Flammkuchen between two people. Because they would have an extra knife and fork to wash. It's a shame, but there were 5 of us there and they definitely did their job well. In the 25th year of the 21st century, the possibility of paying by card is simply embarrassing

Sorry, but the schnitzels (which were also photographed here in the reviews) are hardly better than a packaged Zimbo schnitzel from the Netto. Dry, almost rectangular and fried. It's okay for a snack bar, but then for a restaurant and the price is disproportionate. Rump steak "Medium" was fried to death and also dry. Failure. The service was also very unfriendly. The beer was cold and arrived quickly, but that was it. Definitely the last time.

We regularly go here for all-you-can-eat spare ribs, but the other dishes are also highly recommended. The staff is always friendly and the food and drinks come quickly. I also think the atmosphere is nice. There is one room that is decorated like a bar, the rest like a Cologne-style restaurant.

The food is good, the atmosphere is very appealing. What is absolutely unacceptable, however, is that in 2025 (!) you will only be able to pay with cash. Anyone who knows a little about the gastronomy scene knows the background…

It was really delicious and everything was very nice, but unfortunately there was a very unfriendly older lady employed, who unfortunately brought down the reputation of the restaurant.

We often enjoy the good food here. But even more so is the warm hospitality.

Unfortunately, Colognes is no longer the same under new management. The food is still good... unfortunately, the prices have increased significantly. But the warmth, friendliness, and feel-good factor are sadly no longer there.

I ate here with my family and everyone was well fed. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. What annoys me, however, is that you can only pay with cash - that was a huge inconvenience because I don't go around town with a higher three-digit sum in my wallet. Even a larger party that received a 4-figure sum as a bill had to pay everything in cash, we were told in front of the restaurant, because one of them had to go to a bank. (There is only a savings bank machine next door where this person was not a customer) I can understand if you are only allowed to pay with a card if your bill is over XX, as this incurs fees. But generally ruling this out is no longer appropriate in 2025, in my opinion.

We often go there for dinner after the theater or with the family. The food is always good, the service is very friendly and the restaurant is very lovingly designed. For example, I am always fascinated by the ceiling. The only disadvantage: When the restaurant is full, the acoustics are quite loud.

Frightening. Were here on November 28th, 2024. We have never experienced service that was nearly as disrespectful and presumptuous as here and we have to strongly warn against the anti-social behavior of the waitress with the blonde pigtail! When I first ordered from my father, it was rude to reply, “Wow, you're hungry,” with a raised eyebrow when he ordered goulash soup as a starter to go with the lamb medallions. Next, my sister, who is in her mid-twenties, ordered an onion soup as a starter. She couldn't even name her main course because the waitress tried to talk her out of the soup... my sister first tried to humor it and then replied , she already knew what she could eat, but the waitress didn't want to leave it at that, the soup was gratinated with cheese; She doesn't want you to leave anything on your plate and has started making strange comments about her slim figure. Then my other sister, who had her birthday, asked her not to make any personal comments and to please take our orders as normal. Then she became loud and abusive... "now pay attention, girl"... she was 52 and wouldn't let anyone, especially someone younger, tell her how to behave... turned to the next table, gesticulating heavily and noticeably loudly Want to include guests (who clearly didn't approve of her behavior and ignored her). My sister told her that it was her birthday and that she should calm down, but no one at the table wanted to hear comments like that anymore. In response, she behaved even more badly towards her and in short we were fortunately able to move the birthday dinner to another restaurant, which was really nice and a great relief for us - away from the shock of this service from a woman who was so abusive and uncouthly crosses the boundaries of her guests and that without any self-reflection... anyone with countless questionable features on their face is allowed to go out among people; Even if it shouldn't be for hygiene reasons - a type of behavior like this doesn't make it any more bearable for other people and especially guests in a restaurant.

We were invited to a birthday party here. It is a busy restaurant with good cuisine and very friendly staff. Even though there was another party celebrating there, we were served very well. A shout out also goes to the kitchen. The grill plate was a delight. The steak was cooked to perfection. Really delicious.

All in all, a pretty decent restaurant with decent food, but the service leaves more than a lot to be desired. When we were there to celebrate a birthday with a larger group, the waitress patronized us about the portions and sizes and when she was politely asked to refrain from making comments and just do her job, she did extremely mushy. When we asked for a change of waiter, she even became loud and made inappropriate comments, which in my opinion was completely over the top. A conversation with the owner didn't help at all, as he didn't try to find a solution or anything. All in all, it's a shame that a restaurant is responsible for such a situation and is not prepared to defuse it by simply changing the waiter after the guests have already explicitly asked for it. Unfortunately for us the last time.

