Coeur D'Artichaut in Münster

Our chef of the year! We reserved a table at Coeur D'Artichaut weeks ago to crown our city trip to Münster with another culinary experience. In short: the evening in the small restaurant at the fish market exceeded all expectations! What the chef and owner Frédéric Morel serves his guests is, for us, great culinary cinema at the highest level. With his creative aromatic cuisine, the young, friendly chef with Breton roots cannot deny that he spent his years of apprenticeship and traveling with top chefs such as Joachim Wissler and Thomas Martin. But in contrast to the gourmet temples, the Coeur d'Artichaut has a relaxed atmosphere. There are only 8 tables lined up around the open kitchen. Guests can watch the kitchen team prepare each course in a concentrated and calm manner. These are then brought to the table by the chefs themselves or by qualified service and explained in detail. This first encounter with the court is a feast for the senses. Because while the interested guest listens to the explanatory words, the smell and sight of the food creates its full effect. With the first bite, the palate experiences an indescribable firework of aromas. We chose 4 courses accompanied by amuse gueule, prologue and epilogue. The menu gave us pure aromatic cuisine at the highest level from the first to the last bite. Monsieur Morel was awarded a well-deserved star by the Michelin Guide for his cooking. However, this does not mean that it joins the ranks of gourmet temples that are visited by gourmets with the red Bible under their arm. The French chef with a great love for the cuisine of his Breton homeland combines it with regional products and Creole spices to create highly individual creations that neither follow popular trends nor are accompanied by unnecessary sensationalism. His dishes are like himself: honest, straightforward and focused on the product. Also noteworthy is the perfect wine accompaniment by the competent sommelier. We haven't had such a great dining experience in a long time. A word about the prices: Eight qualified employees (four each in the kitchen and four in service) serve 8 tables in a restaurant in a prime city center location - given this constellation and the extraordinarily complex preparation of the premium products, we are of the opinion that the price/performance ratio is moderate. For us, the Coeur d'Artichaut is the best gourmet restaurant in Münster and the surrounding area. We are definitely planning another visit.

A truly exceptional restaurant. The kitchen and service are burning with love.❤️ A really nice experience. The service enchants with an incredibly good alcohol-free accompaniment to the meal, which is really something special. Everyone is sweet and nice, they are not too relaxed and not too stiff. Somehow super friendly. Like the chefs, all kind of cool. The craft deserves the 2⭐️⭐️. Thank you for the lovely evening, it was worth driving 7 hours to see you.😃

What a great experience. It becomes difficult to talk about price-performance ratio. The prices are very high. But the quality and the complete service were simply 6 stars. We enjoyed the best of 2022. Over 5 hours there wasn't a dull moment. Every course and every wine was explicitly explained. Eating at eye level. The only thing that didn't convince me was the red wine with the main course. I would have liked something different to the game. We repeated it. The best of 2023. It was absolutely successful. We'll be back. And we were also here for the end of the year 24. This time I would like to explicitly highlight the great experience with alcoholic and non-alcoholic dining accompaniment. That was extremely good. The food was great.

Dear C d' Artichaut team... You have everything you need for a heart of art. We were allowed to be guests yesterday and that's how it really was, I come from the catering industry myself, I have such a perfect implementation of hospitality with such a coherent concept. The ambience is already very nice, but is taken to a higher level by the personal hospitality of each employee. And over the course of an absolutely top-class culinary evening, you get to know almost all of the employees. We were served with enthusiasm, love and competence, as if there was nothing better at that moment. The moment soon lasted 4.5 hours and was filled with extremely fine and well thought-out food. compositions, in our case accompanied by an outstanding non-alcoholic accompaniment deserves special mention because here all the stops of the theory of taste are pulled out to achieve one to make supposed deprivation a highlight. We are completely thrilled - alors - nous aussi, nous avons un coeur d'artichaut. Keep it up... you think it can only get better. I have never eaten better. The star is completely deserved. The service is world class and so incredibly attentive, I believe that by the time my glass of water was nearing the end, a refill was already being given. Which I found crazy because you didn't have the feeling that you were being watched. The restaurant is beautiful and the open kitchen is a real highlight. What you really have to say: Try the non-alcoholic drink accompaniment. It's just as exciting as the food and a nice change from the excellent wine selection.

