City Döner in Hameln

Staff unfriendly, took a very long time and was the worst kebab we have ever eaten. Fries were okay, but way too oversalted. Meat was really disgusting. The sauces didn't taste good either. Definitely not recommended.

“Today I went to City Döner, a kebab shop in the city center of Hameln, with my three-year-old son. When I approached the older man with the dirty mustache and asked for fries that we wanted to eat here, he reacted completely rudely. He got loud and said: 'You are not allowed to eat fries here, get out of my shop!' I have never experienced such an unfriendly and disrespectful reaction in my life. I can only recommend everyone who comes from Hamelin to avoid this shop. It's disappointing how customers are treated here - especially when you're there with a small child. This has nothing to do with hospitality and no one should have to be treated like this.” That could well reflect your concern. It makes it clear how inappropriate the behavior was and encourages people to avoid the store.

Almost everything was bad, we ate 2 kebabs, the best thing was the roll and partly the salad. Both types of meat were disgusting. The sauces, well, my husband wanted spicy, but it wasn't. Then they weren't so nice and accommodating there. We ate there and almost all the tables were dirty, had to clean our place ourselves. Will never go there again.

So unfriendly. And the food was just bad. My kebab was only half full and tasted sour. NOT recommended

We ordered kebab, meat and a kebab box. The kebab wasn't the worst I've eaten, but there's still room for improvement. My son didn't like him at all. The vegetable mixture was already mushy and the meat was very dry and bland. The fries for the box were not fresh, but were taken from the chip bowl that was already there. They weren't good either. One employee was very grumpy and gave a very rude answer to questions about the price. In general, he didn't seem like he was interested in his job. The second employee didn't even speak to us. He also didn't wash his hands after getting up from the table. But he touched fries and the like with them.

Actually, one star is already too many! When I complained about a deceased insect in my food, they complained that it had flown into me outside. No thought to service: I had the plate slammed back on the counter when the employee fished the insect out of the food. Employee 2 insulted me in the most unfriendly manner. We also ordered a pizza. A disappointment in terms of taste. Toilet doors are rancid and dirty, greasy dust on the radiator. I touched as little as possible. And I would recommend it to everyone else too! Hands off!

There was something wrong with almost every dish we ordered. Not only did it not taste good, the service was also extremely unfriendly. I would never enter this store again and if I could give 0 stars I would have done so in a heartbeat. Simply a store that shouldn't exist.

The location in downtown Hameln is very nice. Unfortunately the service is very unfriendly, especially towards children. We had a bee in our food and instead of a complaint or an apology, the only explanation was that there were no bees in the restaurant and that it was our fault. There was a visible insect invasion at the slush machine... Unfortunately very rude. We won't go there anymore...

Unfortunately, the kebab doesn't taste good at all, as if only the cheapest ingredients were used and the landlord also complained when I took 3 extra thin napkins because I had dirty hands, with the justification that every kebab only a napkin is included. Something like that just isn't possible and I will never visit this snack bar again. I don't think other customers will become regulars that way either. Looking at all the reviews here, I'm surprised that the store can still exist. Maybe it's the tourists who, unknown and without checking the reviews, go there to eat

Unfortunately, my visit to City Döner in Hameln was a big disappointment. As soon as I entered the restaurant I noticed that the cleanliness did not meet the standards you would expect from a restaurant. The tables were not wiped down and there was leftover food on the floor. This immediately leaves a bad impression and gives you the feeling that there isn't much emphasis on hygiene here. When I was finally able to order, the service was anything but friendly. The employees seemed stressed and disinterested, which was reflected in the way they interacted with customers. It was difficult to get clear information about the different dishes as my questions were answered briefly and impatiently. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't convincing either. The kebab meat was dry and barely seasoned, which took away any flavor from the dish. The bread wasn't fresh either, but tasted like it had been prepared for hours. The side dishes such as salad and sauce couldn't save the whole thing either, as they were served in minimal quantities and also had little taste. Overall, the food was carelessly prepared and seemed as if it had just been thrown together quickly without paying any attention to quality. For the price I paid, I would have expected much more. Finally, I unfortunately have to say that City Döner in Hameln needs to improve significantly not only in terms of cleanliness and service, but also in terms of the quality of the food. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will avoid it in the future.

