Nice restaurant, delicious food, friendly service, would go again.

The food was once again delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, it's quite noisy.

The first impression was quite cool. The staff seemed relaxed. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was the exact opposite. Even ordering was confusing because no one was really in charge of us, and no communication took place between the individual staff (Do you have the menus yet? Have you ordered yet? ...). Then it took almost 2 (two!) hours for our pizzas to be ready. No "sorry" in between, no bread, or anything like that to keep our hunger at bay. Other guests who had ordered before us had to wait even longer. According to them, this wasn't the first time. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't recommendable either. Far too spicy (pepper shaker slipped?) and greasy. We had a good time with it for a long time :-( The reference to our experience was ignored without comment. In our opinion, this restaurant is not recommended, and we wouldn't go there again even if we lived nearby.

The food was undoubtedly excellent. Thanks to the kitchen. Unfortunately, we found the service abysmal. It felt like there was no clear line between servers and tables. Long waits between dishes. In summary, I wouldn't recommend it.

The meat was a bit overcooked for me. I don't really like the ambiance. You sit very close to other tables.

We are very disappointed with our visit to Collo. We had to wait a long time for our drinks and a very long time for our food. Both pizzas were completely overseasoned and far too peppery. We mentioned this to the server when paying, but they didn't comment at all. There was no apology... It can always happen that there's a shortage in the kitchen, but then they could at least bring the guests (we weren't the only ones who waited a long time for their food) some bread.

Very nice restaurant. Friendly service. Delicious 😋 food. We had various tapas. So much, we had to have the rest packed up. Prices are reasonable, too. Everything was great for us!!

Food, service, and atmosphere were all great. One downside: blunt knives, not suitable for pizza! Friday night with the fire alarm was very funny!

We were offered a table without a reservation because we happened to be there on a whim. The food was incredibly delicious, and the friendly staff really went above and beyond. We'd love to come back if we're in the area. :-)

Very affordable (both drinks and meals) and absolutely the best pizzas we've had in a long time! Richly topped, and well distributed. I would definitely make a reservation next time I'm in the area and try the tapas. Friendly service!

Back after a year, but unfortunately, everything is different from before. The staff are just running around, the food doesn't arrive all at once, and the bread is the last thing you get after you've already eaten everything. The second basket of bread didn't arrive at all. Unfortunately, there won't be a second visit.

What. An. Experience! I've rarely visited a restaurant that combines the culinary passion of two countries as brilliantly as Collo! The tapas? Absolutely amazing. From crispy patatas bravas with delicious aioli to grilled chorizo ​​to the absolutely amazing bruschetta with fresh tomatoes – every single dish is a small work of art. You can literally taste the Spanish sun and the Italian soul on every plate. And then the steak. People… THE steak. Grilled to perfection, wonderfully crispy on the outside, juicy and tender as butter on the inside. Refined with rosemary, sea salt, and a hint of garlic. Add a glass of full-bodied Rioja – and the evening is perfect. The service? Warm, attentive, and with real expertise. You immediately notice that the people working here are truly passionate about good food and hospitality. The ambience simply invites you to come in and fully immerse yourself in the experience! The bottom line: If you don't try this restaurant, you're missing out on a fireworks display of flavors. Spanish-Italian cuisine at its finest – I'll definitely be back. And more than once!

The service was professional and good, and it looks very comfortable to sit in. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the food! The pinchitos were very tasty, but the pimentos de patron were very bitter (not fried long enough), and the tortilla was missing Serrano ham. Secondly, I don't understand how a dish that only consists of four ingredients (potatoes, eggs, olive oil, and onions) can be so dry and bland. It's either a lack of quality or a lack of time to prepare it. Or it was just cheap convenience food, and I, stupid as I am, thought it was a tapas bar.

The food was delicious and the price was reasonable, We paid about 60 euros for 2 people. We were lucky that we didn't make a reservation but the staff helped us to sit outdoor zone. The staff were lovely, friendly and provided good service

The food is very good, the service is quick and friendly, even when there are a lot of people. It is very loud in the large room at the front, even if not all tables are occupied. Otherwise great.