We had lunch with a couple of friends at the Cœur d'Artichaut restaurant on a Sunday in July, expecting to have an experience worthy of its two Michelin stars. What a disappointment! The place is sorely lacking in charm. We were installed in a building courtyard devoid of flowers, a very sanitized setting. The service, for its part, is far from being up to the standards of a starred restaurant. The menu is unique, offering 4, 5 or 6 courses, but without any flexibility. If you want to replace a dish, it's simply impossible. The food was ok, but far from the level we expected. The house champagne was disappointing, more reminiscent of a Sekt (a lower quality German sparkling wine) than a true French champagne. Plus it wasn't fresh enough. Prices aside, nothing justifies a Michelin star, let alone two. Unfortunately, we do not recommend this restaurant.

The best service in a star restaurant ever! So pleasantly warm, always available, but never intrusive. Wonderful sauces and desserts are guaranteed, and the non-alcoholic accompaniment alone is worth a visit.

Cœur D'Artichaut has truly earned its two Michelin stars; the flavors were absolutely stunning and the presentations gorgeous! We had the full 8 course menu with wine pairing, and it was unbelievably good. The various dedicated kitchen staff each brought out the particular dishes they had prepared, including the head chef who personally explained his inspirations. The wines were great and pairings were very well coordinated. Thus far this was definitely the best food I've had in Germany, and I would be thrilled to someday return.

Das Essen im Coer D'Artichaud war ein Geburtstagsgeschenk und das gebotene Essen hat die Erwartungen voll erfüllt! Die Zusammenstellung des Menüs, der Geschmack, die Zubereitung - alles außergewöhnlich, hervorragend und stimmig. Allerdings hatten die Weine der so genannten Weinbegleitung so gar nichts mit den Speisen zu tun! Da passte nichts, wirklich nichts, nullkommanichts, kein einziger Wein harmonierte mit den Speisen, eher im Gegenteil! Und irgendwie wäre es auch schön gewesen, wenn das Personal selber bemerkt hätte, dass es beim Einschenken des Weins eine Pfütze unter dem Glas fabriziert hat!

Das was hier an Speisen kreiert wird, ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. Ich finde auch die Menüpreise auf diesem Level absolut gerechtfertigt. Was ich allerdings völlig daneben finde, sind die Preise, die für die Getränke aufgerufen werden. Den Preis für die gute (nicht sehr gute) Weinbegleitung von 110€ lasse ich mal gerade noch so durchgehen. Aber muss eine Karaffe Wasser 12€, ein 0,1l-Glas mittelmäßiger Weißwein 25€ kosten? Da fühle ich mich echt abgezockt. Wegen der tollen Qualität des Essens wäre ich wahrscheinlich nochmal gekommen, werde es aber aufgrund der exorbitanten Getränkepreise sein lassen.

Mit großen Erwartungen haben wir uns an einem Freitagabend auf den Weg zu einem außergewöhnlich Abendessen nach Münster gemacht. Das das Ambiente sehr ausgeprägt und der Service hervorragend ist, haben wir schon erwartet und sind mehr als begeistert davon. Wir hatten das 8 Gang Menü mit Weinbegleitung gewählt und haben jeden einzelnen Gang genossen. Jeder der Köche konnte seinen eigenen Gang präsentieren und hervorragend erklären. Ich spare mir die Einzelheiten aufzuschreiben, aber als Fazit nur eins-hervorragend. Wir waren mehr als begeistert, wir kommen wieder! Danke an die Mannschaft für dieses außergewöhnliche Abendessen.

