City Döner in Mannheim

I've been eating kebabs and yufka here since 2011. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the kebab today. Too bad, maybe next time.

Meh, not a high-quality kebab. And very thinly packed.

Hands off, food poisoning guaranteed like in my case

This döner was really yummy and fresh! They make their own bread too, which is a plus. The inside of the restaurant was quite hot, so eating outside or takeaway is a must!

For me, City Döner is a classic place to go if you're still hungry at night and want something quick to eat. I think it's outstanding that you always get the same quality here, no matter what time of day. The kebab plate is always made with love, and it always comes with a small basket of bread. You can't complain about the taste either. The staff is always super nice and friendly. The prices are also great. A kebab plate costs €13 here, and the portion is completely sufficient. Unfortunately, you can only pay in cash. However, there is an ATM 5 meters away.

A doner kebab box consisting of meat and fries (no vegetables!) for €8 is okay, but only cash payments are accepted (there's an ATM around the corner). The two slot machines and the crowd at 2 a.m. on a Sunday are, of course, the premium.

The meat had no flavor at all, the herbs were wilted and completely tasteless. No salt or spices? None! The sauce they put in it was simply disgusting. And then they charged such an exorbitant price for it – I've gotten much better kebabs for much less in Vienna. This was a complete disappointment and not even remotely edible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

This used to be a decent kebab place for a fair price. Unfortunately, the kebabs don't taste like much these days. It's a shame, though. This used to be an institution. Now it's just a shadow of its former self.

For some, it's a must-have after a night out. For me, it's more of a no-go. I got a kebab there and my stomach started rumbling. My girlfriend puked the whole night (no alcohol involved, don't worry). On the other hand, many of my friends never had any problems either. I guess everyone has to form their own opinion.

There's no cashless way to get a kebab at this shop, right next to the main train station. This is completely out of date, and considering the prices, card fees aren't even an argument. At this location, card payments are an absolute MUST!

One of the best döner kebabs you can get at late night in Germany. Quick, simple, and loaded with meat. I'm not happy with the price but that's an overall issue in Germany. Get a döner durum with fleisch and salad and you will be satisfied.

Unfortunately, it was completely tasteless. I had a Yufka doner at Mannheim City Döner and was really disappointed. The vegetables were fresh, but the meat and especially the sauce had absolutely no flavor. Neither spicy nor aromatic at all—just bland. I threw half of it away because I just didn't enjoy eating it anymore. It's a shame, I had expected much more.

Classic Ossman, it NEVER lets you down! It's always open, whether it's 12 noon or 3 a.m. The Dürüm is a legend! At 400g, this caliber sets new standards. Unfortunately, they only serve chicken – that's a shame. But otherwise: a top-notch shop!

What can I say? Even at this late hour, they served really good kebabs. You wouldn't want to complain. Good bread, juicy meat, and a good salad. And all this at 2:16 a.m. here at Mannheim Central Station. Better go there than McDonald's; you get more for your money!

Worst pide and pizza in Germany! I asked for crispy and I got soggy dough surrounded a thin crisp layer. Yuck!! This place only exists bc it's open late by the main station. Total waste of money!!?

The City-Döner in Mannheim at the main train station is a staple in Mannheim. Very ambitious, professional, fast, and efficient. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and efficient. I'll be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, the bread is very dry. The large doner kebab is a small doner kebab, and the sauce wasn't tasty either. However, it was relatively quick.

About 3 years ago the kebab was packed even fuller. Today the kebab was rather flat. But it still tastes the same as usual and is ready very quickly. Had the large kebab for 7 euros. Maybe Would you pack the kebab fuller for 9 euros. The price may have to be raised due to inflation so that the kebabs are packed full again. Otherwise very satisfied.

We were greeted with a stupid saying that was supposed to be funny. Doner was actually okay until I came across a small animal moving around. I have no idea if it was already inside or if it flew on it. In any case, I've lost my appetite. Next time I'll try directly opposite, it makes a better impression.