I have known the Collo restaurant for many years, having often eaten in the previous restaurant, and at that time I was always in the Schüchtermann Clinic guest house. Have breakfast at Niermanns in the morning, but there is now Collo Restaurant inside. I'm very surprised at how overcrowded the restaurant is now. Actually, not that surprised, the food is very good, and the beer tastes even better at the entertaining bar. The boss and the rest of the staff are just super attuned and very nice and accommodating. Good advice so that you don't go there in vain, remember to make appointments. Kind regards, Peter West

The grilled squid is pleasantly soft, but somewhat pure in taste. The tortilla warmed up and was therefore a little dry. Mushrooms, the end stems were not removed and other little things that I noticed. Overall, the food is okay. Service very attentive and competent. The tables by the window are quite narrow, making it difficult to sit down.

The only thing I personally have to criticize is the longer waiting times, although you have to expect that on a Friday evening and when the house is full. Price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate for the food.

Went to Collo again yesterday and ate roast beef with homemade pepper sauce. It's great cinema every time. The food was perfect. It couldn't have been better. And I say that as someone who has worked as a chef for 30 years. Plus a lovely service. A successful evening. We'll be back

Delicious, great food - the ordering process was a bit bumpy, despite a reservation - the food for the table arrived at a delay - 2 people had to wait until the others got their food. Should actually be served together. Can't fault the service - they were very friendly and attentive.

Disappointed. After friends highly recommended this restaurant, we visited it Ambiance: Basically it's a large room with very LOUD acoustics. Normal table conversations were only possible when only three tables were occupied. As a result, a nice get-together is not possible. Service: Very nice and accommodating, but the unsolicited "Geduze" was not okay, it is neither "cool" nor does it belong in a restaurant. Eat: We had different dishes, although the pizza was tasty, but after a very short time it was practically cold. Conclusion: Simply because of the terrible acoustics (canteen atmosphere), the "Collo" is no longer an option for us.

A restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff. The menu offers a wide selection. We decided on fish and meat and were simply thrilled. The taste of the food was great and pleasing to the eye. The price/performance ratio was very good. You should definitely make a table reservation because the restaurant is very busy and I can only recommend it.

I don't live in Bad Rothenfelde, but was there - for personal reasons - once for 5 days and later again for 2 days. The COLLO was recommended to me by locals. To make a long story short: I ate there every day. The food is very good, the service is perfect and the atmosphere is cozy (especially around the counter). I envy the people of Bad Rothenfeld for this restaurant. Half the city seems to meet here every evening😀 The store is very, very busy - make sure you make a reservation!!

Super friendly service staff and delicious food at fair prices. Kitchen offers tapas, pizza, pasta and stir-fries. The restaurant is always busy, so reservations are recommended and you shouldn't be too sensitive to noise.

Unfortunately it was very, very loud that evening. Therefore, a star deduction for the ambience, which is otherwise very good.

I have never eaten sea bream better anywhere. Everything from the salad to the side dishes and fish was just right: everything was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented, brought by the friendly staff...no one can complain

Barrier-free access to the front terrace and the adjoining restaurant rooms. These are divided into several small plots, some with different functions. For example, there is a games area with pool table and dart machine. The anteroom to the local rooms contains a cloakroom and the toilets. An inclusion toilet is also available! The table groups with seating are not very close together. First visit, 10/04/24, group of 5 people. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our pre-booked table. The order was taken, we were informed at the same time that it would take a while and a suggestion for starters was made. All of the starter and main course dishes were very good! The plates are well preheated. Accordingly, everything stays at a good temperature. The service was very friendly, good and really fast for the full store. The prices are okay considering what is on offer. Thank you for the lovely evening. We'll be back! The points that I rated 4 ⭐️ each reflect the perceived value of the day. There is still room for improvement.

Finally a Spaniard where the delicious tapas are not drowned in oil. Great value for money. Another visit guaranteed.

A day comes to an end. Let it all end and eat something nice, of course my goal today is the Collo. A nice atmosphere, the employees coordinate well and are in a perfect mood. The menu shows a very nice selection and there is something for everyone. I had the pasta with roast beef just very well thanks to the kitchen.

We came here by chance and are really happy that we ended up here... even though the girls were really busy and the shop was packed, everyone was very friendly and polite... and the food was delicious... a branch in Euskirchen of that would be great 😉

The staff was friendly but not as attentive as you would like. The waiting time for the food/drinks was too long. Our food was good (pasta with tuna and pasta with chicken) but nothing special. Our companion wasn't feeling so well after their meal (calamares a la plancha); definitely would have needed more time on the grill.