Simply great. The food was very good. Everything tastes fresh and prepared from our own kitchen. We had Flammkuchen Italia, Gaffel Pfanne, Champions, bread with aioli and tiramisu. They were decent portions. Therefore the price-performance ratio is very good. Staff in a great mood and accommodating. The mood is generally very relaxed and relaxed.

Four of us dined here on a Saturday and had pre-booked a table. This is probably necessary because the restaurant was full from around 7 p.m. The food was OK without being particularly outstanding. Unfortunately, the pepper sauce in my Brauhaus pan tasted like run-of-the-mill jar sauce. The meat and fried potatoes were very good. Prices are reasonable, but very ambitious for drinks. The service was quick, relaxed and attentive. However, there were problems twice with a readjustment. The only really negative thing was the high volume when the place got crowded.

We used to enjoy going to Colognes more often, but it turned out that we weren't there for a while and were now able to visit this location again at the weekend. It was always okay, but now it gives the impression that the quality has developed contrary to the price. You don't even pay €2.50 for a 0.2 liter stick of Kölsch in the tourist bars in Cologne's old town. So you ask yourself what justification do you have to accept this price in a restaurant on the outskirts of Solingen's city center? However, the cost of the drinks is put into perspective by the fact that the service (a lady that evening) was rather unmotivated and despite the brewery atmosphere, the visit there remained quite dry. In other words, poor, considering that the store wasn't even half full and it was probably too comfortable to completely set up the outside seating in the sunny 25 degrees (we had made a reservation for outside, but ended up having to sit inside). We decided to order cream of asparagus soup in advance because of the season. What we got was a disgrace for €6.50. The soup was almost tasteless and absolutely free of asparagus - not a piece was in the soup. Judging by the taste of the lumps in the soup, one can strongly conclude that it is a convenience product, where there was at most a photo of an asparagus spear next to the soup pot. This is also suggested by the fact that the usual smell when urinating did not occur afterwards. As always, the perfectly grilled steak was excellent - unfortunately accompanied by a sandy salad with some brown edges, pale, unseasoned fried potatoes and fries that could have stayed in the deep fryer for a while. You can also buy the sauces you order in a tetra pack at the supermarket. At the end, as a nice gesture, there was a schnapps on the house. We hope that people will return to the previous quality.

We came across Cologne by chance. But we were pleasantly surprised. Were there on a Sunday evening. The food is very tasty and the portions are very large. Everything was served hot. We received a friendly welcome and all the staff were friendly and accommodating during our stay - not at all intrusive. We never had to wait long. A small point of criticism: no card payment possible! You should keep this in mind when visiting. But we'd love to come back. There are mainly German and Croatian dishes. Pasta is also offered.

Arrogant and sometimes very cheeky. Unfortunately 2-3 times this evening. Unfortunately, this also applies to several different people serving. I've been to Colognes twice so far. Unfortunately the schnitzel didn't taste good at all the first time. Absolutely typical frozen goods. After a very disappointing first attempt, I gave the restaurant a second chance and ordered the tarte flambée. The olives on the tarte flambée tasted terrible and musty, and my companion also sorted out all the olives immediately. The waitress apologized for the olives and brought us a bowl of fresh olives - which tasted just as terrible. But the waitress insisted that we try the olives in front of her. When we confirmed the musty and expired taste of these olives, she “secretly” agreed with us and told us about the kitchen and the owner, who seems to be sticking to the cheap goods - even if there are apparently already a lot of complaints gave. The restaurant itself is otherwise cozy and they try the meal with a free espresso or top Free schnapps, which is of course nice, but I still can't recommend this restaurant.

Food was very, very tasty. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. The parking signage can definitely be improved. At first you think the prices are relatively high, but after you get your food, these prices are definitely justified. Toilets are clean. The ambience could still be worked on a bit, but all in all it was very good and is recommended.

We had a big family celebration. Food quite OK. Schnitzel. My wife really enjoyed the burger. You have to like the waitress's style, I found it very disturbing/annoying, but that's subjective. I was told that she is always so over-excited and “cheeky”. Despite everything, you could at least apologize if you rush into a guest. But luckily the knife fell past. What was a shame was that they didn't stick to previous agreements regarding payment. Since only cash payment is possible and there were over 20 people there, we agreed to pay by instant bank transfer. But then after dinner it suddenly stopped working... suddenly the boss had something against it. Oh well. It's a shame, it didn't ruin a nice morning, but it did make you upset.

Das Essen war in Ordnung. Die Bedienung wurde unfreundlich empfunden. Die Bedienung diktiert einem in einem aggressive empfundenen Ton den Platz. Man hat sich nicht wohl gefühlt, in diesem Laden. Ich werde dieses Lokal nicht mehr betreten. Der Service insgesamt wurde unfreundlich und aggressiv empfunden! Das konnte leider das Ambiente und das Essen nicht kompensieren.

