Heute hat das Essen hier nicht mal einen Stern verdient ich habe zweieinhalb Stunden auf mein Essen warten müssen es kam eiskalt an und der Salat hatte die außentemperatur von 40 Grad und das für fast 35 Euro für zweimal Gyros mit Pommes

Das erste und definitiv das letzte mal bestellt. Leute, ernsthaft? Das auf dem Bild sollen Bratkartoffeln sein...ich weiss nicht auf welchem Planeten aber garantiert nicht auf der Erde. Die Soße ist mit Sicherheit eine Fertigsoße mit garantiert ekliger Konsistenz. Und dann kam die Bestellung nicht mal komplett an. Kleiner Tipp, wer lesen kann ist klar besser informiert!

Man sollte sich mal Zeit nehmen, und die Lebensmittel Kontrolle vom Mai 2026 anschauen. Ist nach zu lesen...kann dort nicht mehr essen gehen..

Ordered 3 meals, everything was freezing cold and the wrong thing was delivered. €50 wasted. It used to be much better.

After years, we wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but unfortunately, we regretted it. Let's get to the main point. We had barely ordered when the salad arrived, as if it had been pre-made. While I was eating the salad, the waiter came to tell me that my order was no longer available and that I should choose something else. So I ordered the beef steak. Maybe five minutes later, it was already being served to me. The steak tasted like it had been taken out of the freezer, grilled once or twice, and then served to a customer. Well, I called the waiter over to heat it up, as it was still frozen and cold. I rolled my eyes as if I were lying and took it with me. Another five minutes later, it was already back. You can probably guess whether it was cooked through or not. Now let's move on to the other simple dish, the Rigatoni Bolognese. I don't know what that was, but it certainly wasn't Rigatoni Bolognese. The sauce was like water and washed away all the seasoning. It's sad what's become of the once-popular Waldhof Restaurant. It's long since ceased to be recommendable. The restaurant probably hopes that at least the Waldhof fans will remain loyal. You're mistaken. That was the first and last time. I'd rather not say anything about the toilets. I think you can get a sense of it from the photos.

I ordered €60 worth of food through Lieferando and received lukewarm and cold food almost two hours later. Absolutely outrageous! A whole €60 order down the drain. Never again will I order from that place.

I ordered rice only, without fries. Why did they just send fries? That's not possible. Where's the rice?

I went there with my best friend Gringo for a meal with his family, and I have to say the quality was good! The meat was grilled perfectly and not over-seasoned. I can recommend it.

We are extremely satisfied! The value for money is excellent, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous. The interior has a clubhouse feel, but the outdoor area is beautifully designed in a Greek style. We especially recommend the hot and cold appetizer platters – simply wow! Beautifully presented, very generous, and absolutely delicious. Best of all: the platters are delivered to your home and arrive in perfect condition. There's a bit of a shortage of bread, but the quantity of food more than makes up for it. We haven't seen such good appetizer platters at any other Greek restaurant – highly recommended!

The food tasted very bland, but the portion size and quality were good. Spices were completely foreign to the chef that evening. The service seemed a bit distracted, but always attentive. The ambiance is quite good for a clubhouse.

The gyro I ordered looked more like a kebab on a plate, and there was barely any tzatziki sauce. It tasted like a frozen gyro from Aldi.

There were seven of us there, and everyone had a different dish. The food was very good, and the service was attentive and friendly. Our only criticism would be that the food was served on cold plates. You need to improve that by serving the food under a heated bridge. We'll be back, as the beer garden is incredibly beautifully designed.

We went there with the gourmet block. I had the Dimi plate, and everything was good, including the portion size. My wife had the bifteki, which tasted sour and smelled slightly sour. The manager told us when we paid that this couldn't be right, as their meat is prepared fresh every day. Unfortunately, the colleague had already taken the plate away, to which we had already complained first; otherwise, I would have let him smell the meat. That was the first and last time we were there.