I don't know how they manage it - but this is simply the best kebab in all of Mannheim. Honest! It's super quick, you never wait long, but the taste blows you away every time. Juicy, spicy, fresh – and the sauce? Like grandma in Turkey! Whether it's a lunch break or an after-work snack, it's always a highlight. The guys behind the counter are always friendly and in a good mood, the prices are fair, and you can tell: there's love in the flatbread here. I got a Yufka without being asked what was supposed to be on it. When I said that I couldn't eat tomatoes, he opened the finished Yufka again and tossed them down. I then said I wanted a new one and then had to pay again (?!?!) This one also had no sauce. Better run 10 meters further to someone else. I've never experienced anything so bold before haha

What happened to your kebab? Previously delicious bread and juicy meat, hot sauce was also perfect and there was a huge portion of it, unfortunately there was nothing left. I was there today with my husband and kids. Had fallafel yufka only with sauce and a lot of onions (for a child) you have to fill the yufka with something 😠 my yuka was absolutely terrible in terms of taste, salad was fresh but tasteless, meat was barely palatable because there was just way too little, my son had a pizza that was visually appealing, poor in taste, still very doughy, almost raw, my husband had kebab, which was by far the worst of all, way too small, way too little content Meat visually unsightly, taste catastrophically greasy, raw, the smell alone made your stomach turn. How outrageous to charge such prices for poor quality products. Worst kebab ever. Upset stomach including the children were hit particularly hard. A case for the health department!!!!!!

I don't think they're even closed. - The kebab is okay; I've had better ones, but I've also had worse ones. - The shop is right next to the ATM. Cons: - Employees only wash their hands when asked. - Kebabs are always drowned in watery sauce. - The chicken sometimes chews like rubber and sometimes like leather. - The ATM is stuck 35% of the time. It is a simple kebab shop with a corresponding menu. The ambience is simple, functional and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kebab plate is highly recommended in terms of quantity and taste. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks can be taken self-service from a refrigerator. During our stay, the snack bar was always busy, even though there were several similar snack bars in the immediate vicinity. The opening hours, which extend into the night (4:00 a.m.), could be interesting for night owls who are still hungry late at night.

Honor because at night and close to the train station

We had ordered several things to eat. Among other things, a portion of pasta with tomato sauce for our child. These were warmed up in a microwave (!) and what came out was nothing but tomato sauce... I would rather say a blob of tomato paste with a lot of oil. It didn't taste good at all and was just swimming in fat. So the entire portion went back. The outrageous thing was that we seriously had to pay the 7€(?!?). We've really never experienced anything like that. - Cash only - increased prices

Absolutely excellent. Extensive menu and affordable prices. I ordered the donner meat and mushroom calzone for take away, and it was huge. The staff was so nice as well.

I went to eat there after i had a long journey because i am a tourist and i like walking so i went inside he kept making fun of me and he the service was so bad and he treated me with disrespect but then said he was “joking” then even when i ordered my food while he was giving it to me he made fun of me again even though i told him to stop. The food was okay it wasn’t the best after i was done with the food i felt so much pain in my stomach and i just immediately left the place.

I had some Pide Sucuk, the others Falafel or Döner plates. I was very happy, the Pide was great, slightly crunchy on the outside, nice and soft inside with flavorful Sucuk and cheese. The Falafel I got to try also had a great crust. Quick serving despite going there for lunch on the first of January.

Hygiene on the grade unsatisfactory!! €6.50 for a large kebab is cheeky. A small kebab is sold instead of a large one. That for €6.50. The taste is okay. Salad is not expressed. The meat wasn't the same as the egg either. It's a mix of nothing and salty. In some places the meat tasted like nothing and in some places it was totally salty. The sauce is not good. The store is absolutely messed up. Sometimes there was food on the table for 15-20 minutes without anyone clearing it away. There is no order when ordering. There are sometimes 10-20 people in the store and the owner randomly selects people to take the order. I was eating on site and had to sit at a table where people were sitting in front of them and push their plates to the side. You won't find disinfectants in times of Corona. I'm afraid I'll get really bad food poisoning after eating this. Please avoid this store if possible.

The tastiest falafel in a long time!

There is definitely no saving here! We have already gone through the entire menu and can only confirm that the portions are very generous!! Our favorites are the incredibly delicious pizzas and the pide...plus you can't go wrong with the kebab! The meat is very juicy and tastes really good. We would also like to praise the staff, very lovely people! Thank you for your work and your service!!!

Just got a kebab. Positive things first: salad tasted fresh. Negative: Little content, only chicken, no lamb/veal, not a good mix of meat and salad Sauce was OK.

Falafel yufka was very good and a huge portion. The flatbread was freshly made. I wish that was the case in my hometown. I would come again!

I don't understand the bad rating at all. The boys are always funny and the kebab is top notch. The chicken is so juicy and the salad is always fresh. The bread is homemade! Whenever I'm in Mannheim, the first place I go is City Döner. You can also sit outside in the evening and watch the vibrant city.