Waren mit einer Gruppe von 20 Leuten angemeldet. Ein schöner (separater) Raum war für uns reserviert. Nette Bedienung, guter Service. Getränke, Essen - alles kam schnell, Essen zeitgleich, und mit den vielen verschiedenen Gerichten waren alle sehr zufrieden. Alles war schmackhaft und sehr reichlich. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Können das Lokal weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe und Kindern zur Feier im Cologne's. Vorab: Das Servicepersonal war sehr nett. Getränke wurden stets erfragt und gebracht. Doch das macht das Negatives nicht gut. Zur Speisekarte: Für Kinder gibt es zwar Gerichte. Diese sind jedoch sehr hochpreisig. Ein Getränk, ein bisschen Salat oder ein kleines Eis wären schön gewesen. Auch gab es kein Kinderbesteck. Für Vegetarier gibt es fast nichts. Es sei denn, man begnügt sich mit einer Suppe, einem Salat mit Feta, Flammkuchen oder man nimmt eine Vorspeise. Damit endet es. Oder man mag zumindest die Pescetarier-Variante und isst Fisch. Wartezeit: Eine absolute Katastrophe! 1 Std. 45 min! Unfassbar. Tisch war ab 18 Uhr reserviert an einem Samstag Abend. Trotzdem nicht tragbar. Die zubereiteten Gerichte, als sie endlich kamen: Der Flammkuchen Italia war ein geschmackliches Nichts. Ein Fertigteig, dazu etwas Creme. Wenige halbe Tomatenscheiben. Mozzarella musste gesucht werden und garniert mit 3 Blatt Basilikum. Es schmeckte nicht schlecht, denn es schmeckte nach nichts! Der hausgemachte Beef Burger...Fürchterlich. Das Burger Brötchen trocken. Auch hier eine Garnitur bestehend aus einer halben Scheibe Tomate, einer Scheibe eingelegte Gurke und einem einzelnen Salatblatt. Dazu eine undefinierbare Sauce. Doch das schlimmste war das Fleisch. Fleisch, was ohnehin tot ist,wurde nochmals zu Tode gebraten...Außen schwarz und steinhart, innen ebenfalls komplett durch und grau durchgebraten. Trocken und steinhart. Von Freunden vor Ort ebenfalls getestet und für nicht essbar erachtet. Eine Reklamation war nicht möglich, denn da kam kein Personal mehr. Um das gesellige Miteinander nicht leiden zu lassen, haben wir keine Fotos gemacht und aufgrund der knurrenden Mägen knapp die Hälfte gegessen. Aber einfach nicht gut. Doch es geht weiter... Draußen konnte man in die Küche schauen. Es gibt einen kleinen Nebenraum. Dort saß das Kückenpersonal/Koch und es wurde geraucht und zwar bei offener Tür direkt angrenzend zur Küche. Absolut unhygienisch und ein No Go! In der Küche selbst sah es auch chaotisch und dreckig aus. Nach diesem Anblick war einem nur noch schlecht.

Wow. Das hätten wir nicht erwartet. Ein Besuch lohnt sich um eine Meinung zu machen. Preis Leistung Verhältnis super...wir gehen wieder dahin

Ganz tolle Location, ich bin wirklich begeistert. Das Colognes bietet ein schönes, angenehmes Ambiente. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Getränke und Speisen werden nach erfolgter Bestellung zügig serviert. Ich hatte ein Rumpsteak mit Röstzwiebeln und Kroketten, alles war perfekt, frisch und heiß. Und das Lokal war zu dem Zeitpunkt sehr gut besucht. Von mir bekommt das Colognes eine ausdrückliche Empfehlung, obwohl ich eher auf Düsseldorf stehe.. *zwinker*

Kiváló ételek, jó árérték arány, kedves és gyors kiszolgálás, a környék legjobb étterme. Finom a gulyás és a francia hagymaleves, a cordon bleu, a bécsi szelet. Friss saláták nagyon finom dresszinggel, finom kávék.

Wir waren spontan an einem Samstag im Cologne's, da wir von außerhalb zu einem Weiterbildungskurs angereist sind. Obwohl das Cologne's ausgebucht war, wurde für uns (3 Pers) ein nettes Plätzchen an der Theke gefunden. Wir haben es nicht bereut. Selten so eine lustige, freundliche und herzliche Atmosphäre erlebt. Auch beim Essen wurde auf meine Extra-Wünsche eingegangen. Das Essen schmeckte hervorragend und der Wein war auch TOP! Allein das Cologne's ist eine Reise nach Solingen wert. Grüße an Christine und die anderen netten Ladies :-)