Service was quick, attentive and responsive, getting customers into the restaurant during a rainstorm. The food was very tasty, especially the pizza had a nice, thin base. I couldn't really associate the ambience with Spanish, but it worked as a combination of and bar/restaurant.

You can get everything here! Pizza, steak, pasta dishes, tappas, Spanish beer. We chose the Saltinbocca with mixed salad and delicious white bread. We were thrilled! It was very tasty! The service ladies know exactly what they are doing and we were assigned a seat outside within 5 minutes, even though all the tables were reserved. You also know all the details of the memory card by heart. Price performance is top! We'll definitely go back when we're in Bad Rothenfelde.👍

We ate very well and the staff was very friendly. We had various tappas and they were all good. Unfortunately we are spa guests and therefore we will not be regular customers. If we were at home here, we would definitely be there regularly.

Last night we wanted to go out for a nice meal with 4 people, we said the food should all come together. Other guests came to the restaurant and got their food after a quarter of an hour. Our table... I got my tapas first after an hour after several times Inquiring, the other three still had nothing, asked again. The service person came and told us it would take a while, here are cancellation tapas, we were speechless, got up, paid our bill and left, it was a joke!! If you don't do justice to so many people, you don't have to let so many people in!

Goed gegeten. bediening vriendelijk. Alleen was de tijd tussen voor en hoofdgerecht erg snel. Ook vond ik het vreemd dat je bij een hoofdgerecht brood kreeg en geen patatjes. Dit kon je wel extra als meerprijs erbij bestellen.

Our tapas were good and definitely priced right. Extra requests, such as olive oil, were also needed immediately. Definitely worth a visit!

Best restaurant in Bad Rothenfelde!

The Spanish restaurant Collo reopened in a new location about 2 years ago. Typical Spanish tapas are served, such as grilled shrimps in various variations, pulpo piementos, bacon-wrapped dates, etc. Pizzas, pastas and various meat and fish dishes are also offered. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We sat at the counter and enjoyed the culinary time in a beautiful atmosphere. We'd love to come back. Therefore 5 stars

Went there on a spur of the moment Saturday evening and the food was fabulous as always. Operation and service were top. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. Please keep it up.

We came across Restaurant Collo a while ago and were absolutely impressed on our first visit. Even though we arrived shortly before the kitchen closed, the staff served us really well and didn't cause us any stress. On the contrary, we were even told that the dishes we chose were large portions and that we should therefore perhaps forego our additional food. We were happy to follow this advice and in the end we were more than happy to have done so. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every bite and in the end we were very grateful for the initial advice, because you don't want to ruin such a great meal by overeating!!!

Great service, great food but a very long wait for the food. We were told, and I believe it, that they prepare everything fresh, but we should allow 1.5 hours if we want a steak. A good steak including the resting time requires a maximum of 15 minutes, depending on the thickness. That's why I don't understand that at all. Even with pasta dishes you should allow 1 hour. Do they still have to grind the flour or slaughter the beef? Well, but it was still very tasty...

Best Spanish restaurant in the area

Yesterday we had a delicious meal again...at Collo, of course. You will always receive a friendly welcome and they will try to find a place, even without a reservation. Maybe there's a bit of a wait...but there's still a counter where you can sit and relax. As always, the food was very good and lovingly prepared. The service has a friendly word to say even in stressful moments. We'll definitely be back.👍

The food was good, unfortunately the restaurant doesn't offer paella and we shouldn't order tapas either because we would have had to wait an hour for our food. The staff seemed slightly overwhelmed on the holiday, but were still very friendly. I thought it was a shame not being able to order anything Spanish in a Spanish restaurant.

First of all: the food was good. If you don't mind snappy answers ("I have other things to do") and long waiting times, this is the right place for you. The visit had something slapstick-like about it, from the beginning, the table reservation over the telephone (the table was still not ready by the appointment) to the ordering of dessert ("our kitchen is now closed" - which could have been pointed out at the beginning). You constantly had the feeling that the service staff's comments were meant as a joke. But they weren't. And of course this bad habit of clearing away the used dishes from guests one by one instead of waiting until everyone at the table is finished. It would be beyond the scope to list details here (just this much from the telephone conversation: "Whether we can bring you drink XY to your table depends on how full it is"). The Aperol Spritz was a driver's spritz - even after two you could still drive a car, it was so watered down. But, as already mentioned, the food was good.

Delicious food and nice ambience. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, I received very friendly service and the waiting time for the food was completely fine. Gladly again! 👍