Wonderful beer garden with plenty of parking. The Greek clubhouse of SV Waldhof is first-class. The beer garden is wonderfully quiet, away from any main road. It's a Greek restaurant, and typical Greek music plays discreetly in the background. We came without a reservation with the gourmet block and were served courteously and quickly. The liver was excellent, as was the sirloin skewer. Great value for money. We'll be back even without the gourmet block.

The clubhouse of SV Waldhof 07 – who were German champions 90 (!) years ago and now languish in the middle of nowhere. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, the service is sometimes sloppy. The restaurant itself is seriously dated. It probably dates back to the time when Waldhof Mannheim played in the top division. The sculpture collection at the entrance is the largest and most absurd pile of kitsch I've ever seen in my life.

We were there again today after a long time. The drinks (Coke and Coke Zero) were stale and warm. The minced steak had no fried onions and was way too salty. The chevapcici pita was now very small, with only two chevapcici left. And both were only moderately warm. The food is getting worse and worse, but unfortunately, also getting more and more expensive. What a shame!

A lovely beer garden under large trees right next to the Waldhof soccer field. The place was quite full at around 6 p.m. Unfortunately, after an hour of waiting, our food was only lukewarm, as were the drinks. I ordered gyros, but the meat was too fatty for my taste, and the side dish (fries) was soggy and cold. So, not that great. You can't really go wrong with a Kristalweizen beer, except that it's not cold, which unfortunately wasn't the case for me. After a complaint at our table about the cold fries, we were brought several bowls of fresh ones, which I found very positive. One more minor point: the rubber rags on the tables don't contribute to a positive atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the food was cold and the drinks were warm. We had to wait forever for the food. One person in our group didn't even get their food until everyone else had finished, even though we pointed out at least three times that a dish was missing. We also would have liked more attentive service. Not once did a server come to our table to ask if we wanted anything else. At least when we complained that the fries were cold, they brought us fresh, hot fries, which at least made the lukewarm to cold meat a little more palatable.

We arrived without a reservation for two people. We received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The food was delicious. The prices were absolutely reasonable. We sat in the cozy beer garden. Comfortable seating. Finding a parking space was easy. We'll be back.

A solid Greek restaurant with good food and a lovely beer garden. There's plenty of free parking, which is really nice. The portions are generous and the prices are completely fair. The warm appetizer plate is highly recommended. The staff can be a bit distracted and sometimes a bit moody. We love coming here.

Yes, very good and inexpensive food

Not exactly the first choice for vegetarians. And unfortunately, the drinks weren't chilled that day. Even asking for ice cubes didn't help, as there weren't any. And that was 33 degrees Celsius in the shade. What shocked me most was that, as a vegetarian/pescetarian, I ended up with the highest bill.

Even though local hero Lars wasn't there, there were flies galore. Not just any flies, but the green... toilet flies. Absolutely disgusting. The food that came out of the microwave was cold inside. We basically had to wait forever for someone to acknowledge that we wanted something to eat. In retrospect, we should have left it alone. One of the two dishes (liver with onions) wasn't all that bad. Still, we won't be going back.

We've been there a few times to grab a quick bite to eat or a drink, but then my daughter ordered a tarte flambée. When it arrived at the table, we noticed that a cockroach/beetle had been baked in with it. We then told the waiter, who said, "Oh, we're sorry," and went in. A minute later, he came back and put the tarte flambée back in front of us. So we just removed the beetle. When we asked, that was the answer we got. It's a shame, but we can't condone it.

Yes, anytime. The food was excellent. I had beef liver, cooked to perfection, still slightly pink. The other five meals were also very good. We had to wait a bit for drinks today; the restaurant was very busy.

We came as a group, but we only had three menus. The server came fairly quickly and insisted on our orders. He wasn't willing to change them afterward. It was very loud inside; conversation was more like shouting. The food was okay and the value for money was good.

Long wait for food, beer was already warm. Unfriendly service. Food was nothing special. Only the ambiance was nice.