Doner is deliciously tasty because there isn't much going on because of the reviews, it tastes much better because he puts more effort into it

Never again! Worst snack in all of Germany. Doner kebab was too dry and tasted like pork so I had to sit on the toilet for 2 days.

One star is probably still too many! When we dined there with our friends in September, the owner looked? very unfriendly and very reluctant to accept the order. He just put the food on the counter so we had to get it out ourselves. After he counted the drinks himself and then collected a lot from him later, after watching us the whole time, he realized that he had one drink too few and then came to our table. Super unfriendly and in a tone that you wouldn't expect from someone who wants to sell his goods and works in the catering industry, he started discussing this with us while we were still eating. A no-go. When we asked what he wanted money for now, he started to accuse us of wanting to "rip him and he's not stupid." I missed the meal. He got the money for the missing drink and We then left the store for 50 euros for 4 drinks, 3 fries and 2 kebabs - and on top of that, it's unkindness that you don't dare describe. When we just bought a caprisonne and a cola at the autumn market today and two minutes later wanted to go to the toilet with a small child, we were sent away because it was only a customer toilet.... Even though we had bought something there two minutes earlier. Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN!

Staff wasn't that accommodating. The kebab I got was prepared incorrectly. Nevertheless, I have to say the shop is in a top location, it's a shame that the kebab wasn't that great (I also had a stomach ache afterwards).

There wasn't enough on the plate for 12 euros. They mixed up the orders, the salad was too sour and the fries were too salty.

Rude staff, I wanted to get a portion of fries for my little daughter. When I ordered, I was insulted in an extremely harsh and impudent manner, which made me think that I only wanted to order fries and that the CityDöner didn't need to sell me a single portion of fries.

For me it's almost an insider tip, as there's hardly any waiting time due to the bad rating. The kebab there is good at the moment. Been there three times this week and will go again soon. Anyone who wants to quickly fill the hole in their stomach is well served there

Very unfriendly staff! Just wanted to wash her hands in the toilet with our three-year-old daughter (didn't even go to the toilet). When asked if that was okay, the guy behind the counter gave a very clear "NO!" At first I thought he was joking until I realized he was serious. Luckily I've never bought a kebab there and will never do so after this unfriendly campaign.

Unfortunately, City Döner cannot be recommended at all. I ate a kebab there and it didn't taste like anything. The best place to go to Bodrum is Fischpfortenstr. At least the kebab tastes good. Do the customers in Hameln who want to eat a kebab a favor and close your shop.

Order often and happily here Extra care is taken to ensure that the kebab meat is properly cooked before serving. You can also wait 2-3 minutes longer for this. Fair portions, fresh salads and delicious meat

Worst snack bar I've ever been to, wallah never had such bad stomach problems. I've now been in bed for 3/4 hours with a stomach ache, never again wallah don't do that to yourself. I wouldn't even give it one star

Die gefüllte Pizza ("Calzone" to go) war super lecker und auch mein Extrawunsch wurde berücksichtigt. Außerdem fand ich die Sitzgelegenheiten drinnen bequem, die Toilette war sauber und generell wirkte alles neuer und moderner - für einen Dönerimbiss schicker als üblich, würde ich sagen. Beide Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Einen Stern Abzug, da ich 7,50€ doch etwas teuer empfinde, aber es hat wie gesagt geschmeckt. Ich habe die gefüllte Pizza dann an der Weser gegessen. Noch ein Tipp: Vorsicht beim Tragen, denn die frittierte Calzone tropfte etwas.

Für die Lage vollkommen in Ordnung. Brot war mir persönlich zu knusprig und es wurde auch nur nach der Fleischsorte gefragt, der Rest wurde einfach so zusammengestellt.

Bester slushy in Hameln. Mit Wodka sehr zu empfehlen

Gerade eben da gewesen. Mir persönlich schmeckt der Döner gut. Der Tee war auch lecker, obwohl ich nicht gerne Tee trinke. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.👍🏻

Der Döner ist mit 4,50€ zwar etwas teurer, als in vergleichbaren Dönerbuden in Hameln, hat aber gut geschmeckt. Auch gut fand ich, dass man sich vor Zubereitung des Döners die Hände gewaschen hat!