Auch das "Morel's Tasting" im November war wieder genial. Vom Prolog bis zum Epilog ein Vergnügen und man fiebert jedem Gang entgegen…und manchen Gang möchte man gerne sofort noch einmal essen! Das gesamte Team arbeitet hochprofessionell und hat anscheinend Spaß an der Arbeit – dies merkt man an der tollen Stimmung, die Lichtjahre entfernt von der gruseligen Steifheit der ersten Sternetempel in Deutschland ist. Es fühlt sich fast an als ob man bei Freunden zum Essen ist - zumindest bis die Fischkonservendose mit der Rechnung kommt 😉

Essen 5+ Ambiente 5 Service 5 Superstimmiges Menü. Exzellente Weinbegleitung. Der Service ist aufmerksam, aber unaufdringlich. Schöne Mischung aus Klassik und Moderne. Glatte 5! Potential für 2 Sterne! Und das trotz (oder auch wegen) zweier Schimmelkäsekomponenten. Absolute Empfehlung!

27 Euro für einen fragwürdigen, abgestandenen Champagner und 10 Euro für eine Karaffe Leitungswasser die ohne zu fragen auch noch neu gebracht wird. Das geht doch auch noch besser.

Wie man dem Coeur D‘Artichaut keine 5 Sterne geben kann erschließt sich mir nicht. Danke für einen wunderbaren Abend, großartige Speisen und Getränke sowie herzlichen Empfang und tollen Service!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend mit hervorragenden Speisen und einem zuvorkommenden Service.

Was für ein bezaubernder Abend. Das Menu war vom ersten bis zum achten und letzten Gang eine Offenbarung. Geschmacklich überraschend, aber immer fein und stimmig serviert. Fantastisch! Lockeres Ambiente. Tolle Empfehlungen für die Weine, wenn man von der eigentlichen Weinbegleitung abweichen wollte. Hier wissen einige Leute wirklich was sie tun. Dieses Restaurant ist die Reise nach Münster wert!

Vom Empfang über ein 8 Gänge Menü bis hin zur Verabschiedung war alles wirklich mehr als gelungen. Auch die alkoholfreie Begleitung zum Menü war schön stimmig zu den einzelnen Gängen. Wir waren im September letzten Jahres dort und kommen gewiss wieder. Besonders gefiel uns die schmackhafte, kreative Zubereitung der Speisen, die lockere Atmosphäre und der direkte Blick in die Küche. Es war sozusagen ein Erlebnisdinner. Herzlichen Glückwunsch auch nochmal an dieser Stelle für den 2. Stern in diesem Jahr. Der ist mehr als verdient

Überragend!🏅 Essen gehört bekanntlich zu den subjektiven Geschmackssachen im Leben, man wird sicherlich nicht jedem Geschmack gerecht, dennoch setzt das Coeur d'artichaut auf Überraschungen und Verblüffung. Geschmacklich meiner Meinung nach ein rundum gelungenes Menü mit absoluten Favoriten. Die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung hat einen erheblichen Teil zur Verblüffung beigetragen, setzt man hier auf nie für möglich gehaltene Kreationen und Kompositionen. 🍯 Der Service verdient eine 1+*, denn man fühlt sich absolut wohl hier und sehr gut bedient, sowie auch unterhalten - auch in einer größeren Runde am Tisch.🥂 Das lockere Ambiente lässt einen zwischendurch immer wieder vergessen, dass man hier in einem Sternerestaurant diniert. Fantastisch.🚀 Die 5h Aufenthalt vergingen wie im Flug und wären sicherlich noch länger geworden, hätte uns hier die Sperrfrist des Parkhauses nicht einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht.🚗 Hervorragendes Lokal, fantastisches Essen und super freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung.👑 Wir werden nicht das letzte Mal zu Gast gewesen sein. 🫶

Super Abend. Das Essen was sensationell. So viele Geschmäcker auf einmal. Einfach unbeschreiblich. Das Personal war super zuvorkommend und hat den ganzen Abend perfekt gemacht. Die Qualität war für meinen Gaumen spitze und die Präsentation der Gänge haben den Abend zum Erlebnis gemacht. Ein Restaurant, welches ich definitiv nicht das letzte mal besucht habe !

Es war einfach ein perfekter Abend mit sehr lieben Menschen (die Mitarbeiter) und herausragendem Service!! Danke für Alles.

Ebenfalls großartig ist die Weinbegleitung, sowohl mit als auch ohne Alkohol. Ich freue mich sehr für das gesamte Team über den 2. Stern und komme auf jeden Fall und gerne wieder!