We ordered again after a long time and are very disappointed - the quality has deteriorated greatly. The metaxa was very watery and the meat wasn't that great for the price, a complete disaster. Will not be ordering there again.

I always order cheaply from the monthly menu. There is a salad with every meal. The food comes quickly. Parking is very possible. The service is friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back. Beer garden already open!

Simple, tasty, cheap! What more could you want?

We ate there today, starters were almost cold, the main course took 40 minutes to arrive. Then the wrong sauce was on the meat, this was reported, the plate was taken away, brought back after 1 minute and pepperoni was simply thrown on top. Despite everything, it was still the wrong sauce. The meat clearly tasted like gas from the grill, which upon closer inspection was incredibly dirty. It no longer has any patina if it's just dirt. It's a shame, Dimi used to be one of the best Greeks ever, but now the food is a disgrace for the price.

Went there for the first time yesterday at lunchtime with my son and we both loved it. My son first ate giant beans and then gyros with tzatziki, my meal was grilled beef liver. Both dishes were on point 👍. We'd love to come back

Wir waren im Sommer relativ oft und gern im Biergarten bei Dimi und waren auch mit dem Essen meist zufrieden. Aber die letzten zwei Male waren wirklich eine Katastrophe. Wir hatten Schnitzel mit Metaxasosse bestellt. Die Sosse wurde vermutlich so gestreckt, dass sie nur nach Wasser geschmeckt hat. Der Salat war welk und die Sosse ungenießbar. Die Bedienung unfreundlich, genervt und Unaufmerksam. Also uns sieht man dort so schnell nicht mehr. Die Preise haben auch sehr angezogen. Für das was da abgeliefert wird einfach unmögloch. Nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Sehr schade eigentlich.

We recently had dinner at “Dimi’s”. The menu on the notice board or display case outside is totally rotten, probably eaten by insects and everything else that was visible there should have actually made us turn back. The smell of nicotine all the way to the front door was another indication that it would be better to turn back. But we're not superficial and wanted to try the food because the lunch menu appealed to us. And so we looked past the many other uncomfortable impressions. But no, never again! is our summary. On the one hand, the food was cold, and the portions were obviously not enough...but, oh, what can I say? It didn't taste good. This cannot be glossed over. If you as a guest leave a restaurant hungry, then something is wrong. Too bad.

The golden years are over. That you have to adjust the price, okay. But the quality and ridiculously small portions are an argument not to come again.

Very good food and friendly staff

Our food order was forgotten, but came very quickly when we asked. But that was it for the negative criticism. Otherwise, this restaurant is highly recommended. It's a clubhouse with a corresponding ambience, which perhaps not everyone likes. But the food has the quality of an upscale restaurant and is absolutely top notch in terms of taste and appearance. And at a price that is difficult to find anywhere else these days. The service was also great. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. We were also brought flatbread with tzatziki to compensate for our forgotten meal. The bread alone was delicious. Really a recommendation...we will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to the Dimis Restaurant in the Waldhof. The fries were rock hard and barely edible. The turkey steak was dry and tasteless, while the rum steak was nothing special - I expected more. Additionally, the waiter was unfriendly and seemed to have little interest in providing pleasant service. To make matters worse, the gourmet block was not accepted either, which only increased my disappointment. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that I won't soon forget. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. You wouldn't expect a restaurant like this in Lautern but here in Mannheim

I had lunch here today and can recommend anyone to come if they want to see how it doesn't work. The service was super unfriendly, not a good day, bon appetit, is everything OK, is there anything else, ask after the meal whether it was tasty... none of it. The bifteki resembled a brick and the metaxa sauce didn't make it any better. Plus a carelessly garnished salad and I don't want to say anything more about it... I'm really very disappointed and would rather go eat Greek somewhere else soon.

I think it depends on who is there at the time, sometimes the service is great, sometimes there is nothing at all, often the food is tasty, sometimes it is below average, then there is a conversation, even the reaction to it depends on who is there at the time.

Were there again today. It was really tasty. Everyone happy. For 6 people with 4 starters, 6 meals and drinks we paid just under 134 euros. Unbeatable.....

Really not recommended. The meat tasted spoiled. The service was very uncoordinated. The toilets smell very unpleasant and there is a freezing cold draft. There is a smoking area right at the entrance, all the smoke goes into the restaurant, which is why the jackets smelled. The building is simply showing its age and it shows.

In summer it's really nice to sit outside and eat well. 👍

We order food to be delivered every Sunday, and for some time now we have noticed that, among other things, the tiramisu that we always order as dessert has become different, without cream, etc., and today's delivery basically turned one into two. It will be the case that no more orders will be ordered and I always had hope that it would get better, but the “size” of the tiramisu killed the bird today. If you want to sit outside in summer and are looking for Greek food at reasonable prices, this is the place for you. Some dishes are really good, others are not convincing even for the price. It's best to try it out!

We ate in the restaurant in the evening, so I can't say anything about the beer garden. The food could have been a little warmer, but it was really good! The service was just as good as that Value for money. I find the ambience a bit boring and in my opinion there should be more reference to the Waldhof. But you can recommend it.

Was there again and was satisfied again. Price/performance ratio is more than great. My brother is a regular guest with his family and I like to go there alone after work every now and then.

First of all: I like Dimi. Yes, the decoration, especially outside, seems a little daring. Colorful lights, odds and ends, figures and lanterns. But it has charm, I think, and you somehow feel like you're at home in the garden with some good friends. If the weather is right, you can definitely sit here and spend your time. The rather large interior area, on the other hand, seems a bit old-fashioned and unfortunately cannot hide the fact that you are in a typical club restaurant. Due to the way these locations are constructed, it is always a bit difficult to create comfort in such large, I would call it halls. At Dimi, however, one option works quite well: not only the drinks counter, but also the kitchen grill is placed in the dining room. This noticeably brightens up the room and as a guest, the view of the man at the grill offers entertainment while you wait for your food. Depending on what is currently on the grate, the smell in the room can sometimes be a little stronger. Or, to put it another way, stimulate the appetite for grilled food. We have been guests at Dimi's for many years now and have seen some changes over time, both in terms of price and taste. The prices were initially incredibly low and unrivaled far and wide. Thanks to Corona and the general economic situation, these have now been revised upwards, which is of course absolutely justified. With prices around EUR 7 for a complete menu with side dishes and salad, you can no longer run a restaurant today. The popular weekly or, more recently, monthly menu is still very affordable and you can still find some dishes under the EUR 10 mark. But even the normal menu is in the lower price segment. An example is the rump steak for EUR 18.50, or the popular Dimi platter, a large grilled plate with various meat variations, for EUR 16.50. Mind you, these prices still include an insert, e.g. B. French fries or rice, as well as a side salad. You can also invite your hunchbacked relatives to this course. During all our visits we always felt comfortable and the food never disappointed us. However, it has to be said that there are relatively large variations in taste and so you never get the same dish served identically. Sometimes there is only a little sauce over the meat, other times there is a lot of sauce (here is a reference to my photograph, which shows exactly this variation of the "loin medallions with metaxa sauce"); sometimes everything is a little spicier and sometimes prepared without a lot of spices but with a lot of cream. This is of course due to the different chefs who have to cover the daily opening hours from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. There may also be a slightly higher fluctuation at this workplace, but I cannot judge this. In any case, the rating ranges from "very good" to "three minus", depending on who is currently on duty in the kitchen. However, we have never had a really bad meal and the portion sizes were always sufficient. So please don't be put off or misunderstood. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your many years of hospitality. We like going to Dimi's and that won't change, even if there's room for improvement every now and then. So, until next time! By the way: One reviewer complained that he didn't get an ouzo after receiving the bill, but the table next door did. Well, I think that the table next door regularly ordered ouzo, because as far as I know, Dimi has never had “an ouzo on the house”. At least we never received one in 20+ visits.
